The roboticization machine(s) from SATAM/Underground exists in my AU. (As you can see my version is more like a torture game of opperation) It was used prolifically between the events of sonic 1 up to shortly before the events of Sonic Adventure. Eggman has one left, hidden for if he ever catches Sonic. Julie-Su was one of the first victims of the machine. However, she was one of the few fortunate to survive as well, because Sonic crashed through Scrap Brain, where the machines were held. She managed to break free once the place was trashed, since the machines had become faulty. However, those of her tribe who were also brought there had already been failed experiments, and died. So she ran off, not knowing where she was going, but it was certainly away from there. She had no idea where she was, so she couldn't just return to Mystic Ruins like she wanted to. Luckily, she runs into Mighty and Ray. She didn't want to join them at first, not exactly trusting people at that moment in time, for good reason, but decided it was the best option. As it turns out they ended up turning into her two closest friends despite the initial language barrier, so it was a win, and she's glad she didn't try to take the world on alone. (Then ofc later, the three run into the people who will eventually all make the chaotix) She eventually does return to Mystic Ruins (During the events of the Chaotix) but remembers that despite her tribe still remaining, she no longer has her own family there. They're gone. So she decides to tag along with the Chaotix instead. They all butt heads sometimes, but she loves her new family.

I was reading this sonic x remake fanfic called chaos on earth.... You guys need to read it it is great 👍

And the writer added the roboticizer in the story and one scary moment/part is when dr eggman roboticized Chris.... Now while I was reading that part I was imagining what Chris would look like when roboticized.... He would kinda look like mecha Sally from the Archie comics with a little bit of uncle Chuck when he was roboticized and mecha sonic when sonic was roboticized in that one Archie comic issue.

Again go read the fanfic it's really good 👍

Wait…Robians are still organic on the inside, underneath a robotic shell? I, uh…I never knew that. Guess you can add “Cybernetic Body Horror” to the list of reasons roboticization is one of the most terrifying sci-fi ideas ever…

Well, I should correct myself there, we don't know for sure if *all* the organs are intact.

It would make sense if the support organs (heart, lungs, stomach, etc.) are roboticized in order to suspend their physical needs. However if they're able to gain control back, at least their brains have to still be intact.

Keep in mind that it is confirmed that they're still aware of what's going on around them. If their brains were also roboticized, then I would imagine that the process would make the Robians unconscious, like they're in a coma. In that case if it just locks their consciousness, it would make it to where they can't remember anything past the Roboticization process. Or if it completely rewrote their entire being, then they would be amnesiac.

A little headcanon of mine is that Robotnik is able to control the Robians by hijacking the electrical activity in their brain and manipulating it to where he can order the body to however he pleases. The Robians know he's doing this, they're aware of tasks that he's ordering them to complete, but their body is no longer its own. He's basically using their bodies like puppets to carry out his orders and build his regimen.

It's definitely very chilling once you dig deeper into the concept. I also find it disturbing because there isn't much known about the process besides the bare bones of it. All we know is that they know what's happening, and typically there isn't anything if they can do about it unless they have a Power Ring, or if they develop enough discipline to fight the programming. So a lot of it is left up to the imagination.

Which honestly I wish there was more of this concept in other media. It's such a unique horror concept! >:D

Working on something i started more than half a year ago, have this fucking ancient wip I'm reviving from the dead cause i wanna give my other timelines some more attention, cause, Neutral has like 50 pieces in it and my other timelines don't even have a fraction of that, some are lucky to even have more than two pieces to their name.

This is the Hopeless timeline, btw. A SATAM/Underground based timeline.

I don't have a lot of lore written for this timeline, but what i do have publicly available is on my Deviantart, in the Hopeless Timeline section. Here's a rundown though, from memory.

Basically, like, Julian's been ruling a lot longer than he's supposed to. What was supposed to happen was, Eggman was supposed to take his father's place. Julian had gotten too old and went senile (AOSTH), and then died right as Eggman was starting his shenanigans. But in this timeline, Eggman is never born and Julian has remained suspiciously in his prime since the days of Underground. The royal triplets are working with the Freedom Fighters, and Robotropolis seems to be impenetrable. The events of CD and onward do not happen. Metal never gets created, instead Mecha Crys takes his place.

I'll copy and paste that into the full post when it's done and elaborate more, but, this is just a teaser.

Fitz had wanted to retire; he'd done his time at the god-forsaken circus run by Bleepo, and no-longer wanted that shady cyborg as his boss any longer. But as his manager would say; "You can take the act of Bleepo's, but not Bleepo out of the act."

Fitz now enjoys his garden-leave at the conession stand; corraling more potential meat-puppets into the stalls for his wonderous boss...

A bit of a darker piece (and #18 will follow on from that...) for today's prompt. Sure, you could argue with that its more a brain-jacking sorta thing, but meh; this is what you've got! :P
