This is a little introduction for my blog, about my OCs and ships, about what's okay and not okay here.

❁ OCs & ships

I have 4 cyberpunk OCs, Heaven, Verne, Vaas and Dara. All of them are completely separated and different from canon V, they are distinct characters with their own backstories.

Heaven J. Lachance (he/him) : An half American half Canadian comedian (legal nationality : American), who is engaged to Takemura Goro. He loves good food, old 1980s music, and his an extremely kitsch at heart. His goal in life is to become famous enough to drop his day job and to live only thanks to comedy. Heaven is a cisgender gay man. His pics are under #oc: heaven !

Verne Lindenbrock (it/its) : Japanese (with German origins) Arasaka soldier who emigrated to the NUSA to work at the Konpeki Plaza. It dates Oda Sandayu and is in a QRP with Goro Takemura (Goro and Verne are polyA in my HC). . Verne is nonbinary, polyamorous and attracted to masc presenting people. Its pics are under #oc: verne !

Vaas E. Cuarón (she/he) : Puerto Rican Militech agent who dreams to break all ties with her corpo life. She dates Aurore Cassel. His years as a spy him every skill he needs to start a merc career, and to market himself into working with celebrities. Vaas is a transmasc lesbian. Her pics are under #oc: vaas !

Dara Obery (he/they) : American (with distant Irish origins) restaurant employee who got forced to work for the Tyger Claws to pay back his debt. He hates fighting and working as a ganger, but he is bound hand and foot. They dates Taylor Gibbs, and currently tries to leave Japantown to join him in Dogtown (yes, Taylor is alive in my HC). He is fairly new, but his pics are under #oc: dara !

I don't have ship names, I don't do that, sorry ! I just never come with original and cool names so I'll pass 🤣

❁ A few rules / DNI

◕ Do not refer to your own ships with Takemura Goro or Oda Sandayu under my posts. This makes me uncomfortable. You are free to have your own ships with them of course, but please don't market them under my posts.

◕ Do not argue about a character's gender or sexuality. Especially Vaas. It doesn't have to make sense to you for you to respect it. (And use the right pronouns for my OCs and myself, I swear it's easy).

◕ I am queer, and so are all of my characters. If you're LGBTphobic, just leave already.

So far the moat irksome part of thia whole polya thing? Is the fact that I write porn. Perhaps i should elaborate...

My friends and I write porn together in a roleplay like fashion. Not unusual, especiallt to those here on Tumblr. However, I suffer from over the shoulder syndrome, meaning I can't for the life of me write or even think about what i may WANT to write if i feel people are reading over my shoulder. This, as one could imagine, gets even worse when writing kinky erotica... usually involving things my partners aren't likely to be aware that I write.

We have a small living room and a single couch and love seat with only one more seats than there are people in the apartment which causes another bought of issues when we have company over. Add the fact that there are usually two or mor laptops being used at any moment in time and you can quickly see the problem. In addition to this, K is a major cuddler. I usually have no problem with this and even welcome it on most occasions. But, when I want to write? Not so much. Sometimes I'll get one partner to give me some space juuust in time for the other to get home and I'll have to start the process all over again.

I can't even just move to another room due to lack of internet access or no comfortable places to sit... and did I mention unless I explicitly tell them to leave me alone they both follow me like lost puppies sometimes?

Don't get into polya if you like a lot if alone time, that's for sure. And if you sti find yourself falling into polya, do yourself a favor and have very clear boundaries as far aa personal space and alone time

Last Friday night.

I went to an LGBTQ+ meetup group and a man noticed the necklace I was wearing (it's a wooden necklace with the infinity heart on it) and asked me if it was what it was. I told him and then asked him how he knew that.

He told me he was also polyamorous.

In that moment, I was so happy to actually know someone on a certain level who's also polyamorous that I asked him if I could get a hug (I went once to a meetup group elsewhere, but I didn't have the chance to talk to anyone.)

It really feels good to know someone who shares something rather rare with you.

(T.L.D.R: I met someone who's polyamorous and I got so happy because he's the first one I get to know who's poly)

so this post is a really nice example of why i’ve lately been feeling alienated from poly communities.  

Like, I am a person who feels that my being poly (or reasons for calling myself poly, identifying with polyamory, however you want to slice it) is connected to my aromanticism and bisexuality, and it is definitely connected to my composite “queerness” and the societal connotations of that. 

But posts like this that create a divide between queer poly people who “transcend expectations of love, attraction and relationships in a different way from other polyamorous people,” and straight couples who are just out to have sex, does not make me feel included AT ALL. Any kind of binary divide in any community puts me on edge - quelle suprise - and especially when one seems to be centering ~love~ and ~identity~ in apparent opposition to sexual desires and habits. hoooooly purity culture batman.

These are typically the people I have in mind when I think of polyamory. The pan person having a bf and a gf, the nb triads, the trans girls of various orientations who have like 4 gfs.

ok but what about queer poly people /who don’t have partners/ and aren’t sure when/if they will be acquiring them (in part bc They’re Aro and don’t quite know how to negotiate that in relationships, much less how to “get” a relationship in the first place)? I’m deeply uncomfortable with how much relationships are treated as the most important part of queer people’s lives and the defining factor in how they identify or choose to conceptualize their identity. 

Also, like, way to erase queer people who are swingers and hook up with people as couples, while making “boyfriends and girlfriends/romantic partners” your main example. Stop trying to cut me off from feeling solidarity with those cishet swingers, for the love of god.

Polyamory Thoughts 1

So I am in my first polyamorous relationship, and I have to say I love it. Our polycule is rather interesting, I am boyfriends with A, and A is engaged to D, and they both are dating Z. Oh and i forgot to mention A and I are long distance. It’s a pain in the butt I know, but we are trying to make it work.

I got to go up and see A and D a few weeks ago, and it made me so happy and sad at the same time. Happy I got to physically see and touch my bf and happy I got the chance to socialize and spend time with D. Sad happened when I had to leave and it made me realize I rather hate the fact that I am 800 miles away. But that is life and I have to just keep chugging ahead. Maybe in the future we will have a big ol house where we can all live, I dunno, we’ll see what the future holds.

Emotions are hard (yeah no shit), and being long distance makes it 10x harder. My bf has some mental health issues and it pains me that I can’t be there for him when he’s having a rough time, but I am also relieved that he has D and Z there to be his shoulders to lean on, his support. Since I’ve been living here in Texas I’ve not had a very active social life and haven’t been dating anyone. And it’s dawned on me recently that I might be feeling a bit left out. They guys have each other there physically to lean on for support and just to spend time together and I have I have no one here. Well my family, but no one like a partner, and that makes me.... well, it makes me sad.

So what do I do to fix this? I’m gonna try and communicate these feelings to my bf, and I might try dating here in Texas. I’ve been avoiding advances from guys that seemed like they wanted more than just a fun time. I wasn’t sure I wanted to add another man to my life, and I’m still not sure. The guys who have shown interest in me here haven’t really sparked my fire. But maybe I just need to be more open minded. We’ll see.
