I absolutely adore that so much of the fandom agrees with this and unfortunately I haven’t seen much of the concept played out, not in a sense of crossovers anyway. Don’t get me wrong the two versions getting along is fantastic I just also like to think they get a rocky start kind of assuming all pronouns/names (depending on the hcs) are the same. For example:

Rise Leo, referring to ‘12: “man what an excellent guy. Such a dude. A manly man” and 12 Raph wanting to punch something and scream while 12 Leo wants to like crawl in a hole and die hearing this and Rise Leo thinks he’s alleviating gender dysphoria and then can’t tell if her brothers are being transphobic or not when they correct him that their version goes by she/her. 12 Raph probably tries to attack them upon getting called “she” and that’s when they decided to pause everything and actually explain

Either way I guess it sorta works as the eldest in both versions is trans fem whereas the next child is trans masc, it’s just Raph who got oldest daughter syndrome this time instead of Leo </3

Ok, here's part 2 of 2

My niece asked me why I drew Leo looking so smug about his pumpkin, so I started making up a story on the spot. I was reminded of the scrapped episode about Donnie growing a huge pumpkin, so that's where this is based off of.

Leo, Raph and Mikey went to a pumpkin patch for a family carving contest. Leo, of course, has to one up his brothers by getting the biggest one of the bunch. They tote their prizes home and start getting ready while Leo shows off how much bigger his pumpkin is then Donnie's. Donnie didn't go with coz he grew his own in a green house he had, and of course he used science to make it huge. As big as the living area.

He was about to reveal his enormous gourd with Leo scoffing about the sheet covering it. But when he pulls of the sheet, it's gone. The scene where Donnie shows off the Turtle tank is about what happens here. When Donnie realizes the pumpkin is missing they go searching for it.

Now, I was making it up for my niece, so this is where it probably doesn't make sense now.

She wanted to know where the pumpkin went, so I told her Todd took it. He was just on a walk or something when he saw the giant pumpkin and decided to make some pies for his puppies.

Donnie tracks it down and get there to late to save the gourd, and all that left was the giant stem. Todd is oblivious to the situation and offers some pie. So this sp means, the other boys still haven't seen the giant pumpkin and Leo keeps rubbing it in that his is still the largest.

She also asked me why Donnie didn't just grow another, and I told her the greenhouse was destroyed in the old lair and he hasn't had time to make another in the new lair.

I'm also thinking just now that as the episode comes to a close, the camera zooms in on a framed photo of Todd, the pups, and the pumpkin in his motor home. Ya know, kinda proving to the audience that Donnie really did grow a giant pumpkin.

After the Kraang invade the Earth, Leo decides not to remember what happened. He also hides his "infection" from the Kraang from everyone. Having introduced a part of itself into Leo's body, the Kraang is set to play unfairly, and plays on brotherly feelings, instilling in Leo his worthlessness and eternal failures, because of which his brothers do not like him. After trying to resist the internal turmoil caused by the Kraang, Leo gives in and loses to the Kraang, subsequently the latter gains control over Leo's body and mind. The only thing the Kraang wants is to get the "key" back to itself, for this it goes to Raph, attacking him. Realizing that Leo could have harmed his brother, he comes to his senses and tells everyone that he is possessed. The brothers decide to perform an operation to remove it from Leo's hand. At first, everything goes well, until Leo's body again becomes susceptible to the Kraang's capture. The vessel that was Leo turned out to be too exhausted and weak, so grabbing Donnie by the neck, the Krang moves into the genius's body, playing on Donnie's feelings of guilt for the death of his brother during the operation.

I still like to think that Krang would be a kind of infection that was transmitted. But anyway it was all created for entertainment purposes and i had fun with it
