Zoke Week 2024 Day 4: Long-Distance Phone Calls

After Season 4 ended, Mike and Zoey learn that they both live in two different cities but are only about half an hour away from one another.

Even so, Mike and Zoey gave each other their phone numbers, wanting to catch up with one another and how they’re doing after the season ended.

Once or twice a week, Mike and Zoey would either call each other via phone or even video chat with each other, chatting for hours and hours until it’s night time.

They always discuss how their week has been lately, how they’re both doing in school since they attend different high schools.

Though Zoey asks Mike how his alters have been treating him ever since he managed to regain control over them. Mike, being honest, tells Zoey that he is tolerating them a lot better since the show ended… though he kept shouting at Vito about not wanting to be with Anne Maria and that Zoey is perfect for him, which Zoey laughs at but also is flattered Mike thinks of her like that.

Every time they end their video chat with each other, Mike and Zoedy tend to either place a hand on screen, feeling like they’re holding hands together or share an on-screen kiss together, which always makes them blush, since they always wanted to share an actual kiss together before the show ended.

Mike has met Zoey’s pet hamster, Miss Puffycheeks, many times during their video chats and even waves at her… even though she doesn’t pay much attention to the MPD teen.

They also catch up with their fellow TDROTI pals from time to time. Like Brick, Dawn, Sam, Dakota and especially Cameron.

Even though they love their video chats, they sometimes wish they can meet face to face again, holding each other together, wanting to see his/her boyfriend/girlfriend in person.

So a week before their spring break, Mike told Zoey that he can’t video chat with her next week, saying he and his family are going on vacation for spring break. Zoey, even though looking a bit sadden, understood and told Mike to have a fun spring break with his family.

However, during their spring break, Zoey and her family got an unexpected visit from a certain someone as Zoey opened the front door… and saw Mike standing in front of her. Zoey gasped in total shock before happily embracing Mike tightly, so happy to see her boyfriend again in a while.

Mike chuckled and hugged her back… before he did the one thing they’ve both wanted to do since the show ended… share an actual kiss together. It was short and sweet… but it felt like heaven to them both.

Headcanon: Mike owns a bunch of snakes because Manitoba studies them and Mal thinks they're cool. At one point they tried to eat Miss Puffycheeks (Zoey's hamster) but luckily they failed. Mike and Zoey don't want to pressure each other into getting rid of their pets so now they just personally try their best to ensure that their pets are never in the same room.
