My mom's reaction to House pranking Wilson with the child in Gut Check (showed the episode to her for hockey reasons) was "that's mean" and "that would end my friendship". Which would be understandable but unfortunately (or fortunately imo) they're attached at the hip lol

i remember being excited about house md having a hockey episode (i love hockey it’s like my entire personality) but i completely wasn’t expecting house to put wilson through dad simulator by hiring a child actor to pretend to be wilson’s long lost son to prove to wilson that he isn’t ready to be a father??? and like yeah wilson is pissed at him but in the end he’s relieved that he doesn’t have a kid which like 1) ouch and 2) um shouldn’t we unpack that? but we kinda can’t because this was literally just before the cancer arc. oh and this is a hockey themed episode. yay.

like, "I was hired by the mother" would not fly here; there's a whole formal process for it and it's only allowed if there are very good reasons for it (I'm pretty sure that the lack of evidence in this case would not allow for it)

so okay I have yet to finish this episode yet so I don't know how it's gonna end but why does noone talk about Wilson's son???? like??? why have I seen no posts about this little guy that fills Wilson with such joy

"the fact that you're the only fruit on your family tree is getting to you." now i know wilson has brothers and parents and we don't actually know he doesn't have neices or nephews (i don't think) so there are definitely People on his family tree. so what makes him the only fruit..............

The versions of Flim and Flam in my head that I love are so much just “taking what they were in the Cider episode and running with it�� that for every new episode that features them they’re growing further and further away from their canon counterparts. And you know what. I’m fine with that.

I just can't think of what House could possibly have meant by "You're the only fruit on your family tree" because yeah there's the gay usage of the word fruit but even if you interpret it as him being an only child or whatever... he isn't? What the hell is going on.

thinking about how chimney blames bobby for not letting them all work together and find that third impossible option when faced with two terrible ones, letting them at least try to save his life.

but the thing is that they did, they did save bobby's life, over and over and over. the 118 did. that's what the episode opens with: tommy saving bobby from dying the way his family did. tommy couldn't have done that, couldn't have rescued bobby & athena from the cruise ship years later, if chimney hadn't carried tommy out of that fire back in the early days.

and chimney isn't the only one who's saved bobby that way. athena talks him of the ledge when bobby's been dosed. eddie confronts bobby with his feelings and keeps him from relapsing. buck saves him by being buck like we see in the coma dream, but also by being there with hen in season one when bobby finally opens up and asks for help. they've saved him over and over and over.
