Mikey smiled when she laughed. He’d been right. He’d startled her and she was scared. Doesn’t make the stabbing hurt any less, but at least he didn’t have to fight with an injured hand. He gave her a smile.

“Ah don’t worry,” he waved it off. “I get a cool new battle scar out of it and my shops not far so I can clean it up.” He should probably go to see Donnie too. Otherwise his brother will flip if he finds out on his own or gets an infection. Regardless he didn’t want to remove the knife until he got back to the shop. “Besides, I can be pretty intimidating,” he said with a fake tough guy accent, puffing out his chest in a fake bravado gesture.

She chuckled softly again," you have a really positive attitude for what happened," she noted she thought about asking about going to his shop as well but didn't want to push," um... Think I'll head back home now," she hummed as she stood up," and for the record it was not because of you being a talking giant turtle, purely because I heard someone behind me," she added wanting that to be known.

“Climb on my shell. I’ll have us there quick and in a way no one sees,” Mikey told her, looking back down at her. “It does require us to go up though. Rooftops. You’ll have to hold on tight.” The last thing he wanted was to drop a kid half way over a gap in the roofs. But it was the quickest and less noticeable route to his shop.

" I'm pretty good with them,why?" She responded as she looked back towards the street side of the alley they were in for a moment to check there was no one watching them before she looked back at him and saw him look up.

“I’ve been through a lot. I learned to take things with a laugh unless it was serious,” He said. He pushed himself up with one hand at the same time she did. He did appreciate her clarifying that it’s not because of what he is.

“That’s good to know. You new to the area? If so, try to steer clear of the alley’s if you can. They aren’t the safest. How come you were over here anyways?”

He nodded, glad to have a chance to help and to show off the shop. He loved his little place. It took a lot of work to get it which wasn’t easy, but was so worth it. “Sure. You’re welcome to come any time. It’s not far from here’s. I’ll show you,” he agreed. He glanced up at the rooftops. He knew the way from up there better than down here. “Um… how are you with heights?”

She nodded at his first question," yeah been here about a week now, and I know it's because of me no matter what my parents have told me, " she started," and alleyways are usually where I um hide out at," she paused a moment as she looked him over best she could in the dim lighting," I have these abilities that I can't always control so being around a lot of people is not always an ideal situation for me," she finished hoping telling him this wouldn't back fire on her later on.

Mikey took in the information on her. Abilities huh? He knew someone who’d gone through that. He smiled. “I get it. I had a friend who went through something similar a long time ago. She helps out at my shop. You’re welcome to come by anytime, she might be able to help,” he offered, though he wasn’t sure how much April could do depending on what the abilities are. Still he knew how much having a place to go can mean to someone who has the need to hide.
