Champion of Remnant

Continuing the tradition of their Legion, each successor chapter of the Remnant Knights will send a single astartes who has shown not only exceptional skill but selflessness, valor, humility, all the characteristics of their primarch. Those sent go through grueling extremely difficult trials before only one is chosen to become a champion of Remnant. Given a helmet that resembles their primarch's, a powersword crafted in the shape of Crocea Mors, and a pauldron etched with a piece of their Oath. The champions of Remnant are tasked with being the vanguard of Remnant, stationed on Remnant to keep the peace, ready to at a moments notice to fight should invasion happen.

But they also aid the chaplaincy in finding new recruits and dealing with possible corruption

WIP weekend!

The bulk of the Battle Brothers infantry are getting done!

Some minor details to brush up such as powerswords, plasma and jump pack exhausts. I've also been moving away from my transparent acrylic bases to printed bases that are magnetized.

So, He-Man! Instead of a last name they just gave him the "of the House of Randor" thing, typical for Eternian royals--Randor and Keldor are both "of the House of Miro", for example, even though Keldor is a bastard (spoilers, I guess).

Notable here is that they're still referring to the Power Sword as the Power Sword, rather than the "Sword of He", one of the stupider MOTUC additions to the canon. The halves of the sword are a reference to the audio/print media's conceit that He-Man and Skeletor each had half of the Power Sword, and Castle Grayskull would only unlock to whomever united the pieces.

A weapon remarkably similar to "Powerstar" of the Filmation series Blackstar, which aired a year before they began developing He-Man. Like, 'one of the halves was literally called the Powersword' similar. (For once, I am not accusing Scott of plagiarism, as he was 3 years old).

MOTUC bios were (allegedly) an attempt to combine the disparate canons into a cohesive narrative. I don't think they hit the mark for "cohesive". Or "narrative". But it certainly referenced all continuities it was aware of, which varied by author.

In the 1983 minicomics, the Power Sword was said to be created by the Ancients, buuuut Scott (two typos? it was Scott) didn't pull this one out of his ass. The 1986 UK comic magazines had a story about the Swords of Power and Protection (and a surprise third sword, the Sword of Evil) being created by the Elders. It's kind of weird to describe that as channeling "the energy of the Elders", as they were a bunch of geriatric magicians and we had just established in the bio directly predating this one (the only other bio there was at this point) that the Sword of Power was infused with King Grayskull's powers, but perhaps I've given Scott too much credit and he just forgot what the Ancients were called.

The Overlord

The tyrannical warlock known only as The Overlord is the supreme ruler over the alien planet of Sagar.  He comes from a long line of despots who have lorded over Sagar and its denizens with the combined might of the Powersword and the Starsword.  

These two swords became disconnected and while Overlord retained the Powersword, the Starsword fell into the hands of the marooned human astronaut named John Blackstar.  Using the powers of the Starsword, Blackstar helped to lead a rebellion to topple Overlord’s oppressive regime.  

The Overlord meanwhile continues to seek out the Starsword so to regain his full power and put down the rebellion once and for all.  He has sent his many minions after Blackstar and has battled the hero himself, but has thus far been unable to achieve his goals.  

Actor Alan Oppenheimer provided the voice of The Overlord, with the villain first appearing in the debut episode of Blackstar, airing on September 12th, 1981.

the fun thing about jumping from project to project like im playing a game of The Floor Is Lava is that i can for the life of me remember the smaller details. like, yeah, i know i was gonna build a cqc squad of guardswomen with bayonets and knives and axes, but what in the hell was i going to give the sergeant???? was it a chainsword? kitbash a powersword or some other weapon? a las or bolt pistol? kitbash an inferno pistol or hand flamer? fucked if i kno 😭

Brother Keleth of the 6th's 3rd Tactical. A seasoned Astartes, he used to be known for mixing other things into his promethium to turn the flames different colours. He was eventually punished by Captain Drakgaard for this after accidentally causing an explosion during a mission. Though Captain Drakgaard is long gone, Keleth is older and wiser now, and no longer tampers with flamer fuel. Brother Bai'Keti's erratic powersword worries him, but the younger Astartes never listens to Keleth's advice.

Off the battlefield, he enjoys spending time with his family. He dotes on his great-grandniblings and often makes them toys. He also has several apprentices that he spoils a little too much. His greatest sadness is that none of his forgechildren have ever ascended, but he has high hopes for the current oldest one.

Cassandra looked at his weapon amd countered. "I much prefer my eviscerator. But whatever weapon we choose, the Emperor's work shall be done." She looked to the darker left corridor. "I shall lead the way" and the Sister Repentia stepped off, her booted feet thunking on the stony floor. She weild the powersword one handed. Testing its stroke as the power field hummed softly before she sheathes it to her belt at her hip with a flair

"Excuse me a second...!" A strange looking human dressed in armor that could have easily labeled him as a guardsman, grabbed one of the Adeptus Sororitas' blades from its scabbard. Only to dissappear into the shimmering portal he'd been flung from.

Sister Cassandra is pulled along into the portal with him. Clad only in a pair of shiny black thigh-high platform boots, threadbare loin cloth, leather chest harness exposing her breasts with parchment listing her sins wrapped around to cover her nipples.

Multiple powersuit connector ports line her upper arms, shoulders, around her breasts, lower torso, upper thighs as well as down her spine.

A large pendant bearing the red and gold iconography of the inquisition's triple crossed 'I' and skull. Worn on a choker necklace around her neck. Along with the huge eviscerator slung on her back completes her look as a sister repentia.

Landing with a crouch, the sudden warp portal travel made her disoriented. Doubling over to heave her guts out, her platinum shoulder length hair almost got caught in the vomitus.

Wiping her mouth with the back of her half-fingered gloves. "By the throne, where am I?"
