Mark Howard and his 1948 Vincent HRD Rapide • • Perhaps one of the most important motorcycles in history. A similar but tuned one called the Black Lighting broke the world speed record by a man named Rollie Free in 1948 on the Bonneville Salt Flats, in Utah.
