• The dragon was an “odd” one to say the least.

• Unlike their kin, they would rather be equal with the fellow cookies. Not classifying them by strength, or faithfulness, nothing.

• Today, they are watering their plants, tending to each one carefully.

• It was a warm day, not cool or blazing hot, just perfect for spending leisure time outside.

• That was until loud noises came from the back of the garden.

when it comes to pet names she generally leans towards cutesy stuff (think: ‘sweetie’, ‘honey’, ‘baby’, etc.) but she usually just uses your name unless she actively wants something from you — like your attention if she feels like you’re ‘neglecting her’ too much

on the other hand, she hates being called by her ‘name’ and much prefers being referred to as all sorts of cute pet names by you — so anything from ‘darling’ and ‘dearest’ to ‘angel’ and ‘cutie’ is completely fine by her (and will be rewarded if such terms of endearment don’t come as naturally to her you as they do to her)

she’s very physically affectionate and always seems to be hanging off of your body when you’re together (an arm around your shoulder, cuddling into your side whilst hugging your arm, hugging you from behind, kissing your neck/cheek/lips randomly, etc.) and she’s also very liberal when it comes to complimenting you (when you’re with her it’s pretty much impossible to think negatively about yourself) — but her main love language is actually quality time

she’s absolutely the type of girlfriend to pick at your food when you’re eating even though she doesn’t necessarily need to eat like you do — she’s also the sort to enjoy being ‘cutesy’ by hand feeding you sweets, fruits, and snacks whenever you’re eating together

being with you and knowing that you’re spending time with her because you care for her as a person and aren’t just caught up in her charm and seduction is incredibly comforting and reassuring for kumiho cookie — especially if that quality time allows her to shed her human form for a bit and be playful in her original body (bonus points if you let her nap on/beside you whilst she’s a fox because those bouts of sleep are the best she ever has)

she’s quick to jealousy but the way that she goes about showing it isn’t exactly obvious to anyone that isn’t really close to her (anyone but you, in other words): being extra affectionate towards you, verbally flirting with you, batting her eyelashes at you, trying to lure you away from the other party through whatever means possible, and subtly glaring at and goading the person she’s jealous of whenever you’re not looking at her

kumiho cookie is forever bragging about you and all of your accomplishments to anyone who will listen — discussing the treats and foods you’ve made for her with vendors at the markets she frequents, charming others into doing what she wants whilst dropping in comments about how in love she is with you (making it clear that she’s taken whilst still getting whatever she desires from them), and gushing over the last date you took her on with those she gets along with (usually okchun cookie after she helps her village) whenever she gets the chance

raspberry cookie defaults to terms of endearment that are more ‘traditional’ and ‘respectable’ because of her upbringing, social status, and the perception of her within her family (and because of it) — so things like ‘darling’, ‘angel’ and ‘my dear’ are common place for her

her main love languages are acts of service (giving) and words of affirmation (receiving) — she’s forever bringing you your favourite foods from the markets and running you baths after long days, and after a stressful day of training or an event where she felt like she fell just short of her goal, she loves nothing more than coming home to you and being wrapped up in your arms as you tell her, earnestly, how much you love her and how proud you are of her for how far she’s come

her kisses are all very chaste and appropriate until the two of you are married (and even then she’s still very proper around others) because of how she’s been brought up: light pecks to the insides of your wrists, chaste kisses along each knuckle and fingertip, kissing the back of your hand before she leaves you to go and train, pressing her lips to your temple/the crown of your head before you part ways for a longer period of time, and even chastely pecking your lips in a stolen moment of privacy at one of the grand royal balls held by queen hollyberry and her family

she’s incredibly protective over you and isn’t afraid to challenge anyone who dares to insult or mistreat you to a duel — though they very rarely take her up on her offer due to her reputation as a skilled swordswoman and the vast majority will trip over their words in an attempt to apologise to you before fleeing with their tails between their legs

when talking to others she never uses the words ‘girlfriend’ or ‘partner’ to refer to you as she doesn’t like the sound of them — ‘my beloved’ is the term she uses most often for you and, later on in your relationship, she’ll start calling you things like ‘my fiancée’ and ‘my wife’ with so much obvious pride that it makes your heart swell

she doesn’t really get jealous so much as she gets protective over you — she trusts you with everything she has and knows that you’d never stray from your relationship, but she’s also keenly aware of the fact that there are others in the kingdom that are interested in you and that won’t necessarily respect a simple ‘no thank you’ or another such form of rejection (hence why she insists on training you to protect yourself and why she always sticks close by you when you’re in public together)

if you offer to feed her some of whatever you’re eating (e.g. picking a single grape off of the vine, or taking a small piece of the cake you’re testing and bringing it to her lips to try), then raspberry cookie will promptly go pink in the cheeks and timidly accept your offer — she’s not used to small ‘cute’ gestures like that, which is plainly obvious once you get to know her, but she appreciates them nonetheless

cuddling with raspberry cookie is quite the rare activity since she’s usually far too busy throughout the day to spend any proper time with you in private — and time spent in public is limited to only the ‘proper’ and ‘polite’ forms of pda (she adores you but she also can’t risk the reputation of her household, it’s a delicate balance really)

but all that means is that the times where she is able to cuddle with you are all the more special and intimate — defined by a cracked open window with fluttering curtains, her lips on your temple, your arms around each other and the two of you laying in bed after a long and gruelling day

she prefers to cuddle with you curled into her side or resting on her chest because she loves being able to feel like she’s protecting you (and not at all because she’s comforted by your body weight on top of her and it helps her sleep better, of course not)

when she’s in this position she’ll keep her lips on the side of your head, drifting in and out of sleep and answering any questions you have with a low hum or an ‘of course/of course not, my love’ as she drifts off

she’s extremely warm, practically a loving space heater in all but name, so when you’re in her arms you’re unlikely to need a blanket or anything — she’s also extremely strong and once she’s asleep (like properly, deeply asleep) you are not going anywhere without her approval

in short, cuddling with raspberry cookie is an incredibly warm, intimate and private experience — one that’s rife with affection and adoration and sleepy attempts at conversation

"Wake up, wake up!" Someone shouted while violently shaking you.

You would flutter your eyes open to be met with your crimson haired girlfriend laying on top of you.

"It's too early.." You would mumbled while pulling the covers back over your head.

She would roll her eyes. "No It's not. It's seven. Now get up because I have a surprise for you!" She'd yank the covers down and glare at you.

"Surprise? For what..?"

"Did you forget? You blockhead, it's Valentine's Day. Now for the last time, get up!"

She'd start to shake you again.

"Alright alright! Just stop shaking me!" You'd sigh and lean up in the bed. Raspberry Cookie had a big smile on her face. "Thank you~" she'd chime before picking you up bridal style.

It looked so easy for her, picking you up like that.

"Hey, I can walk!" You'd yell, squirming to get out of her grasp.

"Stop moving so much. I don't want to drop you!" Raspberry would tell you, making sure to hold you a bit tighter.

"Then put me down."

"But I like carrying you. You're my princess, and you deserve to be treated like one."

"Why not your queen?"

"Hehe, we have to be married to be considered queens."

"Then you should propose to me!" You would tell her excitedly.

She would stop walking and her face would heat up. "Are you being serious..?" She would ask through a flushed face.

You'd nod your head.

"One day, then." She said with a smile.

She lead you into the kitchen where she carefully plopped you down onto the floor. On the table was a wonderful presentation of foods. "Wow, did you make all of this?" You would ask her.

She twirled her hair bashfully. "I did.. You said you liked my cooking a while back, so I thought I might try again."

You smiled brightly. "Oh it's wonderful-!" You picked her up and twirled her around before placing her back onto the ground. "Thank you so much, love." You'd tell her.

"I just wanted to do something nice for us." She would tell you. "Did it impress you?"

"You always impress me. Now come on, let's eat!"

You'd take her hand and lead her to the table. You would take a look at the desserts that she made.

It was the same flavor of cake that she made when you first baked together.

Everything looked so great, and the two of you had a wonderful breakfast prepared by yours truly.

"Oh, we should go on a walk through the town!" You said cheerfully.

"That sounds like a great idea. Come on, let's go!" Raspberry Cookie took hold of your hand and ran the both of you outside of the house.

You two started by looking at the different stalls, when a certain pair of keychains caught your eyes.

"Raspberry, let's get these matching keychains." You suggested with a sparkle in your eyes.

She nodded.

"Sure! They look super cute."

She took out her coin purse and placed the coins on the counter.

"That pair, please." Raspberry said while pointing the keychain you were interested.

The vendor took down the hanging keychains and handed them the Raspberry.

"Thank you so much for your patronage." She would say.

"Oh and, you two are such a cute couple!" She would say with a smile.

Raspberry would blush while looking at you.

"Ah, thank you.." she'd mutter while taking the keychains off of the table.

She showed them to you.

"Now we can match."

"We always match. We're perfect for each other." You'd tell her. She would laugh a bit before taking your hand again.

You two would just wander the streets for a bit, buying cute charms and trying different foods. It was all going so well until some bandits decided to ruin your date.

"You punks better give us all of your cash, or we'll make sure you regret it." One of the bandits said.

Before Raspberry Cookie could take out her sword, you stepped up.

"Ah, it's okay, I can take out these good-for-nothing bandits!" She would tell you.

"No, it's fine really. I can fight as well," you would remind her. You drew your sword and made quick work of them.

Raspberry would just watch eagerly.

"Wow, you're really good." She'd say.

"I learned from the best~"

"And who might that be?"

"You, of course."

She would laugh and take your hand again.

"Come on, I have a place that I want to show you," Raspberry said.

She lead you up to a cliff, where you could see all of the city.

"Do you like it? I used to come here alone to see the view, but I've always wanted to come here with someone. Today seemed like the perfect day."

The view was so beautiful.

But not as beautiful as her.

"What was that?"

"I said the view isn't as beautiful as you." You'd repeat.

"Ah, you're always such a flirt!" She'd say with a red face. "But thank you."

There was a nice silence as the two of you sat down near the edge of the cliff.

"Did you mean what you said earlier?" She asked.

"Mean what?"

"About wanting me to propose to you.."

"Well... yeah."

"...." She didn't say anything for while. "One day. I promise." She told you.

"I love you too, Raspberry Cookie."

"Hehe, not if I propose first!"

She would smile.

"You know, you're my everything. My reason to live. You are my heart. I love you so much."
