The fact that Sauron finds out what the real plan was when he senses Frodo wearing the Ring in Mordor ultimately adds to the satisfaction of his downfall. If Frodo hadn’t done that, Sauron wouldn’t have known why his land was suddenly collapsing and why his own form was withering away. But because of what happens, when the Ring is finally destroyed, Sauron knows exactly why and how. And his last thoughts are about how he was fooled, tricked, deceived, and totally outwitted by people with 1000x less power than him. That was actually the best punishment that Frodo could’ve given him: the blow to his ego that he deserved.

Eonwe: Twice as much shame on me - I cant believe... i allowed you fool me... a third time

Sauron:

Sauron: Fine! But i fool you five times the shame is back on you!

Sauron: i mean, yeah you're vunerable, but at some point you gotta start taking personal responsibility for crying out loud!

I absolutely love Annatar in the Rings of Power season 2. His manipulative gaslighting is just perfect.

During our The_Eldar_Cosplay cosplay vacation I had the chance to wear Annatar and I got a couple of awesome photos out of it. 🤩 

I definitely want to cosplay him again.

This is when Sauron is in Numenor, doing his thing, persuading people to do terrible stuff, being sleazy and charming and all that, laughing at thunderstorms, you know, normal totally NOT suspicious things to do.

Basically. I wanted to do something more 'serious' than usual, or rather put more effort in. And I've got LOTR on the brain. Specifically the Silmarillion and the Appendices (I think that's how you spell it) and all that. I wanted to do dramatic lighting. So I did.

(even if it took a lot longer than anticipated and it is now 1am...)

Twas worth it!
