“I don’t have much to offer,” he went on softly. “Just a quiet life with a grumpy man from a small town, but I can promise to love you every day.” - Lost and Lassoed, Lyla Sage 🤠 🐎 ✨ | (Brandon Sklenar as Gus Ryder)

Wild & Wrangled, by Lyla Sage
Dusty wasn’t the only man I’d ever loved, but I had to admit that he was the one that I compared every other love to. And none of them ever measured up.

hi everyone 💌
just wanted to say a quick thank you for all the love and support i've been getting recently. when i first started posting here, i was so nervous and unsure of how things would go, but i'm genuinely so grateful for all of you who have followed, reblogged, sent kind messages, or just read my work quietly. it means the world.
with the school year coming up fast, i wanted to give a heads up that i probably won’t be able to update as frequently. lately i’ve been posting pretty consistently, sometimes even daily, just because i’ve had a lot of free time. but once school starts, things are going to get a lot busier for me.
that said, i do still plan to keep writing and posting! my goal is to drop new fics every monday morning, and maybe on thursdays too if i have the time. i have a few ideas in the works already, and i’ll definitely keep you guys posted.
in the meantime, if you want to send me requests, you can do that here! and actually, i’ll be dropping something tomorrow morning, so keep an eye out 👀
thank you again for being here 🤍

✩🤠🥃Review:
Lyla Sage’s debut roped my heart!
“Done and Dusted” follows Clementine “Emmy” Ryder after a riding accident leaves her no choice but to return to her small hometown of Meadowlark, Wyoming. Luke Brooks is Meadowlark’s most notorious bad boy, bar owner, and bachelor. He also happens to be Emmy’s nemesis and her older brother’s best friend. She’s off-limits, but he’s never been good at following the rules.
I am obsessed with every single thing about this book and that is no exaggeration! I loved living inside the heads of Sage’s characters and hold them close to my heart.
I appreciate the way Sage portrays Emmy’s neurodivergence when writing from her perspective. The subtle differences in how she navigates her life are so well-written. I heavily related to the way Emmy bottles up her feelings to avoid inconveniencing anyone. My heart broke as I watched her struggle to get back on the saddle again in silence, but I’m so glad Brooks picked up on what she was going through and made it his mission to help her do what she loves again!
Luke faces hardships of his own that stem from his family situation growing up. He was made to feel unwanted, but found the strength to put that behind him after the Ryder’s took him under their wing. I love the thoughtful, protective, and kind man he became! He is definitely a top book boyfriend of mine.
Emmy and Luke’s relationship made me positively giddy! The kitchen slow dances, nights out at The Devil’s Boot, trips to their secret place, and rides through the mountains make it impossible to fight the visceral urge to reread this book immediately. Everything about it truly makes my heart happy, from the Ryder family’s dynamic to Meadowlark’s small town atmosphere. This has quickly become a comfort read of mine and I cannot wait to return to Rebel Blue Ranch in the next installment!

"I can see you're confused.” He stepped closer to me. “So let me break this down for you: I fucking adore you, Ada. You are, without a doubt, the most brilliant and purposeful woman that I've ever met, and I would be the stupidest man alive if I let something as stupid and surmountable as distance take you away from me." - Swift and Saddled, Lyla Sage 🤠 🐎 ✨ | (Glen Powell as Wes Ryder)

BOOK REVIEW: LOST AND LASSOED BY LYLA SAGE
⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
TROPES
Loathe to Love
Best Friend’s Brother
Forced Proximity
Dual POV
I’ve been waiting for the time Teddy and Gus would get to shine, and it did not disappoint. Everything about their story was exactly what I was hoping it would be. The banter was on point, and it was nice to see it on full display.
I will always love everything about Teddy. She’s spunky and lets herself shine in a way I aspire to be. I think her feeling of waywardness makes sense, especially as she tries to figure out her next move. I think it’s hard when it feels like your friends are “ahead” of you in life, and I know I’ve been struggling a lot recently with feeling like I haven’t hit enough “adult” milestones. It was nice to see that in Teddy and feel like I wasn’t alone.
It was wonderful to watch Gus realize he can have everything he wants and care the way he does while having someone who will do that for him. While it is in the person he least expected, it really opened up a part of him we haven’t seen in the previous two books. I can’t wait to continue to see it in the next installment of Rebel Blue.
