you mentioned you were going to have more karai in wwww! you don't have to spoil more than you want to, but does this mean you'll be doing some rottmnt worldbuilding in general too? like, kraang as well? because if karai and draxum share parallels in their role in how the turtles grew up as weapons, maybe there could be something interesting too about sibling alien invaders who respect only strength

that aside, just rant about wwww in general :D i am already obsessed somehow you have no idea

i definitely plan on expanding on her character and her relationship with her father ESPECIALLY, mostly just through the lense of her own perception of everything that happened ... she'll be put in the plot a LOT earlier than she was in canon, so she'll have more time to bond with raph and mikey especially!

although yeah there's a parallel to be had with how leo and donnie were raised as weapons by draxum, and how raph and mikey are learning about this grand legacy to be the same kind of thing by karai. she's torn between being someone who cares so much about love and unity and being someone who values necessary sacrifice, especially because she had to do it herself. she imposes those standards on them, which is extremely similar to the way that draxum is to the twins-- and of both instances, this is behavior that's,,, situational? any other circumstances and they wouldnt have made the mistakes they end up making. but alas

as for the kraang, idk i have no plans to expand on them before their event in the story, and even then i dont know if ill continue covering things after the ending of the main story in wwww. but itd be fun if they got to learn more about things like that!

i'll definitely be doing a lot of worldbuilding expansions though! it really just depends on how the story's gonna pan out when i write it itself, but id love to go into the hidden city more!! its criminally unexplored

Rottmnt Heroes & Villains Split Siblings Au (pt 7)

Heroes v Villains v the EPF—Let's get into more of the meat of the plot

Disgusted by the way humanity despises and oppresses yokai, a young Draxum decided to mutate the world to make all people yokai/mutants, and also to take over the world to make the shift as smooth and beneficial to yokai as possible

Striving for yokai rights—good. Non-con body-modding the world, a change brought about by experimenting on humans, animals, & yokai who opposed him, & planning to seize control of the world—oof.

He managed to "rescue" Lou Jitsu, one of few humans he admired, from Big Mama. Lou (/Yoshi/Splinter) was enamored with him for this, and was taken in by Draxum's promise to change the world so that humans & yokai could live on even footing ♥️♥️

...Until he found out what Draxy wasn't telling him: the whole mutation thing.

"This would be easier with you willing, but I suppose that's not necessary"—Draxum, before locking Lou up to experiment on him.

Lou escapes & destroys his lab & takes two kids in the divorce

Draxum is considerably set back, esp as he starts dedicating himself to raising his two remaining sons, but he still works towards his goal.

Most yokai consider him a fringe nutcase, a mad scientist, at first. Some try to raise alarms, esp as he captured some of these & used them in trying to make mutagen, but most also consider those mad/not worth their time.

Slowly, tho, Drax does win over more ppl to his cause. Part of that is bc he networks, bribes, propagandizes; part of that bc of the growing power & threat of the EPF

On escaping so explosively, Splinter holes up in the sewers.

Raph is a little kid (~4 or 5) when he gets washed away one day, found by a worker, and taken to the surface, where he is turned over to the authorities.

In steps the Earth Protection Force, an underground organization for dealing with such "anomalies."

Raph ends up poked, prodded, & experimented on for several weeks, during which he is often left in isolation til they want more from him, which leads to his Raph Alone state.

He's not the only one there. The "test subjects" are just kept isolated from each other.

Among those test subjects is Mayhem, who helps stage a break-out & rescues Raph, only Raph manages to run off from the escaping yokai as they hit the streets of New York & get back to the sewers

Splinter has searched for him but given him mostly up for dead by now, tho still making some "futile" rounds in desperation, and stumbles on him

For a period, Splinter is a doting, present dad, determined to never neglect his kids so much again, but he falls back into a depressive rut again and pulls away

(Added tragedy: Leo vaguely remembers this time only in disjointed imprints—that there was a time in which Raph "left" him, which he felt was Raph shutting him out [Splinter wouldn't say why Raph was gone], which influences his clinginess & need to "prove himself valuable/loveable"; that there was a time when Splinter *was* present & doting, & he wishes Splinter would be like that again & regrets that it stopped... Raph doesn't talk about it/burst his bubble that that was the most traumatic period of his life.)

The EPF is in part set back, but also uses this as a way to get more funding/power from the gov, so it also helps propel them forwards

Draxum & villain boys are *a* problem. The EPF, a whole other beast.

Specifically, a wolf in sheep's clothing that's going to try conning hero boys into helping them against Draxum, posing as a secret force of heroes themselves wanting to unite with yokai heroes in a unity of good contrasted against Draxum's evil.

Raph falls for it more. He didn't know the ppl who captured him were EPF; probably, they pose as *saving* yokai from those situations. They might even have made a deal with a reluctant Mayhem to back them up, Mayhem begrudgingly allying with them to try to stop Draxum's increasing takeover of the Hidden City & growing power that could see him taking over the world. Raph (vaguely) remembers Mayhem, so this is very convincing.

(Does Mayhem feel guilty & conflicted af yes but he still does it, considering it a necessary evil. He has an arc of his own as April's "pet" [allowing him more contact with hero boys to keep an eye on them] which sees him increasinly question his aid to the EPF)

Leo is more skeptical. He's not got much ground to stand on, but feels the EPF is shadier than it lets on.

(Ooh-woo quietly brewing conflict btwn him & Raph...)

Donnie & Mikey despise the EPF as an evil anti-yokai group, but their knowledge comes from Draxum, who despises all humans as anti-yokai & paints them as dangerous evildoers (including, at least for a time, April, tho she comes to win his respect), so their opinions don't hold much weight to Raph.

Donnie & Mikey do feel the sting of their home, the Hidden City, increasingly polarizing behind either Draxum or the EPF-aligned Council of Heads.

Favorite Character and 1 reason why: Leonardo because I see too much similarities with me and at first I was scared, now I look how he and the artist heal his "bruises" and take notes for myself.

Least Favorite Character and 1 reason why: Kendra. Like... HOW?! She's just a spoiled, evil brat. (She's well written to be a hated character.) She's just before a certain bunny that's not in the 2018 show.

A character you think is attractive(Can skip if you don't have one): Donatello. I think if he love you, it's really true and genuine. He's the kind of character/person that can't lie about that because it can affect their life and comfort so it's important.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, another crossover AU involving a Disney cartoon and a wildly successful media franchise that started in the 1980s!

In this world, stepsisters Luz Noceda and April O’Neil find themselves in the Demon Realm and meet not just Eda and King, but also Eda’s old friend Splinter and his four juvenile anthropomorphic hero terrapin sons Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. Eda and Splinter have raised the Heroes in a Half Shell in the Owl House for years ever since Splinter found the baby turtles in a pizza box while on the run from the Foot Coven, the black-ops division of the Emperor’s Coven.

The Turtles all attend Hexside in addition to training under Splinter, and their classmates include Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey Jones, Mona Lisa, Mondo Gecko, and numerous other TOH and TMNT characters. The boys also each have their own Palisman, with Leo owning Mayhem from ROTTMNT, Don with Metalhead, Raph with Pepperoni, and Mikey with Klunk. Also, Leo is on the Healing track, Donnie is Oracle, Raph is Bard, and Mikey is Beast Keeping.

Leading the Foot Coven is the Shredder, as per usual, alongside his wife Oroku Miwa aka Kitsune (based off Kitsune from the IDW comics) and their daughters Karai and Pimiko (the latter originating from the Image comics, but more based off the version from Sophie Campbell’s Secret of the Ooze webcomic).

Like in the Mirage Comics, the old live action movies and the 2003 show, the Shredder murdered Hamato Yoshi, but in a marriage of the cartoon and comic origins, Yoshi would use forbidden magic to reincarnate himself in the body of his Palisman Splinter. Gaining an increase in size and intelligence thanks to Yoshi’s spirit inhabiting his body, Splinter would go into hiding until he discovered the Turtles, leading us to today.

In addition to the Oroku family leading the Foot Coven, there’s Krang (still an alien, as the Utroms were forced to evacuate Dimension X to escape being conquered by King Aldrich Leviathan), Baxter Stockman, who in this universe is an old classmate of Eda and Lilith, the trio of Hun, Bebop & Rocksteady, Koya & Bludgeon, Dogpound & Fishface, Hattori Tatsu, Master Khan, Groundchuck & Dirtbag, Dr. Chaplin, and the Stone Soldiers consisting of Traag, Granitor, Aguila, Gato, Serpiente, and Mono.

Due to the relationship between the Emperor’s Coven and the Foot Coven, Lilith finds herself the leader of her own little team consisting of herself, Bebop & Rocksteady, Hun, Stockman, and Karai. Out of the gang, Lilith finds herself closest to Baxter, since they were classmates at Hexside as mentioned above, and Karai due to the two sharing a close, mother-daughter bond that everyone wanted out of Lilith and Amity. In fact, it’s Lilith’s betrayal that causes Karai to question her loyalties to Belos and Shredder, much like her surrogate brother Hunter. Meanwhile, Hun, Bebop and Rocksteady love picking on her for being such a nerdy stick in the mud.

Also existing in this universe are Leatherhead, the Fugitoid and Monkey Brains as part of the faculty of Hexside, Ch’rell as a member of the Emperor’s Coven, Odalia Blight being business partners with Darius Dunn, Madame Null, Max Winters and Eric Sacks, the Bards/Covens Against the Throne being merged with the Mighty Mutanimals (along with a few other members like Tokka & Rahzar, Mortu, and DIGG), some of the characters from Usagi Yojimbo being turned into biped demons, Sunita being adopted alongside Vee by Camila Noceda & Kirby O’Neil, and Jacob Hopkins being an undercover member of the Earth Protection Force.

The Day of Unity progresses mostly the same in this world, only the Shredder rises up to declare himself ruler of the Boiling Isles after Belos’s presumed death while putting bounties on the heads of Eda, Splinter, Lilith, Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, and the rest of the CATTs. Meanwhile, Luz, April, the Turtles, Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey, Lisa, Mondo, Hunter, and Karai are ejected into the Human Realm by King as the Collector is unleashed. Now, the fourteen kids seek to find a way back to the Demon Realm to save their families & friends and the multiverse from Shredder.

THANK YOU, RISE OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

I've stayed silent in Tumblr for a while, but gotta say something about ROTTMNT.

After I encountered it, I feel deep into the TMNT franchise and found my love for it, but I don't think anything could top the amount of love I have for this series.

I just waited every saturday for it to be released. And for a while, it was the only thing that made me happy, and helped my cope with my BPD, anxiety, depression.

Helped me connect with my amazing tumblr friends, talented artists of every kind, hilarious, warmth and unity in every corner.

Seriously, an amazing production: great story, groovy music scenes, lovable characters, stunning animation, charming voice actors/actresses.

I don't have enough words for it. Too many good things that can be said about it.

I am heartbroken. This amazing show is being cancelled by uncle money bags. Not only we (the fans) had to suffer though extended hiatus for episodes to be released, but the RISE team was forced to cut other episodes and rush a finale that wasn't even announced as the finale.

@nickanimation did so dirty to this series, to it's unbelievable talented and hardworking crew, and to it's loyal and patient fandom.

I'm so grateful to be part of this trip. ROTTMNT is my favorite TMNT reencarnation for life. And I still got hope, that one day it'll comeback.

This show taught me unity with those whom I love and respect, about creating bonds so strong you can fight every obstacle in your way, no matter how hard it is. @nickelodeon you didn't learn a damn thing.

@netflix, if you still planning to do that movie, you will have a good feedback, I promise. Rise fandom is not satisfied. We are not giving up yet.
