heres my advice to any followers i have who are young. Don't delete things when you think you've outgrown them or they're cringy. If you make youtube videos just private them don't delete them. Save your files, you can bury them in multiple sub-folders if you think they're cringe now but DON'T DELETE THEM! It doesn't feel like it now but years in the future you will look back fondly at who you were and wish you still had those things.

i think about the scrapped camilo ending for encanto like. so often. they absolutely made the right choice not to go with it because a) this ain’t about him and b) in the time frame of the ending and needing to focus on mirabel and alma there’s no way they could’ve like. done something like that justice.

but like. this is peak. this is such an interesting and fucked up concept. and they absolutely didn’t have time for it and again this ain’t about him, it’s about my girl mirabel so like ultimately i’m glad it’s not in the movie. but fuck dude that could’ve been so good. a shapeshifter teenager with identity issues is already so fun and then having him eat shit and die AND his family doesn’t even recognize him. there’s some metaphors in there

#i really love how much detail and passion was put into encanto #like camilo is not a very important character but he’s still liek. fully fleshed out. he’s a well rounded and interesting character #just for being in the background like. it’s so good. this movie rules #i’m also glad they didn’t do this cause i really like camilos design tbh #encanto #camilo madrigal #mirabel madrigal #there’s no way they could’ve pulled this off without distracting from mirabel i agree with it wholeheartedly #they would’ve either had to brush it off in like 3 lines or completely take away from mirabel by focusing a whole side scene on camilo #so yeah. correct decision but i will be rotating it in my mind forever #image id in alt text
