#potential drabble incoming on my side blog

I had an interesting dream again last night!! (aahhh it's been awhile) But I'll just give y'all the rundown in bullet point form to save us all the time.

(Ngl ......I'm very tempted to turn this into a drabble.... I haven't written in awhile..)

• So basically, Ten was my boyfriend and we were hanging out together before my Korean class starts

• We're just chilling, and I'm sitting on his lap (pretty much laying on him cause our feet are on another chair) while sitting at some random desk near the back. (I usually sit right up front, so it felt..odd)

• I knocked the hell out just before class started (can you blame me though? playing with my hair, his soft voice, the quiet lull of rain outside..)

• He asks my prof to let me stay asleep bc I was getting sick and am really weak (my prof is an absolute sweetheart and she really likes me so she felt bad and let it slide this time)

• He would speak to her in full on Korean the entire time (bc he had studied abroad or smth) and she was just so impressed lmao (it's a lvl 1 Korean class so she's always in awe if you know a lot. it's so cute how excited she gets, really)

• He took notes and pictures of everything for me so that I wouldn't be behind

• Then carried me and my stuff off when class was over bc I was all loopy and developing a fever and everything

("Only you would be getting sick for your bday.. jeez your luck")

• Took me over to his dorm and took such great care of me tbh (meds, food, washcloth to the head, the whole shebang) before we took a nap together

• I just stayed over at his dorm and we slept in bc my class was cancelled (and then I had to borrow his clothes and everything)

• He really babied and smothered me until I felt better I'm ngl, (ofc he was his usual half teasing self too) but bc I was feeling so bad he looked almost sad, since my usual snarkiness was replaced with whines and stuff

• When next class came around I got hella teased next class by all my friends in class

(and a person or two got annoyingly jealous..🤦🏻‍♀️) bc 1- someone has a crush on me (real) and 2- someone thought Ten was cute and was sad he was taken (dream)

First Impression - T.H. Drabble

You never thought you’d have to do this, but here you are creating an online profile for this dating website your bestie had recommended. While you wanted to be annoyed at the idea, the guy your best friend had found was one of the nicest guys and made her positively sick with their adorableness. You had rolled your eyes at her insistence, but after you finished your profile you wandered through the myriad of potential dates available.

About thirty minutes, and 5 or so matches later, you were ready to call it a day on the dating site when you heard a ping of an incoming message. Curious, you opened the flashing button on the computer screen. There was no picture of the person but a polite greeting. Hello darling! Lovely to see you online right now! Might we chat?

You weighed your options: he could be a weirdo and you can log out quickly or… he could be like your best friend’s boyfriend. On the plus side, he seemed polite. You quickly messaged back. Hi! Sorry it took me a moment to respond, I was just on my way off the computer. How are you today?

A ping came back just as fast. Tired I’m afraid. I’ve been working very long hours lately, and not much time for myself. One of the few reasons I’m trying this. :)  How are you?

You thought about your answer for a moment. Suspicious. Adding my profile on here was at the suggestion of a friend. But things can’t always be that bad. There’s always tomorrow right?

He sent a smiley face before his next message. I feel honored you chose to talk to me then! I promise not to ruin your idea of online dating though. Ehehehe

You laughed out loud before responding back

Three months later, you were tapping your feet at a local coffee shop. You had finally agreed to meet Tom, your online chat buddy. Ever since his first message, it was clear he was one of the good guys everyone looked for. But he never sent you a picture of himself. His reasoning was simple, as an actor you may already have opinions of him and he wanted you to get to know him as a person before you met in person.

You couldn’t fault his reasoning at this point; once he asked for your number two days after you first spoke, the ease of conversation was frightening. Each time he called, or texted, you the smile on your face was hard to miss. Your best friend made you eat your original words and you were certain you were going to have more to tell her, if he showed up.

You looked around the coffee shop one last time before glancing at your Fitbit watch. Five minutes late and you were beginning to think he was standing you up. You heard a cough and looked over at… holy shit was your first thought, followed quickly by a ‘no way.’ “Ummm…”

“You look a lot different from your profile picture,” he teased just a bit as he sat across from you.

You barked out a laugh then blushed beet red. “If I had known my highlights would throw you off, I would have waited a week,” you couldn’t help teasing back. You heard his familiar laugh and felt the butterflies in your stomach rioting. If this is real pinch me.

Something hit your leg and you yelped. A little boy with floppy curls ran by, his frazzled mom behind him. “Sorry,” she half yelled as she chased after him.

The guy in front of you grinned. “Hi, I’m Tom. It’s nice to finally meet you in person y/n.”
