“Hobie, what are you doing to our baby?” You ask by the doorway while Hobie looks inside Billie's mouth with a tiny flashlight.

“Playin’ dentist.” He says matter-of-factly while Mona gurgles on his lap. Billie's playing along with her dad, milk still on the corner of her lips, eyes— your eyes, staring at him with amusement from where he's cradling her.

“Really?” You drop the duffel bag filled with crossbow arrows to be stored in the garage where the girls will never get a hold of. “Because you look like you're checking to see if her fangs are out.”

Hobie clicks the flashlight off, giving you a narrowed look as his hand grasps his chest like he's offended by your words. Billie blows a raspberry, milk bubbles popping and making herself giggle. “How could you accuse me of somethin' like that?”

Ramona looks at you, arms stretched in front of her. She looks adorable in her cat onesie. While Billie grasps at her velvet blanky that's draped over her rose printed onesie. They're a carbon copy of Hobie, all except for his vampire qualities.

You raise a brow, walking over to them on the playpen. “They just turned one, Hobie, they can't talk and most of all, can't ask you to play dentist.”

“You could never know, they're dhampirs. I heard their development is quicker.”

You fake a loud gasp, earning a happy shriek from both girls. “They are?! I didn't know!”

Hobie rolls his crimson eyes, tugging at the hem of your pants to sit you down next to him. “‘m jus’ sayin’, look at Bella's kid! Rose somethin'. She was an adult within a week.” You shudder at the thought of your girls suddenly waking up as teenagers.

You swat his hand away and sit down, he tries to hide a victorious grin but fails when Billie nuzzles her chubby face on his chest. Taking Mona from his lap, you cradle the back of her as you gently carry her in your arms. You're basically an expert at carrying babies now, you figured that it's no different than juggling a dozen wooden stakes in your arms. The only difference is that your babies are much more adorable.

“First of all, Bella isn't real, and second, that's not even her daughter's name!”

Hobie pulls you closer to him with a hand on your waist, smirking from ear to ear. “I knew you liked that shi—” he peeks at his girls, and then over to you, whose eyes are warning him. “—shiz.” He sighs in relief at the save.

You roll your eyes. You worry that your girls would get that trait from you and Hobie, then you two would really have your hands full. “I don't, I'm just an attentive watcher.”

“Right, what's the kid's name?”

“...Renesmee.”

“Exactly.” He pokes your chest playfully, then makes a face at the name.

“Fine, then why are you even looking for their invisible fangs?” You wave off the accusation. “If it's not appearing now, then it'll never come out.”

“Your tomes told you that?”

“Actually, yes.”

Hobie quiets down, sighing as he rests his head on the couch behind him. “I was jus’ checkin’.”

Your eyes soften, cheek placed on his shoulder while Mona slowly falls asleep in your arms. You hold out a finger for Billie to hold, and she immediately grips at it, trying to take a bite. You don't mind it since she's just teething, and her baby teeth aren't fully out yet.

“Do you want them to have fangs?”

Hobie gazes at you, palm kneading at your thigh. “Jus' maybe the powers that come with it. They're gonna need it, y’know?”

“I know, Hobs.” Kissing his shoulder, you help ease him out of his mind. “It won't be easy for us, for them. But we'll be right there for them at every step of the way. They have a hunter for a mom and a thousand year old vampire as their dad. They'll be fine.”

“And a werewolf aunt, a clairvoyant uncle and a powerful warlock uncle on their side.” He says with a smile, staring fondly at his twin daughters. “They'll be alright.”

“We’ll be prepared for the shit that's coming. If someone's brave enough to cross us.” Billie continues to nibble at your finger, gums biting desperately.

Hobie lifts his palm and cups your cheek, pressing a brief yet sweet kiss on the corner of your lips. “So I can't say it but you can?” He asks with a teasing glint in his wine red eyes.

“I whispered it so it doesn't count— ow!” You yank your hand away as the piercing pain ebbs on your finger. Billie giggles loudly, happy while your blood trickles down her lips, and a peek of a tiny fang pokes through her smile.

“Shit.” You and Hobie simultaneously say.

My Golden Blood Episode 2: This reluctant puppy you must protect (my live reaction)

FINALLY! Almost 12 hours after the episode aired in Thailand, I’m FINALLY able to watch it, too.

As was the case with The Heart Killers before, it was pure hell keeping myself away from the tempting spoilers. 

Of course, weak as I am, I couldn't resist the pull. So this week’s spoilers are:

The funny towel scene! 🤣 (I’m so here for this peak comedy!)

The beautiful hurt/comfort scene where Tong falls unconscious and Mark catches him in his arms. (I have watched this moment countless times already. I don't know the context. Just that it tickles my hurt/comfort sense in all the right ways. Thank you, show, for this sweet tidbit!) 

Mark’s fight against his bloodlust. (Gets me every time. It’s incredibly sexy when he battles the monster in him to protect Tong.) 

The “I’ve watched you for 20 years” scene with a very fiery, defiant, and stubborn Tong. 🫠

That’s it! I’ve waited long enough. Let’s find out how episode 2 is going.

Oh man, the chemistry between Tong and Mark is doing its magic again. Look at that lovely smile on Mark’s face! Ah, I love how Mark stands ramrod straight and studies Tong with his brooding eyes. 

Jesus Lord, one of my most favorite scenes so far. The moving OST in the back. The way Tong is so trusting, taking a sniff from that herbal stuff without any questions.  

Then he just falls so very softly against Mark, who catches him effortlessly. So tender and sweet. Look at how Mark's eyes widen a bit. Is he already falling for our precious Tong?

She seems shady to me. Someone who is walking around all in white is bound to have some stains on them. What are her plans with Mark and Tong. She clearly knows more. 

Gosh, Tong, they will put you into a mental hospital if you keep babbling like that. 

Uhh, so thrilling! I'm clutching my blanket like a lifeline. I love Tong running for his life. Argh, thank God, Mark came to the rescue. (Will Tong eventually get bitten by a vampire? Nakan, perhaps? Or by Mark himself? I want a scene where Mark drinks straight from Tong's neck. Often! I'm here for sexy bloodsucking.)

Nooo, Mark got shot! Wait a sec! He got shot? A 200 year old vampire? Isn't he supposed to be ultra powerful? The fight scene was pretty good, though.  

Tong all worried sick over Mark! Even calling him Mark, not khun. My heart is pounding so fast. He drew his own blood for Mark. Come on, Mark, drop the act and drink his blood! (Why wasn't he tempted like before?) We've all been waiting for round two since EP1. 🤣🫠😁 

Gjdhsrhnk, a golden teardrop (or sweat drop?). He is crying for Mark. Oh my god. And his tears have healing powers! (Does that mean his other …[mind is in the gutter right now 😁 I bet Mark will have the time of his life when they have sex.]). (After rewatching this scene, I think it was sweat.)

The Hungry Vampire (LF!Vamp Reg)

This has just been sitting in my google docs for the longest time sorry y'all

“R-Reg, plehease, you- you don’t want toho do this!” Right Hand Man insisted, forcing down giggles as he tried his best to back away. Reginald had managed to corner him on their bed, and RHM could tell from his expression alone that he was hungry. He knew he could fight back, but the thought of even hurting Reginald’s feelings was enough to make that idea completely forbidden to him. He also knew Reg needed to feed, but fuck if how he wanted to wasn’t the most flustering thing.

How Reginald wanted to feed, of course, involved tickling the absolute shit out of Right Hand Man.

“Righty, I don’t just want to, I need to,” the brunette insisted, “Everyone in this damn place is miserable and I can’t feed anywhere. Besides, you know I like your laughter the best, and this is the best way to get it~”

“But- but this is my neck you’re talking about! You know how bad it is!” the redhead argued, covering the side of his neck with one hand. “Everyone’s going to hear!”

“Oh, darling, you know I would never do anything to put your reputation in jeopardy…”

Oh thank god…

“Which is why I had this installed!” Reginald finished before pushing a button on the wall a few inches above RHM’s head. Faint whirring could be heard before a muffled thud from the walls around them.

“What was that..?”

“I had our room fitted with optional soundproofing!” he explained, “That way others can still hear if we need help, but we can make sure they don’t hear what we don’t want them too, including your wonderful laughter~”

“There’s no talking you out of this, is there…?”

“Unless you really don’t want me to do this. Is that the case, dear?” Reginald asked, backing off for a moment. “If you need me to, I’ll stop.”

RHM huffed a sigh as his face reddened even more. He knew he didn’t want Reginald to stop. He tried to tell himself it was because he wanted him to be well-fed, or because he didn’t want to hurt his feelings, but it was impossible to ignore the real reason.

It was because he cherished these moments with him. He loved playing like this. As much as it went against the carefully-built, tough, ruthless image of himself he’d built, he loved letting go of control and just laughing sometimes. Sure, he’d protest before, during and after, but it always left him feeling better, and closer with his beloved husband.

“I… I don’t…” he finally admitted, refusing to make eye contact with Reginald, although he could see that smile return.

“And you promise this is because you want it, not because I do?” the brunette asked, his tone genuine.

“I promise… you lucky bastard…” the redhead mumbled just loud enough for his husband to hear.

“The luckiest…” Reginald drew his attention back with a short kiss. “Ready?”

Despite his nerves, RHM nodded, feeling his anticipatory smile return as Reginald’s face lowered to his neck, forcing down nervous giggles, already knowing what was coming.

“I’m going to warn you now, this is really going to tickle~” he heard Reginald say, the words against his neck already pulling nervous snickers from his throat.

“Ihi- I kn- NAAAAHAHAHAHA! REHEHEHEG!” He was cut off by his own laughter as his husband blew the first raspberry into his neck, clinging to his shirt and trying his hardest not to scrunch his shoulder, despite the electrifying sensations that had his brain screaming for some kind of cover.

“WAHAHAIT! WAITWAITWAITPLEHEHEASE!” he begged, knowing damn well if he had to wait again he would practically explode from anticipation. He just had to focus on something, anything other than the tickles, whether it be his legs kicking out behind Reg, the texture of Reginald’s coat or his own words, which came out as the first thing that entered his mind. “HEHEHEHELP!”

“Now, who’s going to help when I’m the only one who can even hear you?~” the brunette taunted between his ‘attacks’, RHM barely able to hear him over his own laughter.

“IHIT TIHIHIHIHICKLES! PLEHEHEHEASE!” the redhead cackled, unsure of what he was even asking for.

“Oh, I can tell it tickles, dear, your laugh is delicious!” he cooed, once again, between raspberries that kept his poor husband in hysterics. “It must be so awful for you… Oh, but your laugh is still so sweet~”

“SHUHUHUHUT!! IHI CAHAHAHAN’T!!” 

“Can’t what, dear? Can’t bear the teasing? Can’t think with all the tickles? Do tell, I love listening to you try to talk your way out of this~”

“BREHEHEHEAK!! PLEHEHEHEASE?!” he begged, and suddenly the raspberries stopped, though it took his nerves a few seconds to realize. He managed to look up at Reg, who was sitting up, his good eye filled with tears of mirth. 

It took him a while to get his laughter under control, and when he’d finally gotten it down to giggles at least, he spoke again.

“Chrihihist… whahat the fuhuhuck wahas thahahat…?” he asked the brunette, who shrugged.

“I was hungry,” he said simply, though the smile on his face gave away that it was just as fun for him.

“F-feheels like youhuhu wehere stahaharvihing…”

“Actually, I’m still a bit hungry, if you don’t mind?” Reginald requested, earning a rare giggly whine from his husband.

“Stihihill…?”

“I can’t help what it takes to fill me up, but I’ll be alright if you want to stop here.”

The redhead sighed a bit as his giggling finally stopped, trying to find a way to word what he was going to say.

“I… I mean, I only said ‘break’ for a reason…” he finally said, shrugging slightly. He couldn’t help the way his smile grew at the look Reginald gave him, a cross between relief and pure adoration.

“Oh, my darling Righty…” the brunette sighed as he leaned forward, giving RHM a quick kiss on the forehead. “You have no idea how grateful I am to be yours, sometimes…”

“Trust me, you give me enough of an idea already.”

“Yeah, I wish vampires were real so they’d bite me,” says today’s youth, puffing happily on a mango vape. Meanwhile, every vamp in a ten mile radius is recoiling because of how ASS their blood is gonna taste with all those chemicals in.

“Haha well I don’t smoke so—“ I saw you eat a Big Mac those nitrates are gonna get you. I like my meals to be free of filler chemicals thank you very much!!!

“Oh I ate subway—“ hun that’s not even bread. It’s herb flavored fluff paste. Subway has the least percentage of real meat in their “deli products” out of all fast food chains, burgers, tacos, or otherwise.

Eat clean for your vampire boyfriend, take care of yourself, and know what you’re putting in your body. Raspberries are a great blood cleaner, and so are onions! Low iron can be fixed by cooking with an iron fish in your pan, you could literally be eating Mac and cheese and still making your blood healthier. Self love is WORK, do it for the vamps <3 <3 <3
