I usually convert some stuff from sims 4 if i see something I like, you can find a few tutorials which I also learned from on how to learn to do it yourself - it’s not too difficult and it is an amazing thing to be able to do when you find something you really want in your game.

Clothing Conversion Tutorial

Decor With Multiple Textures Conversion Tutorial - It’s sort of the same process with just converting decor with only one texture.

Edit: there’s also a accessory conversion tutorial which you can find on Eikeeful yt channel

Learning to convert is a good start on teaching yourself the basics of blender, milkshape and TSRW that could at some point lead to you making your own cc. 

Just make sure that you have the original creators permission, especially if you plan to release the cc to public

Gruesim is great at helping out if you ever get stuck on one of the tutorials above :)

You can also type in YouTube sims 3 cc finds and find recent cc find videos where they provide links to each cc they showcase - I’ve only started to do this recently when I’m struggling to find cc. It’s also good, because you can see what the cc you’re downloading looks like in game.
