Hi! I had a question about "house Talis colors" i see alot of people talking about red, white, and gold. But if that are their house colors why does Ximena not wear any of that? Is there something that explicitly states those are house colors? Or has fandom just assumed those are house colors because Jayce wears them?

We predominantly see the talis symbol and jayce displayed in strokes of red. Even in his academy uniform, while viktor wears a white tie jayce wears a Red one. Gold & White are not really exclusive to jayce in any way - They're moreso *Piltover* colors, clean and shiny. They come attached to the setting. So yes, people did see the red banners and epaulets and went 'oh, those are family colors!' but in their defense jayce has been wearing red & gold as his mainline classic outfit since 2012... and it makes sense, imo.

In League piltover was predominantly /Gold./ In Arcane, piltover is painted in a lot of blue hues to offset all the gold detail they're using (and in s2 the kiramman-medarda hostile occupation crest is Blue & Gold (with a noxian diamond center), different from the greenish hue we see in s1) What ximena wears seems to be falling in line with the Kirammans in specific, see how she's sitting between the patron of the family and one of their hired hands sporting the crest in the center of his vestment. I think this matches with the idea that she was not part of the Talis house by birth and doesn't feel comfortable claiming the robes, though her clothes have little hammer details; It also matches the information we have of jayce being highly dependant on the kiramman patronage to continue working. It's not a stretch to imagine his whole family depended on the support of a larger, ruling merchant clan to operate after his father's death (if not before), and we see jayce paying for that investment his entire life.

But! Things are also not so clear cut. Ximena's pre-piltover(?) attire in jayce's childhood flashbacks is already blue, so its not exclusively a Piltover Symbol thing. It could be that she already wore it as her own.

Colors are malleable and they depend on context, specially on arcane. Blue is for Hextech, blue is for Jinx and the revolution, blue is for enforcer-backed uberfascism and Caitlyn's villain cape. Blue was always Viktor's original dominant color in game and in his classic machine herald model - a deep blue cloak with a slice of red sewn on the inside.

Red is for the Talis crest and heat of the forges, red is for Vi's hair and undercover jacket, red is for Silco's kingpin clothes to stand out in the dark, red is for Noxus and their bloodletting invasions, red is for Vander's vision turned dark with ire and for Warwick's rampaging, red is for the Black Rose.

Green is for the 'corrupted' swatches of Zaun covered in smog but it is also for the Firelights, and Ekko, and the hopeful glimmering tree they orbit around. Green is also Singed's abominations and his many crimes against nature. Green is the polluted river.

(Yellow is for excesses of gold. Yellow is for the flowers that adorn viktor's commune. everything is multifaceted.)

So in 2012 Markiplier uploaded a short video called “Don’t blink” in which he stares ominously at the camera without speaking as a distorted version of his face appears in the background. A month later he posted a similar video called “Don’t move.” Fans decided to create a character based on these videos called “Darkiplier” as in “Dark Markiplier” and came up with lots of headcanons and designs and stuff for this non-existent character, that is, until 2017 when A Date With Markiplier made him canon and Who Killed Markiplier gave him a backstory.

hair: doesn’t care much—he loves messy. bedhead, haphazard curls, grown-out roots, messy buns… tate doesn’t really care (influenced by his taste for grunge). dyed? hot. buzzed? hot. limp? still hot.

overall: he’s the kind of guy who falls in love with who you are, regardless of what you wear. still, if you made him pick, he leans toward aesthetics that signal alienation or emotional volatility in pretty packaging. the more it clashes with his mom’s standards, the better. he won’t complain no matter what you wear, but if you walk into his room in a tube top and a skirt? he’s done for.

new americana / farmgirl: denim overalls, sun-faded cotton shirts, gingham dresses, work boots. imagine the silhouette of a woman who can climb into the back of a truck and carry feed, then braid her hair for church. he likes women who look self-reliant in a domestic context.

cottagecore : gingham, eyelet, high collars, soft florals, prairie dresses. kind if unintentionally “ethereal,”

housewife practical: tucked-in blouses, calf-length skirts, simple cardigans, aprons. i don’t wanna sound sexist bc it’s not my intention BUT kit walker is so #husband and literally perfect in every way (maybe minus the smoking) so yeah.

dark academia: high-neck blouses, long skirts, muted colours. tweed, oxford shoes, silk scarves. you’d go on study dates at the library where you’d actually study.

n u goth: fishnets, heavy boots, black lipstick. makes him nervous, but in a good way.

tattoos / piercings: so we all know kyle canonically hates tattoos on himself but genuinely doesn’t care what you do with your body.

makeup: he prefers prefers minimal. fresh skin, clear gloss, clean lashes. he likes to see your face clearly, and he kisses your cheeks a lot, so heavy product annoys him.

hair: omg he loves your hair. long, short, natural, dyed—he’s obsessed with touching it. would happily learn to braid it, brush it after showers, or hold it while you cry.

overall: first of all, kyle genuinely doesn’t care what you wear. he’s less about aesthetic philosophy and more about whether you’re confident in it. if you’re happy in it, he’s into it. but when pressed, he leans toward styles that feel playful, soft, or tactile.

overall. james is obsessed with aesthetic control. he eroticizes elegance & self-composure. the more deliberately you present yourself, the more violently he desires you.

Marc Marquez's Greatest Hits (pre-2024)

When I first got into MotoGP and became a Marc Marquez fan, I had so wished it was easier to find races. There are so many to choose from and it was a bit daunting on where to start. I know not everyone is as neurotic as me and doesn't have the time/money to spend hours upon hours on Video Pass.

So, as more and more of us get into MotoGP/Marc Marquez I wanted to consolidate some of his greatest races (imo), and where you can watch them.

Most of his best races are actually available on YouTube for free via the MotoGP channel. I've included direct links below, but just FYI there are actually a ton of great races on MotoGPs youtube page, 10 out of 10 would recommend checking it out.

Year: 2012 Location: Valencia Why It's Good: My personal favorite race, I watch it way too often. The greatest comeback of all time, starts last and makes it through the field by the last few laps. Absolute crazy guy, but this was just the start of it all. Available On: YouTube

Notes on ep.1 Angler Fish

Pre-statement: -Jon complains about Gertrude's lack of organisation and digitisation -Says he is met with "significant audio distortions" when he attempts to record digitally

Statement: -Takes place in March 2010 (Watts says it took place a few years before giving a statement, but John Fellows goes missing in March 2010 and it seems that was at the same time as Nathan Watts' encounter -At a party in Edinburgh College, to celebrate his friend, Michael MacAulay being accepted to do a masters in earth sciences. -Encounter occurs while he's walking home, drunk. The streets are steep so he takes a fall, and rolls a cigarette to calm himself -Asked by figure in alley "Can I have a cigarette" Described as having no intonation -Watts rolls another, but refuses to go into the alley, instead waiting for the figure to come out and get it -Figure described as swaying, having mouth closed while speaking, and having their feet off of the floor, as though held up in the air instead of standing -Watts takes out phone to use flashlight to get a better look -The figure "Folded at the waist and vanished back into the darkness as though a string had gone taught and pulled it back into the alley" -Search in morning, found nothing save for a sole Marlboro Red cigarette. -Saw that John Fellows went missing. In picture on missing poster, pack of Marlboro Red sticking out of pocket.

Post statement: -Missing people from that area were: Jessica McEwan (nov 2005), Sarah Baldwin (aug 2006), Daniel Rawlings (dec 2006), Ashly Dobson (May 2008), Megan Shaw (June 2008) -Baldwin and Shaw are both confirmed as smokers -Dobson sent a picture to a sister called Siobhan with caption "Check out this drunk creeper lol" (which Jon pronounced as EL O EL ofc) and appeared blank, until contrast increased, where a long, thin hand was visible, and appeared to be beckoning.

My thoughts: -So this is the first one of these posts I've ever done :D I can't really link other posts rn cuz there aren't any, but I will as appropriate as I make more. I'm probably gonna make a list of all characters, where any that are reoccurring will get their own page -I'm still only on my second relisten, so I've defiantly missed things, and will probably continue to do so -I'm excluding things I don't think are relevant, but I'm not always the best as judging what is and isn't relevent

user lowdotca you are the goat for this. I had to think long and hard. Canonically, Bill doesn’t really listen to music, but see, that simply won’t fly. Lou was in a band and has a crazy huge cd collection. Bill’s gonna have to know a song or two. So, simply put, these are the Big Ones that immediately make him think of her when he hears them; “Their Songs” as labeled whether they make each other happy or sad

GOOD CONNOTATIONS:

Dare I say that The Bends is one of her favorite albums, next to Nirvana’s Bleach, STP’s Core, and Pearl Jam’s Ten. Bill has listened to it in full several times, and in loser white guy fashion, falls in love.

Lou learns this on guitar and sings this for him. He thinks she sounds fucking stupid. She does the voice and all. He is all teeth; it’s a good memory.

She gets him on some Alice In Chains. He knows this one word for word but don’t expect him to sing. Whole album, really, he knows.

This one is funny; Max put Lou on, they’d play it in the garage and everything. Lou then put Bill on, and he did not like it. At first.

Pete and Max have made out to this entire album.

Eventually, so did Lou and Bill.

BAD CONNOTATIONS:

This, specifically, is in reference to the epilogue. Bill enjoys associating music to himself in a sorry self righteous kind of way. He cries listening to this a lot. And I quote from the song,

Lou loved this album. If they were driving at night, she’d pop the CD in the player and listen to it. This was always one Bill enjoyed quietly. Pre Lo, There Shall Be Epilogue! And post This Fan, This Monster, this was second only to Fake Plastic Trees on his songs to cry to list

There were a few times when Lou would play Jeff Buckley for Bill. It wasn’t often, because Grace made her sad, but he had heard enough to know what songs spoke to him. This was one of them. To quote,
