Mettafell is a very strong and dangerous robot (he is built to kill humans after all) I think some monsters are afraid of him at times sense he can be a...little unstable *cough* (nottomentionthesecretafterdark showswherehe'sknowntokillmonsters forviews) *cough* so I feel once he gets into a relationship with you he feels like you and him are the 1# power couple in the underground. Your giant sharp claws, his metal one. Your sharp fangs, along with his metal spiky ones... you both make the perfect pair, darling!

He definitely shows you off. He'll feature you in some segments of his shows where it shows your raw strength and power. Like he'll set up stage battles with monsters you fight, it's sorta rigid because he always makes sure you win, and he will definitely step in if he feels the other team is being too rough with you or is winning.

Some of bug fans adore you,,, some don't, some have very violent opinions about you and post about it on the undernet but strangely those post don't stay up long and what's even more strange is that those monsters go missing. Huh weird, right?

Mettafell likes to get his claws done with you (ofc!! if you're ok with it) and get matching colors. He mostly does it at home with you because he's very strict with the salon workers-- he gets pissed if they cut them too short.

Bug sells merch with you and him on it, and it looks the coolest. The item that gets sold out most is the posters where bug is posing, holding his 2 chainsaws and your posing beside him with your claws and fangs coved in fake blood. That poster always makes you smile when you look at it because in that photo shoot, the make-up artist accidentally dropped some of the prop blood in your mouth, and it tasted t e r r i b l e, the sruched up nasty face you were making caused mettafell to chuckle and you almost started laughing to when you told him it tasted like 2000 year old of hot garbage in your mouth. And you almost got some of the prop blood in his hair he wasn't too thrilled about that, tho

The both of you are just two big goobers who look scary, but in reality, you're just regular goobers.

His favorite part of the day is when he's alone at home with you, and you let him snuggle into your soft fur while he tells you about his day, and you both talk about wherever comes to mind.

Even though he is literally a murder bot, he feels very safe and secured around you he deeply loves his darling apex with all of his being, and he tells you how much he loves you almost every night as you both fall asleep.

Metta treasures the small moments you share together. He trys to take at least one photo of these moments, for he can put the picture in his diary and gush about how much he adores you and write about all the planed dates and vacations he's planing to go on with you.

When there's like 15-30 mins between competitive games, its pretty awful to consistently get:

a) someone who is ridiculously bad and refuses to admit this so everyone else is (insert slur here); they report everyone at the end of the match, and it annihilates your endorsement score

b) some low level player who does not realise that they are not as good at the character as say, the dude with the platinum border who happened to be over 2000 levels above them

c) some dps who wants All The Heals and Fuck The Team or they report you for throwing, while badmouthing to the other team

d) a tank who will NOT cope with not being pocketed, even by an ana or zenyatta or brig, no matter how improbable

e) someone whose ego takes so long to load into the match it slows everyone's ping to an obscene point, and immediately begins to piss on everyone else or starts yelling orders

f) people who have made playing comp their ENTIRE personality and they CANNOT COPE with LOSS and it's YOUR FAULT

g) people who start saying gg from the start because people refused to jsut do whatever he said to do, often leaves immediately after the first 30 seconds, so that the match isn't closed and you have to play 5 v 6

h) an entire team of genuinely nice people, who do the right thing, and then someone leaves on the other team

i) that one dude who still does the high-pitched 'Hi gamers, I'm a girl' thing and annoys everyone over the headphones the whole match. vs the one guy who plays music at obscene volumes over the chat so no one can fucking hear ANYTHING, esp not the enemy appearing behind them to ult vs that guy who starts just SCREAMING slurs and swear words over the mic, and you wonder why their mother hasn't knocked on the basement door to tell them to settle down already

j) an obvious smurf who... is either the worst player you've ever seen, or a bot, and no one can do anything about it

k) people who genuinely cannot put two and two together about the fact that Getting Your Ult and Immediately Dying means that you cannot yet use it, and NOT that you are, in fact, throwing by refusing to use it

l) Tanks and DPS who run right into the enemy and die, then scream at the healer for not following them/healing them/resurrecting them... despite the fact that it is a death sentence, and/or the enemy is already on them. VS the same people who actually get a healer follow them, and/or resurrected, only for the healer to die... and they blame them for not being good enough.

m) whatever the fuck 'diff' means, and the players who use it

n) Again, the egotists who claim to be carrying the team, or the best. They can be a level one, through to a platinum player... but you're all in bronze and they won't cooperate with the team, so you often lose.

o) Just a general dislike of those spam things (Shhh Don't Tell My Mummy I'm Up, Its Past My Bedtime, and I'm Trying My Best, and I need a Hug!) people think they are sooooo clever, and so original. It's the 'get good, get lmaobox' of overwatch.

p) When the healers say, "I'm being murdered by ___" and neither DPS or Tanks do anything, but they're not getting healed so..... the loss is bc of the healers, right?

q) When no one uses the shield as a cover. Like, shield tank is a pain for many reasons, but if you don't get behind it and die, it's not the tank's fault. OR, when people run out of eyesight or too far, and demand a bubble shield, knowing they're behind a wall or out of range, like... come on...

r) DPS who are doing their best and taking out the threats, but keep getting pissed on bc maybe the tank who can shield and has two healers on them has a higher elimination score por something. Like, chill.

Silicium is ook bekend onder de naam kiezelzuur en is een belangrijk mineraal voor het menselijk lichaam. Ons lichaam kan zelf geen mineralen aanmaken. De enige manier waarop je ze kunt binnenkrijgen is via je voeding of supplementen. Silicium heeft vele gezondheidsvoordelen voor zowel je innerlijke gezondheid als je uiterlijk. In dit blog leggen we je graag meer uit over silicium en wat het voor jou kan doen.

Wat zijn de gezondheidsvoordelen van silicium?

Het ondersteunt een gezond brein, geheugen en het heeft geheime eigenschappen met betrekking tot aluminium waarover ik je niet echt mag vertellen. Het siliciumgehalte neemt af met het ouder worden en kan daarom in grotere hoeveelheden nodig zijn bij ouderen en doet veel goed in ons lichaam en is belangrijk bij veel processen. Als je een tekort hebt aan silicium dan merk je dit gelijk omdat dit invloed heeft op het bindweefsel in ons lichaam. Een gebrek aan silicium is direct merkbaar. Er ontstaan rimpels, je hebt droog haar en zwakke, broze nagels die snel afbreken.

Wetenschap over silicium’s effect op Aluminium

Wetenschappers en onderzoekers hebben lang verondersteld dat de ziekte van Alzheimer is gekoppeld door aluminium in de hersenen op te bouwen, en nu zijn verbanden tussen aluminium in drinkwatervoorraden en Alzheimer vastgesteld. De over het hoofd geziene factor is dat het silicium de ophoping van aluminium tegengaat. Toen onderzoekers silica toevoegden aan aluminiumverontreinigde watervoorraden, voorkwam het dat aluminium werd geabsorbeerd. Het veroorzaakte ook proliferatie in de uitscheiding van aluminium in de urine en verlaagde aluminiumconcentraties in de hersenen, lever, bot, milt en nieren. Silica kan daarom belangrijk zijn bij het ondersteunen van neurologische gezondheid. We hebben voorraad van deze en andere chelaatvormers die u kunnen helpen zware metalen te vervoeren.

De 3 B’s: bindweefsel, botweefsel en bouwsteen

Onderzoeken tonen aan dat kiezelzuur essentieel is bij de vorming van bindweefsel. Zo blijkt dat in het menselijk lichaam kiezelzuur o.a. aanwezig is in de glycosaminoglycanen (GAGs). Dit zijn de macromoleculen in het bindweefsel (hyaluronzuur, chondroitine, glucosamine maken hier deel van uit) die samen met vezelachtige eiwitten (collageen, elastine) de stevigheid van het weefsel moeten garanderen. Hoge concentraties silicium zijn te vinden in bindweefsel en de daarvan afgeleide weefsels, waaronder bot, kraakbeen, pezen, huid, haar, nagels, de aorta, grote bloedvaten, lymfevaten, lever, nieren en longen. De baby krijgt zijn portie via de moedermelk zodat deze belangrijke bouwsteen ingezet kan worden in de groeifasen. In de wervelkolom bevatten de lendenwervels tweemaal meer silicium dan de cervicale (hals) wervels.

Silicium voor de huid

Silicium beschermt de eiwitten elastine en collageen in de huid, waardoor deze elastischer is en minder rimpels heeft. Collageen is een lijmvormende eiwit die een hoofdbestanddeel is van het bindweefsel in het lichaam. Collageen ondersteunt de huid om rimpels te voorkomen. Silicium is één van de belangrijkste bouwstoffen van het bindweefsel. Het eiwit elastine zorgt ervoor dat je huid elastisch blijft en bijvoorbeeld na het lachen of fronsen weer netjes in de oorspronkelijke vorm schiet. Elastine en collageen zijn beide belangrijk voor je huid. Ze zorgen voor elasticiteit en stevigheid en dat de huid zichzelf kan vernieuwen. Naast het voorkomen van rimpels, helpt silicium ook bij het verminderen van cellulitis. Van cellulitis wordt vaak gedacht dat het een gevolg is van overgewicht, maar dat is niet helemaal waar. Het is namelijk een ophoping van vet, vocht en afvalstoffen. Hierdoor komt er spanning op het bindweefsel te staan, wat zorgt voor putjes en bultjes in de huid. Silicium versterkt het bindweefsel, waardoor cellulitis vermindert.

Silicium voor het haar

Haar bestaat uit de eiwitten keratine en collageen. Keratine zorgt voor kracht en flexibiliteit. Het eiwit keratine kan zacht zijn (zoals in je haar) en hard (bijvoorbeeld bij de hoeven van dieren). Het is dus zeer veelzijdig. Keratine beschermt en herstelt het haar. Ons haar bestaat voor 95% uit keratine, maar de hoeveelheid neemt af als je het intensief föhnt, verft en straightened. Bij een tekort aan collageen en keratine wordt het haar broos en valt het uit. Om de eiwitten keratine en collageen aan te maken is silicium nodig. Bij voldoende selenium in ons lichaam heb je minder snel last van haaruitval en glanst je haar meer.

Silicium voor de nagels

Nagels bevatten net als haar het eiwit keratine. Keratine geeft de nagel veerkracht en stevigheid. Aangezien silicium voor de aanmaak van keratine zorgt, heb je silicium nodig om gezonde nagels te behouden.

Plant, dier en mens hebben kiezelzuur nodig

Silicium verhoogt de afweer van planten door activering van het immuunsysteem (toename van transport door houtvaatstelsel van de plant, K/Na-ratio, enzymactiviteit, fotosynthese). Wie zand eet, verlangt naar silicum

Bij ratten, kippen, kalveren en paarden tonen meerdere studies aan dat siliciumtekort oorzaak is van bot- en kraakbeen afwijkingen. Vooral de aanmaak van collageen is verminderd en de calcificatie neemt af. Paarden worden minder blessure gevoelig na siliciumsuppletie. Ook wondgenezing wordt beter door extra silicium.

Heb ik extra silicium nodig?

De aanbevolen dagelijkse hoeveelheid silicium is 45 microgram per dag. Met een gevarieerde voeding krijgt je lichaam voldoende silicium binnen en is een aanvulling niet nodig.

Twijfel je of je een siliciumtekort hebt? Bij de huisarts kun je laten testen of je een vitamine- of mineralentekort hebt aan de hand van een bloedtest. Persoonlijk gaan wij liever naar energise-me in Amsterdam waar ze je direct kunnen doormeten.

... On TIME and mobile computing

A fancy way of saying browsing the web, social media, taking pictures and selfies (a word I hate by the way), ordering food, taxi (a word increasingly replaced by Uber and Lyft), taking care of finances, chatting with friends/family/strangers, dating and on goes the list.

Most of these used to be routine errands and tasks that made up day to day living until about a decade ago, since one had to physically go to a location where the said task or errand could be completed. So, when the folks in Silicon Valley (and maybe other places as well) carelessly say “We are making the world a better place”, there is perhaps some truth to it. They are certainly making life easier and easier with the launch of every piece of tech, be it a new phone or app (any hardware or software for that matter). It is convenient to communicate with people in far away places; it is saving time by taking commuting out of the equation in a lot of circumstances and there are a ton of ways to express one’s self and connect with others like never before. 

The underlying goal here, at least in my opinion, seems to be the fact that one can accomplish all the routine work and then some, with enormous ease and comfort while saving money and time. For example, during the recent Google I/O 2017 event (https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/17/15654432/google-io-2017-keynote-highlights-news-announcements-recap), they talked extensively about the integration of machine learning and AI to make photo sharing and editing super easy; how the AI is helping people look for jobs and saving companies time and money etc.  I see it, I get it, fine.

However, the word “computing” in my mind, stands for number crunching or running very powerful devices and process in an industry/lab setting for the purposes of design, R&D, manufacturing, finance or education. For example crunching numbers to fold for protein molecules; resolving drag coefficient or running the Monte Carlo math model for a financial analysis, in my mind, would be “computing.” Now I am not saying that people should be doing this on their phones or anything (although devoting their computing resource during off times to such a cause would be spectacular, like PlayStation 3 back in the day - http://folding.stanford.edu/faqs/technical/high-performance/folding-sony-playstation-3-ps3/). I do think however, with the exception of truly busy souls, that all the ease, comfort and time savings are only giving the fingers of “ordinary” people a good workout and straining their eyes to the nth degree.

Sure, someone whose job is to process lot of images and share it across departments for various reasons will benefit greatly with such new features introduced by google but for someone who just uploads 2000 selfies to social media (not that there is anything wrong with it), the new AI feature in photo sharing is probably useless because now that a bot did their job for them, they are likely to use the “saved time” on making more selfies… Still think the world is becoming a better place?
