Sam and Bucky clean up a bit, mopping, vacuuming, dusting. They insist that Joaquín doesn’t have to help but it feels wrong not to. 

After doing the kitchen, Sam plops himself down on the couch where Joaquín’s resting. He taps Joaquín’s arm and leans in close, “Watch this.” 

Bucky’s also in the lounge busy vacuuming the carpet. He bends, slides a hand under the other couch and just…lifts it, vacuums under it, and sets it down like it doesn’t weigh a good few pounds. 

“Jeez,” Joaquín says, staring. He knew he had a thing for strength and competency or maybe just muscles flexing from strenuous work because he’s had countless fantasies watching Sam in training that made sparring with him, well, hard, but he might just be dreaming now.

Bucky does it with the coffee table too but this time he catches them ogling and objectifying him. 

“Oh, come on.” He’s obviously going for exasperation but a smile betrays him. “Really? You two are just going to sit there watching me?” 

“Ola, papi,” Joaquín says and motions to him and Sam. “You missed a spot over here.”

Sam snorts and nudges Joaquín with his shoulder. Bucky comes stalking over, dragging the vacuum behind him. He grabs the end of the couch they're sitting on, lifts it as if he’s hoisting up a sack of feathers, and cleans underneath. 

Joaquín laughs and grabs onto Sam so they don’t tumble off the other end. “It’s kinda hot,” he says and Sam smiles at him, gripping him tight around his hips. 

“Yeah, don’t tell him that he’ll get a big head.” 

Bucky sets them down then gets on top of them, his thighs between each of theirs, one hand on Sam’s cheek, the other on Joaquin’s, and kisses them in that order too.

I'd love to say this is an introspective and literary look at their relationship but...nah 🍆

Sam, Bucky, Joaquín and the Shower

Sam and Bucky have been away on a mission and Joaquín is very excited to welcome them back, especially as he hasn't touched himself at all while they've been away.

This was supposed to be for a bunch of bingos and events that I never managed to accomplish 🙈 but nevermind!

Joaquin jumped onto the bed, double wide and reinforced, they’d learnt the hard way anything less wouldn’t last, and answered the video call.  “Hi,” he smiled, propping his chin on his hand and flicking his eyes between the two men on the screen, Sam and Bucky. Bucky moved away from the camera, lifting Sam’s flight suit and tidying their locker while Sam made his way out of the hanger into the glowing sunset.  “Hi, Babybird, you miss me?” He winked and Joaquin’s heart soared, of course he missed them!  “‘Course I did, Sammy. Are you okay?” Joaquin’s eyes flicked over the screen, trying to see any scratches or bruises on Sam’s face. In the background Bucky continued tidying their kit, but he didn’t seem to be limping or injured either. 

I really need to get back to this one! Thank you for nudging me!

Ficlet: The Little One Said (Joaquin x Bucky x Sam)

“You pushed me out of the bed,” Joaquín exclaimed, his voice laced with mock indignation. His eyes sparkled with a playful mixture of disgust and amusement as he looked up at Bucky and Sam. Sitting cross-legged on the floor at the foot of the bed, he playfully shook his head at them, unable to suppress a smile. 

Sam couldn’t contain his laughter, burying his face into the pillow in a futile attempt to muffle the infectious sound. Meanwhile, Bucky simply grinned mischievously, fully aware of the playful chaos they had caused.

#46: ...out of envy or jealousy (this turned out pretty sambuckyquin i'm ngl)

Joaquín's been getting a bit bold as of late.

He'd known the baby falcon had had a thing for Sam this whole time, of course, had watched him flirt and blush his way through every conversation back when Sam and himself were still firmly just frenemies.

It had been kind of fun to watch then, is still kind of fun to watch now, even though Bucky's less and less sure with each new flirty remark that Joaquín's not actually trying to shoot his shot.

Bucky trusts Sam. He knows they're solid. They've even talked about Joaquín's obvious crush on occasion, though it's pretty obvious to the both of them each time that the conversation's still ongoing.

Bucky's a little tipsy tonight though, halfway to drunk off that heavy Asgardian ale he really never should have touched, and he's teetering over the line of annoyance.

Joaquín's an affectionate drunk, as he and Sam are both learning tonight.

He's got an arm around Sam on the couch they're sitting on, and is leaning over on him, his head on his shoulder. Sam's got that amused look in his eyes he gets when Bucky is being particularly ridiculous or stubborn about something that doesn't actually matter, and something flares a little hot in his stomach at seeing it aimed at someone else.

Whatever Joaquín's saying is being mumbled into Sam's shoulder, so Bucky doesn't actually hear their conversation till he gets up closer.

"...look so amazing when you're flying, Sam," he says, voice filled with awe. "You always look so beautiful up there."

Bucky sees green. "He does, doesn't he?" he says sincerely, hoping Sam can't hear any trace of jealousy in his voice. He sits down on Sam's other side, pressing their legs as close together as he can, and tilts Sam's head towards him. "Every day I wonder how I got so lucky."

He leans in, then, capturing Sam's lips with his own. He makes a bit of a show of it, admittedly, parting his lips and pulling Sam's head in closer. He kisses him for just a little too long to be polite, but not too long it can't be explained away by the last drink he'd downed.

It's not quite long enough to really savor the taste of the whiskey Sam's been nursing on his own tongue, but he figures they've got all night for that later.

He pulls back slowly, relishing in the way it takes Sam just a moment too long to open his eyes after, and places his hand down on Sam's thigh, entirely too high up not to be deliberate.

When Sam turns back to Joaquín, just on the side of dazed, Bucky turns towards him too, smug and satisfied.

He finds the baby bird staring back at him already, his eyes wide and his lips parted as he looks between them both, breath a little heavier as his gaze catches on Sam's chest, on Bucky's arms, on the edge of a hickey poking out from under the collar of Bucky's shirt.

Bucky moves his hand up even higher on Sam's thigh.

They might just have to revisit that Joaquín conversation again, he thinks.

Literally just read this and it’s so so good. I’ve been on a Sambuckyquin train recently and the ride has been wonderful. I’m still loyal to Sambucky though.

"Nah," Bucky says, sits back, and loosens his tie. "Actually, if you want to pursue it, you should."

Sam's brain takes a second to catch up and all he can do is blink dumbly at his partner. "Hey, what the fuck?"

Joaquin had to laugh to himself when he entered his room, just to hear that come through the shared door between their rooms. It was a shitty motel, something under-the-radar (read: gross) during a mission; he shouldn’t be surprised that he can hear everything. He should probably be more surprised that Sam’s actually letting the carpet touch his knees.

He bangs on the door just to make his point. “Hey, keep it down,” he shouts, because it stopped being awkward a long time ago that they fuck after fighting. It happens; he’s used to it. J can’t blame them either. He just prefers swimming it off if he can. 

Bucky bangs his fist back. “You try being quiet when he’s--oh, fuck.”

Joaquin laughs again, leaning his forehead against the door. “When he’s what, Bucky?”

“When he’s--” and then Bucky lets out a noise that shouldn’t exist in real life, that pulls something deep around his gut. 

“When he’s what?” and Joaquin sounds just as broken.
