Animals, Vol. 14, Pages 2379: Novel Candidate Genes Involved in an Initial Stage of White Striping Development in Broiler Chickens

White striping (WS) is a myopathy characterized by the appearance of white stripes parallel to the muscle fibers in the breast of broiler chickens, composed of adipose and connective tissues. This condition causes economic losses and, although common, its etiology remains poorly understood. Hence, the objective was to identify genes and biological mechanisms involved in the early stages of WS using a paternal broiler line that grows slightly slower than commercial ones, at 35 days of age, through the #RNA sequencing of the pectoralis major muscle. Thirty genes were differentially expressed between normal and WS-affected chickens, with 23 upregulated and 7 downregulated in the affected broilers. Of these, 14 genes are novel candidates for WS and are implicated in biological processes related to muscle development (CEPBD, DUSP8, METTL21EP, NELL2, and UBE3D), lipid metabolism (PDK4, DDIT4, FKBP5, DGAT2, LIPG, TDH, and RGCC), and collagen (COL4A5 and COL4A6). Genes related to changes in muscle fiber type and the processes of apoptosis, autophagy, proliferation, and differentiation are possibly involved with the initial stage of WS development. Ready for good news everyone?!?! Treatment has been working!! Sadly, I just found out that the cancer had spread to my bones while I was in covid hiatus waiting to start chemo. Fortunately, the type of chemo that I was put on also treats the bones. All of the tumors have shrunk significantly after 6 treatments on taxol along with the supportive IV’s, hyperbaric oxygen, Ozone therapy and Haelan 951. My oncologist was quite surprised at how well I’ve been responding to treatment. She’s putting me on one more round of taxol (6 more chemo treatments) before switching over to hormone therapy and potentially two immunotherapies to deal with the cancer stem cells and daughter cells. Future radiation treatments are a possibility as well as a bone marrow transplant. More good news!! Before starting chemo, I took a very comprehensive genetic test called the RGCC test. This test literally tells you pretty much everything you need to know about your specific type of cancer. I basically know which chemos are the most effective for me by percentage, potential cancer adaptability rate to chemos and what traditional and holistic treatments are the most effective. It’s turns out anything really oxidative and hormone focused is very effective against the cancer I’m battling. It’s 94% hormone driven. Very little insulin driven. So the Haelan 951 is incredibly effective as well as the high dose IV Vitamin C, the hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and the Ozone therapy I’ve been doing in conjunction with chemo. Normal circulation tumor cells for a patient as advanced as I am are usually around a 4.5- 5.5 which is high risk for further metastases. But my circulating cells are pretty low at 2.5 which is basically REALLY effin good. Also surprised the doc with that one. The main thing we are watching for is the cancer building resistance to the chemotherapy. Over all things are looking good and I am so thankful. Thank you so much everyone for the love and support!! Treatment with high-dose Vitamin-C slowed the growth and spread of prostate, pancreatic, liver, colon, malignant mesothelioma, neuroblastoma, and other types of cancer cells.

Combining high-dose Vitamin-C with certain types of chemotherapy may be more effective than chemotherapy alone.

Combining high-dose Vitamin-C with radiation therapy killed more glioblastoma multiforme cells than radiation therapy alone.
