Since Daisy is a year younger than Will and Gabe, and is the youngest among her siblings, I feel like she felt super alone once Will and Gabe left to play for BC. Like she felt like everyone was abandoning her, and the feeling was mellow at first, like she could handle it on her own; it was just something that was plaguing her mind, but when she saw videos of Will at a party after having forgotten their daily FaceTime, she just goes down a really bad spiral. She feels left behind and her parents are too interested in everyone else's (her siblings) hockey careers to even focus on her. So she trains really hard for ballet, leaving home early in the morning and coming back just in time for dinner. She starts ignoring her family's and Will's calls, feeling like a burden to everyone else until Will goes back to Michigan on a non-game day. He goes to her house and she isn't there, her parents don't even know where she is, and he finds her at the dance studio alone. When she sees him, she thinks she's hallucinating. "Will?" He smiles at her and she rushes into his arms. She tells him why she's been ignoring his and everyone else's calls and barely responding to texts, and he reassures her that she's not a burden; that he's always thinking about her because he loves her. "You're a hard person not to think about."

Daisy and Will definitely did the love language quiz one day while in his dorm at BC and Daisy's highest 2 love languages were quality time and words of affirmation. Like she needs to be with someone at all times or else her life just feels like a nightmare (exhibit A: the first thought LOL ^), and she loves hearing Will whisper sweet nothings in her ear when they're in public or even when they're just hanging out together, she loves when he randomly calls her beautiful after staring at her for a long time. Will's highest 2 love languages were physical touch and acts of service. Since they had to hide their relationship for a while, he liked to brush her hand in public, or have his hand on the small of her back, just something to keep her close by and connected while still having to look like they're nothing to each other. It's like a reminder to each other that they're there even though it may not look like it. He also loves kisses and when she sits on his lap instead of the open space beside him. He also loves giving her gifts. Like on the randomest of days, he'll just buy her flowers or tell her to get dresses so he can take her out to a fancy dinner. Like yes, he goes all out on anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays, but it feels extra special when it's just a normal day and there's nothing to celebrate.

When Daisy gets to BC her freshman year, she already feels at home since everyone she loves is already there: her boyfriend, her brother, some of the USNTDP boys. The boys become her best friends, and when Will can't go to a party with her or if she wants to go just with her girl friends, Will will always text the team group chat and be like "Dais is going to a party, keep her safe please." Because he knows at least one of those boys are going to the same exact party.

After the draft, Daisy gets particularly close with Adam Fantilli, Connor Bedard, and Leo Carlsson. Daisy came with Will on his trip to Las Vegas the time they went to see the Golden Knights play during the Stanley Cup. She thought Adam was super kind and mature (and didn't believe him when he said he was 18), Connor was funny, cracking his little quips here and there, and Leo was hilarious. There was never a time when Leo wasn't making a joke. They bonded over their music interests having that Leo was the only one that didn't only listen to country music 24/7. She took shots with them at the afterparty, promising to keep in touch once the night was over. She still talks to Connor sometimes, commenting on his post or sending him a funny TikTok from time to time, and she's always texting Leo about a new Drake album that just got released or joking about something random that just popped into one of their heads. And being Gabe's little sister, sometimes she accompanies him to the Hughes' lake house during the offseason. While Gabe and the rest of the boys train together, Daisy hangs out with Ellen (who feels like the mother she never really had with her own). There, she sees Adam, reuniting after the draft and rubbing it in Connor and Leo's faces that she gets to hang out with him and not them. Their little friend group is so cute. And Will always wonders why Daisy's in the group chat, but not him and Daisy's always like 🤷‍♀️

Most episodes are written like their seasons - they end opposite how they start. This is the 5th installment of my 14 episode series post. For those who don't know me, you can take and use my gifs any time you want.

3x5: The Reckoning

3x5 opens with Klaus wanting to hurt Elena. 3x5 ends with Klaus wanting to protect Elena.

The title of the episode itself is everything. Best to know why their two council members (Damon and Alaric) aren't in Mystic Falls. The way the writers pulled this off is insane and altogether perfect for Elena's un-fall.

I'm gonna cover the 20s first because it's easier than explaining the necklace. It's because Stefan spent the entire summer lying to Klaus that everyone in 3x5 is reliving the 20s. THIS is the reckoning. Klaus wasting his entire summer with Stefan when he could've been siring hybrids all along becomes the very wasting of Stefan's summer. That's why Stefan flips his humanity switch. Klaus is taking that loyalty Stefan pretended to give him all summer. He feels it's owed.

"There used to be an all-girls high school around the corner, but it shut down for attendance issues. Weird."

Matt, Tyler, Caroline, Bonnie, and every other student at Mystic Falls High. Consider them students at the all-girls high school around the corner from Stefan's second personality home.

"If you're trying to scare me into giving up and going back, it's not going to work."

Elena in the 20s would still be a human doppelganger. You basically have to imagine Klaus and Rebekah joining Ripper Stefan at the all-girls high school instead of Gloria's bar in the 20s.

If not for her blood being Klaus' solution, Elena wuld be dead along with the rest of them. Consider Stefan's girlfriend dead at the end of this episode. All that's left is the possibility of friendship for Stelena. Undersand this, you understand the 20s dance in 3x20.

"Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan." "Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Stefan."

Klaus, Rebekah, and Ripper Stefan are in their 20s shoes. Thats why Damon and Alaric can't be there. They're not only on the council, both on it for the sake of protecting Mystic Falls, but Damon didn't hang out with Ripper Stefan in the 20s.

"What were you doing in the 1920s? Paving the way for women's liberation?" "I was around. Chicago's a big city. Stefan was a cocky ripper douche. But I could avoid him and still indulge in a few Daisy Buchanans of my own."

This is where Elena's ignorance shines through. She was talking to the brother that waited 145 years to rescue Katherine from the tomb. Yes, Damon was fighting for women's liberation, but there's only so much he can do with the tomb spelled shut. That's why Katherine mentions Pearl, and why Damon and Katherine kiss at the open of the episode. Katherine's comment is necessary because he can't play pretend with her just as he can't play pretend with Elena, so he pushes her off of him. These are Damon's dialogues from 1x14 and 3x4 for the tomb effect...

"You'll bring the walls down if I don't. You think I trust you?"

"Why not. Walls are starting to close in on me around here."

They end their 20s repeat by pulling in Mikael, that's why the episode ends with Jeremy and Katherine at his crypt. Mikael will come face-to-face with Stefan again, and again... it's when Stefan was already compelled by Klaus.

"I had an hour to realize what a bad idea it was to leave you here alone, process it, and move on. Are you okay?" "I shouldn't have left. I promise you I will never leave you again."

It's because of their 20s replay that you're given a 3x3/3x5 Delena parallel. This promise is the very reason Damon won't leave town in season 4. He uses Connor as an excuse to stay.

The necklace ship-shift

The necklace burns Elena, then the necklace burns Stefan.

Consider the necklace the straw that broke the camel's back. When Klaus found out about it, he was done with Stefan. That's why Rebekah's scene matters. Katherine warned him. "And I've heard about that sister. Be careful. She'll ruin you." Rebekah's scene was the moment Klaus decided Stefan would bite Elena. He forced him to flip his switch for the very sake of it. The end of Stelena like The End of the Affair.

You can see what they do with the necklace through their Bamon side-by-sides. I'm talking about specific Bamon scene cuts that show Damon is the owner of the necklace.

Their "potluck" event. Damon chooses the Fell family card. Dr. Fell, who heals Elena using Damon's blood. Like that necklace, Damon has his own magic lol.

Their kitchen scenes written alongside their "unbreakable" scene. Extremely important as I post this scene cut for Bamon.

All of which pushes to 3x15. Left just beyond the vampire seal for representation. Elena will become a vampire and Damon will become human. They're unbreakable.

However, this is the Bamon side-by-side that matters, and it's cut. They don't want fans seeing Elena give Damon the necklace, so fans are left to imagine it lol

Trust me when I say it's Damon's necklace at the end of 3x5. She gave it to him, period. That's why they show Damon and Elena looking at each other when Stefan leaves, then cut scene.
