❪ TRAINEE INFORMATION ❫

was a contestant on the mnet global audition: season 1, contestant #007, in the end was scouted by royal entertainment along with several other finalists during the finale, became an official trainee on january 8th, 2014. 

caught in a minor scandal with fellow trainee, jung daehyun ( @/rkdaehyun ), it was quick to die.

participated as a public trainee in a royal q&a session.

auditioned and was casted on october 21, 2014 as ha sohyun in the television drama, dream high, as well as engaged in the promotion and concert.

performed as a dancer in a company performance and as a back-up singer with fellow trainee, @/rkdaehyun, for kim taewoo at sbs gayo daejun held on december 29, 2015 at the coex mall.

auditioned for a part as one of the ‘coaches’ on the mnet global audition: season 3, and was casted and revealed as royal’s sole coach during the third episode. in the final episode, team naeun finished in third place.

appeared in the samsung galaxy a7 commercials: team #be balanced.

cast as a contestant on royal survival, was placed on the minor team in the first episode. as the season progressed, she made it to the major team during the third episode and eventually, finished the show as one of the finalists slotted to debut in the new royal group, luxe.

signed an exclusive six year contract with royal entertainment for luxe, making her contract in january null as this contract signs her and exclusively binds her to luxe for six years as of july 18, 2018 ; ( end date: 2024 ).

` a first for everything

( 9:30 pm. she came in way too early and to kill the time, she first roamed around the music shop below the building doremi is located at. truth be told, she was just nervous about her first vocal lessons. her singing abilities used to never bother her, but lately, as her aspirations goes a notch higher, she has become conscious of how far she can go. from what she's heard, she's not particularly bad but she's not strong enough to establish something. when the clock read ten minutes to time, she fixed the straps of her backpack, walking up the stairs to the studio. pushing the door open, entering, bowing her head down to the first person she sees. ) hello!

second impressions ; daehyun&key

Now that Key is finally getting comfortable at Royal, he knows that he needs to start making some closer friends in the company. He's going to debut with some of the other male trainees, but so far he's only grown close to a few of the girls: Jieun especially, but also Jihyun and Mina. However, he and Joey really hit it off when Key met Tomato, so he hopes to get to know Joey better now. 

There are still plenty of other guys in Royal, though. Hongbin, for one, who Key knows mostly as an acquaintance (?) after doing the few scenes they had together in Dream High; in fact, they were the only scenes Key had to do at all. There's also Luhan, but even though they did go out for drinks that one time, they haven't had much of a chance to get to know each other either.

And then there's Daehyun. Key's brow furrows at the thought of him; their relationship has been rocky since before Key joined the company. He first met the other when Daehyun showed up unannounced at Key and Youngjae's apartment, apparently looking for Youngjae, who oh-so-conveniently hadn't been home at the time. Key supposes he must have been really tired or just in a particularly bad mood that day, because when Daehyun left the apartment, Key certainly did not have a good first impression of him. He figures he was probably pretty rude towards the other that day, too, because ever since they've hardly spoken and have had a cold attitude towards each other.

Kibum thinks it's time to change that. 

That's why when the dance instructor tells them to pair up and work on the choreography individually, Key heads straight for Daehyun, hesitating a moment behind the other before tapping his shoulder lightly. "Uh...hi," he says once his sunbae has turned around. Clearing his throat, Key shifts his feet awkwardly, finding this to be much more difficult than he thought it would be.

It had been all too long since Hanbin last saw Daehyun in flesh. It wasn't too long ago when Hanbin was just browsing the channels and saw his friend's face on the television screen. He blinked a few times, unsure if it was actually the Daehyun he knew long ago. Of course, it took patience before waiting for replies because the older was busy with all the filming during that time, but eventually, he responded and they talked via the internet. 

Finally, they agreed to meet up and everything was pretty calm on both sides so it was perfect timing. So, there Hanbin was, waiting in front of Miss Lee Cafe as he tapped on his phone screen. He was unsure to say where they should have met up but the Cafe had less people during the weekdays. Hanbin trailed his eyes over the people passing by and as he saw someone who Hanbin is pretty sure Daehyun is, he quickly walked towards him

"senpaaaaaaaai!" Hanbin screamed, high toned as he imitated a fan girl's voice.

(' there's some awkwardness in his voice and he's even hesitant after watching everything that unfolded during the party and all the cool presents Daehyun got but he's confident in what he got so when they walk inside the house, he knows they're heading somewhere else by the way his friend is pulling his hand, giving Jongin enough time to pick his training bag and the box he brought earlier from home) I hope you like it though.

• break the ice ; naeun & daehyun

it was about the afternoon that saturday, a couple hours before her lesson with her teacher that she came around to the cafe. she needed a warm drink, her usual tea before she needed to head towards the building of her lessons which was close by. seeing how it had always been recommended to drink warm beverages before singing, here she was prepping her voice for her lesson, not wanting to put things to waste as she had hoped to hear herself improving over the time that she had been in that certain lesson. a breathing class that helped her ease up to be able to know how to reach the higher and even the lower notes that she had a hard time working on, considering how she found herself easily losing air, her chest tightening when it came to certain points of the song. she was thankful enough that she stumbled onto her current training spot. if not, she probably wouldn't have learned how messed up she was at singing certain songs and how she wasn't exactly the best with her techniques yet.

it was that same gratitude that had her being able to come around and meet up with her teacher, daehyun. he had offered to meet her outside of class, letting her know that it was something that he did with his students, wanting them as comfortable as possible with him. after all, if one was pretty tense in class, they wouldn't be able to showcase something great before them after all. it would be holding back on what else she could learn from him, to be able to discover things that even she wasn't aware of doing just yet. he was there for that as well. she was a bit nervous of doing this though, considering how she wasn't completely comfortable with him, despite already attending a few classes with him. it had just been a bit of a habit of hers, being so silent, completely different from how she would be around her peers. at the same time, he thought of this to be something that  could probably be of help to her, knowing that she did want to be able to perform great in his lessons.

for now, she could put her worries aside and allow herself to be put into thoughts of simply waiting for her teacher. who knew? maybe this would work out better than she had expected.

chasing cars

they're nearly the same age but tiffany forgets at times because she relies on daehyun, because his voice always soothes her and she swears he has an ability to calm her down when she doesn't even realize she needs it. he's daered leader but she forgets how easy it is to follow him until she hears him speak, until she hears him sing. jokingly, she tells him that he's sunbae — though he is leader after all — because he did sign with royal before she even auditioned the first time around in seoul but, in retrospect, she honestly means it. daehyun is her image of an honest man, that's what she thinks when they talk even if the moments are few and fleeting, sparse in between but the potency of his words linger all the same. 

the phone rings and she's unsure if she expects him to answer when it's late, barely catching a glimpse of the time before she found his name and pressed the call button. she waits, hums, rolls over in her bed, prince padding along her bed and drawing a chuckle from lax lips until there's a distinct click — a connection, like one she finds with him. "i can't sleep. sing for me."

nuts and cupcakes with daehyun and jihyun

a twist of the key has her entering her apartment; soft muffles are made at the noise of the door scuffing the entryway mat. she doesn't see it at first so she continues on, letting daehyun in behind her before closing the door, locking it for safety measures. "hm, did you want some water, soju, juice?" jihyun made her way into her kitchen, pulling the sleeves of her pullover up to her elbows as she opened her fridge for the glass canister containing the water, knocking over a few apples in her way before obtaining it and closing the refrigerator door with her hip. taking a cup from the drying rack, she pours the water before sealing it off and setting it down, a few sips for the taste and then she's out of the kitchen and turning to see daehyun and domo in the most compromising of positions.

the white little furball in the most indecent positions that she's ever seen him in and hell, she hadn't even seen him do that to her (yet). "yah, domo-ah!" the surprising screech has the male dog stopping mid-hump, legs curled around daehyun's foot as his small neck turns to look at his owner. "yah," setting down her glass, jihyun immediately hustles towards the dog in which the white puff sets off, pulling his small body from daehyun to run around the room in a crazed state. "oh my god, daedae, i'm sorry. he's never done that before."
