Hello! I saw your post about how you deeply believe that John and Paul had sex frequently, and honestly I'm on the fence on whether or not I believe that they did. I was wondering if there were any particular reasons as to why you believe this or if it was just a feeling lol.

there's fsdfasdadf a lot To Me that convinces me but i'm not sure how solid it is so i'd say it's Mostly a feeling/vibe but i'll work through my reasoning under the cut (separated into The Vibes and then actual shit they've said/done that makes me go uh. hm.)

disclaimer: obviously i can't know if they fucked. at the end of the day it truly does not have any impact on my life if they did or not. this is also solely getting into whether or not they fucked, not the rest of the crazy shit they had going on bc that would genuinely take a 1000 page novel. i'm also not getting into proof about either one of them having gay sex bc if we take them both at face value that answer is a resounding "no" and this isn't about proving their queerness

i will say first of all we know for a fact they jerked off together & had sex in the same bed so i'm gonna go ahead and count that as sex bc it's 2025 and queer people have made leaps and bounds away from considering penetrative sex the only kind of sex that exists. but i don't think they would've considered either of those things sex. but in my view? that was sex. does also mean they've had sex with the other quarrymen though #happypride

first of for me is their personalities/circumstances. i mean it's obviously all very nuanced and i never knew them so there's aspects to their personalities that we obviously aren't privy to. but they were both very sexual people with incredibly loose sexual boundaries, neither of whom really ever had (or at least expressed) religious hangups around sex, and who were Both at the like forefront of the whole changing culture of the 60s to become freer, looser, less repressed. obviously them being free with heterosexual sex doesn't automatically equate to them having the same feelings about homosexual sex, but it's a factor in the way i think about it anyway.

we already know they were loose with sex with Each Other as well. there's ofc the beat the meatles thing (group wanking with the quarrymen/early beatles) but there's also the fact that they'd all have sex in the same tiny ass room in hamburg & the fact that john and paul allegedly had a foursome with a couple of girls whose pictures they took back in liverpool (on the same bed). again, that doesn't Necessarily translate to "yeah they'd have gay sex" but it just sets up that they weren't really prudish about sex and they weren't shy about having sex around/near each other. there's ALSO a different version of the story john told to pete floating around somewhere (can't find it rn so don't quote me on this) where in addition to everything else he mentions it (as in letting brian jerk him off) not being different than what he does with his friends. which does also implicate everyone Else, not just paul, but it's interesting.

i just do Not think that john would've had the self restraint to not make a move on paul if he wanted to. and from Well Everything, we can tell that he wanted to. john wasn't someone who had a lot of self control & i don't think his relationship to paul being "too important" or anything like that would've stopped him either. and i think if he'd made a move & paul shot him down, we would have never heard the end of it and there would've never been the beatles in the first place bc i don't think john would've taken it well at all. on paul's end, i can't see him turning john down either. if they were already jerking off together, potentially jerking each other off, having sex in the same bed, etc, i don't think it's a stretch to say he wouldn't have shoved john off for going further. and again, if he had, there would've been a more dramatic reaction. which means either john Never made a move, or he did & paul went with it.

ofc there's the whole india theory but i do not buy into that even remotely and i'm not getting into why again but tl;dr i just don't think it would be in character for Either of them to have this big dramatic rejection of john's feelings and for john to wait and simmer in it for 2 years before breaking up the band. i think if anything like that happened he would've lost his goddamn mind immediately and the band wouldn't have made it beyond like two more months lmao

i can however see paul making a move and john shooting it down due to His Issues, but i don't really see any time period where that would've potentially happened yk like there's not enough there to speculate on that one. but i can see it more than the opposite

they were also on so, so many drugs. you take two people with loose sexual boundaries and you put them on uppers/alcohol/weed/lsd/coke and i truly think it's more unlikely that they didn't ever fuck. i think most anyone who regularly gets drunk/high has at least one story about making out with/fucking someone they shouldn't. oftentimes when you can't remember shit.

Mixed feelings as always:

Percy's dream slapped. I loved Kronos's actor. It felt perfectly eery. No notes.

No percabeth late night convo on the truck. This doesn't surprise me given we sort of did that on the train already, but now there's just another iconic book moment that we'll get bits and pieces of, but never actually get to see in its entirety/original setting.

I did vibe with the glass prism tool for the iris message and it was pretty cool. The Percy + Annabeth argument was great but I'm gonna be honest, Luke being like "you're arguing like an old married couple" was laying it on a tad thick to me idk idk. I know I'll probably be in the minority there lol but I think it would have liked the line better if Percy and Annabeth got more embarrassed to his statement but they both reacted to it like :/ so it just felt heavy handed on the show runners part more than anything

Lotus Hotel vibes? Lackluster. Uninspired. It just didn't capture that outrageous paradise for kids feeling from the book because they turned it into Hermes' hangout so there's a whole bunch more adults than kids. Basically felt like if you took the movie's version and turned down the energy of it by a mile lmao. (Which is also ironic given RR's post about it today).

And of course the kids immediately know what's happening so like. No fun mystery. No Percy figuring it out. Just them being like "omg we need to be careful" and then immediately separating from Grover lmao.

Okay. LMM's Hermes.... it wasn't bad. Thankfully there was no singing. He was fine. It's more or less that turning the Lotus story line into a Hermes' storyline was like an "okay, I guess we're doing this" thing. I mean I guess we finally introduced something for the non-book reader's to pick up on that Luke might not have the best relationship with his dad (and consequently the gods). But like, nothing about this storyline is something that isn't introduced later on in the books. Nor was it better or more interesting than the original lotus storyline in the books.

Again, its the constant replacement of everything fun and silly and absurd in the book and turning it into a very serious moment, is just like, killing the energy. Seriousness is good. Silliness is also good. The book balanced it greatly. The show struggles here.

But um 4 pearls, so no dilemma about who to save. A part of me is relieved because the show's created like 3 other sacrifice convo scenarios so its gotten bit reductive, but Sally being a part of the equation is an entirely different dynamic and now that dilemma is theoretically gone. (unless he loses one of the pearls?)

And Percy's missed the deadline?? Right?? So like? I really don't know what we're doing anymore. In the book the deadline was pretty strict lol. Here I guess the deadline was like, a loose suggestion? Percy's walking into the middle of the god's battle field with master bolt in his hand? Idk.

Overall things in the show feel messy and way less cohesive. They seem to know that certain things from the book are important but not necessarily why, or they'll introduce events or plot points strangely late or way too early.

your post about the human au with beel as a farmer has me giggling and kicking my feet!! and now i can't stop imagining the brothers on their own little farm (writing this even though i know nothing about farming)

lucifer and satan mainly handle the finances, making sure they have the best equipment and techniques to produce good crops. the goats and sheep seem to take a liking to lucifer, especially the baby ones, who love chewing on his clothes. satan stays away from them bc they keep thinking his blond hair is food, choosing instead to coo over the farm cats

mammon and levi are the unofficial handlers and bully victims of the birds. mammon gets pecked by the chickens as he goes to collect their eggs, and he says one day, he'll cook them all up as revenge!! (everyone knows he's lying). levi spends more time with the ducks, where they quack at him on the farm and when he's fishing at the local ponds. (one time, a group of baby ducks imprinted on him and followed him home. it took forever for him to get them back to their mama)

asmo does a lot of advertising for the farm, with both his social media and charming personality at the farmers' market. he designs the cutest packaging and sews any holes that end up in his brothers' clothes with lovely little patches. his favorite animals on the farm (a couple piglets and bunnies) are marked with pink bows, but you could tell by how he squeals whenever he sees them

you already went over beel, but i imagine him still having his super strength and can easily carry adult sheep with ease. he also has gained a lot of (kissable) freckles from being in the sun all the time

belphie is a straight up cow whisperer, which may be caused by his habit of cuddling with the cows on their pasture to skip out on chores. but he's great at milking and can instantly tell if something's wrong with the cows, to the point that other farmers go to him in need of help. he's a lazybones hero!

Honestly, I'm surprised that little post of mine got so much attention lol! I was definitely thinking about it more in terms of what I think the boys would do if they were humans, rather than how it would be if they all worked on the same farm. But I saw a couple tags suggesting a Stardew Valley crossover, which could be all of them on the same farm or all of them with separate farms. I haven't played Stardew in a long time, but I am so obsessed with farming sims it's ridiculous. My favorite is Story of Seasons Trio of Towns, I've played it so many times and I still replay it from time to time because I loved it so much lol.

ANYWAY that's all to say that my farming experience comes almost entirely from video games. I took a class about plants and agriculture in high school, but otherwise it's all vibes and cozy gaming!

But I think you've nailed it with these. I keep seeing Satan falling asleep in a pile of hay, just completely covered in barn cats. Cute lil Asmo all decked out like a farmer but only for the aesthetic 'cause he's running that farmer's market booth like nobody's business. Cow whisperer Belphie, please I love it so much.

Also freckled, sun-kissed Beel... human!Beel would have so many freckles if he spent any time outside at all. I love this because I'm extremely freckled myself and it'd be really cute if MC had freckles to match his.

Though I actually hadn't even thought about MC's role in a human au. Since they're already human. Would it be reversed? MC is the demon in this scenario? Or just MC is their same human self but they meet the others in a different way? I think both options could be interesting. I was initially going with the idea of there being no magic and no realms though.

I was trying to think of what the characters would do with their lives based on their interests and Beel just screamed farmer to me. Like yeah he probably still works out a bunch, but he really loves food. So I thought it would be interesting to consider that as his primary motivation for wanting to become a farmer. He just wants to feed everybody.

Anyway, I love this, I'm thoroughly enjoying imagining the boys on their farm. Though Mammon threatening to cook the chickens is hilarious. Like I can just hear him saying that to a bunch of indifferent hens, too. It reminds me of a story my mom used to tell me about my great-grandmother getting so annoyed at my uncle's pet rooster for getting his beak tangled in her yarn that she straight up made soup out of him. I dunno how true that story is, but it's one my mom & her siblings have told me numerous times lol.

Twenty (Three!) Years of Humanistic!

Abandoned Pools' first album, Humanistic was released 23 years ago today, on September 25th, 2001! For anyone who doesn't know, Abandoned Pools is my all time favorite band! I found them through Clone High in September of 2020 and immediately connected with a LOT of their songs, and in that time, Humanistic became my all time favorite album! A spot that it still retains to this day hehe.

So when I found out that the following year, almost a year to the day from when I started listening to Abandoned Pools, was Humanistic's 20th anniversary, I knew I wanted to make something big for that occasion! I ended up making a drawing based on each song in the album! This is similar to what I did for Owl City's album Cinematic later on, which I posted last year.

This is also sort of a look at proto Let's Get Back! in a way! I made this when LGB! was still just a duo act with PB and Shep, since Rye and Pumpernickel didn't join the lineup until I was about halfway through the project, and the band wasn't officially named Let's Get Back! until February of 2022 lol. The cover image here is based on the actual album cover for Humanistic, and I edited later to say "Covers by Let's Get Back!" to make it consistent with the rest of my LGB! art :3

Each piece in the series is below the cut along with the song they're connected to and some explanation about each one. Again, these pieces are three years old at this point, so some of the art is a bit wonky looking and some of these piece I'd do differently if I were to do them today, but most of them still hold up pretty well I think! :D

1: The Remedy

I based this one on the line “save your breath, your soul is hollow” and wanted to do something simplistic but still interesting! According to my friend who also likes the song, this is “exactly how that song feels” lol. It was fun working with silhouettes here, which is something I've done here and there in the time since.

2: Mercy Kiss

I decided to not actually draw them kissing bc the song says “I don’t need your mercy kiss” haha. Wanted to capture sort of a defiant attitude for this one. Posing is a little off here, and I've tweaked some minor things abt their design but overall one that I'm still pretty happy with :]

3: Start Over

I was SUPER happy with the posing on this one, I love the sense of motion it has. Basically, I wanted to express being stuck in a cycle and just wanting to go back to the way things were, which was something I was REALLY feeling at the time, but is still sort of applicable today.

4: Monster

Another one I REALLY like, with this one, I wanted to show that I can be a force to be reckoned with when standing up for myself. Or at least that’s how the song makes me feel. It’s a good rampage song too. This is another case where I really like how the pose came out. As you can also see, this is the only piece without PB since I wasn't sure how to incorporate him into this idea, but I’m sure he’s still involved somehow lol. Also this is the best song called Monster, I do not take criticism at this time.

5: Blood

Blood always feels like a sort of gloomy, spiral-y type song, so that’s what I went for. The line “we watch it burn, and we never learn, this can’t be what you’re waiting for” was really the focus for this one. A neat vibe with this one overall I think that I'm pretty happy with.

6: Suburban Muse

Suburban Muse makes me think of like, a fake sitcom town where things look normal, but things aren’t as great as they seem if you look a little closer. It even says “cue the canned applause” at one point. Also, those sort of, weird reality dreamscape neighborhood liminal space images like this where you can see where it's coming from but they just feel, off y'know

7: Sunny Day

This one is kinda weird because Sunny Day is kinda weird (though in like the best possible way, I love it). I couldn’t quite come up with a solid idea for both my OCs here, so I based them on two separate lines: “my head is inside a cloud” for PB, and “get off the bathroom floor” for Shep. In hindsight, I don't think the two separate lines approach really worked here since it feels more disjointed and not really representative of the full song, but I still like it well enough.

8: L.V.B.D.

This one was hard to come up with something for. I’ve never been super crazy abt L.V.B.D. since it feels, Very Hetero™ and I’m not about that. But it’s still sounds great and I’m definitely super glad it’s part of the album. Went for drawing Shep and PB here as little stuffed dolls, which is related to the acronym in the song’s title (which stands for Little Virgin Baby Doll) and I couldn’t think of anything better aha. I should draw plushies more often though

9: Ruin Your Life

Important: Shep and PB are only upset with upset with each other for the sake of this drawing, as I refuse to let anything bad happen between them for real. Anyways, the expressions were really fun in this one, and oh boy does this song feel very relatable over the last year or so.

10: Never

This one is very similar to Ruin Your Life for me, where it’s a sort of comforting during a dark time kind of way. Just crossing the days off hoping that things will get better soon, that’s what I went for here. The calendar is listed as 10/12 since this is the 10th song out of the 12 on the album, and the image is a reference to a previous drawing I had done of PB and Shep together :3

11: Seed

Personally, Seed is my least favorite song from the album as a whole, for similar reasons to L.V.B.D. but in a, more gross kinda way that conflicts with my ace side. The song still sounds great musically for sure. Even tho I’m not super crazy abt the song, I actually really like how this drawing came out, in fact it might be my favorite out of the whole batch, ironically enough lol. The boys are looking down into a hole from the line “there’s no more grace to fall from, there’s nowhere left to go but down” and I'm really happy with how the perspective turned out!

12: Fluorescein

Finally, Fluorescein is my favorite song of the entire album, and my favorite song in general! It’s so aggressive and loud, I love it. I decided to draw PB confronting a giant Shep bc the song makes me feel like I can take on a huge adversary and win >:] Although I do like what I chose to do here, I kinda wish I had come up with something better to represent my all time favorite song lol

So in conclusion, like I said, Humanistic is my all time favorite album and it means so much to me. Really all of AP’s work really means a lot to me, but Humanistic in particular. I found the band through watching Clone High and I am all the better for it. So thank you to Abandoned Pools for making something that I’ve gotten so much out of and I absolutely cannot wait for the sixth album coming at the end of next year!! :D

so first off,,

as you can obviously tell, armin is my CHILD. my son. my reason for being tbh. so I'm gonna start with him

I love the idea of armin being like, stupid ticklish. he gives like "you just look ticklish" vibes, impossible to fight me on this. obv eren tickles him the most, and sometimes mikasa, ever since then were kids. also reiner tickles him fairly often (lowkey realllllly love reimin or arurei or whatever their ship name is lol), and jean also to a lesser extent (also love jearmin!). armin is really ticklish everywhere but his thighs are his WORST spot, like he just breaks down into helpless squealing laughter. his knees and hips and sides are also pretty bad. idek man I'll probably have to make a separate post for him sometime bc I have 1000000000 thoughts tbh and I want to do other characters in this post too hahaha

EREN okay eren. I'm always torn between his ribs and his neck and his tumby for his worst spot, depends on my mood I guess lol but he is also ticklish everywhere. he is DRAMATIC when he's tickled, like he yells and swears and makes threats, even when it's just someone like armin or mikasa tickling him which he doesn't even really mind. when it's someone like jean tho he goes actually feral, will bite 100%. is also totally the person to deny he's ticklish, like armin will poke his ribs to get his attention (not even meaning to tickle him) and eren will YELP and when connie or someone is like "woah, are you okay?" mikasa will just go "oh yeah he's fine, he's just really ticklish" and eren goes red and he's like "SHUT UP MIKASA NO I'M NOT" also will probably have to make an eremin specific post at some point lol

okay reiner. literally reiner is the best ler, he's so fun but careful and he's def the resident tickle monster (so is connie but in a more annoying way lmao). tickles armin quite a bit, like he's made it his mission to make armin smile (bc armin is CUTE), but he's more like fun and gentle when tickling armin. when it's eren or berthold or connie he's way meaner lmao like he will make them scream on principle alone. reiner is most ticklish on the backs of his ribs, makes him laugh super LOUD and DEEP and it's actually awesome. but bc he can turn the tables so easily if the others want to get him good for longer than 10 seconds they have to like, dogpile him lol

random segue to levi, idk I just thought of him next lol. most ticklish on his hips and the sides of his back. like if erwin really wants to make him squirm he'll tickle the sides of levi's back suuuuper gently with his nails until levi actually whines (and then punches him lmao). honestly canon-verse I don't think anyone tries tickling him.. in a head canon-verse where he and erwin are together (like the hc I just gave lol) I feel like erwin tickles him a lot when they're cuddling or early in the morning, whenever levi's guard/aggression is down more, and his laugh is all stutter-y and raspy and it's actually really really cute. these are pretty much my only thoughts on levi bc I feel like his character is hard to add tickles to without it being super out of character (super impressed when people write tickle fics with levi that actually feel levi-esque, definitely not something I could accomplish so it always leaves me in awe) , but they're Very Important to me and I stand by them!!!

i have an ask about what visions hsr characters would have, but im making separate post for sunday and robin bc their section got too long lol

i think its interesting to contrast christian ayato and normal ayato, like what caused their differences and how they'd translate to visions\behavior strategies overall. both of them have spoiled princelings vibes, both operate as manipulators\deceivers\ playing a role while having secret motives, both have like spymaster\secrecy thing with operating within corrupt system against that corrupt system while trying to keep up appearances they support it (sunday obv, but ayato saying everything he does is for raiden, while smuggling rebellion troops into her palace. he's so funny, i love him)

but their circumstances were very different. sunday had to struggle as a child for being an orphan until adopted by mr. goper? grober? whats his name, and after that he lived in privilege, having mr. goober as a mentor. ayato in contrast, had happy rich childhood until his parents died and left him an entire commission in crisis of political intrigues as a young teen and young sister to care for, and he had no one to help or mentor him. he's rebuilt yashiro commision by himself, while under constant attacks from fatui. as a result, he's much more decisive, ready to cut a bitch at any moment and operates on "offense is best defense".

like, take the infamous bird dilemma we had to listen to for like 2 hours from sunday. robin let the dove out of the cage and the dove died bc world is cruel, should we let the birds out of cages? robin got attacked on her mormon missionary tour and got into hospital, should she be let out at all?

ayato would not have a problem here at all. he trained ayaka at sword mastery and he only let her to become a public figure when she received her vision and beat him at a sparring match. he made sure she's prepared to deal with danger instead of just hiding her from it. this is why ayaka is also much more proactive than robin, she personally organizes vision hunt resistance, while robin had to be like kidnapped and shown the problems and even then all she does is be like "brother, this is bad. I refuse to sing :\"

so while both of them are protective, sunday's solution is to hide ppl from the world, not let them experience it at all in case they might encounter danger, while for ayato it's to make sure they are strong enough to deal with that danger. thats i think their core difference.

so to translate this all to visions, i think sunday would also have hydro vision, for all reasons i listed in the beginning, playing the role, double motives, etc. BUT while's ayato's whole kit is offense oriented, sunday's would be much more defensive. just like ayaka's is pure DPS who takes main action in a team while robin is a buffer who can only deal some damage as a follow up to someone else. robin i think still would be cryo for how sheltered she is, but obv a buffer, not dps.

if i had to speculate, i'd say sunday would also AOE burst that stays on field, but if ayato's is about damage and buffing his own attacks, sunday's would be about crowd control. and while ayato's skill creates brief water illusion of himself as a bait, sunday i think would be similar, but he creates several water mannequins, they are very tanky and they are taunts, they are meant to draw aggro away from the team. they deal small amount of damage to enemies, but only if attacked, and when destroyed, they blow up for decent damage, and active character receives a shield.

flip the canvas occasionally to check for mistakes, but not too much or it defeats the purpose

use references, the more the better!

if something is hard to draw, trace a picture of it to practice and then try it on ur own

learning basic color theory is easy but you can also cheat with blending modes lol. (pssst make a new layer on top, fill it with a nice color, change the blending mode (my favorite is Soft Light), and/or change the layers opacity)

do stuff with ur lines! varying line thickness is great for making important things stand out, separating things that overlap, etc... you can use darker colored lines for important stuff and lighter lines for details, or all light colors for a soft feel. i almost never have pure black lines

i also never use black for shadows; i use a color from the rainbow (usually blue) with the blending mode set to multiply. purple looks good almost everywhere, green gives a natural vibe, red is good for human skin tones

it might not affect the final art that much but i like drawing on a medium gray background, not white. it reduces eyestrain and kinda helps me color stuff better?

sketch a simple stick figure to plan out a pose before actually drawing it

do warmup sketches! i dont feel a huge difference from this personally but some people do, i usually just draw something simple like a snake

keep simple physics and gravity in mind. body parts squish when bearing weight on something. things like hair and loose clothes tend to hang down when still. if youre drawing a character in motion, those loose things should also reflect that

this is really specific, but eyeballs are not just spheres. the iris (colorful part of the eye) is kinda like a bowl and the pupil (black part) is at the bottom of the bowl. keeping that in mind with perspective is a nice touch of realism and depth

super lazy secret hack to make it look glowy when the drawing is done: save it as a png, have png as a new layer on top, blur until unrecognizable, set blending mode to overlay, lower layer opacity as you want, enjoy!!

Well hello! Saw ur post about the thing with the gfs and i kinda hate that i'm invested but i am. I'm usually in that part of the fandom that doesn't know a lot and i don't go in those "circles" (i actually have no friends in the fandom lol). I've heard some rumors since 2023 but it was always very surface level, never any evidence, never any names, any pictures. So seeing the actual "proof" recently took me a bit off guard. i'm actually a bit shook that first is still with the same girl to this day cuz it seems like most of the ppl who "knew" thought they had broken up already. Ppl seem to think neo and mint have broken up too but i don't think there's any solid evidence of that, is there?

Anyways, idk, as someone who's inevitably very realistic about stuff i knew it was to be expected that they would date ppl like anyone else who is young and attractive would. Gonna focus more on first cuz i'm more invested in him. Knowing what i know now i feel a bit discouraged when it comes to enjoying the ship and the fanservice, as to me it feels like all the big words first has been saying to khaotung for the last few months don't sound genuine to me --as in, those words are actually meant for someone else. Not that i actually believed he and kt were ever more than friends (although once in a while i might've questioned it), but... it would be better not to say it? idk. Fanservice can be really treacherous in cases like this. And when i know those words are NOT genuine, i can't enjoy anything. Bc, as i said, i can't really separate it like that. Personally i would rather if he would just stop saying things that sound too ambiguous and baity, but i know he's doing his job trying to sell the ship (and maybe even shut those gf rumors up, a theory of mine ok!) and a lot of fans do take his words as gospel anyways so maybe i'm just not supposed to be the target (at least not anymore). Hi anon! First of all, thank you for your message. I want to start by saying your feelings are 100% valid and you’re not alone. It’s completely okay to feel affected by fandom stuff especially when you feel like you've invested time and emotion into it. Fandoms are meant to be fun but that doesn’t mean they’re immune to disappointment especially when real-life elements are mixed into the fantasy you know.

Honestly I think a lot of people relate to what you’re saying more than they let on. I believe Tumblr is one of the few spaces where it's still “okay” to talk about these kind of things openly without being immediately teared apart. Twitter is... a different thing. I don’t support tagging the actors or “exposing” them, like exposing them for what exactly? Having a private life? Dating like normal people? That doesn’t sit right with me. But on the other end it’s also frustrating when the fandom acts like even acknowledging the possibility of something different is “hate.” It’s not. The last few weeks, and honestly, months have been exhausting for anyone who’s been paying attention. I’ve followed them since the Only Friends era, and I’ve seen some rumors here and there before but isn’t that like in every fandom? What’s different about FirstKhao is that their bond always felt very real. They’ve been friends long before being a CP and they never leaned into fanservice the way most others pairs do. They’re also both introverted, private, and the fandom always had this shared belief that they both have some kind of a queer vibe, whatever that means to each person. I’ve seen the thing about the supposed trip to Korea or Japan that included Neo, Mint, First, Khao, and the girls. Some of those pics are still on IG, others apparently were deleted. I don't know what makes people think they are still together or not together though? And I haven't seen anything official about Neo and Mint being broken up. I don’t know if all of that is “proof,” exactly. I’ve also seen the other things on twitter, the pictures, the theories, but I still think what counts as proof is subjective. Although it can definitely cause a shift in the way people are looking at things, and I understand that it shook you. Here’s where I stand: I don’t think it’s inherently wrong to want to know or try to piece things together. People spend years in these fandoms. They buy merch, attend events, follow every update and form emotional connections with their idols. Of course it matters to them. And the fact that these pictures are on public accounts does make a difference to me, if the accounts were private or clearly meant to be kept lowkey, it’d be another story. But crossing the line is harassing them, tagging them in invasive posts, or making hateful comments. I saw someone tag First under the girls tiktok post, and I still don’t know what they expected to achieve with that. That kind of behavior isn’t okay. As for the rumors, I’m a pretty logical person too, and I don’t believe in too many coincidences. But even now, I can’t say it’s 100% confirmed or fully proven. These rumors always exist in every fandom. What’s different now is how far and wide it spread. About the CP dynamic: I’m not from an asian country or too familiar with the culture either, but I’ve been in enough fandoms to have a picture of how the industry works. I don’t think any of them, especially CPs in the BL industry could go public with a relationship without consequences for their careers. Neo’s situation is a bit different since he was never part of a fixed pair. But with First and Khao, being a CP is part of the brand. And part of that is selling a fantasy of some kind of love or bond, which a lot of fans really do buy into. Sometimes want to buy into. And I don’t blame them at all.

A few weeks ago, the fandom was arguing about literally everything? Then one event happens and now suddenly half of Twitter is now convinced First and Khao have been secretly dating each other for years and were about to go public in that event. This is how fandoms work: people interpret things in wildly different ways, often based on their own hopes or fears or insecurities.

I want to say this directly to you: your emotions are valid. If it’s harder for you to enjoy the ship or the fanservice now, that’s okay. You’re not being petty you’re just being honest with yourself. You said it perfectly, fanservice can be treacherous. For some people it’s fun, for others it starts to feel tiring or fake once certain things come to light. And when it feels fake to you, it’s hard to look past that. I really get it. I also agree, there’s been a shift lately. First seems to be doing more fanservice since the THK era, while Khao seems to have pulled back a bit. During Only Friends, it felt more balanced to me. And while part of it might be strategy or management, part of it may just be who they are and where they’re at in life, and that's okay.

My suggestion is don’t feel bad if you need some space. Or if you want to focus on other things for now. Try rewatching your favorite scenes, focus on their friendship, look up their older interviews, those are really fun! Their bond, whatever shape it takes, still seems very real to me. And if you ever want to talk, my dms are open. Tumblr can actually be a really welcoming place, especially compared to Twitter, and I think you’d find supportive people here.

And I also want to say, you're not "not the target." You’re part of the fandom too. Even if you feel discouraged right now there’s still a place for you here, whether you're staying in delulu mode or stepping back for now.

i need to know more about tomo pls i love 'dog with separation anxiety' characters

Ok ok I gotta put this under a cut because hes. rotating inside my head always. Going to put a link to his whole little page i posted bc this gives you Some basic information as to his Vibes.

Tomo is a Corrie medic! He’s got a few different like. personas he puts on depending on context. I talk a lot about his Weird Little Unhingedness persona bc thats when he’s letting is all out without hesitation or shame, which is really fun, but he’s a brother first, then a medic, and then a pathetic little creature.

As a vod and a brother, he is very, very loyal and committed to his siblings. His core guiding motivation is to make things better for them, but because of how he thinks this tends to be an individual focus rather than a group focus; he’ll individually get everyone a blanket before pushing for a new project to get everyone blankets, etc. 

When he’s off duty and relaxed, he tends to be a friendly, nice guy. Will bend over backwards to help a vod, even one he doesn’t know, with minimal questions asked. Not a whole lot of respect for rules and authority; if you can’t indicate the practical reasons behind a standard or regulation, he will probably ignore it at his convenience. HOWEVER, he is also Definitely younger sibling coded and can be a bit of a shithead as a treat. Kind of a doormat and seems easy to bully but once he realizes he’s being teased or bullied he’ll go from the NOOOO!!! NOOO!!! younger sibling tears to I’m A Medic And I Can Tolerate And Shut Down So Much Bullshit on a dime. Likes people, likes to be around people in general, will worry and fret and scold if you’re being a bit reckless but also the biggest enabler in all of the med corps tbh. Believes in happiness and autonomy as a primary element of wellbeing and this drives a lot of that enabling; is the most likely corrie medic to go out of the way to let u keep a scar you want even if it makes his job fixing underlying structures more difficult.

He’s actually quite good at being professional when hes Being A Medic, and honestly can be a little ruthless, in terms of not hesitating to make calls (because that’s how you get people killed). His specialization is in orthopedic and reconstructive/plastic surgery, which in practice means he’s NOT out of medical much when on shift; if he’s called onto site, things are really bad. On a good day he has no emergency cases, but most of his emergencies are cases where there needs to be immediate and dramatic surgical intervention to prevent fatality. Amputations, skin grafts, major muscular trauma, broken bones; he sees a lot of really nasty shit, in his emergency capacity. In a non-emergency capacity, he still sees a lot of unpleasant and upsetting things, because he’s, yknow. reconstructing things and overseeing recovery from skeletal trauma, but it’s much much safer and less stressful. As a result of all this, he has a really strong stomach and a skewed sense of when gore, blood, or guts gets upsetting.

Also in his capacity as a medic, but off-regulation, Tomo provides a lot of suppourt to trans vode with gender-affirming care! He’ll do just about anything that’s not hazardous; he refers for tracheal shaves and bottom surgeries that require significant specialization or more advanced/specialized equipment than he has. But fillers, FFS, top surgery, horomone access? He’s gotchu.

Also; he knows he's cute. He knows people see him kind of as a pathetic little creature. He ABSOLUTELY weaponizes the shit out of this as a medic. he can cry on command because he learned the magical efficiency of just BURSTING into tears on someone avoiding the medbay. If you aren't guilted/made uncomfortable enough to comply he'll just get someone to drug you and haul you off lol

He’s a really affectionate, friendly, and easygoing guy overall, but the part of him that i talk about most often is his Little Freak setting. This is a manifestation of extreme seperation anxiety. He’s good at respecting verbal boundaries but is a Stage 5 Clinger. He will follow you into the bathroom if ur having a conversation and not notice until ur like excuse me that its weird. He’s really scared of loosing people, either to death or just to the vast distances of the galaxy, so he really really wants to be like. tangibly tied to people. This is where his cannibalism schtick comes from like he cannot imagine a closer intimacy than the physical substance of one’s self being intergrated into the other through consumption…. carry him with you forever and vice versa….. woah…..

@mamuzzy also pulled a GALAXY BRAIN take putting him w Mereel in that one art. Rotted my brain hard for them as a cringefail couple where their respective toxic traits slide off each other like water off a duck. I have a Lot of meta for that im not going to elaborate on too much beyond tomos tendancy towards clinginess being satisfied by mereel pinging him when he’s away, mereel being unbothered and indulgent of his weirdness, and tomo being game enough to help mereel that mereels habit of social engineering and manipulation to get what he wants doesnt have a chance to get toxic bc tomo is already willing give mereel whatever he wants with the ironclad exception of endangering his patients, which he is too stubborn and protective to be manipulated directly about anyway.

I decided that they met bc mereel needed to change his apperance for smth, hooked up w tomo (convenient emotionally vulnerable mark! yippee!) to gain access to medical supplies, was asking about a kind of filler (intended use for joint injuries but off-label use as a filler) to figure out if he can self-administer it and Tomo was immediately like oh i can administer it if you want to try! It’s easy to dissolve if you don’t like it! Mereel agreed, Tomo put in the temporary fillers, and they both walked away from the encounter satisfied and with each other’s contact information in their pocket.

It is very important to note that while Tomo IMMEDIATELY recognized Mereel was interested in the filler’s capacity to change facial structure and apperance, he did not realize Mereel wanted apperance-altering interventions for a mission until months later when someone pointed out he is a black ops specialist and got together with Tomo to use his skills n specializations.  He had fully been working on the assumption that Mereel had just been interested in gender exploration even after they had an established pattern of Tomo administering temporary cosmetic procedures for Mereel’s missions

i've never written for daredevil but i do enjoy matt's comics along with the role he plays in natasha's life as the moral center of her life whether they're together or not. I think he occupies a very different love interest role for her separate from clint/bucky
