An experience that truly fortified the respect I have for my craft unfolded recently as I visited the range with my fellow actor and good friend, Clay Wilde. This was more than an evening spent revisiting the discipline of firearms handling and aiming. It was a reaffirmation of the unwavering dedication to authenticity and safety that each role demands of us, especially those that involve firearms. 🔫💪

In my acting journey, the character of Officer Hudson from the noted horror film "Malum" - a project by the brilliant Anthony DiBlasi, carries a special place. This role, along with others that require handling firearms, accentuates the weight of responsibility we carry. As a Navy veteran, the reverence for this discipline is deeply rooted within me. 🚢🎬

The focus, the discipline, the steady hand – it all culminated at the range. Aiming close to the 90% mark of my intended target, I realized the importance of a composed mind and the true value of 'breath control.' A testament to how an unwavering mind can truly make its mark. 🎯

Gratitude to you, Clay, for being a part of this journey, and here's to many more shared experiences. 🤝

Tonight was a "meat and potatoes" session practicing a good 'ol solid, technically sound draw stroke from concealment under heavy clothing in cold/low light conditions. We started off slow and sped it up as we went along, all the while maintaining accuracy. SPORTING RIFLE RANGE NIGHT

Valentine's night shooting range, not quite as busy as normal but we still had plenty of shooters, I was down to just me as a coach and RO too and a trainee RO, I forgot to take more than one photo I was so busy.

One thing I noticed last night the lady shooters out numbered the men shooters two to one.

A fantastic night was had and some fine scores were put in for the league shoots, Pat you have a good pile of cards to score this week on your return.

Eley Ammunition lead the way in the top scores for the 22lr shooting and Air Arms lead the way with the air rifle shooting disciplines.

Last night was the last Pass It on young sports rifle range of, 2022 were back on the 5th of January 2023 and we're almost fully booked already 💪🙏⚔️🛡️🤠

WOW what a fantastic night, families swapping presents 🎁 minced pies and Christmas music, a festive Marksmanship shoot with Christmas tree 🌲 paper targets, the range was packed, the club room overflowing, Christmas filled the air, a truly magnificent night and the icing on the cake 🍰 for Pass It On Young Sports to finish this wonderful year off ✨🕯️🌲🐾🐶🐺🎅💪🙏🛡️⚔️🤠🎁

Pass It On Young Sports air rifle range night 💪🤠

What a fantastic night of Cameraderie, Marksmanship and coaching the Young Sports we had, there were some fantastic scores put in for their league cards, Air Arms shooters leading the way with all the other brands falling in behind them, Eley was well represented here too 💪🤠

A huge thanx goes out to The Really Wild Adventures Marksmanship Team for Coaching and being our awesome ROs 🙏💪🤠

The range was buzzing as was the club room that was packed out with young sports and their families all having a wonderful time sat on the big sofas, chatting, laughing and enjoying the hot chocolate and biscuits, whilst reading all and discussing all the shooting magazines and more 🙏💪🤠

This is such a wonderful venue to shoot at and our nights so social 💪🙏

What a magnificent range night we had last night, we were packed to capacity, we could not have fitted another young sport shooter in if we had tried.

The range was so fully booked it was so busy, first a huge shout out to the awesome Really Wild Adventures Marksmanship Team, for coaching and being ROs, we could not have coped without you guys so thank you one and all 💪🙏🤠

The range was buzzing and the young sports put in some amazing scores in their league cards, top instructor Pat your going to have your work cut out scoring all of these when you return from your travels lol 🤣

The club room was buzzing with jovial laughter chatting and Cameraderie, this has become such a social evening not just about marksmanship 💪🙏🤠

What an awesome Sporting Rifle Range Night we had last night at The Long Ashton And District Rifle Club.

The Air Arms and Eley Supporters Ranges were buzzing, not as busy as usual as many are away on holiday or were working, but we were still hectic as some of the dad's brought their young sports as they were on child care nights and didn't want to miss range time.

A massive thanx to The Really Wild Adventures Marksmanship Instructors for being ROs and Coaching.

The club room was buzzing too, with laughter chatting and jovial banter filling the air as the hot and cold soft drinks flowed and they ate all the biscuits.

Pass It On Young Sports range night, and what a sombre start to our night on Thursday as we heard of the passing of our dear Queen 😭💔🙏

We did our own version of a 21 gun salute and moments silence 👑🙏

As her majesty the show must go on, we had a wonderful night with every shooting slot filled by the young sports and their families, there was some fantastic scores put in and lots of fun social target shooting.

The club room was full of chatter, laughter and jovialness as well as sombre moment for our beloved queen's passing 👑🙏

The hot and cold soft drinks and confectionery flowed too.

A wonderful night of social target shooting, jovialness and Cameraderie.

What an awesome night we had last night at The Long Ashton And District Rifle Club.

We had working parties all week doing range maintenance, as a bit of a thanx to everyone I arranged a one off social fun shoot, normally a Friday night is for serious league shooting, but as no shooters were booked in I thought this would be a perfect night for a fun social shoot night with fun comps etc

Several of the work party folks came and several members and probation members too, Dan brought his daughter Bella, wow she shot so well beating hmmmm some not so young sports, a really jovial social nights shooting and I sponsored some prizes too.

A one off Friday night fun shoot but what a night everyone left smiling, this is such a fun shooting club to be part of 😎

Such a jovial, social evening of Marksmanship and Cameraderie, we were packed to capacity even with a couple of folks away working and on holiday.

We had such fun and the scoring was tight, especially between two sisters who are very competitive with each other, our league shooting was first class too
