Twitter post Â
After Ryoji finds his resolve through the Hero, he offers to join his team. He gives him a choice to go through a better, yet harder way to get through Tartarus, a way only he can access. It features new bosses, content, and a new spin of the final fight with Strega.
Contains: Art, battle stats, Theurgy, combat dialogue, Tartarus dialogue and banter, and more!
Full post under the cut:
â-
This AU explores the idea that instead of Ryoji leaving for the last month, he offers to join the team as a temporary team member to lend his power to help SEES reach the remaining floors of Tartarus before he merges with Nyx. More events happen that prolong the time you spend together.Â
Ingame, itâs treated like a bonus mission and an addition to get to know Ryoji better during the aftermath of November.Â
As a new addition to the team, heâll join SEES in the dorm and have his own version of FTEs with plant tending, movie watching, book reading and cooking. Heâll have interactions with other party members.Â
The player will also get to know more on his personal feelings as the Appriser. Through conversing with Ryoji, you learn in depth about Tartarus, and the player gets to see a more subdued side of him as he tries to come to terms with his identity.Â
He uses an evoker to trigger his form as Thanatos instead of using it to summon a Persona.
The player can choose to go through this route, or play the game like how it was originally set. The ending remains the same.
Party Stats:
Level: Scaleable, 2 levels higherÂ
Element: Dark and Almighty
Weakness: None, reflects pierce damageÂ
Combat style: Prioritizes debuffing, tankÂ
Theurgy - Deathâs Call: Deals massive almighty damage to all foes. Fears both enemies and allies.Â
Theurgy condition: When Ryoji sees his friends suffer a lethal blow, he feels determined to take vengeance.
Theurgy Personality bonus:
Chance to grant Arcana Burst even without completing your Major Arcana stack.
+ More damage to weak foes.Â
Intercepts an incoming lethal blow for a party member.
DIALOGUE:
Ryojiâs first Tartarus entrance dialogue:Â
Ryoji: - So this is Tartarus.
I, I can feel her. Sheâs keeping an eye on us. On me.
Remember that Iâm here to help. Tartarus is Nyxâs realm, but I should know a better way to help you get to the top.Â
Keep in mind that I may not be as impenetrable while Iâm here, and shadows will be a lot more hostile if we go this way. Are you sure you wanna do this?
MC:
> Nowhere to go but up.
> Letâs do this.
> Are you sure thereâs no other way?
Donât worry. Whateverâs waiting for us, I wonât let anything happen to you. Theyâll have to get through me first.Â
First Summon dialogue:Â
I have to do this. Everyone..Iâm sorry for what youâre about to see.Â
Get out here, Thanatos!Â
Turning into Thanatos (Persona Summon)Â
If this is what it takes.
Please look away.
Thanatos! Â
Do what you must!
CombatÂ
Shift dialogue:
All up to you!Â
Weâre in this together!
Receiving end of shift dialogue:Â
Iâm on it!Â
Theyâll get what's coming to them.
Item use:Â
This will help, right?Â
Getting healed:
I donât deserve this.
Death:
I-I hope it was enough.Â
Sorry..
AILMENTS
Distress
Itâs over.. Why do we still try?

Guys? Whatâs going on?!
Rage
Come on! Take me down if you can!Â

Hey, guys! Found something useful? Maybe?
SEES advantage:Â
They never saw it coming!Â
Ambush / enemy advantage:Â

Thatâs impossible!Â
SEES Tartarus dialogue w/RyojiÂ
Junpei: Hey, so.. Ryoji⌠Whatâs with the long scarf? And how do you not slip from it when you run?Â
Ryoji: I donât think itâs that long!Â
Yukari: Seriously? Out of all the questions you can ask him, thatâs what you go with?Â
â-
Mitsuru: For someone with no prior experience, youâve been keeping up well, Ryoji-kun.Â
Ryoji: Iâm glad you think so, Kirijo-senpai.
Akihiko: Donât push yourself, though, alright?
â-
Junpei: Ryoji! Now that you live with us, we have got to continue the game we were playing!Â
Ryoji: I donât think youâd want toâŚDidnât I delete your save on accident?
Junpei: Eh, I wasnât paying much attention to the story in the first place.Â
â-
Ryoji: I never got to thank you before for helping me settle in, Fuuka. How about I take you out?Â
Fuuka: Oh, of course! Letâs invite the others too!
Junpei: âŚYikes, dude.
â-
Fuuka: Iâve always wanted to do karaoke with you all. You should join us, Ryoji-kun!
Ryoji: Oh, m-me...?
Junpei: Yeah, youâre always holed up in your room and we never know where youâre out at night! How about we sing our hearts out instead?Â
Ryoji: Ahh.. haha..I⌠Iâll think about it.Â
â-
Ryoji: *Humming Mass Destruction*Â
Aigis: Ryoji-san. Were you the one making those sounds?Â
Ryoji: Sorry! Makoto-kun and I were listening to some songs, and now I canât get it out of my head.Â
â-
Ryoji: Aigis..About what happened before. I feel like I should apologize one more time.Â
Aigis: Instead of apologies, letâs make a promise. That weâll see this through, together.
Ryoji: âŚYeah. Youâre right. Â
â-
Aigis: Itâs strange. In the real world, youâre impenetrable. But in Tartarus...
Ryoji: Until the promised day, Iâm an obstacle to Nyx. I wouldnât put it past her to limit my power.Â
Mitsuru: So she was expecting this. Well, we just have to plan accordingly, then.
â-
Aigis: I decided to live, butâŚhow do I even begin? How would I know?Â
Ryoji: I already sense life within you, Aigis. Youâre doing more than enough.
â-
Ryoji: Wandering Tartarus must feel repetitive. Maybe I can try something! I can add some arcade machines?Â
Ryoji: Oh⌠but if I do that, Tartarus will just take it away again. *sigh* Nevermind, then.
Ken: Can.. Can you actually do that?!
Yukari: *sigh* Of course he canât.Â
â-
Akihiko: How are you holding up, Mochizuki? Think you can still keep up?
Ryoji: Heh, thatâs not even a question, Senpai.
â-
Ryoji: I hope Iâm not bringing you guys down. What do you think, Koromaru-san?Â
Koromaru: *barks enthusiastically*
Fuuka: Hahaha. Koro-chan seems to enjoy your company!
â-
Yukari: Whew..! You guys notice the shadows have gottenâŚmuch more alert?
Akihiko: Youâre right. Itâs like we unlocked the deepest depths of Tartarus that Nyx didnât want us to see.
â-
Junpei: Jeez Ryoji, you werenât kidding. The shadows of this detour are a whole different monster!Â
Ryoji: Iâm sorry, Junpei. But I promise itâs just a little longer.Â
Junpei: Who am I to back down from a challenge? Thisâll be a piece of cake!Â
â-
Mitsuru: Are you settling in the dorm well, Ryoji-kun?
Ryoji: Oh. I am, thank you.Â
Mitsuru: Of course. Just let us know if you need anything.
â-
Ken: Did anyone hear footsteps in the boysâ dorm last night?Â
Yukari: Must have been Aigis sneaking to Makotoâs room, even if I told her to not leave past curfewâŚ
Aigis: It was not me. I was out for my monthly checkup.Â
Yukari: Then⌠who was it?
Ryoji: It wasnât me!Â
Yukari: No one said it was you!Â
â-
Ken: So, where have you been living before, well, all of this, Ryoji-senpai?
Ryoji: I-I actually donât know. Anything outside of school and Makoto-kun becomes a blur.
Fuuka: Ryoji-kunâŚ
â-
Ryoji: Youâre amazing to lead such a capable team, Makoto-kun. You look good like this.Â
â-
Yukari: Ryoji-kun and I went thrift shopping the other day. It was actually pretty fun!
Ryoji: Thanks for taking me out, Takeba-san. I wanted that jacket, though..Â
Yukari: Unless you wanna blind someone with that thing, thereâs no good reason to wear it!Â
Ryoji: *sighs sadly*
â-
Ryoji: There were so many couples on Paulownia Mall for Christmas Eve. It was lovely to see.
Junpei: Ooo, does our newest member have a special someone they have in mind?
Ryoji: I-I wouldnât say that..
Junpei: Hahaha! Youâre like a tomato right now, dude!Â
Ryoji: Hey, knock it off!
â-
Ryoji: Wait, youâve reached past the 200th floor?! Akihiko: All in a dayâs work. Everyone has been putting in their all.Â
â-
Akihiko: Youâre hardly breaking a sweat. Whatâs your routine, Mochizuki?
Ken: Iâm guessing itâs him not being human in the first place?
Akihiko: Ken, thatâs not..!
Ryoji: Itâs alright, I donât mind. He has a point, though.
â-
Yukari: I won these chocolate bars, I brought them in case anyone wanted a snack. Want some?Â
Ryoji: Oh, thatâs okay. I donât eat sweets that much.Â
â-
Mitsuru: I have to say it was quite convenient for the Kirijo Group to have an extra weapon.Â
Ken: Yeah, and whatâre the odds it was a scythe too?
Ryoji: HahahaâŚ. I guess.
â-
Koromaru *bark*
Aigis: Koromaru-san is asking that if youâre Death, what will that make of the Reaper?
Junpei: I bet Ryoji here can take him down, no problem!Â
Ryoji: Iâd rather not stick around to find out. For your sakes.
â-
Ryoji: I was told you lost a close friend to the Dark Hour. Iâm sorry for your loss.
Mitsuru: âŚThank you, Ryoji-kun.
Akihiko: Heâd want us to move forward. Thereâs no use dwelling in the past.
Ryoji: I guess youâre right. Iâm here to help however I can.Â
â-
Koromaru: *bark bark*Â
Junpei: Hey⌠you think Koromaru sensed Ryojiâs true identity?Â
Ken: Oh, do you mean because of dogsâ intuition to ghosts and spirits?Â
Fuuka: I donât think Ryoji-kunâs just any ghost though..!
â-
Ryoji: Hey Takeba-san. Can I ask you something?
Yukari: I swear, if itâs you trying to ask me out againâŚ
Ryoji: Oh, thatâs not what I was gonna- Wait, do you want me to? Because-
Mitsuru: -I think I saw something important there, leader. Letâs check it out.
Ryoji: This feels too familiar.
â-
Junpei: Kyoto was so fun! School trips should happen more often.Â
Yukari: *glare*
Junpei: Eep!Â
Ryoji: Ah-! I-I swear, that wasnât our intention! It was all a misunderstanding! Leader, tell her!Â
â-
SP LOW:Â
Mitsuru: Ryoji-kun. Make sure not to strain yourself.Â
Ryoji: Iâm fine, please donât worry. I canât let up in front of a pretty girl like you, now can I?Â
â-
Fuuka: Leader⌠Ryoji seems tired.Â
â-
If Makoto has low SP:Â
Ryoji: You donât look goodâŚPlease, pace yourself. I donât know what Iâd do if something happened to you.

Ooh are we talking crochet? Speaking as someone who isn't good at math, where numbers get kind of muddy and hazy in my head and half the time, I literally have to count using my fingers--I find crocheting a lot easier to do than knitting.
A lot of the counting of crochet, when you're doing designs, is how many stitches you put in one stitch, how many to skip, how many stitches you're doing straight, et cetera. It's essentially a lot of groups of stitches that you repeat all the way down the line, and you know you've messed up when you're at the end of the row and are suddenly short of stitches or have extras. From there, it's easy to stop and count the stitches; if you realize that you messed up a row or two underneath, no worries, you can either go back and fix it or slap together a quick fix.
Ultimately if you're crocheting for yourself, the only one who's really going to notice those mistakes is you. And personally, I really think that these little inconsistencies just makes it more human.
I like to make amigurumi--crochet stuffed animals and such. For the most part, it's really a single stitch with some easy increases and decreases in a round. The hardest part is remembering where the round begins, but that can be taken care of easily with a stitch marker of some sort and moving it up every time you start the next round.
If you want some ideas for good beginner projects, scarves are a good way to start and beginner scarves really only require a single stitch all the way down. It's a good way of figuring out what your tension is, learning to identify the ends of each row, and learning stitches in general. Even though I'm not a fan of how holey they are, I have a friend who swears by granny squares--which are easy to make, infinitely scaleable, and can be made into anything from blankets to sweaters to scarves to bags to... really, anything.
If you're looking for good places to start, there are plenty of free tutorials online. There are YouTube videos that'd be more than happy to show you the fundamentals to crocheting. Just remember that if you do step into this hobby that it's okay to go at your own pace. Take your time and enjoy the process. It's all about the journey, not the destination. You're not going to be good at it to start off, and that's okay.
And take care of your hands. Seriously. Don't be like me and not stretch them out frequently. Stop if they start to hurt, use ergonomic hooks, be mindful of what your body is telling you. I hope all of this info made sense and was helpful! I wish you well!
.
#augh#thank you for taking the time to give such an in-depth response!#I feel like this explained the whole thing better and in a more encouraging manner#than my brief mandatory encounter with crochet back in elementary school#I feel kinda spoiled for seeing so many enthusiastic fiber artists show up and tell me about this stuff#it's working haha#I was already lingering at the yarn section yesterday#longingly eyeing at what's on offer near me#not that I had any concrete plans I was just looking and daydreaming#answered#anonymous

People will say "fiction=/=reality," and others will respond with articles about the effect Jaws had on people, and then they'll debate forever if this is a real effect or scaleable, etc. I'm not interested in proving that Jaws made people hate sharks, but if I'm a critic who wants to analyze Jaws from a Shark Rights Lense, let's say... I would say the film's ideology about sharks might be flawed. I can make this critique and find it valuable without ever having to prove that the movie makes people hate sharks or even that the creator intended to create anti-shark propaganda. Regardless of medias influence on culture, it inevitably reflects culture. Jaws would not exist as it does without whatever previous Shark Baggage culture carried. As a result, analyzing and dissecting Jaws gives me an opportunity to reflect on what culture thinks of sharks. This process is valuable regardless of if it proves that Jaws has a tangible impact on culture. Jaws is culture.
I'm both tired of critique being countered with "media can't make anyone do anything" or bolstered by "any portrayal of x in media risks people doing the thing." What I care about is how art reflects norms, both broadly and in subcultures. I care about what people communicate and value and take for granted. I think art has meaning and ideology. I don't want to ask "what will it make you do?" but "what happened to lead us here?"

Welcome to the Zine OâBiology (closed! Release January 25th 2025)
A multi-fandom Star Trek Zine.
Do you have strong opinions on Vulcan fraâals, Cardassian tails, or how the heck Trill symbionts reproduce? We want to hear from you!
The Zine OâBiology is a fictional comparative xenobiology academic journal set in the Star Trek universe. If youâve always wanted to wax eloquent for up to 3000 words about your theories on alien biology, welcome to your new home!
We want all your theories about all your favorite aliens! This is a friendly but competitive academic journal where the content of every paper is a little bit suspicious (is this paper based on rumor or fact? What is the methodology?) and some competing authors leave snarky comments on one anotherâs work. So just like a real academic journal, except ours features the Great Green Anthurium.
We welcome xenobiology articles on all Star Trek aliens from all series!
The final format will be a PDF that you can scroll at your leisure or print at home in order to have a physical copy of the Zine. (This way there is no money involved.)
--SEEKING SUBMISSIONS FOR--
Alien biology articles
Alien biology artwork
In-Universe advertisements
Letters to the editor
ALIEN BIOLOGY ARTICLES
How do Andorian genders work? Are Cardassians actually lizards? Why do Klingons have so many redundant organs? Whatâs the biological purpose of Bajoran nose ridges? Whatâs the best cement mix for emergency surgery on a Horta?
Youâve been pondering alien biology for years. This is your chance to infodump all your favorite theories to an eager audience of your fellow nerds!
Articles will be separated into two categories: reproductive biology or general biology. Yes, we also want all your theories on what every species is packing downstairsâŚand how they use it.
Journal articles should be fun and engaging, but also written in your interpretation of a pseudo-academic style, since this is a highly respected Federation xenobiology journal. If you want to keep things more lighthearted and less academic, check out the section on Letters to the Editor.
ALIEN BIOLOGY ARTWORK
If you have independent illustrations about alien biology we would love to see them! If you would like to provide illustrations for one of our journal articles, tell us what species you want to illustrate and weâll do our best to match you up!
Art should be in a square, scaleable format, printable at high resolution at 4x4 inches.
JOURNAL ADVERTISEMENTS
Even in a post-need future, academic journals will need a little extra funding. Submit your ads for Ferengi Oomox Creme, Self Sealing Stem Bolts, Gently Used Federation Technology, and, of course, âreproductive aids.â The weirder the better! Have fun with it!
All art needs to be printable at high resolution
Ad Sizes:
full page: 4.5" x 7.5"
Column: 2.21" x 7.5"
Half Page: 4.5" x 3.75"
Square: 2.21" x 2.18" (i know its not a perfect square but trust me)
Half square: 2.21" x 1.1"
Banner: 4.5" x 0.83"1.75
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Do you have a great idea, but itâs not enough to fill out a 3000 word article? Submit it as a âreactionâ to a previous journal article. Feel free to lay into a mythical researcher who does NOT understand why their biological theory is wrong and yours is right!
Max length 800 words. Enjoy making these plenty frothy!
WE NEED SUB-EDITORS!
The creators of this Zine are all notorious Vulcan Fuckers. Since we want the Zine OâBiology to be open to all alien species, it is only logical that we seek your expertise.
Weâre seeking fans from all over the Star Trek universe to spread the word that yes, itâs time for us to all come together in the spirit of explaining how our favorite aliens come together.
Sub-Editors will be in charge of helping us solicit articles and art for their specific race of aliens and editing those articles in order to fit into the Zine. If we donât have a sub editor for a species, weâll do our best, but the chapter on that species wonât be as good as it would be if folks with real fanon knowledge were involved.
WANT TO GET INVOLVED, BUT YOUâRE NOT A WRITER OR ARTIST?
WE NEED:
Graphic designers to help with Zine layout
Social media promoters
Alien art and article wranglers (ie: get your fannish friends involved!)
--HOW TO GET INVOLVED--
Fill out the Art or Writing (Applications now closed) Google Form letting us know your interests or reach out to the Editor in Chief at [email protected]
DEADLINES:
August 1, 2024: Last date for everyone seeking an art or writing partner to submit their request. We donât guarantee youâll be partnered up. It depends on how many people are interested and what aliens they want to draw/write.
August 18, 2024: Art/Writing partners notified. NOTE: itâs both fine and encouraged if you want to submit as a team from the start! This is for people who do not have a partner and would like us to find them one.
August 30, 2024: Final call for all journal authors, artists, and advertisers to let us know what species theyâre working with, how many submissions they plan to send, and whether their submission will be general or reproductive biology.
October 30, 2024: All art, advertising, and journal submissions are due
We hope to have the Zine OâBiology ready for your enjoyment by New Yearâs Eve 2024. We all have full time jobs and lives, so that date may change depending on the volume of submissions.
FAQ
What if my biological theories are totally different from another authorâs?
Yes. Perfect. We love it.
We want to see everyoneâs theories! Canon gave us scraps, but together we will make a meal! Expect to see many mutually contradictory articles. Thatâs part of the fun!
What about Smut?
Yes, we are accepting E rated submissions! The journal will be separated into two sections:
General Biology
Reproductive Biology
General Biology is everything but the genitals
Reproductive Biology should include actual descriptions of the mechanics and biology. Think of it as creating reference material for smut writers and artists.

Zeo Genesis is launching on Gamefound on April 29th!
Zeo Genesis is a scaleable skirmish game with big mech suits from Best Hobby Games and is written by Andy Chambers with narrative by Gav Thorpe.
For updates on the game the best place is https://gamefound.com/.../zeo-genesis-scalable-smirmish-game
To help promote the launch, I'm one of the miniature painters commissioned to paint up a set of the figures and show them off in the run up to the 29th April. These are 3d printed prototypes representing what will be in the starter set - the release versions will be HIPS plastic kits on sprues
Pictured with the minis are a few of the excellent new card buildings designed by Acid House Terrain  specifically for Zeo Genesis. I've used a Jon Hodgson backdrop for this scene.

Incredibly niche request:
Any graphic designers out there wanna take a stab at getting this design in a cleaner form? Maybe available as a downloadable scaleable format? Hoping for a more circular format so it could work for pins too. Some different font options would be great. It's beyond my skillset at the moment.
I'd love for it to be a graphic that was available under creative commons or some form of copyleft so other trans and queer amateur radio operators could use it as well.
ARRL Field Day is on Pride (June 28th) this year and I'll be at my local Field Day taking pictures. Would love to stencil this on a tshirt to wear while I'm out there.
HMU if you're interested and have any questions I can help with.
#totally cool if no one wants to take this on#if not maybe someday I can figure it out#would love to have a lil logo people can put on pins and shirts and stuff#being trans and queer in the US south AND a ham radio op#can be a little weird/lonely sometimes#other hams keep calling my partner of 8 years#my âfriendâ#and while we laugh at it#it's also weird#cause before I used her pronouns#and they assumed she was a he#they had no problem saying partner#so#anyways#it's not major#but it's enough that it grates#at times#I'd like to be able to signal that ham radio#is for everyone

Are there plans for an option to increase the ui and pause menu scale/size? I have a lot of trouble reading most text on my monitor.
Making scaleable UI and menu sizing is absolutely on our radar!

Your bare bones kitchen is actually inspiring to me. I like living in a way that I have my hands on everything that I use. The skills and knowledge you develop from a project like building your own kitchen is invaluable in being an autonomous person imo. Wisdom is power, and every year we age we just gain more!!!
Humanity has been cooking under much sparser conditions for thousands of years. Kitchens are very scaleable, you can add what you need as you can afford it. When I have the money and time I'm gonna get some wood and build cabinets but that's a future problem.
Bathrooms, by contrast, are the devil.

Ava ~ Blind devotion
Skilled with the spear and with a tongue as sharp as her blade, this headstrong, gossip-loving kitsune escaped life as a royal family relative back on Krakenspire, to the sweet comfort and freedom of the Dolphilie. She settled in Hye's manor after meeting Lurleen, officially working as her bodyguard; but everybody can see the powerful sisterly love bonding these two. Things start going south as Vladimir shows up â the worst person to put in front of Ava â and it's only a matter of time before the bomb goes off.
Tried new things â it went in a more graphic style this time. I like the effect on this piece, but I think I prefer the softer feel of the previous one. I don't want to render my drawings because I don't enjoy the process of painting, but it's still nice to have a quick shaded effect, so I probably won't make more pieces in this clean coloring style.
As always, adding text is super fun and adds so much to the whole thing. I really ought to sort my fonts tho, scrolling a list for 30 minutes trying out every single one is not scaleable at all x)

"In X culture psychotic people would be treated as spirituality enlightened people and respected" is a take I am conflicted on because
1. In good faith it's usually someone talking about their own culture and the way that being immersed in it helps their symptoms vs being exposed to the white american psychiatrist system. They usually have a nuanced take on this and I'm not gonna debunk their experience or whatever
2. When presented to someone who doesn't have access to those cultures, it's like... yeah? Do you want me to begin practicing this religious belief system? Is this scaleable? Could white culture really make a religious system that is better than psychiatry?
3. I know for a fact that I don't have any special spiritual ability or insight and I really don't want to be treated as a source on the goings on of any spiritual realm. Like I know objectively I'd just be misleading people. My delusions and stuff provide me insight into my own feelings and beliefs if I deconstruct them and consider them Not True, but otherwise they don't have any meaning.
4. Why do anxious and depressed people in general get to just have something wrong with them (even if that means being treated like shit or being presented with useless fixes) and we have to be useful to you and reject treatment and medication for the sake of your ideals

the crypto people had a point of course but
1) crypto as is does not solve the problems
2) "crypto but good" is basically not possible imo.
decentralized but also scaleable is basically the ultimate eating your cake and having it too problem, it's just not going to happen.
the only reason crypto might see some use is because they just can't be assed to go after them, because if desired the transaction enforcement will just move to the place where you put your actual money into the pipeline.
