Just because a new Mobile Suit exceeds Earth House's budget, that doesn't mean they can't acquire one through... alternative means.

Kit is HG Heindree Sturm, hand painted with the following colours:

Vallejo 72.027 Scurvy Green

Vallejo 72.025 Foul Green

Scalecolor Mojave White

Vallejo 71.070 Signal Red mixed with a drop of 71.071 Arctic Blue for the red highlights

Do you have any tutorials on how you do the 6mm buildings? I have some of lazyforgers stuff in my queue, and ive been putting it off out of color choice paralysis.

i can give you a step by step of how i did them. its very simple!

Base them with a dark or medium gray blue. I used Scalecolor's Anthracite Gray (love this color, its the best jerry, THE BEST)

While the base coat is still wet, get an orange brown (I use Orange Leather) and blob it on in random places. Let it mix with the blue at random amounts. If you mix it too much, then just add more! you cant really mess this step up

Then while all that mess is still wet, add some spots of bright orange. I use Mars Orange. Let it mix a bit randomly too. You want some spots of mixing and some spots of bright orange.

Once the whole thing is FULLY dry, you're going to edge highlight along the ridges with a gray. I used Rainy Gray. This should be easy because they are raised up significantly. If the paint runs into the recesses, you're using too much or its too thin. I don't thin the paint at all for this step tbh

lastly, you're going unevenly edge highlight with white. The edges of metal panels should get highlighted more.

Pick out doors and cords and random panels in darker colors. I like to base them with Red Leather and edge highlight them with a flesh tone

@dryderpunk asked me for the recipe, so here it is: The model is fully zenithal highlighted (spray cans of Vallejo primer, first black, then white from above).

For the carapace, I started with several layers of Vallejo Game Color Elfic Flesh (getting a semi-consistent coverage was a nightmare, but here we are I guess), after that a layer of Mummy Robes from Army Painter. I added some contrast by adding Army Painter Flesh Wash to the recesses, and then using Scalecolor Inktensity Inktense White on the areas that would reasonably catch more light. The fleshy bits were a bit easier. Vallejo Game Color Nocturnal Red, highlighted by increasingly small layers of Vallejo Game Air Bloody Red, with the smallest areas highlighted by Army Painter Warpaints Wyrmling Red. All the recesses and black pustulous areas were just dabbed with Army Painter Speed Paint Gravelord Grey. The base was done give or take the same way as the carapace (Elfic Flesh->Mummy Robes for the ground and Nocturnal Red->Bloody Red for the vines), except I was unhappy with how irregular the coverage was, so I dabbed the entire thing with Army Painter Red Tone. I would personally not recommend this step.. I think something like Flesh Wash-> drybrush of any white would go harder on this, but that's what I did, so you can learn from my mistakes :). After all this, the model was lovingly drenched in Vallejo Acrylic Gloss Varnish to give it that slimy look. And that's probably it.

Inspired by one of my mutuals, who was very nice to me recently, I bring you my first ever Tyranid model: the Swarmlord! The boy is also fully magnetised, so if I ever want to change him into a regular Hive Tyrant, I can.

The general idea behind this guy (and all the others from that hive fleet that are yet to come) was the Machine Orthodoxy from MtG, and the base by the crawl from Vita Carnis. I don't know if any of that actually transferred over to the finished model, but he's slimy, big and scary, so perfectly satisfying for a Tyranid :)

Finished the MG Fenice Rinascita that I got as a birthday gift from my fiancee <3

This was my 1st go with the new scale 75 artist range of colours and my 3rd ankheg with some minor conversation with a fimo base and some UV resin for the acid effect. Have to say I loved working with this new paint formula!
