A meet-cute with a member (or all!) of the 141 where they come across you when you've been walking your dog, and she refuses to walk any further. She's only 40lbs*, but you're still struggling to carry her back home, and you keep having to stop and take breaks and gasp for air.

Cue 1 or more buff military dudes laughing, swooping in, and scooping up your dog as they ask you where you live. You try to insist it's no big deal and you can do it, but your dog is very happy in his arms and licking his face while he laughs, and you just end up helplessly following behind him while he jokes and carries your pup like she weighs absolutely nothing.

He/They definitely note down your address when you all arrive home, sneaking your dog a piece of jerky and bidding you farewell with a smile. He's/They're already planning to find out your dog-walking route, so he/they can "run into" you again.

idea for a witcher/homestuck AU. ciri goes to fight the white frost and seemingly defeats it, but something isnt right about it, and for some reason at the center of it all she finds some sort of game with complex instructions right there. she kind of tells herself that it was leftover from some other traveler, who came to the center of all that is to destroy entropy and found themselves lacking, leaving behind only scraps of who they were. but it seems so pristine... could it really be that...? whatever it is, she feels oddly compelled to play it. perhaps as homage to a soul that was lost clutching a game and thinking of joyful times with their family.

(there is no stopping the white frost. entropy cannot be fought back. but how is she to know? when avallac'h told her otherwise? is it so wrong to dare to hope?)

the game is called something silly, like hmlet(like sburb but instead its. hamlet.)

everyone is already gathered, so when they all slink off to nurse their bruises, when theyre all still together, she brings out the game. eskel thinks its a bit grim. lambert thinks its grim, so he's completely behind it. they shuffle through the confusing rules as the first icy, frozen meteor falls far, far away, on the other side of a world that's yet to be fully circumnavigated.

Finally made her go home, she didn’t want to but she didn’t immediately try to come out again either so she was cool with it. It’d been a full hour (all other reptiles I’ve met are cool with handling for perhaps twenty minutes at most) so I couldn’t feel too bad about it. I was just surprised she still showed no sign of slowing down after so long wandering around.

Me - *sighs and fetches the scrubbing bubbles. Proceeds to kill the roach when it leaves the safety of underneath the bed with the handy cleaning supplies*

Anyway, I always use Scrubbing bubbles (or it's off brand equivalents) instead of Raid for roaches because a.) it is super effective and faster than Raid imo and b.) it doesn't make the room reek of poison, which is great when you want to sleep in that room after murdering the roach. Also c.) wipe away the roach with a paper towel and the floor is clean - Raid doesn't clean the floor as it kills the roach, Scrubbing Bubbles does

And, yes, my dog was watching me judgmentally for killing the roach the entire time and just... she won't kill spiders for me, won't go after roaches, gets up and walks out of the room when there are cricket wasps buzzing about (because of the zappers the wasps would fly into...), completely ignores the crane flies, disdains june bugs for being drunk... honestly what kind of a hunter dog are you anyway???

Tootsie would have killed the roach for me. She killed a hornet wasp for me once. That little doxie was a good little bug killer. It's times like these I miss her bug killing skills.
