Ever since I finished Andor, I've been thinking about Kleya. Thinking about her being on Yavin when the first death star explodes. Thinking about her evacuating from Hoth among the AT-AT walkers. Thinking about her, standing in the Ewok village at the end of Return of the Jedi, watching the fireworks, and quietly feeling Luthen's presence standing there with her with her, quietly telling him that the sunrise has finally come.

This is why the genocide and subsequent erasure of the Jedi went so smoothly! The Imperial propaganda department (formerly the Republic propaganda department and firmly under Palpatine's thumb) was a steamroller that left no room for any voice, any opinion, any POWER other than the one that could be neatly packaged and used for the glory of the Empire.

the one good thing about filoni probably not adapting anything from the canon books is that we'll never have a tv show butcher eli vanto's casting and character. like at least we have that morsel of peace. eli vanto is too brilliant of a character to be taken out of the obscurity of books and comics and exposed to this much potential mishandling and subsequent scrutiny
