• Assemble a private library full of classical masterpieces and epic poetry

• Gather up your courage and intervene if you see someone getting bullied

• Volunteer to be the mediator in your siblings' quarrels

• Know your way around fine dining, whether it's uncorking a bottle of champagne or using the right fork and knife

• Learn how to play a musical instrument like flute or guitar

• Study different schools of thought, religions and cultures. You might find them not so different from yours

• And overall whenever you see an opportunity to do good, take it at once. Knight's ultimate purpose is to serve, be of service to others, be it friends and loved ones or complete strangers

For the Love of My Questcore

Ever since I first discovered my aesthetic, QuestCore, I knew I had found something truly special. For me it’s a part of some many other Cores: Fantasy, Greek, adventure, western, noir, and a host of other cores. For me, QuestCore isn’t limited to just fantasy worlds; it’s about exploring urban streets, haunted houses, ancient ruins, and countless other environments. It’s about immersing myself in a journey that feels real and tangible, where every step, every decision, counts. It’s a way of experiencing the world through a lens of excitement, discovery, and purpose.

What I love most about QuestCore is the sense of wandering with an aim. It’s not just about reaching a destination; it’s about the thrill of the journey itself. Every twist and turn, every alleyway or abandoned building, offers a new story waiting to unfold. It’s a bit like LARPing, but more serious, more focused on the depth of experience. I want to feel like I’m living those moments hour by hour, experiencing everything that a character in a movie would—except it’s all real to me in my own way.

To me, QuestCore is about the journey and the companionship that makes it meaningful. It’s about sharing those moments with friends or fellow explorers, working together to overcome obstacles and uncover secrets. The bonds formed during these adventures add layers of depth and emotion, making each experience richer. Whether we’re navigating a haunted house or deciphering clues in an ancient ruin, it’s the camaraderie that elevates the entire quest. We’re all in this together, pushing forward with a shared purpose.

A core aspect of QuestCore is the challenge—tests of skills that aren’t limited to just combat. It’s about survival, thinking on your feet, and truly immersing yourself in the world around you. Sometimes, it’s not about treasures or gold but about obtaining crucial documents, stopping a crime in progress, or uncovering hidden clues. The thrill lies in the process—piecing together information, sneaking through shadows, and making strategic decisions that matter. It’s a mental and physical adventure that keeps me on my toes.

QuestCore has given me a new way to experience stories—both fictional and real. It’s about feeling like I’m part of something bigger, actively participating rather than just observing. Each adventure is a chance to grow, learn, and challenge myself in ways I never expected. Whether I’m navigating urban landscapes or ancient temples, I’m always chasing that feeling of excitement and discovery that makes this aesthetic so compelling.

Ultimately, QuestCore is about embracing the unknown with curiosity and purpose. It’s a deeply personal journey that’s shaped by my love for adventure, storytelling, and exploration. It’s a way of life that encourages me to see the world as a place full of mysteries waiting to be unraveled. i tried my hand at a little adventurecore (more specifically taverncore) writing. i imagine that all of that questing and adventuring around is as emotionally tiring as it is physically so... here you go.

The rain is pouring down outside, falling so fast that you can't hear the individual raindrops against the window of the tavern. You're soaked to the bone, and you take off your cloak as you walk up to the bar.

The barman is friendly, too friendly for your tastes. Not that you don't trust him, of course, you've had a many good conversations with the fellow before, back in your starry-eyed adventuring youth, but right now his smile makes you irritated, wondering in the back of your mind when the last time you smiled was.

"G'evening, traveler!" he says as you sit on one of the bar stools. "Fancy seeing you here again. How was that last quest? Go alright?"

"I suppose," you say with a shrug.

"You're really making a name for yourself, kid," he said. "A lot of people are grateful for what you're doing, fighting evil and all that."

"Yeah." You put your head down on the table, exhausted. You never noticed how tired you were until you stopped to rest.

"You know what, I like you, kid."

"'m not a kid."

"Well, either way, you're clearly tired. Need food? Anything you want, on the house."

"No, you don't have to," you say, sitting back up straight.

"Oh, come on, you deserve a good meal right about now. What do you want?"

"What do I want?" you mutter with a sad laugh.

"Who's to say. But I do know what you need. A warm meal and a dry place to sleep tonight. Come on, you can't pass up an offer like this."

"No. I suppose I can't."

The server is pretty friendly to new members, the members and mods are very welcoming, and there is a channel list to help you navigate the server :)

Channel categories include places to share creative endeavours, whether that is visual art, writing, photography, cooking, music, gardening, and craft projects!

The server is highly aestheticised, all the channels are set up like adventure-y locations, mods are “rangers”, and even the name colours reflect the theme!!

There are weekly challenges posted that you can choose to participate in. These are designed to be accessible to everyone regardless of personal skill, ability, or location.
