Start Screen Design:

1.Background Design and Text Blocks: For the background of this screen, I wanted to use something that represented adventure. For this reason, I found an old world map and stuck this in the canvas panel of my Start Screen UI. The next thing I added was an Indiana Jones style text I downloaded from Dafont.com. With this I used text blocks. Two of them took up the title and the other had Press Start. I was happy with how this design. One thing I would have improved if possible was the clarity of the font. I tried using bright colours so that it would appear a lot clearer.

2.Text Animations: The next thing I focused on was animating the text. This was just to make the screen look appealing. The first one I did was the top text. For this I wanted the The Illusion text to slide in from and angle and then Pulse. To do this, I moved the text to a position off the screen and added a keyframe at 0 seconds. I then set a key frame at 1 second and put the text back in it's original position. To then add a pulse I created a whole other animation where between 1 second and 1.25, I enlarged the text and then shrunk it back at 1.5 therefore creating a pulse. I did the same pulse animation for the Stone text as well.

3.Code: The Next process I had to do was decide when each animation would play. To do this I would add three play animations with two delays in-between each one. I then added a variable for each animation and placed them in the order that I wanted which was the Scroll Text, Pulse1 and then Pulse2. Another thing I had to do was set a button to press in order to start the game. I set this as space bar just because It was a simple key.

4.New Level & Outcome: In order to get this start Screen to work properly, I needed to make a whole new Map in the Project. Once I'd done this I was able to go into the Level Blueprint on the blueprint options tab and put in the code below. Once this was completed, I tested it out in gameplay and was fairly happy with how it turned out. If I was to improve the screen, I would focus on the detail of the font and maybe improve the animations of the text slightly so they play through a lot smoother and maybe even loop.

Finally got around to beating Pokemon Reborn, no shame in admitting that Anna's back to back to back Glitch Field bullshit fest was my breaking point and I turned off the noitems code for it. You wanna cheat with a garbage field and PULSE2 EVs, I'll feel no regret spamming 10 Max Revives and 10 Full Restores. The game is very easy with items.

Arrives in Reborn City,is greeted by Julia who asks if he is competing in the League.Ollie is confused and says that he is uncertain (which is a 'no'),Julia is saddened but gives him directions to Grand Hall.

Ollie runs across a woman who gives him a potion (he also finds a red shard on the ground nearby),Victoria introduces herself and takes him inside the building (events go as usual)

Ame offers Ollie a starter but he refuses stating that he already has a pokemon (that being Porygon),Ame insists that he takes one anyways and he reluctantly gives in (he picks Rowlet)

Cain and Victoria are somewhat difficult but they both go down in the end (Ollie refuses to use Rowlet even though Porygon's fighting abilities are unknown for the most part)

Ollie avoids the bridge trainers not wanting to attract any attention to himself and decides to go off to Peridot Ward instead,he meets Corey who is tending to the people who were injured in the trainwreck and gives the man his potion (Corey's opinion of Ollie is a bit better)

There's a child with a sick Skitty and his grandma asks Ollie if he has an oran berry (Ollie does not but decides to look around anyways since the Skitty reminded him of his neighbor's Meowth back in Kanto),Porygon finds one and it's given to the Skitty,the kid wants Ollie to have the Skitty and Ollie accepts not knowing how to feel about it (he feels fuzzy inside but the Skitty is clearly not well enough to fight yet so it's still Porygon solo mode)

North Peridot Ward makes Ollie feel uneasy with the sheer amount of factory buildings there are and how run down the area looks in general so he makes his way to Blacksteam wanting to check out what hellish place that is but runs across Fern laying into a hooded man,Ollie intervenes thinking that Fern is a child and cannot handle himself

The hooded man escapes and Fern yells at Ollie saying that was a Meteor Grunt (Ollie has no clue what 'Meteor' is) and challenges Ollie to a battle (Fern can CLEARLY hold his own but still gets swept by Porygon),Fern tells Ollie that if he wants to redeem himself to meet him at Mosswater which he immediately does feeling that something is up (Julia explodes in along with a woman named Florinia who appears to be Fern's older sister)

The group separates,Ace is met (much to Ollie's annoyance they delete a fuckload of files),Ollie and Fern fight through the grunts but Ollie tells Fern to stand guard for a bit while he manages to upload what little files are left in Meteor's Mosswater database,Fern is suspicious of Ollie and says that he's too much like 'Flobot',Ollie doesn't know weather to take it as a insult or compliment

F2 is accessed,Florinia wants to hack into their defenses whereas Julia wants to blow it up,Fern suggests Ollie goes and helps Florinia since he apparently already knows Meteor's system in and out and Ollie does (Florinia is also suspicious of him but doesn't say anything)

Aster and Eclipse are fought,Julia blows shit up,they all go outside where Florinia gives Ollie the field effects app with all of them already listed since he is not from Reborn City,Julia drags him along yelling about how super strong he is and that he should totally challenge her

Ollie feels oddly intimidated,this is the first time that he has challenged a gym leader before and it's giving him the same feeling as that one time his boss called him to her office back when he was still just an intern,the fight goes surprisingly well with of course only Porygon being used

Julia congratulates him and gives him a badge and the tm for charge beam but Ollie feels his blood run cold when she says that he is now officially registered as a league challenger for the global database (not good for someone who is on the run) and he runs out of the building immediately after Julia falls asleep

I want to pick up monocats reborn again but also I uh don’t because I’m starting to value my time. And like I’m like 48% sure the run will run into a complete and total wall at some point because of the specific stipulations I have for comedy. Like 0iv/0ev and pulse2 is kinda absurdly funny to me but like at some point it’s just going to not work out. Like. What do I do with Solaris’s garchomp. Wait nvm I don’t have a species clause so I could deal with that p easily with intimidate swaps reflect and cosmic power… but like. Okay what about glass gauntlet. There’s no fucking way that’s doable. I mean. I have some ideas but

I'm feeling a little disappointed honestly. Turns out, a monoice run of Pokemon Reborn is... easy? I still don't get why, since it's still easier than my other playthrough, but... yeah.

Aurora Veil is busted.

Then anything it can't hold off gets dealt with via Destiny Bond.

I hope that once Pulse2s start showing up, it will actually become challenging.
