Red Son woke up at about 8:30 am to an empty bed. He looked around for a few minutes to see Nezha standing in the doorway to the bathroom.

"Oh, don't tell me-"

"It's a bathroom campout day."

Bathroom campout days were everyone's least favorite type of day, Wukong especially. Wukong would have to spend hours in there purging his systems of all content. Oftentimes from both ends. It was both gross and smelly, but ultimately it was so Wukong could detox his body. It was the stone monkey way of handling any contamination within the body.

Luckily, it usually meant that Wukong would be feeling very well for the next few days at least.

RS: Are you doing alright, Uncle?

SWK: Back at it again at Krispy Kreme! *vomits*

Nezha: *laughs* This is part of why I love him so much.

RS: Would you like me to make breakfast?

Nezha: If you'd be so kind. Wukong will likely have to be tube-fed though, he hasn't been able to keep anything down.

RS: How long has he been in there?

Nezha: I woke to the sounds his body was making at about four in the morning. He was already in here by then so I really don't know. I think it's because he tried some new foods at the diner yesterday.

RS: Oh. Poor Uncle.

Nezha: He should be done soon, given how long he's been in here.

RS: I'll get breakfast ready.

Nezha: Good. And can you bring the diffuser over too?

Wukong had a port put in his abdomen during his surgery so he could be given vital nutrients his body needed when he either couldn't eat or keep anything down.

Nezha was initially dismayed by it until Wukong said something about how he now had a belly button too.

Once Wukong was done purging, Nezha helped put him in what Nezha swore wasn't a diaper but it might as well have been and clean, comfortable clothes.

He attached the tubing to Wukong's "belly button" and the machine used to feed him. It only needed a mixture of water and the nutrient packets that came with it. Once Nezha was done with that, he set up the diffuser. It was shaped like a daffodil and changed color too.

Nezha had researched diffusers and essential oils and even spoken to Wukong's doctor about it when he found out that incense was a potential hazard to his lungs. Nezha wanted to try it out as an alternative and Jinzha had just gifted them a set of the best oils he could find. He also gifted them a book about the benefits and uses of each.

Nezha picked the lemon and lavender oils for Wukong to smell.

Wukong was able to get some sleep while the others had their breakfast.

Nezha: Oh, by the way, I asked the guys to come over to help put together some of the furniture today.

RS: Really? Why?

Nezha: It was a bit of a long shot to think the three of us would be able to set this place up on our own. And we've been wanting to spend more time together and helping each other out after we lost one of our own.

RS: I see. My deepest condolences for you all.

Nezha: Thank you. The funeral is in two weeks and I will be attending. I don't know about Wukong though. He doesn't have an easy time with these things.

RS: I'd be happy to stay here and watch him if needed.

Nezha: Thank you. And thank you for all of the help you've given us. You've done more for us than we could ever have asked for.

RS: Oh, it's nothing really-

Nezha: And I wanted you to know that if ever it becomes too much for you or if you feel too stressed by what's been happening to Wukong, it's okay to take a break.

RS: But I want to help you! I want to help you both in any way I can!

Nezha: And we appreciate the help, really, we do. We just don't want you to get overwhelmed by this and be hurt by it.

Nezha: We love you and we're always here for you. We just don't you spending your time worrying every moment of every day. We want you to go have fun and live your life regardless of what happens to us.

RS: I understand. Thank you. And I promise you I don't do this entirely out of worry, but out of love for you both as well.

RS: Plus, it's been a fun challenge to put together the different mobility devices and other stuff around the house.

Nezha: Good. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Red Son had met Nezha's soldier friends before, but it was still weird seeing them out of uniform and in such casual clothing.

Nezha greeted each one fondly as they arrived. It was clear that all of these young men were close to each other. Nezha went over instructions when they were all together and they split up to get to work.

It took about 0.3 seconds for them to start cracking jokes and goofing around a bit. Still, they did good work.

Wukong was well enough to sit in his wheelchair and greet Nezha's friends for a bit. Every one of them was very polite and respectful to him. Whenever one had spare time, they used it to check on Wukong's condition and see if he needed anything.

SWK: You have good friends.

Nezha: The best. I consider myself very lucky.

SWK: Are they your troop?

Nezha: *pleasantly surprised by the question* I suppose they are. And that would make them yours too, correct?

SWK: Correct.

The two looked over to see a pair of them had made bubble wrap armor and cardboard weapons while another friend had made a cardboard fort.

SWK: These guys are awesome.

Nezha: I know.

SWK: Sweet bachelor party you've got going on.

Nezha: You think so?

SWK: I know so-

Appearance

155cm, aka 5'0, insists she's 5'1 though. (She's close enough cmon.)

Long black/really dark brown wavy/curly hair mostly slightly wavy some parts just curl for no good reason. Dyed undercolour hair, it fades quick so the colour changes between different light blues, teal, lavender and light pinks. She kind of sucks at dying it though.

Dark eyes like really dark brown

Pale/normal? skin, her feet are ungodly pale compared to the rest of her though lol. (Tan lines make me suffer) Dark circles, girl has a shit sleep schedule.

She's near-sighted but not as bad that she has to wear her glasses all the time, she just usually does because it's a hassle to keep putting it on and off. The prescription is actually pretty light.

Small ass hands and feet. It's baby. Like really fucking small hands. (This is a curse that I'll give to every oc even slightly somewhat based off me) Painted nails black, it's chipped and not that great. No pedicure though.

Their ears aren't pierced! It's clip ons, that's why she had a spare to give Milo :> (Girl CANNOT sleep with them in)

Her face is a little scarred due to skin picking problems that still persists. The skin around her nails suffer as well. Will make every hangnail bleed. Panicks every time it happens. Will also bite the skin around their nails, they ended up kind of tough because of that. It gets worse when she's bored or nervous. (She just eats the skin she bites off.)

Give her gum and that'll be fixed but she never has any on hand.

Random facts :>

Korean-Australian, but like 1/4 Aussie, (one full korean parent one half aus half korean one) but lived there most of her life rather than South Korea. Can't read or write the language except her name but listening and speaking is fine. (Conversational, she'll die inside if the words get too big)

Has a license for serving alcohol. (Well in Aus anyway) From a hospitality course she was in during high school. (She did it for fun)

Hates drawing backgrounds. Hates studying anatomy too but hey, prefers drawing people so back to anatomy studies it is. (She cries every time the foreshortening looks wrong.)

Can't animate for shit.

Probably draws Milo for the anatomy studies and dies inside because she just drew a naked Milo. Bro ain't living that down. Will do it again. Then regret it again.

Can play the piano, cries because she can't even play a full ocatave without pressing others keys. Learnt to sing as well- participated in choir as a soprano. Has a pretty straight voice. Can't roll r for any reason. Sucks because half the songs she knows would sound better with rolling rs. Can sing operas really well. (That’s how she was taught to sing after all) Her normal voice is kinda low though.

Loud noise/ yelling overstimulates her. Texture can also become a problem sometimes. Doesn't like being watched but she'll endure it for a perfect love :')

Weirdly good at giving good relationship advice, well she knows the one she wants is bad so she has to know what's good first.

Therapist friend. Half the gossip she knows comes from that.

Definitely the family dissapointment and gay cousin.

Emotionally neglected to some degree. Her parents cared about academic results and bragging about her. Was a very 'gifted' child, grades dropping at higher grades but still well, A/B student. Not good enough for her parents though.

So she's learnt that love is earned. So she tried but she just couldn't. Sacrificed her sleep to do the things she liked as more and more of her time was dedicated to study. That's why her current sleep schedule is fucked :>

She couldn't really handle the expectations so she chose the uni the game takes place in, it's pretty far from her parents. Just to try and do what she wants for once.

They couldn't go to their parents for support usually so they tried relying on friends. Only to be dragged into messes of friendship dramas after the other. Rather neglected and unwanted in the groups themselves. Got bullied too without much support in those times. Ending up alone over and over.

This kind of cemented her in her eyes as someone unwanted. So she had to make someone stay with her. She could tell she was lonely.

Unfortunate dating sim enjoyer now with ideals of love tries to date normally. However she can never get them to stay.

Worsening mindset yay!!!

She knows what bad relationships look like and tries to seek codependent ones out. Dating worse and worse people and trying to change them so they might just stay with them a little longer.

Toxic idiot can't do it properly. No one stays for longer than ~3-5 months.

So she changes herself. Practising in the mirror. (Bro ain't confidant usually!!! Acting man acting!) She has pent up anger inside of her she used to become stronger. Did her best to conquer her introverted nature and absolutely shit social skills to manipulate others. She doesn't even like what she's doing at all. Finds stalking others and getting information annoying and exhausting. She's not that strong either, has goddamn no arm strength. (She'll beat you with a shoe tho in true East Asian parent fashion lmao) Dislikes conflict too.

She learns how a perfect love for her might act. Even if she never wants to do the things herself.

It hurts them to do what she's doing, but to her it's the ONLY way she can have someone stay. AND have people not INTERFERE. (She has short person solidarity with Desmond please, they like you, you just get in the way)

Has a habit of apologising. So they say sorry randomly to others but she's just apologising for what she has done and keeps doing. They want to stop but keeps forcing themselves to keep going or keeps going in a panic.

She genuinely likes Milo, but gets so insecure that he'll leave her that they do what they do.

Doesn't even like most of the people she dates. A lot of them remind of their old bullies, but she thought bad people might achieve what she wanted faster.

...but that's not the kind of love she wanted. She wants to be in control this time, at the same time be revered enough by her partner to be smothered in love and not think and not be in control.

It's a balance she's never achieved.

(All playable endings end up being too intense for her, but if she doesn't break him it's not enough. Wall ending she ends up lonely from Milo not being around but others they can't process how things turned out.)

She's met Perfect!Milo in the fucking void! They end up there often trying to make her perfect love, and having to restart over and over because she can't get the balance she wants. Feels too bad for Perfect!Milo to have him become the one she wants, but enjoys his company. She brings him a small painting or drawing every time :D

Tbh she got too attached to Milo to try to do this with someone else anymore and results are steadily improving :^ it’s a slow, slow process though, and she still hasn’t achieved their perfect love.

She usually isn't really "Eris" in a sense most of the time. However, when she does her stuff to manipulate others/ be intimidating/ hurt others, that's when she really "Eris" in a sense. I draw her with the heterochromia when they’re in that mode for lack of a better word. :^ or when her insecurity peaks up :> After all, even under all that wanting and insecurity is still an Eris.

Alcibiades headcanons that nobody asked for. (These are all made up from my brain for fun)

-Never got acne on his face as a teenager, only occasionally on his upper back. It's a gene thing, his parents didn't get acne either.

-if he focuses a lot he can pronounce the Rs. But since he doesn't have to, he mostly doesn't go through the trouble. The more relaxed he is the more heavy his Ls become.

-He's always carrying something to chew on for fresh breath, be it mint, basil or mastic. He likes mastic in general, and chewing it helps him focus when he's working.

-often goes down to peiraius' taverns by himself to eat fish with his friends there, who are mostly seamen and merchants. They are mostly nice people who don't try to flatter him or sleep with him for political reasons and it's refreshing. They also like gambling and Alcibiades loves gambling, but can't really properly indulge in it with high class aristocratic athenian company.

-can actually drive a chariot very well, but has grown too tall and heavy to do it competitively anymore, which makes him a little sad sometimes.

-the persian cook that he has working at his house really likes him and is always trying to feed him as a love language.

-in typical Athenian fashion, he doesn't eat breakfast. Later in life when he's lived in other places, he realises eating breakfast is actually nice.

-sometimes he believes in the gods, and sometimes he doesn't. It comes and goes.

-his house is full of rugs everywhere. How many rugs does he own.

-his house in Athens isn't that big, but it's full of things, and the elaborate murals on the walls make it look completely full.

-he takes steaming hot, lavender scented baths. At least one hetaira has to be included in that ritual, if only for music.

-has a collection of intricate strigils, but only really used a plain old one that curves just right and has grown a perfect edge from use. Not too sharp, not too dull, completely smooth and easy on the skin.

-when he came back to athens from exile he tried his best to buy back any of his old possessions that he could find.

-will eat snails if he has to, but won't choose to eat them if he has a choice. Same for cicadas, but he will occasionally get a craving for them. Used to be his favorite food as a kid.

-he can eat fried squid until he passes out, Socrates jokes they always have to keep an eye on him when there's squid around.

-when he goes to Persia and tries foods with actual sugar in them he has to try extremely hard to eat in moderation. Tissaphernes is always amused by how much Alcibiades loves sugar.

-he likes flute music a lot. He just doesn't like playing it.

-will sing shanties along with the oarsmen while on his ship.

-the ship modification hammock is mostly a joke and for showing off, he doesn't really get to use it.

-he makes sure to get his ship's eyes repainted as often as possible, and makes them as garishly colorful as possible.

-once he moves to thrace he always wears closed boots with fleece inside. His feet get very cold easily and he doesn't like it.

-has some scars that he's very proud of, and some scars that he's tried every single skin remedy he could find to get rid of. The scars he's okay with are mostly from battles.

-you can tell how busy or not busy he is by wether or not he bothers to complain about the humidity messing up his hair. When he's actually busy he usually just uses a bunch more oil than usual and ignores it.

-socrates had to shame him into cutting his hair for mourning when Pericles died. He really didn't want to cut his hair.

-he's almost always wearing makeup, usually just kohl for everyday things, and more fancy stuff for symposia and special occasions. When he got older, like after 40, he started using more and more kohl to hide the small wrinkles that had started forming around his eyes.

i’m seeing some people saying “if taylor and joe’s rs was so bad why didn’t they end it right away?” and it’s just so obvious to me? one time they were building a life together and the other they were falling apart, it’s hard to just trow more than half of a decade from your life with someone away no matter how bad it is. people think because they never married that that means they never talked about it or about kids, i can assure you they did because that’s what couples that are together for that long do. it was probably heartbreaking for her when she realized he didn’t want those things (at least not with her, which might be the worst part) so she tried to convince herself she didn’t want them (lavender haze being in the denial playlist). and when she realized she did in fact want it she talked to somebody else about their problems and that somebody promised to give her those things and that’s how we have TTPD

yeah i saw the conversation on jaime’s blog. anyway, im right there with you, idk why people are so confused that she stayed even when it was bad. lover is literally proof they talked about a long future together, and when you’re in love with someone, you wanna try your hardest to be there for them and work it out somehow. im sure a lot of people would feel they are being unfair if they gave up quickly.

💜 Lavender Haze: just confirms what I thought since Joever happened and I started to look at Midnights a bit differently. I literally think she was in denial that him staring at the ceiling with her and not talking much, not reading into her feelings was NOT a good thing or the sign of a healthy relationship 🙃 also, her trying to convince herself that she doesn’t want to get married, she doesn’t need the 1950s shit of having a ring on her finger, having babies, feeling SAFE…. just screams denial and delulu lmao

❄️ Snow On The Beach: Ouch. Big ouchie. When she released this song in Fall 2022 I remember thinking… wow why is she so obsessed with the beginning of their relationship and keeps on writing about it. I feel like we now have an answer and it’s that this is what she kept holding onto when things had already hit the fan 🥲

🚫 Sweet Nothing: NO song screams more denial on Midnights than this one. Her posting the Linda and Paul McCartney thing had already told us that she wrote this because she loved the idea of this love yet it wasn’t actually what she was going through. Also, it’s so interesting that she and Joe wrote it together.. again, it’s giving massive ‘i will do anything for him to be 100% in again’ aka she tried to recreate something with him that clearly wasn’t there anymore at the time

🚩Cruel Summer/False God: Have ALWAYS been such red flags when it comes to a relationship dynamic. Cruel Summer is all about them playing games in the beginning and her suffering from it. Vivid dreams as usual, this morning I dreamt of Art*n again. We were in some sort of summer vacation house with others, but it was dark or approaching dark with stormy clouds outside. There were others there, a dining bench and a dining table of dark wood. We weren't well acquainted but we were polite and friendly, and becoming increasingly so, though we both maintained a polite distance. I forget much of the dream, unfortunately, idiot that I am. At one point a middle-aged asian woman came to the door (we were young ourselves). I opened it to see her standing on the wooden porch, having just climbed the stairs, standing against the blue winter sky, and she asked me if I wanted milk, or some such question that made little sense and confused me. She was somewhat hostile, but polite, like she wanted something. She perhaps asked twice, looked inside at the others sitting on the bench, said something to *rt*n, who sheepishly asked the door be closed or something, or I asked him if he wanted me to close the door, or asked him what he wanted to do and he said to close the door, so I did - or something like that, either way I closed the door and the woman went away. I asked, having already divined that it was likely the case, if he and this woman were having an affair, to which he sheepishly replied yes. I fell to floor and laughed gigantically, but eventually got up and was polite.

Later we went off to the mall, with my father and perhaps mother and maybe one or two others, to go get something at *rb*n **tf*tt*rs. We walked along the artificial lake, like the one in M*ryl*nd, on a cold winter's day, wrapped in coats, somewhat cloudy as the sun slowly set. *rt*n and I walked arm-in-arm at some point, talking and scheming - he was almost something like a gay best friend, but straight. He was sweet and I felt quite fond of him. He was still shorter than me. We were all dressed up well, in wool coats and furs and long boots and sparkles and such. We walked into the mall, like the K*P one, at the tunnel entrance at the St*rb*cks, and walked through the end to *rb*n **tf*tt*rs. It was packed, and I entered the elongated store from the right side and made my way toward the back and left toward the entrance in a long U. *rt*n somewhat fell behind me and was looking at things with another guy who was there. I missed him but let him do it anyway, I didn't want to be clingy or annoying. About halfway into the right side, walking back toward *rt*n to look at a pile of clothes, jeans perhaps, I ran into JL* in a white fur coat, and we had to maneuver around each other, her as rude as described. Anyway, I ignored it and kept going forward. At the end I turned to the left and as I approached the checkout counter, found some boots - round toed with short, thick heels, deep navy all on the foot and a bit up the sides, yielding to shiny gold metal embellishments, round with some celestial affects. I quite wanted them, but put them aside as I figured they weren't the right color season for me - too warm. I'm not sure if I purchased anything or not, or rather if my father purchased anything for me.

Then we ended up at a restaurant, with maroon carpeting and table clothes. There were two large round tables there, across from a wide wall of dark wood-paneled french doors opening onto the blue winter dusk on the cold high street outside. *rt*n beelined at the nearest table where he sat facing between the windows and the other table, speaking to a dark-haired girl in pink or lavender, young and naive and sweet but disconcerted to see me. That table was primarily younger people. I sat at the one to its right, with my parents sitting nearer the windows and facing opposite them, and I sat parallel to *rt*n's female friend, next to his mother with long dyed blonde hair. She was quite sweet, making conversation with my parents and the others, until a waiter came along at the other table, offering wine, and said some phrase that contained the word "bërre", something like "Do tu bërre kenaqur" or something along those lines. His mother stood up from her chair, upset, and repeated "bërre? bërre?", then looked at me and said told me that my *lb*n**n was delightful, and walked toward the french doors to go outside and weep, upset. That's when I woke up, and continued to imagine following outside to comfort her and strengthening my brand new relationship with her, until *rt*n came outside, and I would keep comforting her with a cigarette and my words and perhaps an espresso. I really had quite a longing to be close with him in the dream.
