Nocturnal Detective Agency Kitties!

here's all of em individually

also for the first time ever when drawing characters as cats I gave them specific breeds(You can thank Halara for giving me the idea because before drawing them I had already decided that they would be a hypoallergenic cat in reference to the fact that they're canonically allergic to cats)

anyways here's everyone's breed

Yuma - Oriental Shorthair

Yakou - Norwegian Forest Cat

Halara - Balinese

Desuhiko - Flame Point Siamese

Fubuki - Pixie Bob

Vivia - Lykoi

also there are some details missing such as Yuma's ahoge and how some of them have cheek fluff but the poses I drew some of them in prevented me from adding those details/ I decided later that they had cheek fluff

also I tried to keep everyones fur colors as close to their actual hair colors as possible while still keeping their designs realistic so some of them have had their colors lightened, darkened or muted

also fun fact, I only originally intended to draw the four master detectives and Yuma and Yakou were recently added(like I literally just drew them)

I wonder what lab makoto reaction if someone gives him a box full of kittens

He would probably be suspicious as always, he would keep sniffing until the kittens started meowing, which would melt his heart. He would cling to these little babys all the time and would act like he was their father. xD

Also, he acts like a dog, so it's kind of funny to put a half dog and kittens together. Imagine that the cats served as therapy for him, if he started to freak out, the cats meowing or touching him would calm him down.

Ooh boy, this is going to be a long one. I’d say my favorite so far are:

“Family Where You Least Expect It” by Lee_The_Bean because I loved the Nocturnal Detective Family being protective over Yuma, and the hurt/comfort feelings it provided.

“The Raincode Collective” and “Dark Alley Rain Code” by Kumori_District because of the Yakou Fathero fluff and hurt/comfort.

The “Twin Detectives” series by DraconicSparkle because I love the brotherly relationship they wrote of Yuma and Makoto.

“Rain Code: New Game Plus” by MHJoker4Ever because it’s an AU where the detectives from the Amaterasu Express survives and therefore are part of the storyline, along with promises of changes to the story and expanding and changing the concept of the Mystery Labyrinth (specifically how the souls are reaped in the end, which is similar to what I’m doing for my fics).

“Unrestrained Summer Fun!” by rararazaquato which is a slice-of-life summer fun fic with Yuma, the detective squad, Kurumi, and Makoto.

“Master Comfort Archives” by FlamelessPira for, again, the hurt/comfort fics with the Nocturnal Detective Family (though so far it has been Yakou and Yuma).

And of course the fic you said, “Master Detective Archives: First Code” by Cocoa Cat (The_Silent_Sparrow) because I like seeing their interpretation of how Number One came to be, and their character analysis of him.

- pucci: 5/10 the promo stuff of them was a very good bait and she’s cute i guess

also ignore how true form Shinigami is kind of cut off at her tail, that's actually the second attempt at drawing her true form for my au and I cut it off because Yuma was going to be sitting next to her

anyways in this au Shinigami is a saber tooth tiger!
