The one unequivocally good thing about THE BOYS and GEN V — and I know some people here will bristle at this — is that comics creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson are getting paid.

Tumblr fans generally hate Ennis because of his laddish crassness, fixation on dumb macho horseshit, and obvious contempt for American superhero comics, which is fair, but also not the point. How many literal billion-dollar Nerd Media franchises have been built on the backs of comics creators who never get so much as free tickets to the premiere, and who then get shorted on royalties when the publisher reprints or repackages their work to capitalize on newfound interest?

If you want to have an ethical stance on labor (and especially if you fancy yourself some kind of progressive or leftist), it needs to include people whose work isn't to your taste or you're not going to get anywhere.

omg top 5 of pure enjoyment…. well ones i think are fun and ones i think are good are two diff lists but there is some overlap…

1. My School President- just so much fun, the comedy is well done, the characters are fun, and i had the best time watching it. it helps im just a sucker for geminifourth as a pairing.

2. kinnporsche- unfortunately on the list. i love it so much though like its so bad but also had so much potential which makes it good but genuinely if you are watching it for the love of the game….. its amazing. plus where would i be without my beloved kinnporsche gifs <3

3. 23.5- similar to my school president, just a genuine joy to watch! it’s lighthearted and fun and two older trans lesbians side characters??? amazing, beautiful, i want more of this all the time.

4. bed friend- i just had a lot of fun watching this one. pretty basic i suppose in plot but the actors really sell me on it and it does have its strong points. plus i’ll never forget that cat ears scene what the fuck was happening….

5. moonlight chicken- cheating really bcus i wouldn’t say the viewing experience was….Joyus but man. everyone has to watch moonlight chicken i cried like a baby and li ming and heart are characters watching anything for….

special mentions bcus these are really …Something else but i watch these shows like a sporting event which is what makes it fun:

after so long without reading i got back into it! yay! i'm reading various nonfiction polish books abt topics revolving around social work, cultural anthropology, mental&physical disabilities and so on and so on :)

and to break a streak when i get overwhelmed by what i'm reading (now it's a book about domestic abuse in polish households) i've got a tome of poetry by Adam Zagajewski :) i enjoy his work a lot and he's got quite a lot of works translated to english too! so u can check him out :)

YESS i finished it!!! i thought it was lots of fun but i have to be honest... I haven't thought about it a lot since watching it? So do with that what you will... but if you want to watch park eunbin messily screaming about wanting to do illegal surgeries this show is for you.

It's also only 8 episodes so it's a pretty quick watch ^-^ I'll say it gets a little repetitive sometimes with all the flashbacks to the same 4 moments, but every time they slightly shift the focus so you keep discovering new things....

What also helps is that the 2 main characters are crazy but in different ways. cold and calculated and vindictive vs less cold but calculated and vindictive and (i hate to say this) hysterical. Soulmates in a horrible way only they understand. 2 sides of the same coin and all that but it's about neurosurgery and murder.

All in all i had a really good time watching this ^-^ There's some really tense moments and dr Choi constantly thwarting Jung Seok was really exciting... and all the murder was great! Park Eunbin with blood on her face.. WOW 😍😍
