Are you interested in Prodigy Umbra but not sure how to get caught up or get involved? Then this is the post for you!

Prodigy Umbra is a tumblr roleplay community which follows a variety of prodigy wizards of different backgrounds, including canon characters like The Puppet Master and Winston Von Loot, previously canon characters like Cameron The Copycat, and many completely original characters!

There are no rules for joining, other than following common rp etiquette- meaning, no breaking the basic laws of the universe without explanation, no killing/injuring others characters without permission, and always being as respectful of others' plotlines and characters as you are of your own!

The Puppet Master is the center of the main plot of Prodigy Umbra, having escaped from his prison in the basement. He is currently trying to raise a shadow dragon in order to regain his power, but there are a lot of wizards looking to get in his way- or, in some cases, help him out!

Libel is a wanted criminal, and wants to help The Puppet Master

Val is a student of the academy, and wants to take down The Puppet Master after the events of the crystal caverns.

Malachite is a teacher at the academy, he has unknown motives, but seems interested in researching The Puppet Master.

Kepler is a student of the academy, who due to a shadow based disease called the Violet, is interested in learning about shadow magic from The Puppet Master.

Cameron is a student at the academy, and wants to take down The Puppet Master after shadows took over Tower Town.

Sam is a self taught student, and is pen pals with a mysterious "Erebus," who is known by Kepler to be The Puppet Master.

CWS was a student at the academy and the head of the archives, but has run away in their quest to prove themself to the academy staff by defeating The Puppet Master.

Winston was previously a thief controlled by shadow magic, but has since been freed by Val and joined the academy with her.

Where did the time go? Anyways bit of history, I started when my teacher told us about the game and made our accounts. I still use that one to this day, and I’ve seen the game change itself… 3 times huh. What a wild journey

asking about your prison yaoi

Okay so I briefly mentioned him earlier but I made a new guy, his name is Novus Umbra, he's a transmasculine goth dude who was raised by lycanroc. His adopted sibling is his lead pokemon on his team, a midnight Lycanroc of yet undecided name

Anyway, while Novus is smart as hell, he has absolutely no academic prowess as a result of having been raised by pokemon. He can barely read and doesn't like to, and his handwriting is slow, shaky, messy, and childlike. Partially as a result, he feels his world before he thinks about it, and is a very spirited and emotional man.

On the other hand there's Cyrus, former galactic boss, prodigy and ultimate nihilist. In my little world, Cyrus was lost in the distortion world while Giratina essentially toyed with him, torturing the poor thing for an amount of time that no one truly knows. The distortion world's time is disconnected from that of the prime world, and both perception of and actual passing of time are changing constantly. Cyrus no longer knows how old he is, though it can't be too much more than a few years if he aged at all.

Anyway, upon being returned to the Prime World after Giratina got bored, Cyrus is taken into custody and placed into a rehabilitative 'prison' (I call it a prison but it's little more than a vague aesthetic and is more akin functionally to the criminal rehabilitation in Norway). It's there that Cyrus meets Novus (haven't decided what he's in for), and it's really kind of a slow burn between these two. Cyrus is struggling greatly with this fresh trauma, and Novus is essentially acting like a curious dog toward this cold, calculating man. They're around the same age, give or take some years from Cyrus, and they couldn't be more different. But despite this difference, Novus makes it his goddamn mission to fix Cyrus. At first Cyrus sees Novus as little more than a nuisance, but slowly grows to appreciate him, eventually reaching a point where he listens to Novus tell stories (though he pretends not to care) and even reads to Novus (at Novus's request)

It's still kinda a work in progress, but ofc they eventually get released back into the world and they're very very gay, and while Cyrus is still somewhat repressed, his new bf definitely helps him see the purpose in human spirit and emotion <3

Personality: On the surface, she seems like a reasonable, respectful, well-educated, compassionate, sweet, nasty, well-intentioned, and pleasant woman when people get to know her better she reveals herself to be condescending, repugnant, ill-formed, cruel, nasty, self-righteous, and arrogant. She truly thinks she knows what is better for the numbra than them and really believes that them not being able to breed will help the future. She also has this view other people with mutant traits as well. Despite saying she is also doing this for the future of children, she really can't stand being around them and often treats them as pests but still think she knows better than parents having them. She also looks down on Penumbra since their college days due to being science prodigies and was always jealous of her brilliance. She would resent her even more for creating the numbra problem and even think she deserves being called a villain for what she has done. Due to being college educated and having a degree in genetics, she believes herself to smarter than everyone and talks over others. Background: An Atreno councilwoman she is notorious for her "Stop Mutant Breeding" Act campaign. She is seen as a nemesis of the umbra for her stance that people like them should be banned from breeding so they don't spread the numbra disorder to future offspring. She is also an old college rival of Penumbra and has butt heads with her in the past due to her role in creating the numbras and their old rivalry. She is also set to oppose her even if she's trying to fix her mistakes.

* She is inspired by Dolores Jane Umbridge and many disability advances that have abelistic stances.

* She was supportive of Sunblast and him fighting against Penumbra due believing her solutions made everything worse.

* After the disaster that happened with Penumbra's invention, she went into politics after studying the numbra disease and was determined to thwart it.

* She would have become a full time geneticist if Penumbra's experiment didn't go haywire.

* She is a fan of Miss Heed and still believed she was innocent, especially when the cover up came to excuse her of her crimes.

* She campaign against other mutants breeding like Nuclear zombies like Coyote and would find out that Green Rod had a child that was a nuclear zombie and say that she should have been born.

* When she learned that Sunblast sided with Penumbra she turned against him for believing her propaganda.

She often uses biases genetics facts to back up her campaigns.

Deciding to become the type of person they would have wanted to save them when they were in their worst space in the depths and in the darks, they took up a sword and took to the road and took to protecting any and all people they could they would become a symbol, even if that symbol could never be happy, it could still inspire, and then somehow she became happy when she found a purpose and love

Where she least expected it,now a mother and healing from the scars of her past with the love of her life by her side, Noel has something she never thought she could have ever again, and to think this all happened after getting storm marked by accident.
