Austin's PR team should do the right thing for once and clarify if he is in American Psycho or not, I love Austin but his PR team is Useless, it's going to be embarrassing for him if it turns out to be fake news, he would be trolled worst than before, I know most of you Austin stans hate facing reality and you sugarcoat everything and sweep everything under the rug well not me, American Psycho movie was a good boast for him, every actor wanted that role, he got the role and jealous haters were trolling him now am hearing it was a fake casting news, if it turns out to be fake then maybe heat2 is fake as well and no one would ever take his casting news seriously because if you were not in the movie and it was reported you were casted, why remain silent for GODsake?! Silence is good YES BUT NOT EVERY DAMN TIME!! am just pained they are trolling and mocking him massively on twitter again, luca or someone need to finalise this news let everybody rest! If the casting is fake news I would be so heartbroken😥.

Okay, first of all...
Take a deep breath
Most people on Twitter are trolls and complainers. Don't you all know that by now lol?
Twitter does not equal real life or the majority of people's opinions.
If the rumor is fake, then that's fine! Do you know how many fake casting rumors are put out there? A lot! 😅 Why on earth would Austin's PR team need to come to his defense with smthg as trivial this? It's not like he assaulted anybody (*cough* looking at YOU Jacob Elordi 🥴), or said anything harmful in the media. This is just a casting rumor/announcement you guys. It's not that serious. Austin just does his work and minds his business. His PR team is fortunate that they do not have to work so hard, because he's usually not saying (or doing) things that warrant him putting his foot in his mouth or coming to his rescue to clean up his image.
Would Ashley have publicly put out on her Instagram Stories multiple posts congratulating Austin on the role before even double-checking with Austin first to see if the news is even true?? 🥴 Think about that for a second.
The author said he "believes" the casting and American Psycho reboot announcement is "fake news". It doesn't mean that it actually IS fake news. Keep in mind, PLENTY of reputable media outlets reported the casting. Even Variety reported it, and you don't usually get too much more reputable than Variety and Deadline. Just saying.
Also keep in mind, that there were plenty of naysayers when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker. Then, people had to eventually eat their words when the film came out. That's why, we leave the casting work to actual casting directors, and not silly fans on the internet. 🙄😒 Btw, Austin has already made people eat their words.
I will never understand people online complaining about a casting before they have even seen the film yet, let alone before the film has even started filming yet. 🥴 It's a waste of breath. At least see the movie first, and then talk about your complaints all you want.
Take another deep breath
Lastly, even if the "American Psycho" casting is only a rumor, who cares? Austin already has like 50 million other projects on his "to-do" list anyway lol. The man is going to be OKAY. 😄

my issue with littlest pet shop: a world of our own
hi! as you can see i have a bone to pick with this show, but i'm going to be criticizing the overall premise rather than individual episodes (i can't bring myself to watch any). nothing exactly provoked me to post this, it's just something i felt like ranting about because i always found it pretty strange and sort of like a slap in the face towards those who liked the 2012 series. very long post incoming 😭
first of all, the entire concept of AWOOO (im going to refer to it as that because the title is way too annoying to type out each time) in context of lps' brand as a whole doesn't make sense. hasbro refers to it (in a backhanded way to jab at 2012) as "a pet-only world made by pets, for pets." this premise alone is contradictory to the entire lps brand. it's called littlest pet shop, not littlest animal universe. the 2012 show made this work by having an actual pet shop with a daycamp area like you would expect irl. yes, the show had humans which i agree sometimes took over a bit too much, but it's meant to be a city-based slice of life cartoon. the main cast are actual pets, they have owners, they have their own homes, like any pet irl would. that's... why they're called pets. whatever AWOOO was trying to achieve just completely defeats the purpose of a pet shop existing. i have no doubt in my mind that hasbro felt so inclined to sweep 2012 under the rug by rushing this half-assed reboot out as fast as they could to satiate all the "bring back the old lps" commenters. there was literally nowhere online you could view content of the 2012 series in ANY site, without the comments being FLOODED with "bring back the old lps." it got to a point where fans were borderline harassing the hasbro employees, recording themselves calling them on the phone for views and clout, and encouraging others to do the same. and guess what? it worked. instead of continuing working on the show while easily selling toys that fans were more in favor of, hasbro thought it would be a better idea to just completely abandon 2012 as a whole and then proceed to act like it never even existed. there was no good reason for them to not continue producing the show (iirc it had pretty good ratings and was one of the most popular hub shows next to mlp ofc) while also selling toys that would cater to both newer and older fans (granted they probably can't sell multiple generations at a time, but still). so ultimately, they hurried this little reboot to get it out there as fast as they could and passively shit on 2012 while talking about its premise. seriously? "no humans getting in the way anymore! we have a WHOLE NEW lps cast with no big headed humans named blythe or her ugly friends! no more communication barriers, because thats no fun! isnt this show just SO much better than 2012?" they were so ready to just throw the 2012 series and everything related to it in the trash. AWOOO was not made out of love and respect. it was made as a way for hasbro to try and get their fans back by proving just how much better this reboot was in such non-discrete manners. they thought of the quickest and easiest way to regain their audience and ran with it, without ever thinking about how it completely diminishes what all the previous generations stood for.
i was one of the very few people who loved the 2012 lps series since it premiered. being a child on the internet in the early 2010s definitely brought down my happiness when watching the show because of the overwhelming negative feedback it was getting along with the rebrand in general (something im VERY nostalgic for). regardless, i continued to tune in whenever it was on tv and i saw myself growing up with the characters. to say that this show had potential is an understatement. the producers intended to make more seasons and you just knew they wanted to keep it going (this was confirmed btw). they weren't in a hurry to get something better out there, until the "bring back the old lps"ers finally got their way. but honestly? it's not completely unheard of for large companies to eventually cave in to the public opinion if it means they'll make more profit. they were desperate, and it was definitely showing.
one of the things i have the most issues with is how hasbro proceeds to COMPLETELY ignore everything regarding the show nowadays. as some of you know the show's 10th anniversary was last november, which i and many people had participated in a large art collab to celebrate and honor the show's legacy. want to know what hasbro did to celebrate? nothing. absolutely nothing. what's even worse is that michael kopsa, the voice of roger, had passed away very shortly before the shows 10th anniversary. and guess what? complete silence. that's just incredibly disrespectful to be completely honest. someone who brought his best work to your show and others on the same network (if im remembering correctly at least) and was such a joy to be around, and this is how you thank him? not a single piece of acknowledgement, all because you're too scared to ever talk about 2012 again because of the scary older fans that persuaded you to pull the plug on the whole thing? you weren't even willing to make one little post offering your condolences? oh because you just can't ever mention that show ever again, it'll spark those negative comments just like before. and you've made it abundantly clear that you care more about profiting off these people than having some kind of self awareness.
i apologize that this got so heavy, i've always wanted to properly write down my honest thoughts about this whole thing because ive been unhappy with it for years and years now. if you like AWOOO, i don't care. i wont give you a hard time for liking it, because the show itself isnt inherently bad. just what went on behind it is what bothers me so much. the fact that hasbro can completely ignore their own creation for what... 7 years now? is beyond my comprehension. they can keep pretending it never existed, but small groups of people online have been rediscovering this show and remembering how much they loved it when they were younger. you had a good thing going here hasbro, it sucks that you had to completely abandon it. but i think i can speak for a few people that this show has always and will always hold a special place in my heart and my childhood memories. even if we can't get more from it, we shouldn't forget to appreciate and cherish what we did get. and nobody can take that away.
#long post#veryyy long post#holy shit?#i did NOT mean for this to get so sentimental lol??#lps 2012 is my special interest and you can see i am very passionate about it (it's the autism)#anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk#any lps 2012 likers out there reading this pls interact#we need to keep this community alive and thriving 🔥🔥🔥#lps 2012#littlest pet shop#littlest pet shop 2012#littlest pet shop: a world of our own#lps: awooo

you dont have to add more to this i just have more silly ideas and would like to send them to you <3 cos you mentioning your brain being fried gave me more ideas hahahhaa IM SORRY THIS IS SO LONG
Robotnik being Very Very Overworked and just. Having been working for way too long with way too little sleep and also way too little sustenance besides coffee probably. Even with with the crazy way he works, he does have a limit. And that limit is now. He's so tired he cannot think, and his hands are shaking, and like everything is a blur-
When Stone comes to try and tell his doctor to rest, Robotnik snaps at him, more viciously than he usually does. Something really really bothers him, really really gets under his skin. It's the whole robot thing, actually. He cannot even BEAR to look at Stone right now cos he's so dang salty about this stupid guy being a stupid robot meaning he has no stupid bodily human limits and can keep going and-
Well it turns out he's so tired he didn't realise it came out as a verbal angry rant right into Stone's face- Cos Stone is like :o :| :/ >:/
Like USUALLY this is something Stone would take with no problem, he gets yelled at all the time and he doesn't really mind, but this is different. This is his doctor not taking care of himself and that's not okay. In this case he has to grab the doctors hands and literally be like. "Doctor."
Does he remember what happens when he does not let his Badniks have their scheduled charging time? Does he remember how his systems behave when he postpones their daily system restart? Does he remember how even Stone's memory stutters and falters when he has not had a proper charge and reboot cycle in too many days, RAM stuttering and chugging with unsorted data and full of noisy junk, batteries struggling to keep up with a constant supply of barely enough power from the charging points around the lab. Even the doctors perfect creations need rest.
Doctor. Your body requires system maintenance. Take a break. Please.
I FINALLY ANSWERED THIS! this is so amazing GOD I love it. here here you go been thinking abt this.
hehe.
god omgf can i just say? what a lucky little fandom nut and bolt i am to get such good FOOD IN MY MESSAGES??? THIS IS SO FUCKING DELICIOUS IM LIVING FOR EVERY OUNCE OF IT THANK YOU FOR SENDING ME THIS STUFF!!!
god this makes me realize just how much i miss roleplaying too!! i just realized. i looooove building ideas hehehe
+ you know, i actually misread this at first and imagined *stone* being the one who was overworked and his brain was fried. almost literally. and it turns into him having a bad day. and not working at his optimal level, and robotnik snapping at him out of some kind of blend of jealousy and resentment. and stone just sighing and his eyebrows getting all furrowed and mad at both the doctor and himself, annoyed that he's annoyed, annoyed that he can't think straight. and then robotnik realizes that STONE is the one who *he* hasnt maintained as well as he should have. his most precious creation and he hasn't even bothered to make sure he was caring for himself. because stone had been too busy caring about the doctor to bother. stone hasn't had an update or a recharge in a WEEK and he hasn't been restarted for his monthly update in TWO months. so far behind. so desperately running on outdated software.
i imagine robotnik just sighing out a lone curse word under his breath. sweeping stone up before lightly pressing two fingers to wherever it is the manual override button on stone lies--and stone's conscious being is still awake for every second of manual override, btw, he just can't willfully move his body anymore. stone can't speak, can't blink, can't even breathe for the moments robotnik invades his brain. so that robotnik can tune him up. reset him just perfectly. adjust his parameters, since he's been left so carelessly unmaintained. the doctor is in complete control, his natural element.
(and i'm corny. stone is in his natural element too--which is love.)
(🤮💕)

About Raising Stakes and Killing Relatability -or how to deescalate your emotional investment.
Have you ever read of the saying "three dead people are a tragedy; three thousands are a statistic"?
What do I mean by that?
Oftentimes, when you have a big franchise, or a long lasting series, the authors tend to think that the only way to bring more feelings into the tale is to keep escalating the stakes, to make the risks bigger, the consequences of failure higher.
"We're no longer destroying the house, but the city! No longer the city, but the continent. No! THE PLANET!!! THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!!"
And the writers feel very proud of themselves, because what's a higher stake than just killing all the things and destroying the Universe?
Well, just about anything else, it turns out.
How many planets have been blown up on screen these days? There was a few in the Star Wars franchise, one in the Star Trek Reboot, some Doctor Who stories, a hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy, quite a few in the MCU alone, and tbh TVTropes listed more of them than I can possibly remember
The thing is, how many of you guys have you cried when the planet got kaboom?
Not many, am I right?
If we’re entirely honest, if Spock’s mom hadn’t died in the ST reboot, few of us would even consider the destroyed planet a tragedy at all.
And yet it is.
But it’s actually not.
How many of us are able to grasp what the planet even IS?
Entire ecosystems, the unexplored depths of the ocean, the tropical forests, that hummingbird that just laid eggs, those turtle babies seeing the sea for the first time. A new bee’s first flower, a corvid rolling in the snow, a wolf howling to the moon, a rabbit munching on a clover patch, big cats sunning themselves. Mother deers bathing their newborns and watching them learn to stand and take their first steps. Bears sleeping away the winter, owls waking at night and sweeping on silent wings to hunt.
People!
That small farm in Kansas, another small farm in India, that cardboard home in Jakarta and another in L.A, That old abandoned temple in the heart of Bolivia, and the sacred ruins in Cambodia. That family that only now got their new baby. That mother who tries so hard to make ends meet alone, and make sure her kids don’t go hungry. That marine biologist who’s so happy to have finally mapped the sound of a whale song. That vet who just rescued a litter of kits.
All those small lives, interconnected, happening at the same time all over the world. We’re all part of the same thing, we all are earthlings first of all, in a way it is impossible for us to understand because we’ve never not been earthlings.
What does it mean then, to destroy a planet?
It’s technically an escalation from destroying a city or robbing a bank.
Technically.
Because that escalation is purely intellectual.
And completely unrealistic.
How many of you guys have come across one of these posts speaking about what a billion is, how much can a billionaire buy, what it concretely amounts to? How many of you have been able to grasp the sheer obscene wealth that represents?
If you tell me you have, I won’t believe you. I’m pretty sure even billionaires don’t truly understands what it represents beyond “above the law” and “nothing is impossible anymore” and “god on earth”. (which, is not a positive judgement at all, btw)
At this point, they might simply remove the number and put an ∞ instead. It’s about the same thing.
It’s a value too ridiculous and abstract for our brain to comprehend. That’s why people aren’t banging at their doors with pitchfork. Well. Not all people are.
The same thing applies to planet destroying. We see the thing on a screen and we think “that’s bad.”
What does our heart do? What do our gut say? Does it evokes in us the same soul deep horror that footage of war torn countries and broken bodies?
Does it make a deep visceral fear wake in your belly and tell you to fucking run!!?
Some dangers have been hardwired in our brains. Just the other day, I came across a hornet’s nest, and while I’m usually pretty chill about those flying, potentially-stinging, window-crashing morons, let me tell you that my gut was not at all ambiguous about my need to get the fuck out.
And yet, I certainly didn’t feel the same thing when Earth blipped out in the Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy, even though, technically, Earth annihilation is fairly more lethal than some measly hornets.
Granted it was probably played for laughs that time, the entire movie is a satire. But did the death star really feel scary because of its ‘planet-destroying’ ability?
I can only assume it doesn’t.
Do you want to know why?
Because it doesn’t mean anything. Invalid Data, brain does not compute.
Just like seeing numbers on a screen will never be as powerful enough as personal witness accounts and stories. Just as you won’t be able to grasp what a billion is worth the same way you will the ten bucks in your wallet.
If you change the scale of something, you also change the emotional impact.
Having a map of Florida tacked to your wall will not bring you back memories of your family trip to Disney World the same way your photo album will. Because the scale is human. It’s personal. It calls back feeling through your gut, it makes you laugh as you see a picture of your kid sister with half her face glued by cotton candy, or smile at the way your big brother took your hand and helped you through your fear of roller coasters because you really wanted to try them anyway.
A world map isn’t meant to bring back feelings.
This is why world destruction falls flat. It’s destroying the map of Florida and not your photo album.
And of course it falls flat. What do we care, then about so called ‘heroes’ stopping the world from destruction? Battling for the sake of the Universe?
We don’t. We can’t. What even is the Universe? That black tapestry with tiny and pretty little white dots? An immensity beyond thought and reckoning? It doesn’t mean anything anymore.
This is not even suspension of disbelief anymore! It’s just going beyond the scope of our ability to understand or care.
Because, WHY would we want to save the universe?
I mean, it’s controversial, granted. But, let me tell you, they could have obtained the exact same emotional response in the ST reboot if the thing destroyed had simply been a scientific vessel with Spock’s mom in.
The thing that makes you feel isn’t the planet. What even is a planet???
It’s the mom. Most people have a mom. Some even are moms. Some have lost a mom.
It’s one of three people in the saying above.
It’s a tragedy.
There might be three million other people who died on that planet, but we can’t care about those.
They’re a statistic.
TL:DR: Canon story writers. Please stop feeling very clever about “raising the stakes”. All you’re doing is making it impossible to care about your story.
