I've recently started watching Psych and I've come up with my own oc/self-insert because I'm desperate for fics lol. So here is a basic rundown of her relationships with the main group:

Friends with Gus and Shawn (obviously)

I'm thinking she met Gus through work (she's a nurse) or they all just crossed paths one day and Shawn decided she was their new best friend (a la the looney tunes show)

Shares custody of Shawn, if Gus is busy with work or has just had enough of Shawn for a bit, she joins him on his cases instead and/or tries to keep him entertained

I'm unsure if she knows that Shawn is faking being a psychic or not, I'm thinking she's eventually let in on the bit so they have someone else in their corner helping them do the grunt work, but until then she's sceptical but goes along with it regardless because it's fun to watch

Gets on well with Juliet, they started hanging out outside of cases when she invited Juliet out with her friends because she knows what it's like to be new in town not knowing many people. they soon have a 'you're not insane and neither am I (both clearly insane)' thing going on and the others try to avoid leaving them alone unsupervised

Lassiter immediately writes her off due to her association with Shawn but slowly warms up to her and to his horror, finds himself falling for her (much to Juliet, their number one shipper's, delight)

Henry is kind of a father figure to her, with her family living elsewhere he kind of steps in to help her with various things (car trouble, maintenance issues, no one to fish with etc.) and they become quite close. she loves to annoy Shawn by saying she's Henry's favourite (she gets away with more/lectured less than him and Gus)

Juliet is that type of friend that, when Carlton comes out to her, gets all supportive and gets him a little pin with the pan flag, to wear where he wants to.

Carlton smiles a little, but then Juliet doesn't see the pin, not even inside one of the drawers she is supposed to not open uhuh.

At least until the first day of June, when Carlton comes in the police station with that same pin proudly displayed on his jacket. And he wears it every day until the end of the months.

Juliet's smile is always a little brighter when she sees him around.

I love the show, Pysch!! James Roday is spectacular as Shawn Spencer. I don't think anyone else could've played this role as well as he does. He's so much fun and bursting with energy.

With his partner, Gus, they solve crimes and annoy the Santa Barbara police to no end. I enjoy that.

Juliette and Lassiter are fun characters, but they don't stand a chance to solve anything without Shawn.

One of my favorite parts of the show is the beginning flashback to Shawn's childhood. His dad, Henry, played by Corbin Bernsen, is always trying to teach Shawn a lesson. It relates to what's gonna happen on the show. I don't see this show on TV much. I think it's not given the credit and respect that it deserves. At least, that's how i see it. It's a fun show, and perfect if you're in a silly mood. It always cheers me up, which is why I'm watching it today. I feel much better now 😁😍

I'm only on like season 6 of supernatural and I know it ended but I just want a psych/supernatural crossover just cause it would be so fucking funny because so many of the actors have been on both shows and the themes are so similar yet so different

POV: you are Velvette and Valentino when Vox wakes you up after he did something stupid

I based Vox’s entire pose on Psych’s Carlton Lassiter, from said shows S6E2 “Last Night Gus” - Psych fans will know. (Highly recommended Pysch, such a fun show!)

Velvette’s hair could have been better, but idk how her hair is coloured. We know she has pink and blue hair, with white stripes, but i guessed what it would look like down. Not the best, but it’s meant to be shitty because she has mega bed head haha.

Valentino is wearing the robe for Vel’s sake - he’s naked underneath it. He’s a nude sleeper, I’d guess.

It's fine! I can resend it :) I had an idea where he and the reader work on cases together, and the reader somehow gets injured on a case and Lassie gets all overprotective, and he has to take care of them. Just a lot of fluff, maybe some cuddles :3 If you're up for it!

It was an accident really, something that Carlton should not be blaming himself for. Sitting in the hospital bed you watched the man fiddle with his tie, he was looking everywhere around the room but you.

“This isn’t your fault Carlton...you know that right.”

Carlton scowled for a moment before frowning as he sat down in the chair, dragging the chair closer to the bed he did his best to be careful of your leg. “Of course it was....I got distracted. Not only did you get hit by the suspect...the prick got away.”

Sighing you sagged back into the hospital bed, while he was right about that. You didn’t blame Carlton for what happened to you, you were alive thanks to him. Giving him a smile you reached out grasping his hand gently as you gave him a teasing smile. 

“Okay I maybe hauled up in a hospital bed with a broken leg, bruised ribs and everything else from a car crashing into me but at least Shawn caught the guy.” 

That made Carlton groan though giving his hand a soft squeeze your smile softened. “You stayed by my side and that’s what matters most.”

Feeling his cheeks burn Carlton cleared out his throat as he adverted his eyes from you. “I...hmp...so is their anything I can do for you y/n.”

“Carlton you’ve done enough.”

“Y/n...please just let me.” Sitting up Carlton started to fluff your pillow, suppressing the urge to roll your eyes you then watched as the man close the blinds in your room. Quickly looking around he then spotted your empty cup, wrinkling his nose he quickly made his way to the door.

“Carlton...don’t.”

“Don’t what?”

With an innocent look on his face you started to relax back into the bed until the detective poked his head out the door. “Hey! instead on your ass playing on your phone do you mind getting some water for the injured cop in here!.” 

“Carlton!”

“What?”

Sitting up from the bed you tried not to move so much ignoring the light pain as you kept your gaze on the man. “Apologize...I am fine.”

“I..” Seeing the look on your face he sighed letting his shoulders drop as he poked his head back out. “I’m...sorry.”

Closing the door he then slipped back into his seat grabbing your hand again, spotting his pout you let out a chuckle. “Do you know what you could do that would make me feel better?”

“Oh?” That seemed to have perked him up.

Grinning you did your best to lean forward. “You could kiss me.” Giving him a wink it was cute seeing his cheeks turn red, even after a year of dating he would still blush around you.

“If it...will make you feel better than I can’t really say no can I?”

“I’m afraid not.” Leaning closer to you, Carlton captured your lips in a soft but gentle kiss as he did his best not to injure you more.

“Better?”

“Much better.”
