I've had this thought in my head for 2 years

Imagine your f/o getting you a plushie:

They come into your room, saying they’ve got something for you! From behind their back they reveal… a plushie! It's soft and huggable, the perfect size, your favorite animal even! You look surprised; they say “So…I saw it and I thought you would like it…” They're all blushy, unsure of how you'll react, but you don't hesitate to give them a big hug, thanking them over and over. Of course, you'll have to give it the perfect name! Maybe they even got a matching one, so you're always together even if you're not in the same place.

I have returned >:) (I have so many questions 😭, but I'm limiting myself for now, I legitimately have a list) Will we ever see the main cast have nicknames for each other, or like if they had nicknames for each other what would they be?

Oh you'll hear a funny nickname in episode 6 haha (I was just working on that). But yeah, I call Ed 'Eddie' sometimes, I think the others might do that too later. Scarella's moms call her Scarelly or princess (an obvious one).

Neil and Xav are difficult, their names are so short haha, but Neil is Earth Guy so there's that. I just remembered, I saw someone call Xav 'dino boy' once haha

so if Callum is a teen growing up in Night Vale, it's only fair that he gets some friends too

in short, he and his friend is "a shitty version of the Breakfast Club, but super weird" according to Callum's words

so! the Night Vale Teen Gang:

Callum (obviously) Brodie Palmer-Blackwood-Sims - is the de facto leader - short and mad (lmao) - he is NOT an emo, despite the hair - a sucker for science, but if you tell him that then he'll deny it - a young eldritch being (Eye/Dark but mostly the Eye now) and calls himself the Acolyte (don't tell Jon tho) - founder of the GEBRIS (the Guild of Eldritch Beings' Rights in Society), a club at Night Vale High School

Timothy Lano - the offensive guard of the Night Vale Scorpions (the high school football team) and later, quarterback - tall, fast and a little buff - very kind and nice, although not the smartest (a true himbo <3 ) - ridiculously fond of Callum, his tiny boyfriend (oh my god they are boyfriends)

Lydia Monroe - local goth girl of the high school - very snarky and even more rude than Callum - extremely loyal once you gains her trust - rumored to be a vampire, no one knows for sure but she loves to freak people out about it - lesbian and crushes hard on Fay - she and Cal bonds over being gay and in love - they have frequent sleepovers

Fay Scarelli - aquatic (she becomes a merperson in contact with water) - member of the Night Vale High School Cheer Team - a kind and lovely person AND is very smart - she's very agile, both on land AND water - has water-based abilities, but doesn't usually use them unless it's emergency - she is extremely interested in the fear power (of what Callum told her) and made a little journal with diagrams and stuff - daughter to one of the richest people in Night Vale (her father is a businessman and owns most of the mall)

Tucker (yes, that's his first name) Kingston - african-american with stylish dreadlocks (he's proud of 'em) - running back of the Night Vale Scorpions - a smartass, hotshot guy with a witty comment on everything. ever. - is Tim's best friend since they were kids and has to endure his pining on daily basis

Janice Palmer - is THE honorary member - Callum never excludes her from anything and tells her everything - she and Cal bonds over a lot of things when they met - and then they become cousins which is having a best friend in the family - is the coolest cousin ever to Callum (his only cousin, but no one tell him that unless you want him to bitch at you) - encourages Callum to do his eldritch adventures things and message her the results - they also vibe to 80s music (Callum's guilty pleasure)

yup, as you probably has already guess, these teens are iconic as heck in Night Vale
