I was trying to eat noodles neatly and for some reason I got sad midway. So I drew them messy eating a biscuit and a strawberry to combat sad noodle blues.

Finalist Design Notes

The (Trench) Coat

A bit more tattered up from last time

Hook is stuffed as well and can be attached to either hand magnetically

Chains are just strips of of felt

The previously used brown pallet is also available (not shown here due to time constraints)

The Target

This is Owl's Burning Glass design for their Skeptic, also known as Prisoner Skeptic

They are roughly a head bigger than their previous iteration and only comes in one color

Head is (de)attachable with the use of velcro (you can attach his head in any direction!)

Chains on the wrist shackles are flat felt, the chain on the neck is also plush

Wings are now made of faux fur as well

I already knew if Target made it into the finals their respective plushie would be based off of Owl's Burning Glass au but Trench Coat was harder to place. They had already been put into various outfits already, it was just picking which one. In keeping with the Prisoner/Cage and the all around chain vibe Burning Glass gave I decided to go for this drawing Remaking made which I believe is based off of Cage considering the hook. For the record, I did think about using their HEA design, it would have contrasted using both Grey brothers' routes and yada yada... but nothing says Skeptic like chains, chains, and more chains

That wraps up my (not quite) contractual obligation to this sexyman tournament. Depending on which voice is next you may see one of my own competing [ominous] . . . If not I will see you all again at this wonderful venue for the next batch of voice plushies

I've always loved redraws of this iconic cover and now I finally got to do one myself for this pathetic loser who is Down So Bad

I had so much fun with this, though admittedly the most fun part was going back through the anime to grab all the screenshots and arranging them like a little collage. I tried to make them all look at him (except the one but shhhh)

Mitya of course belongs to @ogata-apologist (though I am thiiiiis close to just. putting him in my pocket and never giving him back just like that copy of A Link to the Past I never gave my friend back when I was 13)

why do manufacturers make toys that have joints for poseable limbs, but are sculpted in such a way that there's only one pose that they can look natural in (which is also usually the only pose they can balance in)

my friend in elementary school had two of this toy and this pose he's in here is the only real pose he can make. i tried to get him to stand like a crab, but his ankles don't rotate, so it doesn't work. maybe he could awkwardly sit on a chair?? his impractical design haunts me

so you know how in smash joker uses arsene’s wings as their special recovery? i think that’s just something they can do in general

also that strikers art where arsene’s wings are all bright and colorful? oil spill lookin stuff

and nargacuga (and lucent somewhat?) inspo. personas give more than just the default amount of power, things like special sorta sub abilities - like ann breathe fire or yusuke can cause frostbite with a touch. this is active stuff but there’s also passive stuff (temp control, static electricity, etc.)
