I feel like if Chujin was still alive during the events of Undertale Yellow, his and Clover's relationship would be incredibly rocky. Pacifist!Clover could bring him around to tolerating them (after all, they have that sort of effect on everyone), but it would be more in a "this human is the only 'good' human" manner than a "maybe I should reevaluate my opinions on humans overall because you can't judge an entire group based off (very biased) stories and one bad experience." Even then, that opinion would be subject to change should Clover ever get frustrated or behave "too aggressively" or act in any manner that isn't perfectly docile. If Clover ends up attacking a monster then it's "humans are just as horrible as they were in the war stories, I should've known better" regardless of the circumstances that could've pushed Clover to fight. Suffocating expectations and endless demands for patience when he wouldn't ask the same of a fellow monster.

And heaven forbid he ever meet Clover on a No Mercy Run...

I'm actually not as upset about Robo-Ky being in Venom's set as I thought I'd be, largely because his arc is happening right around the start of his bakery. While I'm certainly sad that we probably won't have Robo-Ky as a playable character, I am excited to see what they do with him and Venom. From the trailer alone they're doing more with Venom's character than I thought they would, so I'm hopeful that the same will happen to Robo-Ky despite him being a plus one to Venom in Strive

don't mind my self indulgence but uhh Touya being healed with the combination of rapidly evolving technology, healing quirks and Endeavor's funding to the point it's like the fire on Sekoto never happened. he looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize the person that looks back at him. the burns were such an intrinsic part of him, even before he became Dabi, even before he woke up sixteen years old with stitches all over his face, back when he was a child and trained his fire with the parts of his body that he he could easily hide under his clothes.

it's nothing like when he woke up from the coma and looked in the mirror for the first time, seeing something his mind struggled to comprehend as himself, the too-old boy with desperation in his eyes and a garish smile cut directly into his face belonging in his worst nightmare that has come true. accepting it back then was easy, the wretched feeling of brokenness following his every footstep since he was four years old. the outside matching his insides was a relief, in a twisted way, as much as it hurt to imagine his family looking at him and not recognizing Touya, as sorrowful as it was to live through that fantasy.

this- just feels wrong. he doesn't see himself in this new, unfamiliar face. what he sees is rather a mosaic of his family's features: his mother's soft white hair, his father's eyes, Fuyumi's eyelashes and Natsuo's stubborn eyebrows. the combination of so familiar but foreign features combined into a mask that was plastered on his own ruined face.

he hated that forlorn looking boy's picture sitting on his altar and he hated thinking that that's how his family remembered him. it's the very same boy's older face that he sees in the mirror.

Touya was never this pitiful, desolate boy. he was always burning, even when the others couldn't see it. being stuck with this hurts worse than being faced with the consequences of his reckless self-abandoning training.

and worst of all, he knows that if he ever starts using his quirk, the cremation process will start all over again.

ive been assigned to be the dedicated assistant of another department in addition to my current duties in admin which doubles my workload like how am i rewriting 200 page reports with 0 context and very little intro to what the department even does meanwhile i still have to do all my stupid regular bullshit which would be fine except im on a baby salary below living wage and im not allowed to get a raise until a YEAR from now because of org regulations like i’ve essentially been promoted without actually getting to be promoted so what do i even do about that

Ohhhh, I don’t know, couldn’t imagine it at all…

Okay, I kinda was. Sort of. Little bit. Olympics little bit.

There’s a huge amount of pressure at that level of any sport - you’ve gotta love it to survive. Sometimes I really miss it. I’d love to be able to compete in the pool like I used to, although I’m pretty sure I’d get my tail handed to me by the new gang of teenagers on the block these days.

How do you relax after a stressful day?

In a totally surprising answer given the previous, the pool. That’s my first port of call to burn off steam. Something to be said for the burn of lactic acid in making everything seem a little better…

We are really good at coming together for a bit of a team debrief when there’s been a harder rescue, or one that hasn’t quite gone to plan. Family movie nights are good for this too!

What does being a man mean to you?

For clarity, I’m not a big fan of societal pressure to be ‘x’ on anybody. I’m not really sure this is ‘being a man’ and not just ‘being a good human’ but… I guess it’s something and if my Kansas starts showing, somebody smack me.

I guess this comes from my family, and it’s easy to sum up with two words, one from each of parents - kindness and integrity.

Having kindness, compassion, empathy for everything around you, especially other people but also the rest of the planet. Helping others, without judgement. Protecting people and things more vulnerable than you are, in any way, and putting others’ needs before your own when you need to. You can be big and strong and tough and brave… but being gentle, soft hearted, caring and not being afraid of showing how you feel is just as important.

Also spreading a little happiness where you can. Finding the silver linings and the bright sides, making people laugh, lifting the mood.

Integrity - knowing who you are, and what that means. The weight of your word, and the importance of keeping it. Taking responsibility for your actions, being honest, not being afraid to speak up for what you know is right. Doing the right thing, even when it’s the hard thing and especially when no one is looking. Having the courage to face your fears, and to face yourself.

People really love this question, huh? This is like the sixth one…

I think the expected ‘Tracy boy’ answer here is five sons, right? Not my answer, before I get quoted. We’re gonna need a lot of Thunderbirds if that’s the case for us all.

Given that, thanks to the roll of the universe’s dice, it isn’t me doing the difficult part of having said children, I don’t really think the final word rests with me. It’s a decision you make together, right?

But sure, yeah to kids one day (maybe five, maybe not). Why? Eh, why would I not want to continue my reign of terror by procuring smaller versions of myself to spread only more chaos around the world?

Okay, okay, that’s the flippant answer. The real answer’s selfish (I think most answers to this probably are though, right?). My family is everything to me, and I guess it would be nice to get to pass all that love on. Having this little soul that’s a piece of you and a piece of the person you love the most, and getting to nurture them and love them and watching them turn into their own amazing person, and everything that comes with that, sounds like my sort of adventure.

Plus an excuse to be a big kid and tell dad jokes forever more? Bingo, Gordon’s sold.

Those ridiculously intelligent and caring people that work at hospitals (also included in the fear) and all the crazy things they do (like save lives, but does it need to be with sharp pointy things?)

Also giant lizards. Yes, those ones. Nope, no thanks. I can love the planet and all her inhabitants from a distance. A big one.

If you had the day off with nothing to do, how would you spend it?

Pool then beach. Lying in a hammock. Drinking pineapple juice. Topping up my tan. Catching a wave or ten. Diving a reef. World’s most perfect sandwich. Hope that my favourite people are around to bother for a while for a hug or ten. Long night-time, starlit, Tracy Island beach walk with one of them in particular.

I HATE how the UTY fandom seems to consistently depict Integrity as black. All we know about Integrity is that they were a violent child and they got their head blown off (we don't know anything about them as a person, not even their name/appearance) and yet it's a running theme for people to make them black in fan content.

If your first thought upon modeling an OC/character after someone who's known to be violent is to make them black, then you need to sit with that thought and think for a moment why that is.

i know i don't shut up about it but i think it really truly says something about link's nature as a whole that the four of them got attached to shadow so ridiculously fast. vio at least had the excuse of hanging out with him for however long it was but it was still indicative of that same nature that he quite literally accompanied shadow in burning down a good portion of hyrule's lands and STILL quietly mourned him after they'd "killed" him. but then you have the most obvious examples of blue and green getting so unbelievably distraught when shadow "died for real this time (he did not die for real this time)" after interacting with him in a manner that wasn't "trying to murder each other" for a grand total of like. five minutes. ten minutes tops.

shadow helps them out exactly one time (and really you could see it as him just doing the bare minimum to clean up the mess he created by getting link to release vaati in the first place) and suddenly the links as a whole are like "FORGIVEN!" and if "making friends" was a button they all started hitting it so hard that it broke. shadow was like "still doesn't make me part of the body :(" and green speaking for all of them was like What the fuck are you talking about. Of course it does. We're friends. and by god is that going to influence everything that happens after the manga. like no matter what issues themselves arise between link and shadow that they're gonna have to work through (namely: vio's betrayal) if anyone ever tries to tell him that shadow still poses a threat to hyrule as a whole and he's an enemy and should be taken out then link is just gonna hit them with some flavor of this and that's gonna be the end of the conversation:

do you feel like buster bros is behind the other divisions in terms of character development? not that im saying didnt get anything at all, im just seeing other people complain that theres still a lot of questions left unanswered (like as to why ichiro wants nothing to do with rei/why he lied about rei to jiro and saburo in the first place)

y’know, i’d love to like, hear why this is a common thought about bb honestly. bc what you just used as examples are proof there’s still more to the yamada story despite all that we’ve been shown and further plot developments aren’t a bad thing????

like sure we don’t know why rei left his kids behind yet, but he did and that at its base, ignoring whatever mystery is left between rei and ichiro about nayuta, is enough to justify ichiro taking himself and his bros to an orphanage; they needed to be able to survive. why should ichiro tell his bros the father who left them is alive when he, in ichiro’s eyes, didn’t want anything more to do with them????

the orphanage director at the time was like a father to the bros, by ichiro’s words, so when ichiro’s inevitably betrayed by all parties around him and loses his brother’s trust in the process, he begins to only trust himself and that’s the crux of everything bb has gone thru since the start of the series; ichiro believes only in himself has a hard time placing trust in others and it’s dragged down everyone around him. my generation, the recent bb track, put a close to this particular arc for the bros, ichiro’s willing to let go and they can all further flourish. and that’s just ichiro’s arc, we can go all day about the inherited issues and how ichiro passed a lot of those hang ups to his brothers that they’ve been working themselves to unpack and unlearn (jiro not relying on others, saburo’s performance anxiety, etc)

and why just bb???? 😭😭😭😭 we’re getting an entire play to talk about juto’s backstory bc that is something that hasn’t been expanded upon, we don’t know the origins of the ramuda project or what exactly happened to niitaro, yotsutsuji still isn’t awake, neither is nayuta and kuukou arguably has the most unexplored background of the leaders at the very least. so why does bb get the flack for ‘lack of character development’ based on unknowns that the story’s just taking its sweet time getting to???

Rewatching Parks and Rec and while I enjoy it still I would say it hasn’t aged badly so much as it’s aged WEIRD.

Example: I’d forgotten that Leslie is deeply sexually interested in Joe Biden
