quinn fabray was hopeless. she was in love with a girl, for christ's sake. she'd disappointed her daddy enough when she'd gotten pregnant, and then didn't even raise the baby. let alone now, that she's revealed she's a lesbian to the entire school. she knows she'll never hold the crown of most popular, but she didn't care anymore. all she wanted was for the girl she loved most to love her back.

your family was more accepting than hers, and due to your status in the glee club, you liking girls wasn't that big of a shock to mckinley. you'd made plenty of friends to help clean you off when a slushy would fly straight to your face, so it wasn't as terrible. you stuck around quinn a lot, her having found a comfort in you, that you were unaware of. eventually, quinn revealed her feelings, and was so immensely happy that they were reciprocated.

that was 6 months ago. quinn had changed, matured within the time of your relationship. she'd grown up, a lot. you stayed sweet and soft, something quinn has grown to adore. you lay in bed with your girlfriend, head on her chest, as she brushes your hair out of your eyes softly. she messed it up a little, from brushing her fingers through, but that's okay, she'll fix it later. for now, she focuses on pampering you. your love was gentle, something she'd never experienced before you. maybe that's why she loves you so much, because you didn't want her for your sexual desires. you didn't seem to have any, actually. you stray as far away from those as you can. that's alright, she won't judge or rush you, and she'd rather die than watch the tears fill your eyes. you were an easy crier. one time, she'd brought something up, and it'd upset you quickly. your face got all splotchy and pink, and your face twisted in a heart-wrenching way. you looked so sad, it was just terrible. she'd pulled you into her arms as quick as possible, eager to get that look off of your face. she didn't realize she was lost in her thoughts, and that her hand had paused, until she heard your voice.

"quinn?" you ask, worried eyes gazing up at her. she looked down, her hand returning to those gentle caresses. "are you okay?"

"mhm, i'm okay. just thinking." she replies, voice kind as ever. it was a side of her that only you got to see.

"about what?" you ask, filled with curiosity and concern.

"about you, pretty baby." she answers, hoping your questions would slow, and you wouldn't be as worried. she didn't wanna say that she was thinking about how her heart felt like it was ripped from her chest when you cried.

"m'kay." was your murmur, before you curled further into her chest. you were tired, it wasn't difficult to tell by the way one hand clutched at her shirt and how the other's grip loosened on your floral bedsheets. your eyes fluttered closed, and she watched with a gentle smile, before tugging you up as slowly as she possibly could. "c'mon, let's get you into some pajamas."

with your dad being in the military, you weren't very used to staying in one place. you had recently relocated from austin, texas to lima, ohio, across the entire country. you were leaving everyone you knew behind, but even then you didn't really know them, you were only there for two years.

it was the end of your first day at mckinley. you were on your way to soccer tryouts. you had always liked soccer, it was the only thing that stayed the same in a world constantly changing. while you walked out to the field, you ran into a blonde, causing her to drop her books.

"oh god i'm so sorry!" you apologized kneeling down to help the girl pick up her books. she was already down and had picked up a majority of them before you could help. you handed her a book, causing her to look up at you with a soft smile.

she was gorgeous. she made your knees weak just by looking at her. "you're the new kid right? y/n y/ln?" she asked, quickly snapping you out of your thoughts. you nodded "uh yeah, h-how did you know that?" you pondered. she let out a soft chuckle "i had to know the new cutest girl at school" she quipped with a smirk.

your cheeks felt hot as she said that, "are you off to soccer tryouts?" she questioned. you nodded again "yeah.. how did you know that? are you in my head?" she let out a breathy laugh "it's the only reason someone would be here still, i'm here for a glee practice, but i'm assuming you're not too interested in that" she said, making eye contact with you. "speaking of tryouts, you're going to be late" she added on, looking at the clock behind you. you turned around and nodded before running off "sorry again for knocking you down!" you yelled.

the next day you waited eagerly to know if you made it onto the team. but you started to think that that's not really what you were waiting for. you were waiting for a certain blonde to walk by.

you stood by your locker, getting your books for your next class. you watched the blonde girl walk down the hall. you were smitten over this girl. she smiled at you and waved, before a guy from the opposite side of the hall walked into your vision and threw a drink at her. it sort of looked like, a slushy?

you didn't really care what it was. the problem was, this guy just threw a drink at the blonde girl. you were outraged.

you looked at the buffoon before lunging at him, punching his nose. you thought you heard a crack but you weren't too worried about that. you wanted to get revenge. you continued punching him until he flipped you over and began hitting you back. just then, a man with what seemed like a really bad perm, pulled the crook off of you "kravosky, im sick of you doing this!" he yelled "she started it!" he boomed in response. the man didn't care about that, he took kravosky to the principals office after making sure you were okay.

you stood up and looked around, looking for the blonde girl, 'she's probably in the restroom' you thought, so then you ran off looking for her. you went to the nearest restroom and, to no one's surprise, the blonde girl was there, desperately trying to wash off the slushy.

"saw what happened back there" your voice echoed, causing the cheerleader to jump, "pretty rough" you added on. she shook her head before turning towards you, gasping as soon as she saw you "what happened?" she wondered. you had a bruise on your cheek and a black eye was starting to form. she walked towards you before putting her hand on your cheek gently rubbing the bruise. you winced in pain before the blonde girl removed her hands. "sorry." she whispered with sympathy "did you beat kravosky up for me?" she quizzed.

you nodded "i tried at least" you started, grabbing her hands with yours "couldn't stand to see someone bully the prettiest girl i've ever seen" the cheerleader blushed "and i don't even know your name" you added. she looked up at you, confused "quinn, quinn fabray" she stated.

you grinned, god even her name was pretty. you gently massaged her hands in yours "why'd you do that?" she whispered, looking down. "there was a connection between us yesterday. you know it, i know it. i thought that if i defended you, you would give me a try" you replied to her, looking down at the blonde waiting for her to look back up at you.

she nodded before making eye contact with you, "go on a date with me tonight" she commanded. My family was an immigrant family from Italy. My sister and me were the only American citizen in my family. We were also the only two who could speak English fluently. My dad was on a work visa from Germany and my mom was on a work visa from Italy.

I had always made it through school without being noticed. All I wanted to do was make it through the four years of high school. Living in Lima, Ohio is never easy. Especially when I didn’t have any friends. My home life wasn’t easy my family struggled a lot with money. We would live paycheck to paycheck. My mom had issues with what my father said was shopping. But it was really an addiction to drugs and drinking. I tried to never be a burden to anyone. I just tried making it out of high school which was never gonna happen I had several failed classes that I needed to catch up on and pass. I didn’t know if I would be making it out of fucking Lima Ohio. I didn’t even know if I wanted to graduate. There’s several jobs that don’t need me to graduate or my dad’s boss had dropped out of high school and made himself a million dollar business.

On the other hand my sister was a Cheerio. She was popular. She was dating a football player Matt Rutherford. She was friends with the unholy trinity although she was a year younger than them. They accepted her and treated her like a little sister. Her and Matt met last year when he was a freshman and she was an 8th grader. She was at cheerleading camp and performed at one of the games. She seemed to be the perfect kid straight A’s and just all together Straight. Unlike me who was a raging Lesbian loner with tattoos and piercings.

It was the first day of my senior year. As I got dressed in a leather crop top, a leather skirt and a heavy leather jacket. I ran across the hallway to wake up my sister. I sat on her bed and shook her.

“Hope! It’s time to wake up.” I told her

“Ugh… do I have too.” She pleaded

“Yes, come on we both are in the only two years of highschool that are good.” I replied “we have to leave in 30 minutes. I’m gonna run down the street to the convenient store and grab us some breakfast. Well you put your make up on.”

I ran down to the convenient store and picked us both up some donuts and got us some milk (choose whatever milk you like or change it if your lactose intolerant) I got myself a strawberry banana milk and my sister some chocolate. I went up to the counter to pay. I headed back to the car and went back home to grab my sister. She was already outside waiting for me. As I drove her to school we sang along to the radio. We had a twenty minute drive to school so we sang everything from AC/DCs Thunderstruck to Bon Jovi’s You give love a bad name. But as soon as we arrived at school she had me drop her off a block away so that she would not be seen with me. I drove into the senior lot almost hitting a couple of Jocks throwing kids into a dumpster.

I kept my head down all day like usual. Until I got cornered in the library by my Spanish teacher after school well I was studying. Well I was actually waiting for my sister. I was excepting that he wanted to talk to me about Spanish. But instead he showed me a video of me in middle school singing in my choir. He asked me if I would join his stupid glee club. I said no of course. Why would I join a stupid club let alone the glee club. I was walking out the school when I saw some kids in the choir room singing and what apparently they think is dancing. I stopped and stood there for a second before a girl with a really big smile waved at me. God I hated happy people I walked away and got in my car and drove a block away to pick my sister up.

“How was cheer practice?” I asked her

“Don’t talk to me. I don’t talk to losers like you.” She told me

“Okay, Lupa.” I said

I got home and went to bed. There was no point in staying up the only thing that it would lead to is me getting yelled at but of course I still got yelled out.

As she left my bedroom I heard her go upstairs and go to her room. I went upstairs and went out to my car I just went for a drive to see how far I could get. I didn’t stop driving til I got tired. At that point I had Passed the border I wasn’t sure what direction I was going in. But I had hit Michigan at some point a couple hours ago. It was way past the start of school but I couldn’t go back. I couldn’t get what my mom said out of my head. It hurt so much I knew that she didn’t like me but I did not think that she would say it to my face. I got a text from Matt saying that he had brought my sister to school.

I had stayed away for a couple days staying at a hotel. Well I was staying there one day I was exploring and I discovered that there was a good lesbian bar that was near by the hotel. I didn’t drink much but I met some people that were like me and it felt good for the first time in along time.

When I came back I drove into the senior lot I didn’t attend much of my classes I attended my history class and spent the rest of the time in the only place that I never get interrupted the auditorium. I don’t why but it was always the place that I felt the safest. I looked up when I heard talking I saw those group of kids from the choir room a football player. I think his name was Fish I have no clue I wasn’t paying attention when Matt introduced them to me and my sister. When they started singing I heard the happiness in their voice. It sounded like the really wanted to be there. I looked up to see Mr. Schue standing next to me also watching them. He said some shit I guess he was gonna leave (which wouldn’t be the worse thing) I don’t even think he knows Spanish.

Why was I so happy in that moment. Maybe it was cause I was seeing a group of kids who the world hadn’t damaged yet. Just having fun maybe I realized …

21. FLESH - Which OC would you most like to look like?

The OCs I traffic in these days tend to be dnd characters y'all have not met, and I tend to go uh pretty all out with my dnd characters and not necessarily in a wish fulfillment way.

I guess it would be pretty cool to be a zebra centaur tho (their name is tentatively Rowan and they're my backup if my current campaign character dies lol)

27. ICE - Are you cruel to your characters?

You know I was REALLY HOPING someone would ask me this because I GENUINELY TRULY THINK THE ANSWER IS NO and I DON'T THINK PEOPLE AGREE WITH ME ON THIS

My stance on this has long been "I'm just telling the truth here, it's not my fault her life sucks" and like-- I think this is the correct attitude to take! like lbr if Blake Belladonna (or Quinn Fabray or idk the Tenth Doctor or any of the other characters I've given a particularly hard time) is your favorite character, you're not looking for fluff-- you're drawn to them because the circumstances of their lives are extraordinary and difficult and evoke pathos, and diamonds are forged under extreme pressure.

to me, "cruelty" implies a level of like, arbitrary malice that simply isn't present. I'm not doing it just because it hurts or to kick them while they're down. I'm doing it because their actions have consequences and they're reaping what they've sown and and it's cathartic to watch them struggle through difficulty and pain and overcome it.

I could talk about this forever and I'm very curious for other people's thoughts on this so hmu if you have a take
