This post came to be because I wanted to make my last submission to this event something special, aka my fav crack underdog, Melkor's Nude Statue! But sadly I couldn't find a way to make a meme of that without a visual from the show When?!?! Mcpayne.. so I thought I'd rather make a post celebrating it's creation instead :3 :D This is legit my fav crack of this fandom 😭🫶🏽

Say what you want about TROP, but the show is ironically what motivated me into delving deeper into the LOTR books and learning more about the lore. The details of the show in terms of culture, design, and aesthetic (a good example would be Númenor) is arguably what made me forgive the reshaping of canon (which should be already be forgiven, considering the problems with rights).

The real reason Sauron lost his fair form after the fall of Numenor was because he couldn’t save Melkor’s Nude Statue. That Ulmo became in possession of it was what finally tipped him over the edge.

I am impressed with your bravery. I admire you for many reasons.

*My eyes widen in amazement as you relay such a touching speech. I cannot recall the last time anyone has proclaimed such admiration to my face so sincerely. It's enough to bring tears to my eyes.*

*However, I manage to keep myself calm as I often do by hiding behind stoicism. Unfortunately for me my eyes are a blatant give away of my sweetened emotional state.*

I’ve seen a few posts going around about the villainous status of Adar vs Sauron. I have nothing further to add to what my wonderful, fellow Adarlings have already iterated other than…

Adar could be a one-dimensional psychopathic murderer and I’d still want to fuck him 🤷🏻‍♀️ whether you believe he is the same as Sauron or not*, the guy is a hot goth daddy and I am an unhinged mess because of it.

Likewise, I don’t need Sauron to be redeemed or “woobified” (is that the correct term?) to think he’s a badass character who I enjoy very much and may have fancied until I came across his boss and my allegiances permanently shifted.

There is no nuance when it comes to thirst.

*I do not believe they are the same in their level of villainy just fyi; I am acknowledging that some folks do.
