Common Mistakes to Avoid When Using Scaffolding
When using scaffolding, common mistakes to avoid include improper assembly, which can lead to structural instability and accidents. Neglecting to use guardrails and toe boards increases the risk of falls. Overloading scaffolding with too much weight can cause it to collapse. Failing to conduct regular inspections can allow wear and damage to go unnoticed. Additionally, not securing the scaffold to a solid structure can result in it tipping over. Always ensure that workers are trained and follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries.

monday: driving around with frankie, brief demo at haight library (i used the brush cutter and it was broken so it kept shaking me and it was a nightmare to use and then it kept dying and not starting) perks: stopped at randall museum and saw chickens and reptiles and a raccoon (it got fed a hard-boiled egg), saw cool little scale model of haight st at library after work hit up hort lib for picture inspiration i’ve been thinking a lot about what to plant on a hillside not a lot of ideas still i’m pretty weak on my plant placement/selection
also the bike ride to christopher playground was uphill and i did it because i’m amazing, which i already knew

after work i rode up twin peaks for no reason thank god for footbrake cuz dem downhills yo
wednesday: rain. safeworkpractices then driving around bv with adrian. clearing gutters. looking for hazards. blowing steps. planning wattle projects. after work hank picked me up and drove me home and we talked about our rotations ate hummus and snap peas and chips went home rewatched eternal sunshine baked some matcha shit but i’m not feelin super confident about em

How to Properly Inspect Commercial Scaffolding
Properly inspecting commercial scaffolding is crucial for ensuring worker safety and compliance with regulations. Begin by checking that the scaffolding is erected on a stable, level base and that all components are correctly assembled according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Inspect the entire structure for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion, focusing on joints, bolts, and welds. Ensure all guardrails, toe boards, and access ladders are securely in place.
