HELLO, I'M GOING TO RAMBLE A LITTLE GJXVKKC(the little drawing Is just there for more angst reasons, shh) Ngl sometimes I think about how the curse in Wonderland must have affected many AND THAT MAKES ME THINK ABOUT PUDDING, HATTER AND MADDIE

OK, so, From the perspective of the three of them, it starts the same:

They were peaceful, living happily... until suddenly, a catastrophe begins. The Evil Queen curses Wonderland, and everyone tries to escape to Ever After, the place considered the safest at the moment!

That's where the differences begin. Pudding stayed behind to look for Alistair and Bunny (two of Maddie's friends, whom she possibly watched grow up with her daughter), promising Hatter that she would return with them and that they would be okay.

Hatter took Maddie and two of her friends, Lizzie and Kitty, assuring them that everything will be okay, that Pudding will return to the rest of her friends (or so he hopes). But it doesn't end like that. They manage to escape, but the rest are left behind, being locked in Wonderland by Baba Yaga and the Brothers Grimm, along with the rest of Wonderland's habitants... wich Is already A LOT

Everyone was separated from their loved ones and their home, Wonderland being considered a dangerous place and not knowing if they were safe there :(

Hatter is now alone with his daughter, taking care of her and of course her two friends. Luckily, he has the help of the White Queen, but... his beloved wife is not there. Hoping she's safe, he tries to stay positive so the poor girls stay calm and have alteast fun after what happend!!

Pudding, on the other hand, is terrified and that same fear drives her to take care of Alistair and Bunny more than ever with the White rabbit, she has fear for the future, She misses her husband, misses her beloved daughter, and wonders all the time if they're okayy

AND THEN WE HAVE MADDIE!!

In a place where she feels she doesn't quite fit in, not understanding the rules but atleast her friends are there to undertand her!

She can see her father, who is trying to stay positive for her and the other's and admires hil even more but the truth Is, she misses her friends, her home and her mom 💔

Something which I think is kind of under-discussed regarding the Princess is how lonely she is, esp in contrast to you (the player). From the start of the game, you're never alone. You've got the Narrator - despite how questionable his company is - and the Voice of the Hero, then slowly all of your other voices. She doesn't have that. We see in Princess and the Dragon, every time a new loop starts she's completely alone with only the thought that this is what she deserves. You're the only thing she has.

Shifty asks "Why wouldn't I be kind to you? You're the only thing I know which isn't me." And we see in the game - with some exceptions, like the Witch - the Princess' goal come chapter 2 is always to have your company. Sometimes it's to subjugate you, like the Tower, and sometimes it's for help escaping, but she's almost always seeking your companionship in some way.

But you've got your voices, and the Narrator. You never really needed her, did you? I'm thinking about PATD again, where you can spend the whole chapter bonding with her only to immediately turn on her the second you get your body back ("Good to be back, boys"). In the final cabin at the end of the game, the Heart Princess can mention the whole conflict boils down to whether Shifty (and by extension, the Princess herself) "should" get to exist. If you kill the Heart Princess, you've still got your voices. There's no ending where she lives on alone. I don't think she'd even WANT an ending like that.

She just makes me very sad. You're the only thing she knows, and in some routes you're just. Relentlessly cruel to her.

consistent characterization of pb is that if youre conventionally cute she will like you and pull you out of danger but if youre kinda offputting or ugly she will let bad things happen to you in front of her and she might even openly blame you for them

Behold, a couple of Ric Rac doodles. He's my contribution for a PitayaFire fankid. I suck at drawing kids, so he's already an adult lol. I will, at some point, draw him as a kid though. But I'll give some here. - Ric Rac was born with albinism. - While they still lived with Pitaya and Fire Spirit, Ric Rac decided to start a night garden. He struggled to keep it alive due to the heat of Drgaon's Valley. Night phlox remains his personal favorite. - Despite being fire based, his hair flows as if it were always underwater. - Ric Ric wants to own fish someday, he finds aquariums very fascinating. - When they were 18, they joined The Pudding Cup Circus. -

pudding fannart is always funny to me because shes Always drawn with her little seal friend as being alive even though it's a plushie but we know from Arknights canon that normal animals dont really exist in the conventional sense aside from being literal land gods ala emperor or siege's lions or even phantoms christine and this then begs the question of "wait if normal animals arent real then how can she even have the plush" which of course leads to only one possible conclusion
