in my head, reader definitely falls for him first—i mean who wouldn't right? just imagine teacher jinwoo... all dressed in black pants, crisp white button down with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. god, maybe he even wears glasses 😩 he's so articulate when he speaks, his mannerisms poised and polite, and he doesn't talk a lot but whenever he does, people will listen not because they have to but because they want to. he has unmatched charisma, very strict with his students when it comes to grades and assignments but is also very kind and nurturing at the same time. the male students think he's cool, the female students drools all over his shoes but jinwoo stays nonchalant as always, unfazed, unbothered.

then there's a little bit shy teacher!reader who dedicates all her life for her students, always going home late at night, trying to come up with new programs and schedules so they can improve more. she works hard, takes her job very seriously and jinwoo secretly admires her for that from afar. he doesn't try to date her or anything (i don't think that thought will ever cross his mind cause he's always so serious and he doesn't want to bring romance into his workplace), but before he knows it, he's grown protective of her and he wants to take care of her as best as he can, as friends (or so he thought lol).

he often shows his affection by bringing her coffee whenever he makes one for himself, or sometimes staying late just so he can offer to walk her home (because it's getting dark and he's worried about her safety). sometimes he brings two umbrellas to school when it's about to rain because he knows she always forgets to bring one with her. jinwoo always carries an umbrella with him regardless what the forecast tells him, so one time, when it suddenly poured, they walked together, sharing his umbrella and he made sure that she stayed dry even if it meant his shoulder would get drenched (and it did but he didn't mind at all).

so yeah naturally the students would start gossiping about them. one day, during the school festival, they made this fun booth called the "Love Fortune Booth" like a fun attraction where guests can come in pairs and get a "fortune" from the magical love machine. the booth is, of course, rigged. every pair that enters is basically forced to kiss or hug or make a love confession before they can walk free from the booth. the door will only open once they get to do the dare.

a student shouts "teachers should test it first for quality control!" and then they push jinwoo and reader into the booth. jinwoo is just like "these kids i swear 😑" but then he sees reader looking all flustered and nervous (and maybe excited?) and he can't help feeling a tiny bit nervous too.

the machine says something like: "Fate has spoken. A perfect match has been found. The bond shall only be sealed with a kiss!"

jinwoo huffs, "well, i guess the machine works just fine."

reader can't even meet him in the eyes, saying "yeah" under her breath

before he knows it, he's glancing at her lips—they're red and pretty and glossy and—he looks away, scratching the back of his neck. "We... don't have to do it, you know."

"I-I know."

but neither of them moves away.

she then shyly looks at him. "it says that... we have to do it if we want to unlock the door."

jinwoo sighs, running a hand through his hair "this is a trap."

but then he glances at her again and this time he catches her staring at his lips (just for a second) and his heart starts to pound. "Do you..." he can't even finish it. he doesn't know if he should.

she swallows nervously, heartbeat escalating. "i-i won't mind if... you're okay with it."

and something inside him snaps. his realization dawns on him. he wants this. no, he's been wanting to kiss her for so long. and so he leans in, cups her cheek in his hand, and he kisses her. Sweet, tender, tentative at first but immediately melts into the kiss when he feels her responding. they kiss languidly, deep but never too far (he tries to keep himself under control). when they break free, she's left a bit dazed, breathing out, "that... was for the prank?"

jinwoo glides his thumb across her lips, still captivated by how pretty, how sweet they taste. "No," he says quietly. "That was for me."

For almost a month, Kiyoomi has had an odd extension of routine that starts after his matches. It starts with going straight home ( to you ), and eating the dishes you made for him which was suggested by a dietitian of course! and then wait at least one hour before hitting the shower, and that too, a cold one since right after he is done drying himself he jumps into bed just to hold you amongst his chest like a hot bag; this . . .this particular moment is what he has been looking forward to for months and now it has finally become a part of his life, and if things do not go south then it might just last for the rest of his life. Just barely thinking of it gets him wide awake. If life was a sleepless dream, then he would not mind sleeping forever at the end of it with you.

Today, however, everything turned upside down. He came home a little late, just a little; ate silently without talking much. Generally, he turns into a yapper right when he sees you. It sure makes you worry if not disappointed or angry. It has been a month since you two started living together, so this one hour has always been filled with making this small apartment a place that you both could call “home.” Things were slowly falling into place, turning this place into a home. You were happy, and Kiyoomi? He was the happiest man in the world. 

However, crest-fallen.

Sakusa came out of the bathroom freshly showered when you were folding his clothes. Now that he can see your back properly without any thoughts lingering in his mind you look tired, sad, and perhaps. . . a little annoyed. Maybe it is not a good time to tell you the news after all but what else he can do, he does not have much time left either. He tip-toes his way towards you, slowly.

“C’mon out with it, omi. What’s up?” You say and turn towards him with a bunch of his clothes in your hand only to face a half-naked Sakusa, a pink towel wrapped around his torso, his hands in the air branching out in a form of embrace. You chuckle as you walk off to his closet but his stance remains intact just his head following you; 

his jaw drops as he enquires with utmost curiosity, “How do you always know?” which earns him just an endearing glance from you. You keep the stack of his clothes on the shelf, one by one as he finally says what has been bothering him. “I have to move out. . .to Osaka.” You had to pause before keeping the last t-shirt on the stack of clothes. Your hand is still on the edge of the closet wooden frame since you know the moment you close it— is the moment you have to face such a warped reality where you would be alone in this newly bought apartment, with no omi to wait for, cook for, or take care of. . . 

As if he could read your thoughts he mumbles sharply. “Babe, turn around.” He must be still in that pink towel. The air conditioner is on but it seems that he does not mind the cold today. You slowly turn around closing the cupboard with your hands at the back biting your lower lip in anticipation thinking if Kiyoomi had to tell you about moving out to you, then he must have tried all the possibilities of either staying here with you or taking you with him yet none of them must have worked because if it had, you two would not be standing so apart like two curtains drawn apart. 

“Oh dear God,” Kiyoomi groans as he clutches your wrist pulling you into himself. He makes you sit on the edge of the bed while he sits on the floor, legs folded keeping his head on your lap as he draws lazy patterns on the side of your thighs with both hands, simultaneously. “I never thought I’d fall in love even though I’ve planned it in my notebook ever since I was a kid.” He turns his head up, “Now that my love is here I want to keep it, safe, forever.” The water from his hair has left spots on your long tee. You run your nails through his scalp and he lets out a low even groan saying, “So, I took a week off to spend time with you and of course to get the packing done.” He has to rake his eyes open since the exhaustion blended with being sleepy along with your tender touch is too tempting not to give in.

“What?” You ask, surprised. “You did it for me?”

“Yeah. ‘course. Why wouldn’t I?”

A black pup tip-toes its way into the room and both of you watch it walk till it halts right at your feet wagging its tail, tongue hanging out of its mouth. Both of you look at each other, and then a familiar voice turns up, “We’re here love birds.” Sakusa rolls his eyes before turning around and grabbing your bathrobe to wrap himself up probably because now his senses are back enough to let him know how chill the temperature of the room is. You put your palms over your cheeks, it has become warm again, as you look at the pup. 

Just when you crouched down to pat the pup, Atsumu, Hinata, and Bokuto followed into your shared bedroom. 

“So, what’re you gonna name him?” Miya asks with a big grin plastering on his face.

“Kiyo!”

“Heyyyyy.” Naturally, Sakusa protests. Bokuto and Hinata share a look holding back their laughter. 

“Well, I call you Omi when I need something from you, or when I’m angry with you and I call you Mr. sakusa when we—you struggle to put your thoughts out in words so Atsumu interjects. 

“ —fuck.” He is still grinning. What’s he so happy about?

“Yeah. that.” you point at him while keeping your eyes still on Kiyoomi. “So, I don’t see a problem calling him Kiyo.”

When he’s brought before the mysterious princess, everyone expects swift judgment.

But you saw something in him something pure, uncorrupted, and different from the politics you were steeped in. You couldn't help but spare him, and slowly it turned to something more with Noi. Many quiet conversations, moonlit walks across sky bridges, and awkwardly sweet gestures from Noi (he totally brings you a sparkly rock like it’s a treasure), as you both fall into a slow, tentative courtship.

From others around they noticed how you slowly started to begin to smile more. Laugh, even. The palace staff whisper about how the princess seems... lighter. Like your shedding a mask that you've worn all of your life.

- Meeting the other Daemos was strange for you as they all had various reactions to you = Asch would rival you as a different kingdom that they could fight until he realized your a princess, and Noi courting you meant that Daemos had a chance of more sources of magic along with places to expand in - Rhys and you are both smart and plan things out slowly eyeing each other before studying with one another within alchemy comparing plants and what they do to one another along with spells - Pierce was silent with you most of the time so whenever you we4re reading he'd be nearby keeping watch when Noi is out with Ava and the others or it's just you two in the same room - Leif tries every way to try hurt you or sneak up plus he nearly tried to nick your wings with his blade but he seemed to have made a mistake because your wings didn't exactly bleed or lose a feather they were strong and able to throw Leif back. So occasionally you block him from trying to jab you - AVA LOVES You for comfort she uses your wings as a blanket when needed and you help listen to her rambles while you do something else smiling softly at the girl who grins at you

how do u get comms!! Like which site do you find you're getting the most attention on? And any othet tips you might have ^_^

I think it’s mostly that I’m very algorithm friendly when it comes to posting. I post art nearly everyday, if not multiple times a day, a feature most artists just cannot do. And I don’t really post anything that isn’t art related… It would be insane of me to recommend others try to do that though.

Because I post so much, people don’t, or can’t, forget that they follow me since there’s a new post to see on your feed from me all the time. Not all my posts are good, or will appeal to everyone, but that’s ok because I’ll post something else very soon. And when I’m doing comms, people see me posting comms I’ve done for other people and are reminded that I do comms almost everyday for a few weeks or whatever. And that constant reminder clearly works.

I get most of my comms from Twitter which gives me lots of feelings. But it makes sense. Now that I take comms mostly on Kofi, a lot of people don’t put what platform they came from so I’m not sure the specific numbers anymore but before I switched over to doing that I’m not kidding it was like 99% from Twitter :/

Another thing to add is that not only do I post frequently on each platform, but I post on a bunch of different platforms. It takes me a long time to post one image to all my socials but when a post flops on one platform it did fine on another. Plus it’s more convenient if that artist you like is also using the same platform you usually use right?

Im kinda going quantity over quality a bit, but i see proof it works. If I don’t post for a few days my notifications go completely dead. No engagement. Which would be fine, except that’s my entire business. Sites like Tumblr, and even Bsky now have a better non-algorithm based audience so people who want to see my art are able to find it without new content via their friends rb or relevant tags. But also anytime I put tags on any other site than Tumblr my post engagement goes down???? Do people not like seeing posts with tags in them? Apparently…

I’m focusing on post schedule because it’s pretty evident that there are much better artists than I getting less commissions so it clearly isn’t just art abilities that make commissioners come running. I’m still trying to make my art itself better of course, but I think it’s mostly that I finish so much art that I have any sort of audience at all.

Sorry this is so rambley, I’m not all that sure what to say. Getting commissions is sadly a social media thing more than an art thing I feel like, which means a lot of it is trial and error to see what works for you and your artwork to find that audience of people who like it and want to commission you.

woke up with my period and a 101.8 fever.

this medication i’m on makes my immune system practically non existent + dealing with a bunch of other health issues that wear my body out. i have school aged brothers, so anytime something starts going around i end up getting it.

i know i haven’t been consistent with posting, so im sorry about that. i’ve just been dealing with a lot with being sick, traveling, and college, as well as a bunch of chronic/autoimmune illness issues and family stuff.

it’s kinda hard to get myself to work on writing when i’m just completely exhausted all the time and still have to keep up with my normal life/responsibilities.

BUT

i do have my next ketamine infusion in a few weeks, so maybe that’ll give my energy levels a lil jump and i’ll feel like writing again.

GOD I absolutely agree re:werewolf tropes, especially in romance. I want to read so many werewolf books, but So Many play into pack dynamics/violent werewolf bf/etc etc tropes that it feels nigh impossible to find something that will Hit for me specifically. Do you (or anyone who stumbles upon this) have any recs for werewolf media? Particularly that which is outside of romance as the main plot/genre? (Nothing against romance as a whole, I just don't tend to enjoy it when it's the main focus of a story)

god yeah im the exact same, its why i usually end up gravitating more towards horror werewolves cause at least then i dont normally have to worry about weird alpha boyfriend tropes lol. i don't have any book recommendations bc i havent read a real book in years so most of this will be movies/shows/comics

Being Human (US) is really good in a lot of places (one of my absolute favorite werewolf designs), but the last season really falls into a bunch of those werewolf bullshit tropes so i pretend it doesnt exist lol. i think the good bits outweigh the stupid though! I have also watched the UK version and its. not bad. i just didnt really get into it idk.

The Order 1886 barely feels like a werewolf game even though it is for sure a werewolf game lol. i would recommend just watching a playthru tho cause the gameplay is pretty much nothing but the plot and characters are very cool!!!!

Uhhhh everyone knows van helsing which is an objectively just an ok movie but the werewolves and vampires go so hard i have to like it. Dog Soldiers is also a fun campy flick, and i enjoyed werewolves within but thats more of a mystery than a genuine werewolf movie. Annndddd i did actually like the wolf man 2025 like. its gonna piss a lot of werewolf fans off i think and i know why people dont like it but i think the ideas and themes it presents are really interesting to me specifically! so idk if the individual werewolf enjoyer will like it in the same way i did but i will recommend it if u like werewolves that really lean into the disease/virus aspect of it.

Wilde Life is a webcomic that i really enjoy that is.... werewolf adjacent. I wouldnt really call Cliff a werewolf, more of a shapeshifter, but they sometimes call him a werewolf so its close enough for me to mention it and theres lots of other cool critters and scary bits to make the comic worth recommending.

I dont think Prague Race (webcomic) is officially available anymore but that also had some fun werewolves in it. You can probably find an archive of it if you google the name (the artist's new comic, 'tiger, tiger' is also very good but has nothing to do with werewolves lol)

How to be a werewolf is another webcomic that does do a bunch of the pack dynamic trope but the characters are charming and has some romance but it isn't the primary plot, its more about family than anything. and a female werewolf main character is always a plus!

ok literally this is so niche and i probably shouldnt even bother mentioning it but i have sat on this fic for literally 8 years now and it makes me so sad the author never finished it but. one of the only werewolf fanfics ive ever read that i really clicked with was an overwatch hanzo/cassidy fic called 'spurs don't pair with scare chords' and i need to put it here bc its the platonic ideal of a werewolf fic with a well paced romance that isn't the major intrigue point. its my white whale of a fanfic and it being unfinished haunts me. i wish overwatch was good

with the amount of times you frequent bookstores, your friends have started pointing out how you’re beginning to smell like books yourself- was that comment a jab or a compliment? honestly, you’d take it as the latter from how fond you are of them.

“y/n, it’s literally the start of christmas break! don’t tell me you’re going to that one bookstore again…” you practically hear the pout in your friend, ningning’s, voice. “we’re planning to go out together later in the evening with minjeong and the others, don’t forget!”

“i won’t, i won’t!” a chuckle resounds from your end, “but what’s wrong with dropping by the bookstore every now and then?”

“you always say that!” your friend grumbles before eventually ending with a sigh, “i admire how you love books to this extent, but remember not to bury your nose in them too much, okay? i still want to see your face a bunch during the break.”

“and i’ll make sure of it, don’t worry ning.” you coo at her through the phone, “i really gotta go now though, i still have a bunch of books to return.”

“okay fineee, don’t trip on your way there or whatever.” her words make you laugh a little — and though they may sound a bit dismissive, you know it’s completely out of love and worry for you.

“i will!” you respond before the call goes silent, now packing your phone into a sling bag along with a couple of books you borrowed from your last visit.

what ningning said earlier was pretty much true, you were going back to your favorite bookstore that was only two blocks away from where you lived. aside from the convenience of its location, you were first drawn to it from the fact they allowed the borrowing of books in the first place — almost like a book rental shop.

not only was the rental fee cheap for a college student like you, but there was a little secluded area you managed to locate within the bookstore that has now become your favorite place.

sure, you had to know just where to squeeze yourself through the piles of books and shelves barricading it, but the effort was worth it, at least to you. there was a small window from the back that would shed just the right amount of light for reading in the afternoon- plus! it was quiet, mostly since it was in the far back of the store.

you enter the bookstore with a soft smile at the thought of being able to retreat back into your hidden safe space, the door’s chimes swaying lightly and making a familiar ring in your ears.

after dropping off the books that were due and picking a couple of new ones off the shelves to read, you made your way over to the furthest pile of books from the counter, sucking in a deep breath, before squeezing yourself past all of the books.

the sight of the small, cozy area brings you comfort, but… why was there someone else here? and sleeping soundly at that?

of course you were aware that there was a possibility of others knowing about your little spot, but you never imagined actually running into someone like this.

you set your books down in the corner, crouching down to meet the stranger face to face. you’re not quite sure if it's the sunlight seeping into the place from the window above but his skin glows ever so softly under the light. his fluffy hair covers up most of his eyes from the way it's messily draped, and his glasses, which look almost too perfect on him, are resting at the very edge of his nose.

'he’s… cute- wait no, i literally don’t know him,' you think to yourself before brushing off the thought, replacing it with worry about his glasses falling off.

you try poking the stranger’s arm in hopes of waking him up, yet he doesn’t budge an inch. you proceed to tap on his shoulder next, and even move up to poking his cheek really softly, but there’s still no response from the boy.

you decide that he must be really tired to not have felt your presence and lift the glasses up his nose just a little to make sure they wouldn’t slip.

surely he won’t mind if you stick around here to read now after all that, right? you really didn’t want to read in the open areas where there’s even more people roaming around.

coming to a self-made conclusion, you tuck yourself away in the opposite corner of the cramped space, opening one of your books to start reading without another word.

he stirs up a little bit after you’ve finished a chapter of the book in your hands, soon bringing a hand up to rub the drowsiness off his eyes — forgetting he was wearing glasses to begin with.

“what-” he blinks once, almost as if he was in disbelief of the sight before him, “i’m not seeing things, aren’t i…?”

“what things?” your soft-spoken question somehow knocks the sleepiness our of his system, now staring at you with wide eyes.

“OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I WAS-” you quickly cover his mouth with your hand, trying to drown out the noise he was making.

“you’re in a bookstore! remember that.” you purse your lips together, removing your hand once you were sure he calmed down. “plus, i’m not sure if we’re technically allowed here.”

“sorry, i was just really shocked. i didn’t know other people knew this place existed.” he murmurs, acting rather bashful — from all your assumptions earlier, you didn’t think his personality would be like this.

“i hope you don’t mind. i just wanted a spot to read quietly. there’s too many people outside.” you shy away, covering half your face with the book in your hands.

“no, no! it’s fine i… i don’t mind sharing.” he shrugs, moving his things to make more room for you to be comfortable.

“really?” your eyes seem to light up at his approval, and he can’t help but look away. from all the people who could’ve stumbled upon him, it just had to be you — his classmate whom he’d been crushing on since the first semester.

though, you don’t seem to recognize him, probably because he sat at the back with a cap over his head during most of the classes. but that was okay, you didn’t really need to know and maybe he could tell you another time.

“thank you! i was worried you’d be some sort of creep, but you’re pretty nice!” you start getting a little chatty now that you’ve both said more than five words to each other, and he can only feign offense to your blunt words.

“do i look like someone who’d be a creep?” he asks with a dramatic gasp, peering closer to your corner of the small space.

“i don’t mean that! even if i did say… exactly that…” you ramble off, feeling a little guilty of not filtering your words, but from the looks of it, he was only teasing you.

“sure you didn’t mean it, pretty.” he replies sarcastically with the sudden nickname rolling off his lips, catching both you and him off guard. “oh- sorry i didn’t mean it like that.”

you feel your cheeks warm up, going back to hiding your face with your book. thank god you were reading just a while ago. “it’s alright, uh, what’s your name anyways?”

“oh right, people refer to me as haechan, but you can just call me hyuck.” he replies, wondering if his name would ring a bell in your mind.

“i see… it’s nice meeting you hyuck! i’m y/n.” he genuinely can’t tell if you recognize him or not anymore at this point, well, not like it mattered anyways. the two of you had never talked in class so this was basically his first time actually meeting you.

“well, y/n, seems you’re no longer reading. am i too distracting for you?” haechan jokes lightly, causing you to laugh a little.

“and what if i said yes? go face the corner or something, why don’t you!” you jest before going back to actually finish the page you were on.

a small wave of silence passes by, yet it’s not really as uncomfortable as you thought it’d be, in fact, it felt nice knowing you had company for once.

“will you come back here again after today?” he asks abruptly, fiddling with his fingers as you continue to read.

“hm? yeah, probably.” you answer mindlessly, the sound of a page flipping becoming apparent.

“then you’ll meet me here again, won’t you?” that has you peering up from the lines of your book, now noticing the hopeful glint in the boy’s eyes.

“yeah, sure hyuck.” you smile at him and his heart goes a little haywire. “i’ll see you same time next week?”

“mhm, yeah, okay, nice-”

“you’re rambling.” you point out with a cheery laugh, “i’ll be taking that as a yes though.”

his face flushes, and he’s not entirely sure if it’s caused by embarrassment or infatuation. “yeah, it’s a yes. in this secret spot that’s… now our secret spot.” he replies, mumbling the latter parts of his words to himself.

“did you say something?”

“nope! keep reading your book, y/n. you get distracted too easily.”

“sure… i’m watching you hyuckie!” you gesture your eyes with your fingers as you speak, and he can only laugh at you with the fluttery feeling in his chest growing by the second.
