Solarflare (Sun/Yang)
ask meme
DON'T SHIP IT
Why don't you ship it? - It's Yang. I don't like Yang, and I think she's one of the worst characters in the show even though I can't even fault her for the way she is because her writers are misogynistic creeps. That being said, I just think Yang is very unpleasant due to how she treats people who are not Blake like trash in the recent volumes, like how she would dukes up against her uncle who tried to be calm (Vol 6), betrays Ironwood the second she got into the field as a professional (Vol 7), berates Ren for being rightfully angry at the dire situation that THEY got themselves into (Vol 8), and treated Ruby, her fucking sister, like shit until Ruby gave up (Vol 9). She and Blake need to stay the fuck away from Sun, because toxic ass bitches deserve each other.
What would have made you like it? - LET THEM INTERACT. Holy shit, they have so much potential with each other if RT weren't such cowards; let them go to the gym together, let them play video games together, let them get into shenanigans together PLEASE. Anything would've been great. And again, if Yang wasn't such a cunt I would've liked it more.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? - I'm a sucker for the sunshine couple vibe they have during the Beacon Era. And again, they would've been great gym buddies and Sun would fucking BE THERE for Yang emotionally and help her through her struggles without infantilizing her like Blake did in Vol 6.

Who Am I?
First Blog on this website... So let's start at who I am. You can call me what my username is, or just call me Mav for short. I'm 16, male, Asian, and no.. Not looking for a relationship. I'm in 11th grade STEM class writing on this blog for E-tech... What's next?... Let me just start with my hobbies. Playing Games: It all started when I was 3 or 4, when my dad had me sat on his lap and play my first game, "Feeding Frenzy". It's a game where you control this fish and you eat other fish to grow into a bigger fish which is the main premise of the game which I loved playing. It then branched out to other genres which was kid-friendly at first: Putt-Putt, Jumpstart, Bookworm Adventures. Then that's where things changed after waking up one morning when I was 5, Dad was playing this racing car game which looked better than Jumpstart Advanced 1st Grade or Putt-Putt enters the race. It was Need for Speed: Carbon. (Fun fact: It was this game that I learned how to use the keyboard...well the arrows which then switched to "aswd" and it was because of this that it took 7 years to correct my hand placement since I had one that I was comfortable with when playing the NFS series). It then branched to other genres which were other NFS titles like Most Wanted, COD (MW3 and B0), RTS games like Total War and Empires, Open-World games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Overlord, KOA: Reckoning and just a little bit of DA. It was a fun childhood though most of these games lost their flair after a couple years. One last thing about games. Just after Covid19 started, I was looking for more games to play and I stumbled upon Osu well... more like watched a god tier gamer in YT have insane reaction speed. Tried it, sucked at standard so I switched to Mania and man, did I do good on that Easy map so I kept playing till after 2 years. Here's my acc if anyone's interested: https://osu.ppy.sh/users/19218817. That's it for this game hobby that I have, moving on. Reading/Watching Fiction: I'm a huge nerd of fiction. Dad is a huge nerd of it as well. So let's repeat again. Dad, huge fan of Star Wars, had 6 year old me look into it. Didn't like it since the movies were all "prequel of the sequel of the yadda yadda" fast forward a few years, Hobbit came out, had me interested, went with my dad to the cinemas to watch, remarked the LOTR trilogy was better, watched that after, told me to read tolkien's instead, read the hobbit instead cause tolkien's was too long, Dad discovered LitRpg, didn't notice anything, only after a few months did I notice him using his phone a bit too much, I asked and found out E-books. It was a rough start, trying to read LitRpg since most of them were harems and such but a few good ones started to come out. Aleron Kong's The Land Series and Michael Chatfield's Emirilia Series, go check them out. Moving on.
Exercise: Did a little Taekwondo(Red belt), stopped for a few years, Went gym.
That's it for hobbies. Just gonna put a few Interests here and there. Music: Mainly emo rock. Bands like MCR, Panic!ATD before he went pop, paramore and more. See what I did there? Food: Anything that isn't shrimp paste. That's it, Thank you for reading. *gonna add stuff if I can think of more things to put in*

Vexed has however decided to speak on Ironwood. ... Guess how that goes.
“Ironwood is such a cartoon villain! Look at how he is framed!”
This would mean a little more than jackshit to me if this was real or at least not coming a RWBY watcher since the latter would be all about manipulative editing and the later I might believe wouldn’t need to be handheld through a basic scene but not only is Ironwood a fictional character in a fictional show where you’re trying to invoke emotions in the audience: The RWBY fandom can’t analyze a scene worth shit unless someone walks on screen and literally explains everything. And Vexed himself is such a manipulatve liar that he’s even LESS trustworthy.
Not to mention I’ve seen footage of Hitler’s speeches and the responses- you can go a few levels deeper in reality itself. Not really that cartoonish to me.
“They thought they made him a villain at the end of Volume 7 but failed miserably!”
A. Judging from the reactions and how Ironwood’s defenders were half made up of people who’d side with anything they think is the opposite of what the writers’ intended- I’d say they did the job perfectly fine.
And B. This is exactly what I was talking about. The fact that someone didn’t roll out a fucking flowchart of his character you immediately started interpreting Ironwood’s downfall as a failure to make him a villain. You literally took basic ambiguity necessary for good writing and twisted it to make things look bad.
You’re the fucking reason why RWBY is blunter than a stoner’s cigarette.
“They ACCIDENTALLY made him compelling!”
... You do know the commentary you are quoting doesn’t say ‘we tried to make Ironwood not compelling’ in any form right? All they’re saying is ‘we wanted to make Ironwood’s descent into villainy understandable and subtle.’ In fact, the writer’s job is suppose to be about making the villain compelling so they likely INTENDED on it.
... You mixed up ‘compelling’ and ‘sympathetic’ didn’t you? That either means you don’t know what those words mean or you have an incredibly narrow view of villains.
Also I gotta love that ‘Oh, he was only making hard choices and yet he’s a VILLAIN?!’. Not only does it ignore that villains are made by their choices, bad things can happen due to good choices and that it’d be thematic SUICIDE to portray Ironwood as in the right while kicking the more moral Ozpin for his actions-
It also showcases you’re just a salty Ironwood fanboy. You didn’t consider how he got here as a character or what makes sense for what he represents- You got pissed your headcanons of a character was contradicted so you pitch a fit. I know this because you pulled this shit with WEISS before.
“Isn’t it strange that Salem was used to set up Ironwood’s ultimatium?”
No. Ironwood’s flaws as a character have always been centered around his reaction to Salem’s existence. He acts unilaterially when he believes Salem is close by, his paranoia flares up when Salem is concerned, his stubbornness is the result of glorifying Salem as this nigh unstoppable evil that must be stopped at any cost.
Of course he’s at his lowest when Salem is there: this once in the background ultimate evil is now making public moves, everything is stacked against him and he sees other people’s ways as having failed. Why wouldn’t he dig in his heels when faced with such a situation considering his character?
“I’ll be doing a video on Salem at the end of this Volume-”
And I know it’ll be as much of a failure as all the others. You could literally release a video of you saying ‘RWBY bad’ for ten minutes sand get the same reaction.
“Let’s focus on James, who was the best character in the show-”
Subjective and shows your bias AGAIN.
“Who was the focal point of Volume 7-”
A. That’s actually more him and Ruby but you aren’t the type to pay attention.
And B. You are now acknowledging the existence of his actions in Volume 7. You cannot try to say his descent wasn’t explored unless it’s admission you didn’t understand Volume 7.
“The man who hasn’t done much of anything in the first half of this Volume-”
That is such bullshit I don’t even know where to start?
He caused the events of Volume 8 to play out. He contacted Penny, setting up her own doubts about her decision, he used Watts to make the virus that setup the climax, he denies the heroes access to resources thus preventing them from attacking Salem, he puts them on edge from his orders to arrest preventing the heroes from openly acting-
He’s pulling as much weight as RUBY here and I’m honestly insulted.
“The man who is now just a crazy cartoon villain.”
You know, this reminds me of a comment I saw once. It was about Persona 5′s villains and how everyone said they were cartoon villains too. ... I then proceeded to point out how each one was actually pretty realistic when you actually look at reality.
Kamoshida? Replace ‘Gym school teacher’ to ‘Rich man’ and you have Jeffry Epstein. (Who didn’t commit suicide)
Madrame? *jabs at RT*
Okumura? He was based on real life Japanese business tycoons and their actions.
Shido? Literally every US politician.
Same applies here, but even worse. Ironwood descended from a high perch due to very serious circumstances, doing all this in a misguided attempt to protect people. A certain senile President did similarly shady shit...to protect himself.
You can’t call ‘cartoon villain’ to a man more understandable than REAL PEOPLE.
“Make a decision- Mantle dies or Mantle dies! HOW STUPID!”
Completely ignoring how they believe they can still save Mantle...and Ironwood is using that to try and force their hand.
Literally anyone who tries to be manipulative does that. And again, I understand him better than...well, everyone who HAS tried that.
“I would have respected him more if he just blew up Mantle-”
So kill the tone of the show, the main conflict of the past two Volumes AND his characterization as a pragmatist?
Someone check Vexed’s foot and make sure it’s still there: he’s shot it so many times now.
“Explain to me why he won’t just let Mantle evacuate?”
He’s incredibly stubborn, mentally scarred and physiologically compromised? AKA his CHARACTER?
“IRONWOOD ISN’T THINKING! RWBY BAD!”
It’s the fucking INTENT to show he isn’t thinking. All you’re doing is proving the writers’ competence at this point.
“Ruby should have just said Penny was in Mantle-”
To the guy whose immensely unstable at this point, saying ‘Hey, my only bargaining chip is in that place you don’t care about where you can possibly get the chip by killing Penny and finding who has the Maiden powers now!’?
Sounds like you’re the one missing more than half a brain.
“PLAN FAILED!”
Yes, your plan did fail because My IQ isn’t in the negatives.
“I love how the writers thinking that Ironwood acknowledging he’s slow-”
... You took a look at this scene, with him looking like that, with that music, with the context of his character, with the question of his character, with Winter’s look at him...
And came to THAT conclusion?
... Yeah we’re done here. I’m not giving any more effort. I’ve clearly given a Herculean amount of it compared to Vexed.
I’ll end this with a quote from one of my favorite Bad Religion songs:
Life is the crummiest book I ever read There isn't a hook, just a lot of cheap shots Pictures to shock and characters an amateur
Would never dream up
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction

Hate A2 Red (1.4) On Pins and (Twin)needles
Well, I picked back up and cruised through the first part of the game through to SS Anne, picking up along the way the following team members, several of which were the same as last time: Sao Paulo (Bulbasaur), Hamburg (Rattata), Rome (Spearow), Denver (Weedle), and Cairo (Caterpie).  Of note, this time I didn’t have a Nidoran because I got a Weedle on Route 2, and I didn’t have a Pidgey at this point either.  Bulbasaur still made quick work of both Brock and Misty, picking up Nashville (Jigglypuff), Carthage (Ekans), and Brasov (Zubat) between Pewter and Cerulean.  I was a little disappointed to lack Geodude, but my dual bug-types were a very nice addition, as was an early Spearow - at least for now!
When I went to clear out Nugget Bridge, I left Rome in a little too long against Blue’s Pidgeotto, and for the second run in a row, Spearow became the first casualty.  I decided not to skip encounters this time, but an Abra on Route 25 decided to skip me - the second “death” of the run.  Philly (Pidgey) rejoined the crew on Route 24, and the full party from the last run except Geodude had been reaquired.
After Cerulean, four more encounters opened up: Avignon (Oddish) just north of the Daycare, Las Vegas (Mankey) just outside the underground tunnel, Jericho (Diglett) from Diglett’s Cave, and Boise (Drowzee) just East of Diglett’s Cave.
Along the way, a second team member fell, with Carthage the Ekans falling to a Hyper Fang crit from a trainer on route 6.
With that, it was time to take on the SS Anne, but I decided to grind the whole team to 22 first.
Tumblr media
And Hamburg the Raticate singlehandedly swept Blue on the SS Anne.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I still had a bit of room before the Lt. Surge cap of 24 on most of my party, I grabbed a few items from the SS Anne while I still could.   Then, it was time to take on Surge himself - after absolute hell on the switch puzzle, taking 8 attempts to find the doggone second switch, I made it through, and Ivysaur and Diglett cleanly cleaned up the Thunderbadge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With most of the party still completely at full health, I headed for Rock Tunnel, flashless.  Around this time, Denver picked up Twinneedle, which turns out to be an absolutely broken move in Gen 1.  Absurdly, overtly broken.  Twinneedle ends up being the backbone of the entire next leg, in a generation where Bug is Super Effective against poison.
At this time, my encounter luck, however, went downhill - I was duped out of any legal encounters on Rt. 9, I KOed the Voltorb I found on Rt. 10, and just on the other side of Rock Tunnel, I KOed a Rt. 8 Growlithe as well - bringing my death counter to 5.
Rock Tunnel did provide me Doha (Machop) while navigating flashlessly and relatively seamlessly, despite a brief hairy moment when Vine Whip ran out of PP in the third to last trainer battle.  While I did not get a Growlithe on Rt 8, I did avenge this failure on Rt. 7, adding Kochinda to the team. Rotterdam (Eevee) joined the team for free in Celadon City, and St. Paul (Doduo) joined the team on Rt. 16 while acquiring Fly.
With that, it was time to clear out some Rockets and a Grass Gym that I dominated in type matchup, as well as pick up a Fire Stone for Kochinda and a Water Stone for Rotterdam.
Both Giovanni and Erika left my teams fairly healthy, and I’m now 4 badges into my second attempt!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seriously, though, Twinneedle is busted.

With the incredible power of POWDER SNOW and my loyal Swinub Hypnos, Falkner has been defeated >:) 1 gym down, 7 to go, largely because I'm not playing with ace level cap rules (though even if I had been trying to... I caught a Gastly in Sprout Tower and by the time I was done with the place it was level 10, so ace level cap rules sound like they'd be hell to manage LOL)
I also caught a Bellsprout on Rt. 32 immediately after beating the gym, so between that and the Egg, my team almost finally has 6 Pokemon lmao

Wonderful
He was a punk. He did ballet. What more can I say?
Eddie has a crush on his ballet partner’s boyfriend, Richie.
(I heard sk8er boi by Avril Lavigne and thought of reddie. So, here’s the product of that.)
Read it on AO3
Inhale. Exhale. You can do this. Eddie and his partner had been trying to perfect this one lift in their routine for what seemed like hours. He was sticky with sweat, needing to change his tights, and was getting a headache in the base of his neck.
“Go.” He said. She ran at him.
He stuck out his arms as she jumped. She landed bridal style. As soon as she was steady in his embrace, he threw her up, using his elbows and pushing as hard as she could so she flew. She spun, her hands grabbing for his shoulders. She was unsteady.
He cursed and brought her to the floor.
She huffed; her hands on her hips. “What the fuck, Eddie?”
“There’s something up with your spin. Your landing is off or something.” He ran his fingers through his damp hair.
She scoffed, taking her blonde hair out of her top knot. “My spin is fine. It’s not my fault that you’re not throwing me up high enough.” Angelica annoyed him more than any of the other girls at the studio, but she was the best dancer and they were an excellent team. They pushed each other. They were both the best and they knew it. Eddie couldn’t complain about being partnered with her when he saw all his medals and trophies before he went to bed every night.
“Well, it’s not my fault you have weak arms!”
Somehow they always ended up this way- in a screaming match.
“OH PLEASE! I have weak arms? You can barely even lift me, Kaspbrak!” She tossed her hair over her shoulder, poking her finger against his chest.
He shoved her finger away and rolled his eyes. “Let’s just get this over with, Monroe.”
She back stepped a few paces. She tossed her hair up again, the elastic twisting around her fingers before snapping against her bun. “Just make sure you can fucking throw me this time.”
“I’ll throw you into next Tuesday.” He said under his breath as she began to run forward.
He caught her. She spun in the air, bracing her arms on his shoulder when she flipped. With his hands on her hips, holding her high in the air, she split her legs. He held her up by one hand, then, a little longer than he’s supposed to just to show his strength. He smirked. Then, while turning his body, with both hands he slowly flipped her over before bringing her to the ground again in their final pose.
They jumped at the sound of clapping. In the reflection of the mirror in front of them, they saw across the studio was a Richie Tozier, clapping with a goofy grin on his face.
“You did so great, baby!”  Eddie’s heart skipped a beat, and he felt his face grow hotter. The pain in the back of his neck intensified as Angelica squealed and ran into Richie’s arms.
Baby. Eddie had heard Richie call him that a million times in his head. Sometimes when he sat in class and saw Richie picking at the neon-colored band-aids on his elbows. Sometimes when he saw Richie roll passed the library window, boombox on his shoulder, while Eddie studied. Eddie couldn’t even think of how many times he’d imagined being wrapped in those pale, lanky arms while Richie laughed lightly and whispered that word in his ear. Sometimes when he laid in bed at night, eyes closed, panting, his hand down his…
Eddie found himself staring, a chill running down his spine. He quickly grabbed his bag, hauling it over his shoulder and putting his water bottle to his lips. Hopefully, if he had enough water in his mouth as he walked passed them, he wouldn’t have to speak and make a fool of himself.
“Hey, Eds!” So close.
He swallowed the liquid. “Don’t call me that, Richard.”
Richie’s eye crinkled in the corner when he laughed, his lips stretching over crooked teeth. “I just wanted to know if you wanted to come to this shindig I’m throwing at the pipes? 10 o’clock?”
The pipes. It was an abandoned zoo on the outskirts of Derry. The teens of Derry got up to no good there. Bev told him that she saw Richie shredding up the old gorilla habitat on his board, a cigarette hanging from his lips. Bev was braver than Eddie. He was afraid of going to the pipes.
Eddie could feel the pain in his neck grow larger, into his shoulders as he gazed down at Angelica’s disgusted face. She lightly hit her boyfriend’s chest from where she was hooked under Richie’s arm. “He doesn’t skate, Rich.”
Eddie felt his mouth start to move.  “And I’m not a loser stoner either. So thanks but no thanks.”
Richie gripped his chest like he’d just been shot. His smile somehow seemed wider. “You wound me, Eds.”
Eddie pushed passed them. “Don’t call me that.”
As Eddie got into the shower later that day, feeling the sweat melt from his body, he made up his mind. He’d be at the pipes that night. Richie had asked him to go after all, and how could he say no to an old friend?
Warmth spread over him, not only from the water falling onto his shoulders and trailing down his body but the memories that flooded his thoughts. They had been friends when they were younger.
“Best friends,” Richie said, holding Eddie under his arm. His knuckles dug into Eddie’s scalp, messing up his carefully gelled hair.
“Stop it, Rich!” Eddie pushed him, his hands gripping the taller boy’s hip. “God, ya know, I hate it when you do that!” He straightened his bright colored polo shirt, flattening his hair with his casted arm.
“I can’t help it, Spaghetti!” He pinched his cheek, muttering ‘cute, cute, cute!’ and making kissy noises.
“Gross.” Eddie’s ears turned pink.
Eddie lathered the strawberry shampoo into his hair with both hands, massaging his headache away. The fruity scent made him think of summer. The sun making his skin burn. His lungs working harder than usual as he ran around the Denbrough’s backyard…
“You’ll never catch me, slowpoke!” Richie yelled over his shoulder as his Hawaiian shirt flapped under his arms. His laugh echoed in the backyard.
“You’re n-n-not being fair, T-trashmouth!” Bill yelled from the sidelines.
Eddie frowned, pumping his arms harder, moving his legs faster.
“Fuck,” Richie muttered as he fell behind Eddie by a few steps. Stan yelled praise to Eddie from where he stood next to Bill.
Eddie jumped up and hit the windchime on the fence they were running to. He won the race.
Richie jogged up and hit the windchime with his hand (without having to jump, much to Eddie’s annoyance). He huffed out a breath. “Damn. Good job, Spaghetti.”
“Don’t call me that.” Eddie wheezed.
“Boys! Strawberries!” They spun around to see Mrs. Denbrough coming out of the back door with a plate of fruit in her hand and Georgie on her hip.
They made eye contact then started running, shoving each other and laughing the whole way.
Eddie sighed, turning the porcelain knob. He stepped out of the shower and ran a towel over his hair. He wrapped the towel around his body and padded into his room. He picked up his gym bag, throwing it onto his bed.
Richie bounced up and down, the bed creaking noisily.
“Cut it out, Rich! You’re going to break the bed.” Eddie chastised from where he sat cross-legged on the floor, a comic book in his hands.
Richie landed on his stomach on the mattress, catching his chin in his hands. “You’re right. Can’t break two Kaspbrak beds. Since I destroyed your mom’s last night.”
Eddie rolled his eyes, not looking up from the comic pages. “You’re disgusting.”
Richie rolled on his back, laughing at the ceiling.
Eddie removed his dance shoes from the bag, throwing them on the hook next to his closet door. He emptied the rest of the bag out onto the bed. He threw his sweaty clothes in his hamper. He lifted the empty sandwich box he’d had since first grade; he ran his finger over the ‘EK’ and ‘RT’ scratched into the top.
Eddie blushed, picking the scab on his knee under the table. He pushed his green sandwich box across the lunch table toward Richie. Eddie felt bad for the other 7-year-old. He seemed to forget his lunch bag as he ran out the door every morning. Richie always sat with the rest of their classmates, tummy rumbling as he eyed their chicken nuggets and peanut butter sandwiches.
Richie looked up from staring at Bills lunch with a frantic gaze. Eddie had never seen someone look so crazy over baby carrots. Richie looked down at the sandwich in front of him. Eddie smiled at him. Richie smiled back, picking up half of the sandwich and shoving it in his mouth- jelly spilling on the front of his shirt.
Eddie threw the container back in his bag. He pulled on boxers and fell backward onto his bed, sighing up at his ceiling.
Everything had changed once high school had started. Eddie got more uptight, and serious about dancing. He spent most of his time in the library nervous about school. Richie got more laid back, and serious about making silly voices that made girls giggle. Eddie heard that he was always under the bleachers out by the football field, cracking jokes and smoking pot.
Eddie folded his hands on his stomach, getting lost in his thoughts of his faded friendship.
“That’s my boy right there!” Beverly whispered as Eddie straddled his second-floor windowsill.
Eddie put his finger to his lips, shushing his friend. “Bev! My mom will hear you!”
She took a pack of cigarettes from her pocket, watching him shimmy his way down the drain pipe next to his window. “Sorry. It’s just not every day that my hard-working nerd friend wants to party with me.” She lit the stick that was between her lips.
When his feet hit the ground, his let out a shaky breath. What was he doing? He looked up at his window, his curtains flowing out in the wind with the dark night sky as it’s background. He felt stupid.
“Bev…” He whispered.
“What?” She began to walk down his lawn, toward the street.
“Do you… Do you think I have a chance with a guy like Richie?” He crossed his arms over his chest as he walked beside her, his hands cradling his elbows. He felt comfort in the softness of his sweater.
She let out a breath of smoke before turning her head to him. She smiled. “’Course, Eddie. He’d be dumb not to want you.” She knocked shoulders with him. “Just because we’re all different people now doesn’t mean we’re not the losers club deep down.”
Eddie nodded. He bit his lip. “That’s the problem, though.” Bev cocked her head to the side, questioning. “He is dumb.”
She chuckled, shaking her head. “You got me there, Eddie.”
Eddie didn’t know what he expected the pipes to be like in all honesty. He was sure it wasn’t what he walked into with Bev though.
It was just a bunch of broken down habitats covered in dirt and terrible graffiti done by teenagers that think dick pictures are hilarious. There were skateboarders everywhere, shredding away on their colorfully painted boards. There were random groups of teens scattered around. Kids were screaming and laughing and tilting back liquor bottles. He felt suddenly overwhelmed when he saw Angelica.
She was on Richie’s back, his large hands cupping her thighs. They were surrounded by a cloud of smoke like they were in their own little bubble together. She slowly took the pipe down from her mouth and put it to Richie’s lips. He closed his eyes as she lit the end with the lighter in her hand. Richie inhaled, his chest rising. Eddie held his breath.
Richie’s lips were pink around the glass pipe pressed to them, the same soft, light pink of the girls’ outfits at the ballet. His lashes brushed against his freckled cheeks. Eddie remembered a time when he would count each freckle in the pillow forts in Richie’s living room during sleepovers.
“Eddie?” Beverly’s voice broke him away from the scene in front of him.
“Yeah?” He rolled up the sleeves of his sweater, his nerves getting the best of him.
“Are you okay?” She put a hand on his shoulder.
He nodded, eyes roaming the party in front of him again.  He noticed the large metal barrel full of ice, beer and soda cans next to where Richie and Angelica swayed together. “I- I think I’m just going to get something to drink.”
Beverly smiled. “Sounds good.” She split away from him, going on a search to find Ben and Mike.
Inhale. Exhale. You can do this. Eddie started walking toward the couple. He reached the barrel. He pushed the ice around digging through for a specific drink. Another arm joined his.
“Diet Cherry.” Richie pulled the soda from the bottom right away. “Your favorite.” He handed it to Eddie.
“Uh, thanks.” Eddie could feel his ears turning pink as he tapped the top of the can with his fingernail.
Richie smiled down at him, his eyes a bit puffy. He threw his arm around Eddie’s shoulders. “I’m glad you came tonight, Eddie Spaghetti.”
“Me too, Trashmouth.” He said with a smile on his lips and butterflies in his stomach.
Eddie felt that maybe this was the start of something wonderful.
How is this even about the song? Who knows. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed it! I’m feeling BalletDancer!Eddie so this story might resurface with a different plot. Or if I get a lot of feedback (pls love me) I’ll continue this one! Thank you!
