heyyy! just found your ao3 today and was wondering if you're planning to come back to your firstprince fics? i fell absolutely in love with your writing (i too enjoy seeing Henry hurt and then comforted😄)

I've gotten a lot of questions about this (that I forgot to answer but still read and appreciated all of them, thank you all! ♡) I technically don't consider my main 3 rwrb stories discontinued. Meaning while I don't know when they will be continued I do have it on my mind to keep working on them at some point!

And hey, nanowrimo is coming up and I have no main project to work on, so I'd say getting some chapters this November is quite likely!

Sorry if this is not be the answer you were hoping for! However, I do have a full time job and original fiction to work on - hope you understand!

GOT had really strong character writing in its early seasons and once you get attached to characters, you kinda want to see what happens to them.

also Everytime I accidentally watch a bit of an ep of GoT I get hooked for a bit and dragged along behind the horse. It’s so....it’s very good at making you think: ok but what’s gonna happen to them?? Maybe because its story is so dispersed among so many different characters? And the high stakes of course. And the worldbuilding is actually pretty internally consistent for the most part (I ..THINK? in season 1 and 2) and they put a lot of money into making the fantasy world come to life. And people are obsessed with power and the whole series is about power. But surely that shouldn’t be ENOUGH? But it is... If I hadn’t been repeatedly squicked the fuck out by the show and also given up on investing in any character bc that’s just completely fucking pointless, I would have watched it for entertainment purposes - not true - the character and thematic inconsistency (Dany’s) was what had me abandon it actually now that I think about it. SO WHY do other people still like it SO much that they can ignore all that. Or they don’t even see it, and hate on characters for making stupid decisions and I’m like....it’s bad writing mates.

Unfortunately, this particular fic is currently on hold until further notice—if I find the time/motivation to write fanfic anytime soon, my priority is to finish the epilogue for volatile times. Thank you for your interest though! Sorry I don't have any better news for you rn.

oh of course comments are best! sorry, i just sent a message here bc this is where I saw the post about it being put on hold so I figured you were more likely to see a message here. Would you consider reformatting it or something on ao3 to indicate that it's a chaptered continuous fic? bc i am WIP-phobic and only read it because it initially said it was just a collection of oneshots. but then it wasnt and i was too invested by then to back out

Yeah. No, what I meant was that the best way to support your authors and make them want to update is to actually... leave comments... while reading... Instead of just reaching out because you ran out of chapters?

As for the fic, the description clearly states "Originally a collection of one-shots based on tumblr prompts, but now a series of interconnected prompt-based chapters regarding..." while also not being marked complete. Which is what it is. It is a collection of one shots plus a series of connected chapters.

Also, as a content creator I must add that waiting for the content to finish before you actually show that you care about it is often why fics don't get finished in the first place! Just my two cents!

hi i just finished everything you have posted for your stairs fic and was wondering if you had any clue when you might update it? I know you put it on hold until february but I didn't know that when i started it and now im so invested ;_;

Uhhh... Never? 😅 Welp, I'm sorry I currently have no plans to update that one tbh. I am slowly slowly working on an update for villains (playing his game) and occasionally add a few words to the apocalypse ending so that might end up being a full chapter eventually 😂

I mean, is it impossible that I will update eventually? No. But right now I don't have any plans for it :/ Thanks for the interest though!

P.S. The best way to tell an author you want new chapters is to leave comments as you read, just saying~

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you liked it. It does seem to be the most popular one... I have no plans of dropping that one, don't worry. As long as there are prompts in my inbox (not unsolicited!) I'll probably keep it going.

Apoc has always been a bit on hot water about being continued and I can't say the thought of dropping it wasnt there but it is quite close to the end so I'll most likely get it there!

As for phg (or villains as i call it) I haven't really decided whether I'm going to continue it at all? Like, I enjoyed writing the first chapter a lot but people weren't really interested in it and with my schedule it's hard to commit to something like that :/ I know a lot of people like to wait until there are more chapters to read something but you know fic writers upload chapter by chapter for a reason...^^;

Five Lines from 2020

Thank you so much to @caitybuglove23 for the tag (though bold of you to assume I like my own writing)! According to AO3 statistics I wrote 227169 words this year (and that's not including original writing or the 9k alt ending for apocalypse that I haven't uploaded yet XD) so figuring this out was hard.

Thanks to all the lovely readers who mentioned these excerpts in their comments because I would have had no chance of figuring these out myself!! XD

Have some overdrawn metaphors:

Henry smiles at him and Alex wants to lift his shoulders up himself, even if he has to hold the entire weight of the sky like a goddamn modern Atlas just to make sure it wouldn’t crush his person, the whole world be damned.

He secures him in the crook of his arm and rocks him ever so gently, soothing him first in English, then switching to a few phrases in Spanish. Henry has no idea what they mean. “ Shh, bebe, shh. Nunca eres demasiado joven para rebelarte. Calmate para mí para que podamos molestar a tu papá. ”

Also from in white. (I actually both like and hate this line because it feels very ooc but damn if it wasn't a good line XD)

It brings with it both a sense of loss and wonder, of how two people can get so close and entangled in each other’s lives then leave like they were never there at all. No marks but memories that will fade and fold in on themselves until they say what his mind wants them to say, until his memory of her might not be her at all.

Before the Beginning: three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project

Three sentences XD You know me. From volatile times.

“Do you remember what to do every night? Do you remember what I taught you about using the gun?” Shaan asks, throwing a piece of luggage in the back of the car. He looks over at Henry, notices the pallor on his face, the stubborn set to his jaw. “You are going to be fine.”

“And you?” Henry says through clenched teeth. “I should come with you.”

“You will be safer here, Sir.”

“Then stay here with me.” Henry grabs his arm, crumpling the sleeve of his jacket between his fingers. “You don’t have to go.” His eyes are wide, desperate, even if he won’t let it show in his voice.

Shaan sighs, placing a hand on top of Henry’s and giving it a comforting squeeze. “I need to do this. I need to see if we can make our way out of here and go back home. It is my duty to get you back to your family.”

“Your duty is to stay with me!” There it is. The waver in his voice. Shaan needs to calm him down before it gets too far. Before he actually manages to convince him not to leave.

“I will be right back. I promise.” 

It hurts to leave him like this. But it’s his job to make sure Henry is okay, even if it means teaching him he can survive without him.

Red: What type of writer’s block do you experience the most?

Mmmm, I usually write through writer’s block anyway, because I’ve tried to make writing a habit no matter what, but my biggest issue I guess would be having too many projects to work on and ending up working on none because I can’t decide. This usually happens only in fanfic (and might be why I don’t finish anything e_e) , as I try to work on only one original project at a time.

Black: Would you want to live in one of the fictional worlds you’ve created?

Have you seen--?  Hahah, nooo my fictional worlds are... not great. And I tend to drift towards urban fantasy a lot so there’s not usually much of a difference, at least not enough to guarantee that even if I went in one of them I would be in on the action.
