"I found some odd mirror in the dream world, its really hard to explain since there aren't any notes on it as far as I'm aware of.... What... I can see me in it among the odd swirls... like seeing myself in an abyss... and my eyes are so... Empty... Wait- why is it walking forward? it's gripping the rim of the mirror. It- It stepped out of the mirror! it's copying my movements so, maybe if I don't do anything aggressive it will mimic that? but... Why is it reaching for my weapon? Hey- Stay back! I'm warning you-"
From the sound of the recording there might have been a scuffle, and it was dropped, you can't make out much more outside of... a voice that was mimicking the person who was recording themselves, but it was almost a whisper...
#dreamcatchers realm#nightmare#mirror#reclection#how much of it is mimicry nad how much is dark desire?#All I know is#don't look directly into it for too long

Hey, I've seen a lot of reasonable discussions about Gabe's zionism and I thought his latest comment on his initial post would be worth sharing. It was posted about 20min ago

It's not a perfect response, but I think it honestly is pretty acceptable. What are your thoughts?
thank you very much for sharing this with me! though i’m, of course, no expert on this my initial reaction to reading that is to agree with you- it isn’t perfect, but the level of self-reclection and accountability being taken by him there Is better than anything i could’ve hoped for. it’s a step in the right direction, i think, and i can only hope he continues showing this level or more of growth and education on what is happening in palestine and that his previous behavior and statements were Not acceptable. perhaps it’s the bare minimum or Veryyy close to it considering the harmful rhetoric he had been sharing, but some level of growth from that is still reassuring to witness.
#so sorry if this isn’t as eloquent as i wanted it to be i’m very tired but wanted to answer this asap!!!#also i hope i’m not coming off as too graceful Or harsh on him or anything it’s kinda like. it’s a reassuring step but i hope it isnt all#we see yk? i hope he engages in more discussion and reflection that helps him grow further and something from fob would still be nice#but still! much better than anything i was hoping for. thank you again for sharing!#asks#alittleannihilati0n

GENSHIN WITH A TEEN!CREATOR WHO IS LIKE LUZ NOCEDA PART THREE
harpy hare, where have you buried all your children?
TW: gn reader, teenager reader (ALL IS PLATONIC),maybe sm angst and a lot of spoilers abut the archons missions, reader is depressed and neurodivergent, sorry about the bad grammar
part two :D
Before falling, you remembered. You were alive.
Not like everybody, not like those of your kind. You were like them, but not enough to be one of them.
You didn't talked like them, your tonge wasn't as similar as them. You didn't looked like them, your body wasn't as similar as them.
You didn't existed like them, your whole life wasn't as similar as them.
You were different, so different to be fair.
And now a magical egg is trying to talk to you, it didn't help, at all.
"Uhm, creator? the shinny egg asked, surrounding your hands with it little black eyes staring at your traumatize soul.
You were lost on an alley of the city you arrived, you managed to scape the young adults chasing you and hide on a very dark and cold place.
"Creator you look pale, you must ask for help" it said.
"They tried to kill me!"
"No? They tried to take you down!"
"ISN'T THAT THE SAME THING?!"
So yeah, the egg you saved to be cooked by those people with... totally not horrible uniforms it was a magical egg!
Who talks, and probably it's more intelligent than you
Lost on a city that never appered in any of the maps you buy (just to put on your walls bcs it looked cool), you decided to grabe a cape you found on a box and wait until night.
When you asked for the egg name (does it has to have one?), it said that you it had to earn it, whatever that means
"You sure you want to stay here, creator (Y/n)? You can asked for a place to rest to anyone" the egg whispered on your chest, you hugging it to reach the warm it let.
"What do you mean?!, I can't just asked to anyone to let me go inside their house! they probably would call the cops or... whatever the cops are on this place and asked me for my parents for them to solve the troube I put myself into and..." you stoped your panic start to looked at the little being.
It was so calm, that little shi-
"How did you just call me?"
"(Y/n)? But that's your name isn't it!" it smiled (or tried your didn't know if eggs can actually smile)
"No, the other thing", the moon almost reached its highest point, you frowned at the magical stuff.
"Creator?" it asked, the memories of that reclect of yours at the lake crashed on your head.
"THERE THEY ARE!" you hear the same voice that was screaming at you some hours ago at your back.
"Crap!" you cried, getting under his legs in his attempt to catch you, running from those back him.
The citizen looked at you with confusion and fear, the only thing the were seeing was the knight of favonious trying to catch a teen with a rare shell.
You, a young neurodivergent; Not quite American, an LGBT teenager with a 0 in PE was running from 10 uniformed people with iron and swords who probably had many years of training to catch dangerous people… and you were winning.
Wow, adrenaline does miracles.
"They're scaping, don't lose them again" one of them shout, you were crying and hugging the egg very hard.
"Creator, over that way!" the egg said to you.
"What way?!" you couldn't breath or think correctly.
"That wa- Oh wait, were lost"
"What do you me-" you crashed into something, rather someone.
The guard grabbed you by the neck, you covered the egg with your clothes the best you could. The blow was so strong that little by little it left you unconscious.
Dang.

are you disappointed that bree newsome wants trump reclected?
Bree Newsome is a prolific tweeter and I’ve looked, but I haven’t seen anywhere where she said that she wants Trump to be re-elected. Please send me the link to the specific tweet if I’m wrong.
I understand and agree with much of what Bree has been saying on Twitter though. I mean, I dO get it. I think her major concern is that 1) in some important ways, the difference between Trump’s policies and some of Biden’s policies has not been all that great, and 2) if Biden should win (definitely not a guarantee) liberals will go right back to brunch and act as if the problem is gone and everything is “okay” again.
As far as the first point goes, you don’t need to look any further than Biden’s Title 42; or how the Biden administration literally sued to keep using Trump’s previous racist immigration policies. Not a good look. And now, you’ve got Democrats trying to out-Republican Republicans by showing how tough cruel they can be to refugees who are legally seeking asylum at the Southern border. Bottom line, the immigration policies are white supremacy-lite, and some of the changes Biden is proposing—like forcing asylum seekers to wait in another country while the government takes its sweet time with endless immigration red tape—these changes will fundamentally change America’s immigration system, for the worse.
And that’s without me even touching on how badly Biden is fucking up with Palestine.
And as for the second point, conservative Democrats have gone back to brunch once orange man gone. Remember how hard Democrats came down on the Trump administration for their poor Coronavirus response? Yet now we have the CDC basically telling people to stay their asses at work even if they’ve tested positive for COVID. WTF?? Did I mention that measles are making a comeback?? And Biden isn’t saying anything, and neither are his surrogates. And so it is perhaps this tendency towards inaction(?) that is the most significantly damaging and damning aspect that creates disaffected voters who should be motivated to get rid of Trump and Republicans writ large —in a lot of ways that matter, disaffected voters don’t see any significant differences. Sure, the stock market is doing great, but people are getting their asses kicked on a lot of day-to-day, kitchen table issues. Unemployment is down, but a lot of people still have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet.
So yeah, I won’t be dismissive or derisive about Bree Newsome. She’s making some really valid points for anyone who is willing to actually listen.
Now that all said, I think that there is something fundamentally wrong that people are missing when they say misguided things like, “We survived one Trump administration, and we can survive another one.” A lot of marginalized groups and oppressed people won’t survive a second Trump administration. They just won’t.
Because if you thought it was bad the last time, I promise you the next Trump administration won’t be anything like the last one. Last time Trump was unprepared and didn’t even expect to win, so they made rookie mistakes. That won’t happen next time. The next Trump administration will be stacked from top to bottom with diehard Trump loyalists who will ruthlessly execute his most racist policies, foreign and domestic. (See also: Project 2025).
And yes, Biden is 100% for shit on his policy of standing by Israel no matter what. People who agree with Bree think that we will, more or less, have the same kind of problems under Trump that we’re having under Biden now. Those people are what I like to call deadass wrong.
Literally EVERYTHING will become exponentially worse in a second Trump term. For everyone who isn’t a wealthy, cisgender heterosexual white male.
Just imagine America with a Republican controlled House and Senate. Goodbye Medicare and Social Security. Goodbye labor laws. So long minimum wages. See ya, state local and federal courts not totally stacked with Federalist Society judges. It was nice knowing you, “shithole” countries full of people who I love and care about.
Look, I finally figured out something that used to bother me when I first became politically aware: it bugged tf out of me whenever I heard someone say, “THIS is the most important election everrrr!! Because THIS time, democracy itself is on the line!” Pfft. I was like a lot of people I see now, saying “But that’s what you said about the last election.” The truth is, every election is pretty much life or death. Every single one. Because elections aren’t like something you do once, and then afterwards everything is all good forever and ever. Maybe it should be, but you got assholes like Mitch McConnell and Ron DeSantis and Trump and whoever comes after them, you got people who will always be trying their hardest to constantly make shit worse for everyone who isn’t wealthy and white. They aren’t going away. So we can’t go away either. Because the moment we checkout and go back to brunch, they get right back to working on their usual transphobic, homophobic, misogynistic, racist, bullshit culture wars.
So as long as Republicans, Libertarians and conservative “Democrats” keep punching in, we gotta punch in too.
I wanna be really clear about something here: Joe Biden has done some very good things (like capping the cost of insulin), but he has also been, in many ways (not all), a terrible “Democratic” president. Biden is far too enamored of “bipartisanship,” and reaching across the aisle (to people who do not want to compromise), and Biden is far far too enamored of the non-existent good old days™ when Republicans weren’t the evil pieces of shit that they are now, and he takes far too long to change his position on important issues. Like Palestine.
But yeah, (can’t believe I’M saying this) he’s definitely better than a second Trump term will be. And even if he’s slow to change positions, at least he can be persuaded. Trump can’t.
I’m not white and I’m not rich. I am terrified of a second Trump term. I’m basically a single issue voter now, and my issue is keeping Trump out of office and HOPEFULLY making him pay for every single law he’s broken.

Since today is the start of October and with that the return of Kirb(y)tober, I want to look back at some of last years drawings.
Prompt: Kirby
The very first one! I wasn't quite sure about the kind of style I wanted to go for since it had to be simple enough that I could continue like that for an entire month and I had just recently switched from FireAlpaca to Krita making that entire month a learning experience. Didn't help either that this was the first time in over a year I actually focused on art after having been sick for a long while again. The only thing I knew I wanted is that all drawings should be in black and white (and I guess gray too) but I was pretty loose with that. Finally talking about the prompt, I just wanted a simple piece of Kirby and Dedede being friends. Resulting in this drawing of Dedede throwing Kirby in the air!
Prompt: Mirror World
For this one, I wanted to draw Kirby and Shadow Kirby being friends and the best way to do that is by drawing them pretending their favorite knights. The background is based on Amazing Mirror's main hub.
Prompt: Dimensional Rift
Oh hey it's my first time drawing that headcanon and I really should make more. As a GalactaDad liker I want to say this would be art for that but it isn't. I just can't imagine that a Galacta that is still in crystall prison limbo would try to be someones parental figure and similar can be said about Susie. Instead I personally call this GalactaUncle content and I like that.
Fun fact: this drawing crashed my laptop close to completion
Prompt: Forgotten Land
For this one I wanted to draw Leongar because I like his design. So I drew him with Kirby and Elfilin who are trying to fit in with the beast pack. I think Leongar Kirby looks pretty cute!
Prompt: Reaper Butterfly
An obvious choice for that prompt. I wanted to draw Morpho with a scyth because I had seen art of that before and it's really cool. Including my first and (so far) only time drawing them with a cape.
Prompt: Weapon
This wouldn't be a good post reclecting on last years Kirbtober without including a Dark Meta Knight drawing. Since the prompt was weapon the focuse is on his strange sword that split Kirby into four different colored Kirbys(Kirbies?) and painted it in thier colors respectivley.
Prompt: Alternate Universe
My first time drawing cape!Susie that I did not forget about in my cape!Susie compilation. I wasn't sure what to draw for this one but I used this as an opportunity to be a little selfindulgent. I don't have anything more to say beyond what I already wrote in the original post except capes and dragons are really cool!
Prompt: Soul Boss
A bit of a strange drawing but because I drew Forgo as one of my old childhood toys (weird spongey thing that grows in water that happend to have a similar color to Forgo) I like it a lot.
I'm really curious what kind of stuff I will draw this year and if it can be compared to last years drawings. The only thing I know is that I want the style to be similar to this one. Now onto drawing day one!

Urban Outfitters
We got to visit both Reclectic and Urban Outfitters, and it was such a fun and inspiring day. Reclectic had so many vintage finds and one-of-a-kind pieces, and walking through the space felt like digging through a super curated thrift store in the best way. I loved seeing how they style everything, and it made me think about how much storytelling goes into visual merchandising. It felt personal, creative, and super thoughtful.
Urban Outfitters had a totally different energy but was just as cool to see. We got a look at how their spaces are laid out and organized. Seeing both places back-to-back really showed the contrast between curated vintage and retail. I left feeling really inspired to think more intentionally about how clothes are presented and had fun styling these looks.

Urban Outfitters
This week, we went to explore an Urban Outfitters store location here in NYC. Urban was a popular clothing chain among my peers from early teens and even now in the present day. The brand does a really amazing job of playing into a sense of youthful, relaxed and fun attitudes. They do this by playing into changing fashion trends, giving consumers the feeling of individuality and expression.
Urban Outfitters caters to a wide age demographic with their various store displays. In some areas, there are more flowy boho-chic dresses and skirts, versus other displays featuring streetwear clothes and even lingerie/underwear. Everyone can find something there that speaks to them, whether you are 13 or 25.
Within the past few years, the brand leaned into the wants of style-conscious shoppers to open "Reclectic," a concept store within the main Urban Outfitters chains that focuses on secondhand, lightly damaged, or discounted items. It is really cool to see that Urban is trying to make some changes, especially because their business model (focused on evolving trends) taps into many fast fashion practices that go against what many Gen Z people are rooting for these days.
As part of this visit, we were tasked with creating a look of our choice, styled head to toe with 5 items from the Urban Outfitters collection. I had fun putting this little outfit together because I wanted to make an outfit that I could wear for the summer coming up. I wanted to mix in pops of color from the plaid skirt and I think using all primary colors balanced out the outfit quite nicely. Of course, I had to top off the outfit with a NY Yankees baseball cap because I am in New York City after all.

Urban Outfitters
During this week's study tour, we visited Urban Outfitters in Herald Square where they just opened up a reclectic. They sell overstock of Free People, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters products. I think that this is an interesting way for a company to manage their overstock. Most places would opt to sell their product to an off-price retailer such as Tjmaxx or Marshals, however, I think it is very interesting that they made their own off-price retail store as a part of their regular store. I have been to other reclectic's before but I have never seen one be a part of the regular retail store.
I believe this is a good business strategy because it offers more accessible pricing to customers. I think it was also smart to put the store in Urban Outfitters rather than Anthropologie or Free People since Urban has the lowest price point of the three so it will attract customers who would like to shop at the other stores but offer the product at a more affordable price point.

A Visit to Urban Outfitters
I took a trip to URBANNN this week! This was my second time being in the Urban Outfitters location in Herald Square, so I was super excited to go again. Especially because of the new addition in the lower level, Reclectic Vintage! Reclectic Vintage is URBN’s approach to exploring more eco-conscious solutions for products from lifestyle brands that can’t be sold at retail. These lifestyle brands include Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters, and Nuuly. So, there were a lot of great options to choose from when creating my look.

My customer is attending a music festival this summer. They’re looking for an exciting outfit, one that plays with texture, pattern, mixing fabrics and garments that aren’t usually paired together, and mixing statement/fashion pieces with statement/fashion pieces. As I moved further into the store, I noticed the leopard print basketball shorts, so I grabbed them immediately. They’re comfortable and breathable but fashionable, so I knew they’d be perfect for my customer. As I kept exploring the store, I went down to Reclectic, where I found the rest of the outfit! I saw the black top and thought it’d be such a fun statement piece to add to the outfit, so I snatched it up. Next was accessories! I found a perfect belt; it felt light but tough at the same time, adding a dangerous feel to the outfit. Then, I found black and white plaid bow clips that could be used in the hair, on clothes, etc., and gold earrings that would go perfectly with the outfit! I hope you enjoyed it!!

Urban Outfitters
This week for study tour we went to one of the largest Urban Outfitters in the nation! As a born and bread midwesterner I am not very used to this large of a retail space and I must say I think they did an excellent job with their visual merchandising and styling of not only the clothing but the general layout of the store. Even though there was three floors packed full of merchandise it never felt congested or confusing - I knew exactly where I was and where I wanted to go next because my eye was constantly drawn to things in my path. They also had somewhat themed areas of the store; Like are you walked in and went past the entrance there was an alcove full of flowing spring silhouettes: sun dresses, midi skirts, blouses, etc and then the next area you moved too was all more athletic and causal with baby tees and matching athletic sets. It was very refreshing to be in an Urban Outfitters and not feel overwhelmed by the layout and options, which is a pattern I've noticed in several different URBN stores.
This location also featured Urban's new thrift store, Reclectic! There are several locations of this new retail space in places such as Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Herald Square (NYC), Philadelphia, and Tempe. Reclectic features pre-loved clothing items from several different URBN stores not only including Urban Outfitters, but Free People, and Anthropologie as well. It is mostly women's apparel with a limited mens section, but make sure you absolutely love something before you make your purchase as there are no fitting rooms and all sales are final! Which, as someone who has worked in a major chain thrift store for 5 years, I think is a terrible rule. When you have no fitting rooms offering some sort of return is a good way of keeping a customer base, whether its store credit or simply an exchange. Because although the clothing is cheaper, with inflation and tariffs coming into play people are going to be very wary of what they're spending their money on so taking a $20 risk might be too much to bother with. Just something for them to think on, I am curious to see how that rule will change over the next 4 years.
The pictures I included are of my favorite things I saw throughout the store - the iridescent dress is from Reclectic while the shoes and the press-on nails are from Urban Outfitters.

This week I had the chance to visit Urban Outfitters and their sister store, ReClectic, it was such a fun experience. I’ve always loved exploring Urban Outfitters. It has the perfect mix of trendy and nostalgic, I feel like there’s always something new to find whether it’s fashion, home, or random little gifts. But what really stood out to me this time was checking out ReClectic. It’s their curated vintage and secondhand concept, and it has such a cool vibe. Everything felt super unique.
What made the trip even better was the price variety between the two stores. Urban has a mix of higher-end trend pieces and more affordable basics, while ReClectic really leaned into budget-friendly finds without sacrificing style. As a college student constantly trying to look cute without draining my bank account, that’s a huge win. I actually ended up making a couple of purchases I’m really excited about.
The contrast between Urban and ReClectic was actually refreshing. While Urban Outfitters has built its identity on staying ahead of the curve with edgy, youth-driven trends, ReClectic felt like a more sustainable, laid-back approach to shopping more one-of-a-kind, less mass-produced. I think the balance between the two stores gives shoppers way more freedom to express themselves and shop how they want, whether that’s splurging on a statement piece or snagging a vintage gem. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Today we went to the Urban Outfitters flagship store. URBN is a corporation that owns Anthropologie, Free People, Nuuly, and Urban Outfitters. Urban Outfitters offers clothing primarily for high school to college aged adults. Their style can be described as vintage inspired with a little bit of boho and hippie feel.
This Urban store currently has an “outlet” for Urban Outfitters and the sister brands on the bottom level of the store. It has recently been trending on social media so I was very exited to check it out. I shop a lot from Free People and Anthropologie so I was exited to see some sale items in the outlet section called Reclectic.
Our assignment was to photograph 5 key wardrobe pieces and pick one out of the five to build an outfit around. The five pieces I chose were a denim mini skirt with two pockets in the front, a cream boho halter dress, a lighter wash barrel jean, and gray baby doll knit top, a cream knit top with gathered lace long sleeves. I chose to build the outfit I was styling around the denim mini skirt. For the outfit being styled the customer is looking for something cute, trendy, but casual for a coffee date. I styled this denim miniskirt with an off the shoulder camo crew neck, patent silver sneakers with a patent silver shoulder bag, and a classic baseball cap.

Honestly, I am kind of afraid of how they will write the characters because, although I somewhat agree they write characters really well, I feel like, when they first introduced Lanzhu, the community backlash was so strong that her resolution (in SIFAS, at least) felt a little bit rushed 😓 And they kind of "tunned down" both her and Shioriko in the anime – I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume it was because of SIFAS’ reaction
As for atmosphere 🤔 I'm expecting something Blue Reflection-ish vibes? Especially the anime, but not exclusively…
No I agree completely, Lanzhu was done so dirty imo in regards to her story (and a lot of other things). I won't lie though, I knew how bad the community would react to her so I blocked a lot of love live related tags at the time and because I don't venture outside of tumblr mutuals, I don't think I saw a lot of the backlash because of that. What I will say is that (if the show starts as an anime) then they can't really change the plot of that. Plus people are expecting this series to be more serious so maybe the reaction could be less aggressive? But this could just be my optimism.
However, I will say that I don't think love lives characters are as good as my pervious post would suggest, especially as serious traits are often treated as jokes (ie Hanamaru, Hayano, Yoshiko/Yohane, Nozomi, ect) and while I do think this has gotten slightly better as the years have progressed, I fear that the humor may fall a bit flat still. Also I do think some interesting characters are often overlooked or just not shown enough, especially within larger groups which I know will probably happen again here.
Also BLUE RECLECTION MENTIONED! I am not expecting love live to become a magical girl anime, but I do think about Hinako when ever I hear anyone talk about bluebird, for some reason. I don't know if they will do this, but atm my internal plot for bluebird involves one character who was injured and wishes to dance or maybe even sing again.
As a side tangent, I'll admit that I havent finished blue reflection so idk how Hinako's disability is handled in the end, but her story is very important to me. Although I wish they had incorporated a mobility aid/hadn't completely healed her disability in her magical girl form- I will somewhat defend it because it makes sense with her characters desires to not be disabled. However because love live isn't a fantasy anime, idk how they would handle a physical disability in a way that doesn't rely upon tropes I personally don't like- IF they even include one at all.
