Also, I do know I said I would only post Wednesdays and Saturdays, however, These first few days will be a madhouse of daily posts as I try to get into the rhythm of things, and to get stuff on my blog. 

That being said, let’s start this off with a bang and get posting!

I get the whole “lacking empathy doesn’t make you a bad person as long as you show compassion to others” thing, but I don’t completely agree.

You don’t need to show compassion to others all the time in order to be a good person. I understand how hard it is for someone who lacks empathy to care about someone enough to be compassionate towards them, especially when you just don’t give a fuck.

I think people have this idea that you need to be kind and friendly and care about others all the time. Thats not something some people, especially with ASPD, can achieve all the time.

Sometimes the most you can do is just stop yourself from being argumentative asshole and thats fine. Whatever your coping mechanisms are to limit the damage is fine. You don’t need to extend compassion to people if you can’t. You’re not a bad person for being unable to do so.

If you shit on someone for having low/no empathy and being callous/insensitive about things, but then turn around and romanticize and glamorize these traits in fictional serial killers, I hope you disrespectfully stub your toe.

You can’t sit here and shame mentally ill people (NPD, ASPD, etc) for the same things you love to see in these characters. Not only are you making light of debilitating behavioural issues, but you’re contributing to heavy mental health stigma. Stop writing these traits in characters in a good/romantic light if you’re going to treat people who actually suffer with them like they’re a monster.

Brian is a military geek and a fucking nerd for cryptology. Like this mf knows morse code by heart and is the most cryptic fucker ever when it comes to leaving random ass codes around. He seems like one of those guys who’d get bored and make a huge internet goose chase for people to solve codes and whatnot

Another thing is that people tend to accept the label of ASPD, but not the behaviour.

Do you fear being called ableist? Do you find it easier to accept a word rather than the person?

I understand completely that an antisocial person isn’t easy to swallow. We can be very harsh, blunt, mean, uncaring, yada yada, but I can assure you that we’d much prefer you just say you don’t like pwASPD rather than pretending you accept it but turn around and hate on people who exhibit antisocial behaviour.

And I’m talking about people who are in and out of treatment. Don’t exclude people who aren’t being treated from your ASPD positivity. Even if you aren’t on the road to recovery, you deserve support.

People who don’t care about others. People who don’t care about others suffering. People who only look out for themselves. People who have different morals and opinions. People who don’t care about political issues because it doesn’t effect them. People who are argumentative. People who have a bad temper. People who are brutally honest. People who view relationships as transactional. People who view the world as a warzone.

If you’re going to accept people with ASPD, accept people with ASPD. Don’t hide behind this faux layer of positivity when you immediately make fun of, ostracize and hate on people who actually show with these behavioural issues.

Man can yall stop shitting on realistic Creepypasta writers. If you’re going to write a realistic serial killer then obviously they’re going to be abusive/shitty human beings. Do you think Jeffery Dahmer was a nice guy? Ted Bundy?

The whole purpose of writing realism for the Pastas is getting into the morbidity of human nature. The nitty gritty and the criminology of these characters. Its all about embracing the dark aspects of criminals and killers in the real world.

Of course there is an issue when they start glamorizing or romanticizing it, but don’t shit on all realism writers for those annoying few. And also stop shitting on us for writing them with mental illness. Obviously not everyone with PDs or other disorders are toxic, abusive, or criminals, and obviously having a disorder doesn’t make you a bad person. But realistically, criminals and killers predominantly do have mental disorders so it only makes sense for someone to psychopathologize the characters right? (This is coming from someone with a heavily stigmatized disorder)

Also Im adding on that its OK to enjoy a wholesome goofy ass version of Creepypasta. I still hold that whole 2010 Slender Mansion stuff in my heart. But the fun Creepypasta and the fucked up Creepypasta worlds are allowed to coexist. People are allowed to make headcanons and fanfics of both the silly and the morbid side of it. Thats what makes the fandom so special is how much its up for interpretation and how different people can go with it.

If someone wants to write a literal serial killer being a mentally fucked piece of shit (cuz in reality, serial killers are in fact horrible people), then let them? Why do we need to go around shitting on people who enjoy the same things as you? If they’re happy, let them be happy.
