You know, I hope there's some real recognition for Mu Sheng in the coming episodes. When Miao Miao first joined the group he was rightfully scolded for bullying her, but as the group relationship improved he was still blamed and barely shown any familial affection from Mu Yao. It was understandable initially because Miao Miao was her first female friend and she got the chance to dote on her like a little sister, but her everyday interactions with Mu Sheng never got better. I think that's why it's taken me so long to warm up to Mu Yao's character, because she never seemed to stand beside Mu Sheng or support him like family. She's always taking someone else's side or not checking in with him at all.

And then! After Miao Miao attempted to draw Crescent from the stone and failed, Guo Xiu checked with Mu Yao and Fu Yi and no one bothered to even consider Mu Sheng as an option? His own sister didn't even consider him. There are so many moments like that, no wonder he's so suspicious of Miao Miao in the beginning and then falls fast and hard. She's the only one that tries with him, even if it was fake in the beginning. Idk this is kind of getting away from me but I just want Mu Sheng to be recognized by people around him. I want him to recieve the same effort he puts in to taking care of the ones close to him.

Update as of ep 24: Mu Yao is the best. Her defense of her brother and her apology/conversation with him is *everything* I wanted from her and more. I'm so happy to see her soften up as the show progresses, and act less like the aloof head of the family and more like a sister and friend who can rely on her loved ones. ♡

I love Hoshina's English voice actor so much. I love his choices. Switching back and forth between the Japanese and English audio on all my favorite Hoshina scenes to listen to them both. Someone tell Landon McDonald I love him pls. 🫶

Episode 26 was good, I really liked getting more backstory for Mu Sheng and Liu Fu Yi. Fu Yi opening up to Mu Yao about his 'inner demon' was a long time coming. It's been difficult to care much about him as a character because of how little we knew about him, and how stoic he is most of the time. I respect him a lot for protecting Mu Sheng's secret, and now I like him even more knowing his background bc he could easily hate demons but he doesn't.

It feels like we're moving forward again, hopefully we've left behind the slow pacing of the last few episodes. I'm very curious to know what was up with the storyteller guy when he asked Miao Miao if she had forgotten anything, and told her only one of them could wake up. Like?? That's so ominous buddy??? Who was speaking through him? The system? The author? 🤔 *insert CSI theme song*

I don't fully trust Liu Niang, she seems sus to me. But I'm really enjoying how the story is unraveling now, and I'm glad there's less angst and tragedy compared to the 'original' storyline. So far. 😬

You don't have to 'suck it up' if it hurts, if it's distressing, if you avoid making an appointment because of it. Ask for a pediatric speculum. Not all vaginas are the same size, and you have options! Your health and comfort matters, at any stage of life. ♡
