SAP Role Review | SAP Authorization Review | SAP Role Redesign | ToggleNow
An authorization redesign in SAP is critical to strengthen security, streamline access governance, and enhance overall efficiency within the SAP system. Over time, businesses evolve, and with these changes come shifts in roles & responsibilities. Often, initial authorization setups in SAP may not align accurately with these changes, leading to potential security gaps or unnecessary Segregation of Duties. Therefore, a redesign becomes necessary to ensure that the right individuals have access to the appropriate resources, mitigating risks associated with unauthorized data access or system misuse.

By undertaking an authorization redesign, enterprises can expect improved compliance adherence and reduced vulnerability to internal and external risks. This redesign allows for a thorough reassessment of user privileges, enabling organizations to align permissions more closely with current job functions. Moreover, a redesigned authorization framework fosters greater transparency and accountability across the system. Overall, the necessity for an authorization redesign in SAP is pivotal in adapting to evolving business landscapes, and ensuring seamless functionality within the system.

10 tips to safeguard your critical business data in SAP systems

Secure your Critical Business Data
Security and risk are becoming increasingly challenging as businesses become more connected. It requires data sharing between different systems, applications, and enterprises.
According to Forrester, companies will double their budgets for data strategy over the next five years and according to Gartner, transparency and traceability are among the Top Ten Strategic Technology Trends for 2022. Smart spaces, they claim, will offer better business opportunities.
It was found in another recent report by Onapsis that between 50,000 and 100,000 organizations use SAP systems that are vulnerable. An example that made the world aware of the importance of data security is the case with the New Zealand government. An immense data breach in which firearms, addresses, and names of gun owners were exposed led SAP itself to apologize to the government. There was no hacking involved in the breach, but 66 dealers got access to sensitive information because of a change in user access given to dealers participating in the buyback scheme.
“Between 50,000 to 100,000 organizations use SAP systems that are vulnerable.”
Apparently, SAP is working on various solutions to increase the security of data. In addition, it reminds clients that security is a collaborative effort, and emphasizes the importance of proper system configuration.
The importance of security in SAP
Data breaches and ransomware attacks are on the rise, and the global pandemic presents new opportunities for cybercriminals. Many employees today access corporate resources through virtual private networks (VPNs). The shift to remote work has resulted in a more permissive VPN policy, which compromises corporate networks in an indirect way.
There is a need for IT security teams to accomplish more with less budget or with the same budget. It is part of their job responsibility to manage day-to-day IT and security operations, find and retain skilled security talent, identify and address security capability gaps, and maximize the return on investment (ROI).
Almost seven out of ten organizations do not place a high priority on securing their SAP systems. Considering the recent spike in cyber-attacks, it is essential to secure SAP systems. We have put together a list of 10 tips you can use immediately to secure your critical business data in SAP system.
1. Own it – Don’t blame
When a security breach occurs, who is responsible? A recent survey by Onapsis found that half of the respondents believe SAP is to blame for security breaches – not anyone within their own organization. Another 30% believe that no one is responsible. A small percentage of people believe that the CIO or CISO is responsible for a security breach.
50% blame SAP for security breaches
30% have no idea
20% say it is CIO/CISO’s responsibility
63% of C-Level executives underestimate the risks associated with insecure SAP applications
The dangers associated with insecure SAP applications are underestimated by 63% of C-level executives.
2. Regularly update the EHP & SPS
One of the most significant steps to staying secure is to keep your system up to date. Enhancement packages are delivered by SAP to deliver new innovations/functionality or “enhancements” to customers without disruption. Ensure you have the latest enhancement packs installed, and that you aren’t several versions behind. It is always risky to be a first adopter, but it is also imperative to avoid falling behind (n-1 is always recommended). Technology and computer security are constantly improving, so it is important to keep your system up to date with patches, fixes, updates, and enhancement packs.
As part of its Support Package Stacks, SAP releases periodic security solutions. The Support Package Stacks are patches for a given product that should be applied together. It is recommended that these stacks be applied at least once a year, and SAP specifies the maintenance schedule on its website. In addition, ToggleNow can help you identify your system’s most critical SPSs.
3. The Right SODs make a difference
As business processes rapidly evolve, employee roles and responsibilities are also changing. By establishing boundaries between roles assigned to an employee and conflicts of interest that may arise from the employee’s responsibilities, segregation of duties aims to reduce internal fraud risks. For example, one employee processes a PO while another verifies and approves it. This adds more control and prevents payments to ‘fake’ vendors.
It is becoming more common for mature organisations to look for ways to improve Segregation of Duties management while reducing costs. It is imperative for businesses to integrate an advanced, quick, and easy-to-install Access Management tool that fits with their systems. This will avoid conflicts after an employee’s role or tasks change.
This can be achieved either by implementing the SAP GRC Access Control solution or ToggleNow’s SoD Analysis solution for SAP. The SAP Security Assessment services provided by ToggleNow will identify the right solutions for your organization. Additionally, if you have SAP GRC implemented, explore the various SAP GRC services that are offered by us.
With the help of our SMEs, you will be able to implement the right separation of duties strategies and ensure that you comply with the various regulations and mandates.
4. Ensure the quality of your code
SAP systems typically have over 30 percent proprietary code, depending on the industry. Statistics indicate that one critical security defect occurs for every 1,000 lines of ABAP code.
It is possible that SAP system performance will be adversely affected. It is estimated that the average SAP system contains 2,151 risks, and 70% of enterprises fail to audit their ABAP custom code for compliance and security.
It is possible to simplify the security process for your code. It is no longer necessary for organizations to invest time, money, and manpower in major security projects. An analysis of your code beforehand will enable you to identify and prioritize any risks and issues before you begin an upgrade.
To ensure security, performance, maintainability, robustness, and compliance with ABAP standards, integrate coding and quality assurance into a single activity.
Finally, you should only keep the custom code you need. It introduces unnecessary risks and increases the amount of effort needed for unnecessary code corrections when redundant unused custom code is used.
Wondering how to handle the situation? Here is a solution – SAP Solution Manager CCLM is a fantastic solution that addresses the majority of these requirements. Refer to this blog
5. Implement SAP Solution Manager – Security Optimization Service (SOS)
We are often asked by clients what tools are available to check the security of SAP systems? Additionally, to Early Watch Alert (EWA), SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN) has a Security Optimization Service (SOS) report that focuses on security.
Security Optimization Service for the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP checks the security of your SAP system(s) and perform the following checks:
• Basis administration check • User management check • Super users check • Password check • Spool and printer authorization check • Background authorization check • Batch input authorization check • Transport control authorization check • Role management authorization check • Profile parameter check • SAP GUI Single Sign-On (SSO) check • Certificate Single Sign-On (SSO) check • External authentication check
You’ll need the latest version of SOLMAN and the latest support pack to set this up. The managed system must also be configured and setup in SOLMAN without any errors and the instance is correctly defined in LMDB. (Status Green). Additionally, the OS collector must be running on your target instances and database.
It is important, however, to answer the following before setting up the SOS:
• Does your organization have the capacity to manually review those reports and act on each recommendation? • It is set correctly so that your team has ample time to review and act on the reports.
Read ToggleNow’s success story on this subject. We have implemented Solution Manager 7.2 for one of our clients who is a leading refractory company in India since 1958.
6. Regular health checks keep the system healthy
Yes, you heard that right. Humans and systems alike benefit from regular health checks. Ponemon Institute reports that organizations lack visibility “into the security of SAP applications and lack the expertise to detect, prevent, and respond to cyberattacks quickly.”
Early detection is the key to staying healthy or secure. A frequent ERP system check helps you get a comprehensive picture of your ERP landscape before making changes and identifying areas for improvement. This is just like healthy people need annual checkups and preventative medicine to stay healthy and detect problems early. Regular health checkups can identify security gaps. Additionally, EWA and SOS reports provide an in-depth analysis of the system. According to experts’ recommendations, SAP Solution Manager must be configured to support these modules.
7. Implement an Antivirus scan
How confident are you that the documents attached in SAP are virus-free? A vulnerable code might be included in a file your users use/attach in SAP, allowing hackers to gain access.
If you use SAP software, you should use a virus scanner to protect against computer viruses, and SAP recommends this. However, SAP does not investigate, recommend, or release antivirus software as part of its server product validation program.
Many anti-virus software packages protect your SAP deployments using Deep Security, protecting critical information from threats such as malware, cross-site scripting, and SQL injections.
A Virus Scan Adapter (VSA) must be installed on the host before a Deep Security scan can be performed. SAP note 2081108 explains how to set up and configure the VSA system and SAP note 1494278 provides a list of the AV products that are supported.
Additionally, SAP administrators can define the types of documents that are allowed based on various policies. After selecting the right AV product, this can be determined.
8. Implement re-certification processes
Reviews of dormant IDs and dormant roles make a great start. Regularly reviewing the user IDs and deactivating those that are no longer needed is always recommended. This will not only increase the application’s security but also reduce licensing costs. If you already have an SOP in place and are still performing this activity manually, here is a solution for you. ToggleNow’s UserSentry automates both dormant ID review and Role review by taking the appropriate action according to defined rules. Thus, you can comply with a critical audit requirement.
9. Implement additional Security measures
In addition, we recommend that additional security measures be implemented. Back then, experts used to advise setting up complex password policies like keeping password lengths between 8-12 characters and forcing users to change their passwords frequently. Keeping strong passwords alone is no longer sufficient considering technological advancements.
It is recommended to implement additional security measures such as 2-factor authentication (2FA) or multifactor authentication (MFA), validating a user’s machine ID (aka mac ID) at log-in, and adding geofencing validations, verifying the availability of anti-virus software, checking the firewall status, etc. All these features are included in ToggleNow’s UserSentry application, which helps next-generation enterprises implement them quickly.
10. Transform your business with digital technology
The waterfall era has ended. Agility has won. By embracing digital transformation and getting fast and frequent feedback, organizations can respond quickly to critical security issues. By doing this, security issues aren’t ignored, and crises can be averted. If you are worried about the Subject matter expertise and resource availability, ToggleNow can step in and take over this critical piece. The FourEdge Service offering is a great reliever for many organizations that are seeking to start their GRC transformation journey. Remember to be in the race, or else your competitors will take over.
These are the best tips to secure your critical business data in SAP systems. Talk to our SMEs today and leave rest on us for your business data security.

When to Redesign SAP Roles: During ECC or Post-Migration to S/4HANA or Rise with SAP
Migrating to SAP S/4HANA or adopting RISE/GROW with SAP is a strategic milestone for organizations aiming to modernize their ERP landscape. However, one critical consideration often overlooked during these transitions is the redesign of SAP roles. The timing of this redesign can significantly influence the success of the migration and the overall efficiency. Should you redesign roles during the ECC phase or wait until after the migration to S/4HANA? This blog explores the key factors driving this decision and introduces the S.M.A.R.T framework—a modern approach to SAP role redesign that ensures compliance, efficiency, and business alignment.
Understanding the Need for Role Redesign
SAP roles are pivotal in defining user access, ensuring compliance, and maintaining operational efficiency. Over time, roles in ECC systems often become bloated with unused authorizations or misaligned with current business needs. This can lead to:
Compliance Risks: Excessive authorizations increase the risk of segregation of duties (SoD) violations.
Migration Complications: Legacy roles with redundancies can complicate the migration process to S/4HANA.
Operational Costs: Since the licensing model is based on assignment and not by usage in S/4HANA and RISE, you may need to procure more licenses than required.
A role redesign ensures clean, streamlined, and compliant access structures, setting the stage for a smooth transition and efficient system post-migration.
ls.ECC vs. S/4HANA: When to Redesign Roles?
Aspect
Redesign During ECC
Redesign Post-Migration to S/4HANA
Compliance
Proactively addresses SoD conflicts and access risks.
Allows compliance alignment with new functionalities post-migration.
Migration Complexity
Simplifies migration with clean and optimized roles.
Reduces redundant effort, focusing only on relevant roles in the new system
Alignment with New Features
May require rework later to incorporate S/4HANA-specific functionalities.
Ensures roles are tailored to new modules, Fiori apps, and processes.
Timeline and Resources
Increases project timelines due to pre-migration workload.
Defers redesign efforts, potentially affecting initial system efficiency.
Business Process Analysis
Limited to existing ECC processes, with potential misalignment after migration.
Better aligned with current and optimized business processes in S/4HANA.
Redesigning SAP Roles with RISE with SAP
If you are moving to RISE with SAP, it is advisable to conduct a complete role redesign during the ECC phase. Once the migration is complete, perform a retrofit to align roles with the cloud-specific requirements introduced by RISE. This approach addresses the unique security, integration, and scalability considerations of a cloud-oriented transformation. You might have many questions at this juncture – What is the best approach? Which tools must be considered? Are there any accelerators that can be used? Can we use stock ready/ready to deploy role structures?
Challenges with Stock Ready Rulesets
Many system integrators offer pre-packaged or stock-ready rulesets as part of their role redesign services. While these rulesets might appear to save time and effort, they often come with significant challenges, making them unsuitable for many businesses. Here’s why the stock-ready approach is not recommended:
Lack of Customization: Stock-ready rulesets are designed to be generic and may not align with the specific needs of your industry or business processes. This can result in inadequate or excessive authorizations.
Compliance Risks: These pre-packaged rulesets may not fully address industry-specific compliance requirements, leaving gaps that could lead to audit findings or regulatory penalties.
Misalignment with Business Processes: Every organization has unique workflows and processes. Stock-ready rulesets may not account for these nuances, leading to inefficiencies and user frustrations.
Post-Implementation Challenges: Organizations often need to spend additional time and resources customizing these rulesets post-implementation, negating the perceived benefits of a quick deployment.
Instead of relying on stock-ready rulesets, organizations should invest in a tailored role redesign approach. This ensures that roles are aligned with specific business processes, compliance requirements, and future scalability needs, delivering long-term value and efficiency. This is where S.M.A.R.T approach/framework can be a life saver.

Conclusion
The decision to redesign SAP roles during ECC or post-migration to S/4HANA or RISE with SAP depends on your organization’s priorities, resources, and timeline. Redesigning during ECC can simplify the migration process, while post-migration redesign allows alignment with new functionalities. For RISE with SAP, role redesign becomes even more critical to address cloud-specific requirements.
Moreover, organizations should avoid the pitfalls of stock-ready rulesets and opt for a customized approach that aligns with their unique requirements. By investing in a well-planned redesign, organizations can unlock the full potential of SAP S/4HANA or RISE with SAP, driving operational excellence and business growth.

If you got a boyfriend, I'm jealous of him. But if you're single, that's honestly worse [Tyler x Reader x Bjorn] [NSFW, 18+ ONLY]

He doesn't know what's worse; his cousin's girlfriend or the fact that he can't get her off his damn mind.
A/N: 18+ only!!! i promise igddtdts is STILL in the works but I wanted to get this lil brain bunny out ehehehehe yes the song is a line from gorgeous by taylor swift also PS this is a FIC in no way do I condone cheating or anything like that so like. Don't go out and do that, it's bad!!!!! I'm DEBATING a part 2 for this but we'll see
Warnings: jealous behavior, possessive thoughts, Temptation™️, cheating, Bjorn knows he's fucked up here but he makes no efforts to change LMAO, exhibitionism, accidental overhearing of Sex, Cheeky Wank Mention™️, sexual acts, Tyler's face gets ridden, unprotected sex (wear a condom!!!), reader is a lil bit of an attention seeking minx ehehe, footsie
He can't stand her.
Tyler's new girlfriend is a sweet thing, always attached to him at the hip, it seems.
She works down at the housing offices, had met Tyler when he'd came by to pay rent and sparks had flown. Or some shite.
Tyler is head over heels, acting like a fucking sap most days. It's not surprising, he'd acted as such with Rain when that doomed relationship had been a thing.
But Rain and Tyler had broken up (damn near split the entire group too, fuck you very much), had been over for some years now, it was natural for his cousin to go out and get out there again.
Hell, Bjorn had encouraged it. In less than polite terms, of course.
But damn, did Tyler need to get fucking laid. His cousin had been tense more often than not, always frowning, always moping.
Sad sod.
And so, he'd met her.
He'd made some dumb joke about rent that Bjorn couldn't even bother to remember, and she'd supposedly found it hilarious, and bam, here they were, going strong a year later.
He hadn't minded her, at first.
Sure, her laugh was always the loudest, easy to pick out amongst others. She laughed way too easily, seemed to find everything funny.
Sure, her smile was the brightest, brighter than any star Bjorn could recall seeing. It was toothy, framed by perfect lips, which looked oh so sof-
But then that had started.
His thoughts tended to wander, now.
She would show up to the shitty bar they'd deigned their hang out, wearing those damn pencil skirts that hugged her hips and backside just so, or those slacks that made her legs look longer. Her blouse would be untucked, a button or two undone and her elegant neck exposed. Sometimes her eyes locked with his for a beat too long and he felt a fucking current shoot up his spine.
Innocent enough.
But oh, how Bjorn had thought about tearing that skirt right off of her body, collapsing to his knees and feasting on her pussy until the only name she knew was his. Hell, he'd do it in front of Tyler, if he had to, just to get the fucking point across-
Fuck, he was fucked.
If there was a hell, he was going straight there. Normal blokes didn't fantasise about fucking their cousin's girlfriend. A cheeky wank or two over it, maybe, but god, Bjorn felt unhinged.
He could feel his self control slipping, with every interaction, with every meeting of eyes.
He felt insane every time he saw his cousin's hands on you. An arm around your shoulders, a hand on your thigh, a finger tucking your hair behind your ear.
All instinctive, sweet touches between a couple. Nothing offensive.
And yet Bjorn wanted to set himself on fucking fire every time he saw it.
Jesus, maybe he needed to get laid.
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
You let out a strangled moan as Tyler licks another hot, wet stripe from your core to your clit, your fingers tightening in his hair as you ground down on his face.
"That's a good girl," he groans, hands tightening on your hips, rocking you to and fro against his face. He gently sucks your clit into his mouth, before soothing it with his tongue, releasing it briefly. "Always ride my face so fuckin' well, darlin', always look so fuckin' good using me to get yourself off."
"Tyler-" you damn near sob, bucking your hips faster, and faster, as you feel that ever familiar tightening sensation that signals your orgasm is approaching. "Baby, fuck- I'm so fucking close-"
He groans again, removing his mouth and staring up at you, panting softly. His handsome face is soaked in your slick, his eyes dark as they hungrily rove over your figure. A boyish grin lights up his face as you whine. He stands to his full height, towering over you as he backs you over to your desk.
"The blinds aren't down-" you hiss, only to be silenced by a kiss that tastes of you.
"So?" he hums, nosing at your neck, kissing his way down to your collarbone, where he lightly nips a mark into your skin. He kisses further, over your clothed breast, swirling his tongue against the pebbling nipple. "All people are gonna see is me fuckin' my girl, just the way she wants it."
You moan softly, rubbing your thighs together at the thought. It's sinful, downright naughty, even. But it gets you... well, hot. Thinking about someone happening to glance in, to see Tyler balls deep inside of you, making you forget your own name.
Fuck, it makes you damn near gush a fucking flood.
Tyler smiles that boyish grin again at your moan. "Such a good girl for me," he coos, as he unzips his jeans, shoving them down his legs along with his boxers. He pumps his hand up and down his shaft once, then twice, gathering the precum slowly forming at the head and stroking it up and down his cock with a stifled sigh. "Fuck, jesus- you want it-"
"Raw," you whisper, leaning back on your desk, legs spread wide for him. "Wanna feel you, Tyler. Need you to cum inside me so fucking bad, baby, I've been aching for it-"
He groans again, stepping between your spread legs and rubbing the head of his cock through your wetness. Both of your breaths catch in your chests, your eyes locking as he finally pushes his cock inside of you.
Your twin moans echo in the small building. Thank god it's your lunch break.
He doesn't start off gentle, like he usually does. No, neither of you have the patience today. The pace is damn near brutal, his hips snapping fiercely against yours, your cunt aching in the most delicious way possible as he fucks you hard and fast.
It's a miracle your desk is still standing, by the time you're done.
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
"You alright, cuz?" Tyler grins as he claps Bjorn on the shoulder, collapsing into a seat beside him at the bar.
Bjorn grunts, not quite looking at him as he fidgets with the tab on his can of beer.
Tyler arches a brow. "Fucks sake, must've been a shite day if it's got you all quiet."
Rather the oppsite, Bjorn wants to spit back, Got to hear your girlfriend moaning and begging to get filled with cum, got enough material to fuel a thousand masturbation fantasies and fucking more. Close the blinds next time you fucking exhibitionist.
He of course says none of that.
"Summit like that." Bjorn shrugs instead. "So where's-"
"Hey," you grin, sliding into the seat beside Tyler. Bjorn almost groans.
Of fucking course it was the skirt today. God, he hoped some fucking grunt would come along and fire a pulse rifle into his head.
"Sup?" he greets, barely looking at you.
You're well used to Bjorn's behaviour by now but...
Well, that won't do.
You're in love with Tyler, yeah. Absolutely devoted to him alone, but...
You like the attention that Bjorn desperately tries not to give you. You like the struggle of watching him try not to stare at your ass in a skirt, or your tits in your blouse. You like watching his jaw tick and his knuckles tighten on his glass whenever Tyler gets handsy.
It's thrilling.
It's maddening when his eyes aren't on you.
God forbid he even thinks about looking at another girl.
You shift in your seat, crossing one leg over the other, completely casual.
Your foot stretches out, casually gliding up and doen Bjorn's calf. He tenses, looking at you with confusion, his brow furrowed in thought. Perhaps he thought you'd aimed for Tyler and missed.
You meet his eyes, sliding your foot up his calf, over his knee, up his thigh...
He inhales sharply, taking a sip of beer as he listens to Tyler chat about his work day.
You toy with the zipper of Bjorn's pants. Of course, you can't unzip but...
The feeling of something getting firmer beneath your touch sends a thrill down your spine, makes your pussy pulse with want. Your eyes meet Bjorn's again, and oh fuck, if the sight of the blue of his eyes being taken over by his pupils doesn't make your cunt fucking damn near gush...
You remove your foot, watching Bjorn's fingers tighten on his can, his eyes burning into your face, trailing to your lips, down your neck, your breasts...
His eyes snap up to the mark on your neck, his nostrils flaring as he leans back in his chair, throwing back the rest of his can in one smooth gulp.
"Gonna head," he grunts, grabbing his coat from the back of the chair and holding it on his lap, glancing between the pair of you. "Enjoy yourselves or whateva, alright? Try not to fuck in front of everyone, yeah?"
And he's off, before you or Tyler can even say a word. Tyler watches after his cousin with concern, brow pinched and frown of worry firmly set into his handsome face.
"What's up with him?" He ponders, and you hum, taking your eyes off of Bjorn's backside in order to smile at him.
"No idea."

Oooo darling!! Your latest TASM fic sparked and idea!
(Before that, hello lovely 🩷 i hope you're having the best spooky season!)
Big brother!Sirius coming to save some poor sod that upset his slytherin!sister (Regulus' twin). So you have the charming & fun Sirius; quiet & regal Regulus; loyal & volatile reader. And i imagine Sirius calls them his twin stars (because hes deffinately a huge sap).
Where wolfstar is in 7th year and has a great relationship with the twins (maybe theyre trying to become their legal guardians behind the scenes). He and Remus are in their dorm before Peter bursts in, breathless, only saying "y/n" before Sirius is off. He has no doubt to why you were put in 🐍, and god forbid someone actually hurt his baby sister.
On reader's side, someone made a snide comment about Remmy being a halfblood or ruining the Black legacy or something and reader gets pissed because shes actually quite fond of him.
Then whatever you decide love; maybe reader gets hurt; maybe she does the hurting; maybe Remus saves the day with his long legs; or Sirius might show people what growing up in the 'Noble house of Black' does to someone. And idk what Reggie is doing, i imagine he was making out with James and they come in at the last minute ("😱 james!! What have you done!? Youve DEFILED one of my precious stars!!! Let go of him!!!! NO, dont touch him, get away.")
Anyway bub, as always; dont feel pressured and take all the creative liberties youd like!! Love you lots darling x
Hi my lovely, thanks for requesting! I really need to get more creative than bloody noses but ugh they're just so classic
cw: blood
big brother!sirius + (as opposed to x, I guess?) little sister!reader ♡ 861 words
“You weren’t there!” you insist as Sirius stalks back and forth across the room, tapping his wand against his leg in a quick, restless beat. “He said—he—” You look at Remus, the boy’s eyebrows drawn together in concentration and concern as he presses a cloth under your nose, trying to stop the blood that’s already crusted down your chin. You decide to keep your mouth shut.
Remus smiles wryly, and you know he suspects why you’ve chosen to go quiet. “It doesn’t matter what they said, love. I don’t need you getting in fights for me.”
“Who was it?” Sirius demands, for probably the fourth or fifth time. You’re losing count.
“It’s already been hand—ah!” Remus murmurs an episky while you’re distracted, and you flinch, hands flying to your face as your septum snaps back into its proper place. “Fuck, could’a given me some warning.”
“Sorry,” Remus says, and he looks like he means it, tilting your chin up to continue cleaning your face as you look at him with teary eyes. “Thought it might hurt less if you weren’t expecting it.”
“How do you figure?” you ask him, somewhat miffed.
“Back. On. Task.” Sirius claps his hands with each word, coming to a stop in front of you. “Who did this? Remus is my boyfriend, I have twice as much a right to defend his honor as you do, you—you fucking—squirt.”
You sneer at the childish name, but you know your brother means to rile you. “I told you, I handled it. He won’t do it again.”
“And he’s never going to touch you again either,” Sirius promises menacingly, squatting in front of you to look you in the eyes, “if you just tell me the fucker’s name.”
“Alright, that’s enough,” Remus says, taking his boyfriend’s shoulder in a spindly hand, the touch both soothing and controlling as he pushes Sirius back from you. “Let’s just let her rest for a minute, yeah?” Sirius sputters in protest, but Remus moves in front of him, pressing his face into his boyfriends’ dark locks. You roll your eyes at the display, though a tiny part of you loves that your brother has someone who loves him this well. Once he quiets, Remus speaks in a low, soothing voice. “I know, I know, you won’t be deterred from your vengeance, but there’s time for that later. Let’s just calm down for now.”
It’s a lovely prospect, but at that moment, the door opens to reveal Regulus and James, both looking somewhat ruffled. James stops short at seeing you all gathered in his dorm (Remus and Sirius, of course, have every right to be here, but you’d bet he and Reg were hoping for some privacy) and stands there blinking for a moment. Your twin’s blasé facade slips the moment he sees you with blood still crusted to your nostrils and tear tracks down your face.
“What happened?” he asks, pushing past James and into the dorm.
“She got into a fight,” Sirius says, outrage instantly rekindled, and Remus sighs in exasperated resignation, his work undone. “Someone said something about Moony, but she won’t tell who.”
Now James looks upset too, eyes darting to Remus concernedly. “About Moony? When?”
“Just now!” Sirius throws up his hands. “Ten minutes ago! Did either of you see anything?”
James shakes his head, and despite Regulus’ blank expression, you catch the embarrassed shifting of his stance. “No,” James says, “we were, uh…we didn’t see anything.”
“I bet I know who it was though,” Regulus offers, that traitorous scum. He’s just throwing you under the bus to take the heat off himself.
It works; Sirius perks up. “Yeah? Who?”
“It doesn’t matter who,” you say, but Sirius cuts you off, facing your twin.
“Who?” he asks.
“It was the guy you were arguing with yesterday too, right?” Reg glances at you for confirmation, and you glare at him. Don’t you dare, your look says, but he nods and turns back to Sirius. “He’s your year, the one you guys call Sni—”
“Reg and James were coming in here to have sex!” you blurt.
It’s a wonder Sirius doesn’t get whiplash from how fast he turns around. “What?”
You nod, unable to feel guilty as Regulus gives you an appalled look from behind your older brother. “Mhm,” you say. “Their hair is all messed up, and look—their lips are swollen. Plus, they were surprised we were in here.”
You do feel a tiny bit bad for James, whose dark skin blanches when Sirius turns on him. “James Potter, did you come in here to defile my brother?”
James looks to Remus for help, but his friend only turns his palms up like Sorry, what can you do?. After a second, Regulus steps closer to him.
“Sirius, we—”
“Don’t touch him,” Sirius practically retches. He shakes his head, grabbing Regulus by the arm and all but dragging him from the room. “Alright, listen. You are going to tell me who was talking shit about Remus, and then we’re going to have an entirely separate conversation about boundaries.” He casts a noxious look back at James. “And I’ll deal with you later!”

Scribbles and Sketches
Pairing: Sirius Black x Fem! Reader
CW: Just two idiots in love with each other and the occasional swearing.
Genre: Fluff with a sprinkle of angst
Summary: Sirius has a habit of drawing in every possession he owns. It also doesn’t help the fact that it’s the way his crush finds out his feelings.
Note: This is inspired back then when my crush (at that time) sat next to me did a sketch of me while in Biology class. Enjoy! Photos used are from pinterest, credits to the owner!
Sirius loves to doodle, whether it was little stars on his converse shoes, some random quotes he found funny that he decided to write in the back pages of his notebooks, or how there’s always a little scribble of ‘S.O.B’ on the first pages of his books (that he never really read, he just saw you once or twice holding or reading as you pass by him).
Walburga hates it, when she saw Sirius’ expensive hard bound books have his name scrawled out messily on the side, she was furious. She called it ‘Vandalizing’ and would punish Sirius back then for acting like a ‘mudblood’ and disgracing the beautiful pristine books with a childish scrawl.
Did he do it again numerous times before leaving to spite his birth giver? Yes, definitely, and certainly.
The night he left, he made sure to splash black paint onto the walls, carpets, and curtains— basically everywhere, he even managed to get the ceiling too. He could only imagine the horrified expression and the shrill scream Walburga did after discovering the thrashed room. A smirk of satisfaction never fails to appear on his face every time he thinks of it.
“Drawing her again, Pads?” James looked over Sirius’ shoulder, wanting to take a peek at his friend’s journal. Sirius hissed, shooing him away. “Go away, Prongs. I’m busy.” James lets out a snort, “Yeah right.”
“Just ask her out already, pads. You’re always ogling at her during classes it’s a bit creepy.” Peter teased, laughing at Sirius’ offended face.
“Sod off, wormtail.”
Remus took a break from reading his book to look at his squabbling friends. Seeing the journal in Sirius’ hands, he got curious. Placing the book down, he walked over to Sirius’ bed where James, Sirius, and Peter are. “That’s actually a pretty good sketch of her, mate.” Remus’ eyes travelled down to the right corner of the page, eyes bugging out at first then emitting a loud laugh.
“My future Mrs. Black? Really?”
Sirius grumbles, clearly embarrassed as a light blush coated his cheeks. “Don’t judge.”
“You’re such a sap, Pads!” James laughed, slapping his thighs repeatedly, finding it completely hilarious.
“Yeah, we’ll see who’s the one laughing on our wedding day.” Sirius grumbles, closing the journal and placing it in his school bag absentmindedly.
“If you even get to speak a simple ‘hello’ to her without tripping over your feet that is.”
The only thing keeping Sirius passing out and snoring in his boring Divination class is you humming next to him as you write in a blank piece of parchment. Merlin, he feels grateful and all that, but really? In the one subject he has no motivation for? Sirius grumbled; if it was transfigurations, then he could’ve shown off to you.
You didn’t fail to notice his grumbling state. Misunderstanding his actions, you thought it had something to do with you. Negative thoughts swirled around your head. Does he not like being your partner?
Putting your quill down, you felt nervousness settle in the pit of your stomach. You discreetly look to your left, seeing Sirius with a bored expression on his face. Alright, maybe you were overthinking things. He probably just finds this Divination class bollocks like you do, but you still folded the paper and placing it back into your bag, feeling a bit paranoid that he might see what you wrote.
Classes soon ended, and students hurriedly piled out, eager to get out of the boring class, muttering among themselves. You began to pack up your things, and out of the corner of your eye, you saw Sirius standing and about to exit the classroom.
“Sirius, wait!” You hurriedly grabbed him, your hands on his wrist. You blushed, trying to ignore how you felt butterflies erupt in your stomach and the tingles that you felt when you made contact with him.
A look of surprise and a light blush coated his cheeks. “Y-yeah...? What’s up?” He stuttered. Sirius heard his friends howl in laughter outside the door, clearly spying on them. Thank Merlin that you didn’t notice (or didn’t care if you did notice) as you smiled warmly at him.
“Um, so are you free this Saturday? I figured it would be best if we both worked together on the essay since... we’re partners…” Oh for the love of Merlin, please have mercy on these two people who are too coward to say they like each other. Sirius blinks—not once, not twice, but three times. You can hear Marlene snickering in the background at the exchange.
Was he hearing this right? You? Asking him out? (Okay, not really, but in his mind, it still counts as you asking him out) He was pulled out of his thoughts when you chuckled nervously, awaiting his reply. “Sirius...? You in there?” Sirius cleared his throat. "Erm, yeah! Yeah, see you at the library then?”
You smiled warmly, and Sirius thought he had been blessed by Merlin himself. “Yeah, see you at 9:00 a.m. Bye!” He watches you go to Marlene and Lily, both looking at him with knowing looks.
“Bye.” He breathes out, still looking at you.
“Merlin, Padfoot is whipped.” Peter shakes his head, smirking.
“That he is.” James laughed, watching a pink-faced Sirius make his way towards them. “Cat got your tongue, Pads?” James teased, elbowing Sirius who tried to shove him off. “More like Y/n got his tongue.” Peter snickered; Sirius turned redder.
“Nah, how could Y/n even get his tongue when he couldn’t even get a kiss on the cheek.” Remus laughed, joining in the teasing.
“You guys are terrible mates.”
“We love you too, Pads.”
You bit your lip, looking at both outfits sprawled out your bed. “Lily! Please help me pick one!” The said girl looked up from her charms essay, standing up and walking towards you.
“Are you going on a date, Y/n?”
“No, just doing some divination work with Sirius.”
Marlene perked up, her smirk evident on her features. “Are you sure it’s just divination? Not something else?” Lily scolded her “Oh hush Marlene! Y/n isn’t like that.” She turned to face you, “I think the red sweater and ripped jeans will look good on you.” She smiles, you smiled gratefully. “Thanks Lils, knew I could always count on you. Not like the other person here.” You teased, eyeing Marlene jokingly who pouted “Hey!”
Sirius groans, plopping down his bed. It seems like he couldn’t get a single wink of sleep. He tried everything, even taking a walk outside into the wee hours of the night. Remus throws a pillow at him, grumpier as the full moon is only days away. “If you don’t wanna sleep then at least let us get a fucking good night’s rest, Pads.”
He ignored his friend but kept quiet not to disturb his friends. “Merlin, the things you do to me woman...” he grumbled, rubbing his hand exasperatedly over his face. Opening his trunk, he decided to mull over what he was going to wear for the next day.
“Alright, do I look presentable?” You turn towards your two friends, dressed in the slightly oversized red sweater and ripped jeans Lily had recommended, topping it off with a maroon converse with little flowers and leaves embroidered around it. Pretty basic but eh, it works.
“Kinda meh, let’s put on some make up, yeah?” Marlene gestured to you to sit down, looking at the mirror, you frowned. “I only know how to do blush and lips though...”
“That’s where I come in, let’s make Black drop on his knees and fawn over you.”
Sirius glanced nervously at his watch, uncharacteristically quiet and early; he was a whole hour early, a huge change for the boy who’s always running late and calling it being ‘fashionably late’. By the way he was behaving it looks like he got stood up on a date, which was quite amusing to other students who are seeing this new side of him. Just sitting and having nothing to do makes him even more impatient, so he did what he did best— sketching you.
He took out his journal which he surprisingly brought and took out a pencil and an eraser he stole from Remus. He pictures you in his head, how you hum while scribbling something in a parchment next to him during your last divination class. He started to sketch, expertly drawing you as he did hundreds of times before. It took him about an hour to finish it, even having the time to detail it. He smiles lightly, adding ‘My love.’ in the right corner. It was not just some sketch as he likes to call it, it’s an art piece.
You are his muse— much like he is to your poems.
“Sirius, hey.” You smiled, sitting down beside him quietly, oblivious to a drawing he made that was practically glaring at you, waiting to be noticed. “Sorry I was late.”
Sirius blinks, looking at you “Ah, it’s no problem! I just got here too.” you smiled, pulling out some quills and parchment they would need for the study session as Sirius grabbed the books from his bag. What you both failed to notice was the little piece of parchment containing a painfully obvious poem about him.
Ah, talk about being blindly in love.
“Alright, let’s get this over with. I would seriously drop out of this class next year...” She mumbles, grabbing Sirius’ books without much of a thought.
“I’ll go start with the reading about tea leaf reading then- what’s that?” She stopped in her tracks, staring at what seemed to be a perfect drawing of her. Sirius blanched, feeling his heart drop to his stomach. Shit, you were definitely not supposed to see that. Sirius wanted to cry and disintegrate on the spot.
Your eyes scanned the page quickly, eyes catching the words “My Love” in the corner in Sirius’ handwriting. Your face quickly heated up as your heartbeat went faster, your stomach doing flips. You were speechless, eyes gravitated to the drawing. Sirius quickly slammed shut his journal, pulling you out of your trance.
“It’s not what it looks like!” He tries to save face. Although he immediately wanted to punch himself as he saw you visibly deflate at his statement. He can already feel Remus whacking him upside the head while James scolded him. As if Potter boy would do any better when facing Lily Evans. You bit your lip “Oh.”
An awkward silence ensued for a few moments, Sirius looking anywhere but you and you looking down biting your lip. “Uh, I know you said it’s not what it looks like…” You started, making Sirius whip his head in your direction. “But I just wanted to tell you… That I fancy you.” She saw the poem she wrote during divination class poking out of some of the blank parchments, Marlene and Lily had probably placed it among your parchments. She carefully hands it to him. “I’ll just do the rest of the essay, don’t worry. I know you don’t like this subject.” She quickly packed her things up and headed straight to the exit.
He sat there dumbly, reading the poem you gave to him, eyes widening when he realized it was quite obvious that the love poem was about him. Merlin, he done fucked up his chances of being with the girl of his dreams.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Remus grabbed his wrist and dragged him to a section of the library where not many people are to see the rest of the Marauders with disappointed looks on their faces. “Really, padfoot?” James frowned. “You’ve done it, pads.” Peter sighs, shaking his head.
“Just what the fuck was that, Black?!?” Remus hissed, Sirius bit his lip and looked away. “Lily told me how Y/n was excited, she’ll kill us for sure.” James shivered while Peter gulps “Don’t forget about Marlene.”
“Did your exchange your braincells for your fucking hair, padfoot?!” Remus still hasn’t finished scolding his friend. “I know I know, Moony. I fucked up.” He grumbles, looking at his Doc Martens. “To think that we even planned this with Lily and Marlene…” Remus grumbles.
“What? What plan?”
“Setting you up with Y/n, we thought this will be the perfect time.” James told him, “Apparently not” Remus grumbles. “Y/n’s got a crush on you for ages, Pads.” Peter told him. “And how would you know this?” Sirius found it hard to believe.
“Aside from the fact that she practically confessed to you earlier, Lily accidentally slipped up and told me.” James shrugged. They watch as Sirius practically scrambles out of the library, presumably off to find you. Remus folded his arms to his chest.
“Well at least he saved one braincell just in case.”
“Y/n! Hold on!” Sirius called, seeing you were about to enter the girls’ part of the dormitory. You ignored him, continuing to walk. He managed to catch up, holding your hand to stop you. “Y/n please…” You turned to him, eyes swimming with disappointment. “What is it, Black?” He visibly winced. “I-I take it back.” He told her, you raised one eyebrow in suspicion, “Take what back?”
“What I said earlier, in the library.”
“I don’t need you to feel bad for me.”
“I’m not, believe me.”
You pressed your lips into a thin line, conflicted. Should you believe him?
“I’ve also been hopelessly in love with you, Y/n.” Your eyebrows shot in surprise. He continued, “I… I was so embarrassed and panicked since… my journal was full of you.” Sirius confessed. You were about to reply when he opened his mouth again. “And your poem; fuck, it made me feel things. Merlin, I’m so stupid, I’m so sorry love-”
“If you really are sorry then just shut up and kiss me, Black.”

I want to know how many monsters spend their paychecks at Gallon's bar crying because they developed feelings for Santi 💀
" I just... He's so amazing man. I don't even know why I'm crying, I don't deserve him. "
The latest sad sap cries onto his precious counter. Gallon circumvents them to give Fasma a shot of plain whiskey.
" You really don't. " He mumbles.
" H- Huh? "
" Nothing. Say champ, why not have another night with the hunk if you like him so much? " The bartender tilts his head, trying to cheer up the loser, or get them off his metaphorical nuts.
The monster sniffles, looking into the distance, where none other than the incubus is seen on his knees, hands on his thighs and tongue out as he apparently waits for a woman to squirt in his mouth while her hammered friends cheer her on. Gallon follows their gaze. Yeah, seems like a standard night for the resident manwhore.
" Just look at him, so radiant, so perfect. I don't want sex, dude- I want to love him! "
Fasma grimaces, definitely not because of the alcohol. He's seen Santi effortlessly do some of the dirtiest shit he could ever imagine, the thought of kissing those lips could send the old geezer into an early grave.
Gallon continues to work. " Oh boy. " He hopes this one makes a scene. It's a bit fun when they break down and throw a tantrum because the incubus won't give them the light of day unless they're putting out.
The depressed sod sniffles. " Do you think I have a chance? I... I have his phone number. "
Everyone and their mother has Santi's phone number. Maybe their father too.
Gallon grins creepily wide. " Suuure buddy, give it an honest shot. The worst he can say is no, right? " Fasma wordlessly shakes his head in disapproval of the slime's cruelty.
His client starts clumsily tip-tapping at their phone, likely typing something extensive and heartfelt, and now Gallon has to admit he's invested. If only because he knows how it'll end, and he likes to see the light fade from a hopeless romantic's eyes.
A phone eventually pings on the opposite corner of the counter, Santi's. It prompts the incubus to come over, still sucking the cuntjuice out of his fingers, some coating his chin. He doesn't bother to look around as he unlocks his device and squints at the notification. Gallon, Fasma and the client are eerily silent while he opens the text.
The incubus reads about the first three lines, frowns, then looks up. " Gallon, are you busy? "
" Uhh... Not any more than usual, why? "
The phone is slid his way. " Write me a rejection message here, please. I don't want this one coming back. "
And just like that, he turns back around, likely to see if any of the other girls can play with him too.
Gallon has to contain a maddening bark of laughter that is slowly turning him orange. He didn't even recognize the mess of a monster looking so hopefully at him from just across the counter. Oh that has got to sting!
He absolutely loses his cool and has to muffle his cackling when the monster in question wails brokenly and buries their head in their arms, sobbing like a dejected baby.
Fasma pats their back twice. They need that whiskey more than him.

Hello!! Listen i have GOT TO KNOW what the White Winter Hymnal AU is about???
like??
It looks amazing?? The art is GORGEOUS and i am foaming at the mouth for more information about the story behind it!! And i LOVE the song by the Fleet Foxes!
But yeah pretty much im obsessed and i'd like to know more about what im obsessed about. Hope you're having a wonderful timezone and take care! <3<3<3
Thank you so much for the ask and interest in Hymnal!! ☺️❤️ it’s a slow burn of an au that’s mostly based on vibes and drawing/writing them has been so cozy for me. Have a wonderful day/night as well!!
Gonna take the lazy route and post of screenshot of me summarizing it from a little earlier this week:

Aaaaand here’s a little snippet of how the forest Hymnal is set in feels:
The forest bordering the sturdy little hamlet of Berk was rich with wonder. This was known. The dark, twisting vines and roots of the wild ended shy of the ring of protective runestones, and if a vein was cut open, it seeped glittering green sap. When venturing past Berk’s protections — which should never be done alone — the sun-dappled ground of the forest was laden with moss and lichen, ethereally soft to the touch. On fortunate endeavors, gatherers returned with newborn lambs bundled in their arms, harvested like fruit from the branches of trees. However, as beautiful as it was, the wild threat the forest posed was ever present in the minds of Berk’s people. At night, lights twinkled from the depths, will o’ the wisps casting their lures. Bobcat yowls startled children from their slumber, mistaken for a human scream. The blinking eyes of wolves, reflecting torchlight, lurking between tree trunks. The forest was hungry and wanting and demanded to be satiated.
Every so often, it was.
Hiccup knew he worried his father, his friends, the farther he strayed from home, the longer he dared to be absent past sunset. How was he to tell them the once unnerving black eyes of birch trees were keeping careful vigil over him, that the bracken and tangled foliage gently parted for him instead of barred his path?
It was well known that to avoid losing ones way, a warrior must wear his tunic inside out, watch where he stepped for stray sods, and never trust trails of weathered cairns.
Hiccup had trouble recalling the last time he’d been lost.
Eventually when Hiccup is out exploring with Toothless he meets Jack, and the plot gets ✨homosexual✨
Something something something, Jack gets his head popped off and this short comic is the result
But wahoo everything turns out fine in the end!
And here’s Kai’s extremely lovely post-canon drawing of them recovered and happy 🥹
❄️ the entire hymnal tag ❄️

SAP Role Review | SAP Authorization Review | SAP Role Redesign | ToggleNow
Why Authorization Redesign?

The door banged open.
“Oi! Potter! This is the Slytherin lockers!”
Harry couldn’t care less. He had one destination, one goal, and that sweaty, disheveled blond seeker was currently in the middle of undressing and Harry was turned on.
“Get out,” Harry said, holding the door open.
“We’re changing, Potter! Just because you saved the world doesn’t mean you can—”
“I said, get out,” Harry repeated, eyes locked on one thing, one pair of grey eyes that had turned to face him.
“Draco,—” someone whined, but Draco was smirking and Harry was suddenly very aware of the fact that he’d already unbuttoned his robe and his trousers were very thin and Draco was half naked, looking like the sexiest bloody thing Harry had ever seen and these sodding Slytherins were not getting out fast enough.
“Leave,” Draco said, his eyes locked on Harry. He dropped his gloves and his outer jersey onto the bench and began unbuttoning his uniform trousers. “Unless you want to have a show. You have three seconds. One. Two.--”
The Slytherins looked frantically back and forth between Harry and Draco, noticing the location of Draco’s fingers, the movement of Harry’s legs as he took his robe off and dropped it on the floor.
“Three.”
They ran out the door and Harry slammed it behind them as Draco trapped him against it.
“You’re insane,” Draco said, pinning Harry’s wrists on either side of his head.
“For you,” Harry said and Draco groaned and kissed him.
---
“Fuck me,” Harry said. They were in various degrees of undress. Draco’s trousers hovered at his ankles and his half-torn vest hung carelessly off his shoulders as he looked down at Harry who was lying on one of the benches, shirt unbuttoned and untucked, one sock on, the other off, pants at his thighs.
Draco chuckled, tucking his head under Harry’s jaw and rubbing against his neck. He mouthed at Harry, each touch sending tingles across Harry’s shoulders.
“Draco,” Harry whined, pushing his hips up against Draco’s cock. Draco moaned as Harry pressed Draco down harder on him. “Please.”
“Gods, Harry,” Draco said moving down Harry’s chest, pausing at his nipple to nip gently at it but Harry was already light headed, stuck on the sound of his name from Draco’s lips.
“Say it again,” Harry said, pulling Draco back up to face him. Draco looked at him for a moment as if wondering what he meant and then, smiled. Harry’s cock ached as it swelled. Draco leaned down and kissed him.
“I’m going to fuck you,” Draco said. “Harry.”
“Fuck, yes,” Harry groaned as Draco laughed and proceeded down the rest of Harry’s chest to his cock and without any pretense, shoved it down his throat.
---
“Shit,” Harry said, looking around them. He and Draco were tangled in each other’s arms, legs wrapped around each other, sweat, cum, dust and dirt, slathered over their bodies like paste. Draco kissed him.
“We completely destroyed this bench,” Harry said, their lips refusing to part.
“Mmm,” Draco said, hands pulling Harry closer, tugging his hair. “Nothing a little reparo can’t fix.”
Harry laughed and kissed Draco harder as they rolled off the broken bench onto the floor.
“Congrats on your win,” Harry said, rubbing his thumb along Draco’s face, following it with his lips. Draco grinned and kissed him again.
“I think we’re both the winners today, Potter,” he said and pulled Harry’s hand down to Draco’s still loosened and wet hole. Harry smiled and kissed him quickly in short bursts as he fingered him. Draco reached over and did the same.
“I won the first time you looked at me, Draco,” Harry said with closed eyes, drunk in afterglow. “I won the minute you kissed me back, the second you touched me.”
“Merlin’s beard, Harry,” Draco said as Harry’s heart leapt and spun in cartwheels in his chest. “Who knew the Chosen One was such a sap.”
“Let’s do it again,” Harry said pulling his finger out of Draco’s hole and reaching for both of their swelling cocks.
“Gods,” Draco said, meeting Harry’s hand with his. “You’re going to be the death of me.”
“No, Draco,” Harry said, climbing into Draco’s lap and positioning himself above Draco’s hardened cock. “This is us living, at last.” And Harry lowered down.

Harry throws the stick and the stick comes back to him. Actually. He’s found a passable scrap of oak and Pertinax is making due with his distracted tosses. It should work with anything, though - a ball, a javelin, the wet clay of gentleness, an attempt. The handful doesn’t matter. What matters is, it’s supposed to come back.
The name is fucked, obviously. They’d fought about it, and Draco (is he supposed to go back to Malfoy now? If Draco starts calling him Potter again he’s not sure if he’ll need to break his wrist over it or fuck him.) used the bartering chip he’d already been overusing back then, insisting that he didn’t want to do this at all so he should get an extra say. The logic hadn’t been sound but Pertinax still ended up with the stupid sodding name. Since Draco hadn’t wanted to leave London either, they'd gotten an enormous place, five bedrooms. Now that it’s just Harry, it’s about four and a half too many.
It made sense, at the time. A lot of things had. Draco said, “It just makes sense. The dog should stay with you, you’ve got the garden,” as polite and flattened as the luggage he’d been fastidiously packing. His entire wardrobe, it turned out. Watching the closets grow starving, the steady way Draco's hands folded thing after thing and his complete refusal to look up had been the first time Harry understood that they might have meant something different when they'd talked about taking a breather.
Space, Harry said and believed it. Time, Draco said and Harry started not to.
The good behavior should have been a dead giveaway. Before that, Draco fought filthy. He could be ruthless, so fucking cruel, catty, sarcastic. Nasty. It wasn’t as though he’d ever been particularly good at concealing a feeling either, the red of his face gave him away instantly. And he didn’t blush prettily, either - there was no doll dollop of pink across his cheekbones. Draco would be riddled with it in patches, bright fury crawling up his neck with a blotchy, mangled flush over one cheek and not the other. It usually made Harry laugh, which didn’t generally help matters.
He throws the stick.
Really, Draco had been reasonable for every step of the process. When it came to the money with his share of the house, friends, holidays, everything was divided up fairly. Draco handled all the legal paperwork because he always had, but also because Harry wasn't particularly interested in seeing a word like dissolution unignorably settled between their names.
The more logical and removed Draco was about it, the deeper the scathing sap churned in Harry’s gut. He knew, maybe, that something had changed, there might not be a coming back. Anger was a toss, too, just the shit-constructed sort. It used to work. The throw meant the returning. But Draco hadn’t unpacked. He hadn’t changed his mind about the country or the dog or about Harry.
Running his thumb along a gnarled slant of wood, Harry whistles. His dog follows him inside, into his house, where the lack is impossibly loud.
for day 28 of @microficmay

5 Hidden SAP GRC Pitfalls That Could Jeopardize Your Compliance Strategy
1. “One-Size-Fits-All” RuleSet Syndrome
Many organizations implement SAP GRC with out-of-the-box rule sets and assume they’re covered and are completely Sox/SoD compliant. The problem? Standard rule sets don’t always reflect the unique business processes and risks of an enterprise. They must be utilized as a baseline.
Example: A global company using a generic SoD rule set might flag conflicts that aren’t actually risks in their specific operations, leading to unnecessary firefighting and role redesign efforts.
What is the solution? It is always recommended to tailor the rule set to align with your business needs. Involve process owners and auditors to ensure relevance. Disable those which are not relevant and add the ones what needs to be part of the rule set. For example, your custom transaction codes.
2. Over-Reliance on Automated Controls
Yes, automation is powerful, but blindly trusting automated GRC controls without proper oversight is a recipe for disaster.
Example: Automated access reviews might seem great, but if managers are just clicking the approval button without understanding the risk, you’re inviting compliance issues.
What is the solution? Combine automation with human intelligence. Train reviewers on what they’re approving and implement periodic audits.
3. The “Too Many Firefighters” Problem
Firefighter (emergency access) access is meant for temporary, critical access. But in many companies, they become a backdoor for permanent privileged access. I’ve seen in some instances where the FFIDs have SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW assigned
Example: If every second user has firefighter access “just in case,” then what’s really being controlled?
What is the solution? Reduce firefighter usage with strict policies. Ensure that the Firefighter IDs have limited and relevant access, not SAP_ALL. Look at how often your users are asking for such access. Set expiration dates, and enforce approvals before access is granted. A detailed review is must after the usage.
4. Role Design Nightmares
Ever seen a single SAP role with 500+ transaction codes? It happens more often than you’d think. Poorly designed roles create access chaos, security risks, and audit nightmares.
Example: A company that grants “Display All” access thinking it’s harmless—only to realize some reports contain sensitive payroll data.
What is the solution? Follow a least privilege approach. Display tcodes does possess risks. Design roles based on business functions, not user demands and assumptions. And, no, giving everyone SAP_ALL is not a solution!
5. The “Check-the-Box” Compliance Trap
Many organizations treat GRC as a compliance checklist rather than a risk mitigation strategy. The result? A false sense of security.
Example: An enterprise that passes an audit but later discovers a critical access loophole exploited by an insider threat.
What is the solution? Shift from a compliance-first mindset to a risk-first approach. Ask, “What’s the real-world impact of this control?” rather than just checking off audit items.
Final Thoughts: GRC is Not Just About Tools, It’s About Mindset
SAP GRC isn’t just about implementing Access Control, Process Control, or Risk Management modules—it’s about adopting a security and compliance culture. The best GRC strategies combine technology, process rigor, and human intelligence to create a resilient, risk-aware organization.

Today feels like it's dragging because I feel so bad. Anyway, here's more Slick and Elena.
"I want to meet some of your brothers," Elena declares early one morning from where she's cooking breakfast.
"Ah...no." Slick replies immediately without looking up from his datapad.
"Oh, come on. You met mine!"
"Yeah, and your brothers don't hate you, so it's not the same." Slick points out, finally lowering his datapad to look at her, "Mine do."
"You made a mistake. They can't hold that against you forever."
"Sure, they can. Especially since my 'mistake' was treason. And it got some of my brothers killed."
"Okay, but—"
"Babe, you can't justify my actions."
She huffs and sets a hand on her hip, "I can, and I will. You were forced into a war, little more than a slave. Slaves can't commit treason."
"I can't tell if you're intentionally misunderstanding or what."
"No, no! I'm right! Slaves rebelling against their owners isn't treason, Slick. The only people who think that are the owners and the poor sods who don't know that they're slaves!"
"Again, babe, not quite the same thing."
Elena rolls her eyes and sets the spatula down so she's able to walk over to him and sit on his lap. Something Slick is all too happy to encourage as he slides his arms around her waist.
She presses her hands against his cheeks and leans in to pepper light kisses all across his face, "Slick, darling. Baby. Love of my actual life. Other half of my soul."
He laughs softly and tightens his grip around her, "Yeah, those are all me."
"How would you feel about talking to a specialist?" She asks, in between feather light kisses.
"Depends on the specialist, I guess."
"Lonnie, my brothers college roommate, specializes in therapy for people who used to be slaves. Helps them adjust to life away from chains—"
"I'm a clone." He reminds her, dryly.
"And he's a Mon Cala. He doesn't discriminate." Her fingers lightly trace the scar on his cheek, "There are a lot of people out there who genuinely want to help you and your brothers. But so many of them are beyond their reach. You're not, though."
"I don't know, sweetling—"
"You don't have to, of course. I just... I want you here for as long as possible, and that means taking care of your mental health as well as your physical health."
Slick closes his eyes for a moment, "Well, how can I say no to such a plea?"
She smiles against his cheek, "You can't." And then she's quiet for a moment, "I love you, Slick."
"I really don't deserve it."
"But you have it anyway. For as long as you'll have me."
"Forever, then? In this life and the next?" He lightly nudges her cheek so that she's looking at him, and he catches her lips in a gentle kiss, "Sounds perfect to me."
"Sap."
"I prefer the term romantic, thank you." Slick flashes a small grin at her, "And, once I have some therapy under my belt, we can talk about you meeting some of my less frustrating brothers."
"Deal!"

Niffty comes bouncing and landing atop Alastor's shoulders, and in front of him is what looks like.. a cake. Or, it's made to resemble one, but the entire thing is stack of venison decorated with deep fried bacon and pinky fingers. There's a little blood sloshing over the pretty floral porcelain platter, but it's mostly presentable.
"Happy Father's Day, Al!" She grins wide and plants a smooch on the side of his head. She fishes around in her apron pocket and takes out a humble but golden bracelet, self-threaded with crimson beads, and charms of a deer, a lady bug, and a cat. "Made you a little something."
Ah his sweet little sunshine, the bright beaming ball of light of his day. She makes his smile brighten just a bit more, curling up as he turns to her…to be presented with the most thoughtful ‘cake.’ Many would screw their noses up, and weaker sods would vomit, but Alastor lets off an excited deer’s bleat before he can stop it. “Oh darling, it looks simply divine!”
And then she presents him with the next surprise, this one catching him off guard. If he were a more emotional sap like perhaps the King, he might have teared up. As it is, he gazes wistfully at it, talons curling to touch a crimson bead. A lady bug, and a cat…two of his greatest loves.
“Momo…” Typically that name is spoken in a ‘five seconds away from beating your ass’ tone of voice, but it’s said soft enough that it’s almost a whisper. The thought she put into this… “I shall never take it off!”
He pulls her close, tucked against him. “Thank you….my daughter…”

Hori Hori Knife: The Ultimate Gardening Tool for Every Outdoor Task
The Hori Hori knife is an iconic and essential tool for gardeners, landscapers, foragers, and outdoor enthusiasts who value efficiency, quality, and versatility. Originating in Japan, the name "Hori Hori" comes from the Japanese word "hori," meaning "to dig," with the repetition mimicking the sound of digging. Originally used for harvesting wild mountain vegetables, this multi-functional blade has evolved into a beloved tool known for its ability to perform a wide range of gardening and survival tasks. Whether you’re planting seedlings, sawing through roots, dividing perennials, or even foraging in the woods, the Hori Hori knife is a compact, reliable, and powerful addition to any toolkit. Its sleek yet sturdy design, often hand-crafted and full of thoughtful detail, has made it one of the most cherished and durable tools in any gardener’s shed.
The design of the Hori Hori knife is what sets it apart from other garden tools. It features a slightly curved blade that typically ranges from 6 to 7.5 inches in length, with one side sharpened for cutting and the other serrated for sawing. This dual-edge feature allows the knife to cut through dense roots, stems, and soil with ease. The blade itself is often made from high-quality stainless steel or high-carbon steel, ensuring strength, rust resistance, and a sharp edge that lasts through seasons of tough use. Many blades are etched with depth measurements, allowing gardeners to plant bulbs, seedlings, and transplants at precise depths. The hori hori knife pointed tip makes it especially useful for penetrating compacted soil or digging in tight spots. This combination of features makes it a one-stop solution for a wide variety of gardening needs.
One of the most praised aspects of the Hori Hori knife is its exceptional versatility. Instead of carrying a separate weeder, trowel, pruner, and transplanter, many gardeners rely on the Hori Hori to do it all. It excels at cutting through sod, slicing open bags of compost, uprooting deep weeds, transplanting flowers, and loosening stubborn soil. Its slim shape allows for precise work in small containers, raised beds, or between densely planted crops. For those practicing permaculture or sustainable gardening, this tool supports a low-impact approach by minimizing soil disruption and eliminating the need for gas or electric-powered equipment.
In addition to gardening tasks, the Hori Hori knife proves invaluable in a number of outdoor scenarios. Hikers and backpackers use it to clear campsites, dig fire pits, and process kindling. Foragers appreciate the precision and strength it provides when harvesting wild roots or mushrooms. Homesteaders find it useful for general utility work, and it has even gained popularity among survivalists and bushcrafters for its durability and effectiveness in wilderness environments. With a durable sheath made from leather, canvas, or synthetic materials, the knife is easy to carry on your belt or pack, making it convenient to access whenever the need arises.
Comfort and safety are also key components of the Hori Hori knife experience. The handle, traditionally crafted from hardwoods like beech, walnut, or oak, provides a smooth yet firm grip that becomes more comfortable over time. Full-tang construction—where the blade extends through the handle—ensures strength and stability, preventing breakage under pressure. Newer models may feature rubberized grips for better handling in wet or muddy conditions, and many designs include hand guards to protect your fingers during intense digging or sawing tasks. Regardless of material, the knife is typically well-balanced, giving users more control and reducing hand fatigue during long sessions.
Maintaining a Hori Hori knife is relatively simple and ensures that it remains sharp, strong, and ready to go at any time. After use, rinse the blade to remove soil or sap, dry it completely, and apply a thin layer of oil to prevent rust—especially important for high-carbon steel blades. Periodic sharpening of both the serrated and smooth edges will keep it functioning at its best, and conditioning the wooden handle with linseed or mineral oil will preserve its strength and appearance. With proper care, a high-quality Hori Hori knife can last for decades, becoming a beloved tool passed down through generations of gardeners.
Ultimately, the Hori Hori knife represents more than just utility—it embodies a tradition of craftsmanship, simplicity, and harmony with the earth. It invites a mindful, hands-on approach to gardening and land care, encouraging users to connect deeply with their environment. Whether you’re planting a spring garden, clearing brush in the wild, or harvesting food from your backyard homestead, the Hori Hori knife offers the perfect balance of form and function. It is, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding investments a gardener or outdoor lover can make.
From its historical roots in Japanese agriculture to its growing global popularity, the hori hori knife continues to stand the test of time. Practical, durable, and beautifully crafted, it remains an indispensable companion for anyone who works with the earth.
